I wouldn't recommend people to visit the gallery unless you to be embarrassed, ofcourse the the ambience is good and they have great collections, but the staff at Taj hotel are very rude and make you feel unwanted. It seems like exclusive to elites.

The atmosphere here is just Good. The gallery had some really good art pieces. Overall if you are an Art connoisseur you should give it a visit.
Nice place for photography you can see their different types of houses out side view is awesome and cool but we didn't enter in the house boat because we felt there is nothing special to watch only old photographs is there
Not good place at all to visit. They loot money. Just to see 1 building 3floor they charges about 150INR and 50 coupon for anything to purchase. And in shop or restaurant nothing comes for 50INR. Such a waste of money and time. Inside the house one can see some very old equipment’s and posters all over the walls. Maintenance is good. Not worth the money. Food is also okok. Overall if someone has too much empty time please visit this place. Else look for other.

MUST VISIT .

You will find a handsome Man who will handover the tickets .

1) each ticket cost 150 rupees and you get 50 rupees back in form of food or souvenier

2) 3 floors and you can easily spend 30-45 minutes . Lots of breathtaking facts about history

3) the reason I gave 4 stars is because the place nearby where they suggest to but various souveniers needs a price check . Crazy prices and I think aimed at foreigners as It’s not worth the price .
Cool place but really away from the normal stays which are close to the beaches.

It's good place for people who are interested in old Goan famous houses and architecture. You'll get to see the blueprint of these houses and also some old relics.

I could not justify the 150 rs. per person ticket for the amount of information and artifacts that are on display.
The place has a very positive and calm vibe. The trees and plants around are amazing. The building of the museum is unique and beautiful. Alongside there is a preschool and primary school. The school campus is quite attractive and they have used the space creatively. As we visited on weekend, we couldn't match its timings but we were informed that they provide a tour of the school as well on weekdays in the afternoon.
To begin with, it's beautiful place architecturally. A central brick staircase that leads to three levels. Each floor is unique with a triangular volume to the entire space. Windows are designed in a sleek way, and so are the doors to such openings. It is an amazing example for any architecture student or anyone who is interested in contemporary architecture. Pay attention to the details and the place has so much to offer.

For visitors with a non architectural background, the museum has a collection of a lot of illustrations, sketches and technical drawings of historic Goan structures. The floors are well lit, and the balconies open to the views of neighboring houses that would make you feel like you're in a fairytale. I have added a picture of the same for you to visualise.

The entry fee is about 150/- with a 50/- coupon that you can redeem at the cafe or a souvenir shop in the opposite side of the road.

The ambience of the place is very green, and over-all gives a vibe that we would see in cartoons, amidst a forest type scenario.
The architecture is simple and creative. The whole surrounding is built with keeping the nature in mind. I couldn't find wastage of anything, no wood, no fancy tiles, no bling Bling lights. Natural light, metal grills and bench, locally available bricks. Brilliant!
After joining Eternal Strokes, I enjoy life more. Kalpa Ma'am have been a great inspiration since the day I met her. She is an amazing teacher with a golden heart. She has detailed knowledge in every medium she teaches. She tries to explain the essence of every art work which makes learning process more wonderful. She tries to answer every doubt very patiently. The journey with Kalpa Ma'am is truly beautiful in the world of Art ❤️.
I recently visited the House of Goa Museum on a weekend, and I had a fantastic experience. The museum is a unique and beautiful representation of Goan architecture and culture. Despite a 10-minute wait for entry tickets, I found it was worth the wait.
One of the standout features of the museum is its stunning architectural design. The blend of modern and traditional Goan styles is truly captivating. The exhibits inside offer a comprehensive insight into the history, culture, and lifestyle of Goa, making it an educational and enlightening experience.
One of the convenient aspects of visiting on a weekend was that buying tickets in advance wasn't necessary. The ticketing process was straightforward, and the staff was helpful and efficient.

The House of Goa Museum is a must-visit for anyone interested in Goan culture and architecture. It's a great place to learn and appreciate the rich heritage of this region. I highly recommend it for a weekend outing or whenever you find yourself in Goa.
The Houses of Goa Museum is a unique architectural marvel, brilliantly encapsulating Goa's eclectic blend of eastern and western influences. A must-visit for those keen to delve into the region's rich cultural tapestry, the museum offers an enlightening journey through Goa's heritage homes and their stories. A captivating experience not to be missed!

A tribute by one great (Architect Gerad de Cunha) to another great Mario Miranda. The context is Goan history, evolving Goan architecture pre Portuguese occupation and after Portuguese occupation. Set among natural city slopes amidst green environs, it is a quite soothing place to be in, particularly if you the well curated objects, framed explainers, photographs, artefacts and overall cleanliness, something a government themed museum may not offer. Though the scope is small, yet they are doing a wonderful job and maintaining the place so well. A souvenir outlet, carrying stamp of legendry Mario Miranda on almost all souvenir and articles on sale, is a a welcome feature. Don't forget to have a look at roof of the school which doubles up as a open theatre cum stage cum open auditorium. Clearly the Architect has conceptualised and shaped the place so well. Don't miss this place if you want to carry with you part of Goan history, Goan Architecture and in a way a small slice of Indian heritage!
I recently visited this place based on a recommendation, and I must say it lived up to the hype. The museum dedicated to Portuguese culture was a real gem, providing a captivating journey through history and art. The exhibits were well-curated, and I learned so much during my visit. The cafe on-site was a pleasant surprise. Not only did it offer a delightful selection of Portuguese cuisine, but the atmosphere was also inviting, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal or a cup of coffee. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness of the entire facility. It was evident that the staff takes great care in maintaining the premises, creating a pleasant and hygienic environment for visitors.Additionally, having ample parking facilities available was a convenience that made my visit hassle-free. It's always a relief to find a place with good parking options, especially in busy areas.Overall, I had a wonderful experience here, and I highly recommend it to anyone interested in Portuguese culture and history. It's a nice place to spend a day, whether you're a history enthusiast or simply looking for a peaceful spot to enjoy some delicious food and explore a fascinating museum.
The workshop conducted is wonderful. I love how she teaches with love and passion.. and got to take home such a wonderful ganpati bappa murti..
This place is amazing. Architecture is really beautiful. This place gives a different kind of vibe. Full of greenery. Entry fee is 150 and can be redeemed at the cafe. Worth visiting. All the buildings here are unique and beautiful.Easily accessible road. Keep it clean and green.

The museum designed by Gerard de Cunha is a must visit place in Goa for art enthusiasts especially architects and designers. One can learn the great deal of simplicity and style from this Ship like structure.

The museum is open to all with a fee of ₹150 that includes a ₹50 voucher that you can use at their small canteen or at the nearby gallery of Mario de Miranda.

We spent about two hours at this place gathering all the aesthetics and beauty of it. I would highly recommend one visiting this place.

PS: The curator at the front desk can help you guide to a rice paddy fields nearby or Tado lake that are sort of like a hidden gem around this part of Goa that you should not miss.
Kalpa ma'am is a rare combination of good artist and good teacher. I am lucky to have learnt a bit under her guidance. She makes the online classes so clear with voice explanations while giving demos. Its a wonder how she can take up any reference picture, and in real-time, Think - Draw/ Paint AND simultaneously TALK. To one's amaze, while giving demos she also gives tips on drawing and techniques that cater to all levels of students. Truly a pro!
After joining Eternal Strokes, my confidence has gone up. My painting skill has improved. I always wait for weekend so that I can go there and paint. Its relaxing and makes me happy.
I have done portrait and sketching classes with Kalpa Ma'am. She's a great teacher and an amazing artist. She teaches with full patience. Whenever I complete any artwork and people appreciate me I feel grateful to Kalpa Ma'am. Looking forward to learn more from a wonderful creative teacher like Kalpa Ma'am. Thankyou 😊

First time went to DAG for display of Various Artists including Jamini Roy for a theme called Tantra via Art Fervour 2022.

Loved the sophisticated display, art director was missing hence the space felt a little lonely. However, I ended up reading a book for an hour about various artists which was very informative.

DAG hosts most innovative artists showcased from India and around the world, hence felt like checking it every month for new shows!
I am learning oil painting from Ms. Kalpa.. she is an absolutely calm lady and teaches with umpteen patience and just as her artworks seen.. she is talented in all the fine art forms! She also cares and sees to it that her students don't need to spend unnecessarily on art work materials.. she helps to make best use of whatever material each one has!

Attended the canvas painting workshop, being new to canvas painting.. Learnt new techniques..
Teacher was very helpful and patient enough to explain everything in detail.
It was an amazing experience!!
The Zen Mandala workshop was amazing!! We received notes before starting to understand the meaning and benefits of Mandalas, then we practiced some patterns to "warm up" and eventually we did a beautiful Mandala. No previous experience needed, each student succeeded with the kind explanations we received. Thank you so much, can't wait to create my own Mandalas!!!
