Consigliatissimo 🩵
Very underrated museum.Every history fan should see this museum. Free for students. It's a bit small and because actually it's the house of Carducci. You can visit the Carducci's house in this museum too. Also you can see the Nobel Prize of him.
Beautiful paintings of the city, Duomo di Milano and a few intricate sculptures. You will notice many paintings have little doggies inside :) Loved the room with the painting on the ceiling, so mesmerizing. Highly recommend to visit this hidden place to appreciate some amazing art, free of charge!
Wonderful museum with a fantastic tour given by a well informed guide. Great docu-film as well. I learned a great deal about the history of Jews in Padova and the Jewish religious traditions. Highly recommend.
Important and interesting historical information.

This is worth the visit when it is combined with the palace ticket. Really nice rooms, great pieces of history and culture. The view from the caffe is lovely too.
I used to live there, owned a part of the building, very beautiful place

We came here using the ticket we’d bought at Doge’s Palace the day before. The tickets last for 2 days and you can visit 4 museums for €30. This place was huge! We were so surprised when we were walking around, it seems to go on forever and there’s always something else to see. They’ve recently restored The Royal Rooms which was an interesting addition to the experience too. I’d recommend you allow around 2-3 hours for the visit.

The museum, born from the legacy of the 18-19th-century art collector Teodoro Correr, is located across from San Marco, in the section known as the Napoleonic Wing, which surrounds the square. Both the building and the collection are definitely worth seeing. Especially noteworthy is the section dedicated to Venetian life and culture, which contains truly unique and remarkable maps! I recommend taking your time to explore the museum slowly and carefully, paying attention to detail.

This is a beautiful museum with many artifacts. I loved the maps and huge globes. The worst part was the security check to get in. It took a very long time and could have been much more efficient. We bought tickets in advance but that wasn’t the hold up.
Very lovely museum, its collection of antiques, books, works of art, scrolls are all very well preserved and displayed. It’s a very historical, cultural, educational, and informative place. I really enjoyed my time here and I would definitely recommend visiting this museum when visiting Padua.

My entrance was included with the Doge’s Palace ticket. Lots to see here to understand Venice history through the art and artefacts displayed here. The square is also visible from one of the windows.

The most of the time spent on waiting was to go through security check.
After that, if you didn’t buy tickets online you should find ticket office and get the bulk tickets (you need to purchase tickets for all four museums: Correr, Archeological, Duge’s palace and monumental rooms for the Biblioteca Marciana) so make sure you are there on time as otherwise you may need to come back tomorrow to visit other museums you don’t get to in one day.
The museum used to be royal palace with thousands of square meters covered with art, history and precious monuments of Italian history.

Tickets were 30 euros per person (don’t forget its for all four museums).
Really wonderful museum, it’s got a very impressive collection of paintings, statues, artifacts, antiques, busts and many other works of art. I really enjoy seeing the old armoury, it’s very cool. The museums contents are very well preserved and displayed, the rooms are filled with lots to see. I really enjoyed my time here and I would certainly like to go back someday. I highly recommend checking out this awesome museum.

The secret itinerary tour was great. Got to see areas not open to the general public, including Casanovas prison cell. Well worth it and the best part of the palace in my opinion. Could have spent hours here after the tour, there’s so much to see.

Visited in early November. Impressive ! Went in without any prior research or plan. They will check your bags through security upon entry; it was very fast efficient and friendly process. The whole place Feels like a labyrinth it’s easy to get lost and still enjoy it but I recommend a guide or at least an audio tour of some kind . I used Rick Steve’s but it never lined up exactly for me lol. There is a nice little gift shop and cafe at the end. Don’t miss the bridge of sighs it sneaks up on you a bit.

Beautiful palace. I'd spring for 4 museums in a visit. Each floor is very different from the next. Completely worth it. My photos don't do it justice. Visited in late November so got right in. The normal queue lines were beside us and you can see where it's normally out the door when people go in season so beware 😲

Very awesome place to visit. Theres lots to do and see in and around this area, they have several museums to check out and various types of historical artifacts, statues, antiques, paintings and artwork. I really enjoyed my time here and it was definitely worth the visit. I would most certainly recommend checking this place out when visiting Venice.

Interesting place. Very pretty artwork. Go with a tour and you can skip the line. highly recommend . Randomly, it had a shared bathroom for men and women. It was fine as each stall was it's own room. I just found it hilarious that they had a Nona standing at the door making sure you used the "right" stall. I asked my husband and his stall was just a toilet as well. cracked me up that she was so diligent about keeping everyone in line, lol. At least there were 3 female and 2 male stalls!
The Farmacia is closed permanently, still under renovation. No one knows when it will be open for visitors again. For now you can visit the Museum.
Good museum, definitely second to the Palazzo Ducale, but still worth the visit as you only have to pay a few more euros to go in. My favourite part were the maps. You can see maps that are 400+ years old. It’s pretty cool to see how they managed to do it back then, and the differences with current day maps, the changes in the name of the places, etc. Recommended to drop by.

I suggest you get your tickets online the day before or on the day if your lucky to purchase them.

You can purchase tickets on the day if its not busy. We picked a day when the weather forecast said rain.

Even with online tickets in hand you will still have to join a queue.

Set by at least 2hrs to get round this place. Its massive.

It's worth seeing, but it can get a bit busy.
The experience was unique, walking amongst the dead, got to see the burial attire of centuries old dead men women and children. Inexpensive experience however out of the way, taxi don’t walk unless you are young lol

Excellent museum. Fine attention to history as each display in 4 languages. Extensive history at each display and very well done. The building is incredible inside and well worth the fee to visit. The armory halls especially piqued my interest. Excellent display. Would definitely visit again. I did a self guided tour but the audio tour would’ve probably been helpful. Excellent indeed.
This place is a must visit. People who gave it 1 or 2 stars is not doing it justice. Yes it is grotesque, but not a big deal. Just skip it if you feel you are not interested. The catacombs are really big, a lot of mummies. A lot of them are not in a good shape. Some of them has skin and facial hair intact. But the 100 year old mummy of a 2 year old girl is fantastic. It really looks like she is just sleeping. Though the museum keepers didnt do a good job placing it under plastic glass and then hanging lamps over it, because it is really hard to get a good look. We bought tickets with a credit card today, cash is not needed. There is info in English if you scan QR code but I recommend reading Wiki. An interesting piece of history of Palermo.
This place is not for everyone. There are human remains hanging on the walls like a display case. If you're not ready to see it, go to an art gallery. I liked it here, it makes you think about death and rejoice in life. They don't accept cards, so be ready to pay €5 cash for a ticket.

The catacombs were as expected and worth a visit, I will say it's kinda dusty down there so you might get a bit of a tickly throat.
Spannend ... Zombieartig .... gruselig ... und doch einmalig.
Creepy but cool. I was here 35 years ago and not much has changed. It was very cool seeing the embalmed baby that would have been over 100 years old today. You can’t take pics, but I’m sure that memory would stay with you forever like it has me.

This museum had me pleasantly surprised as I'm usually not that interested in medieval history. This museum offers a very interesting and comprehensive overview over Bologna's history. International tourists are clearly not the target audience, which is why I'd suggest using the Museon App to Access more English literature on the exhibits.
Included in the Bologna welcome card. If you have that and a few hours to spare I'd highly recommend it!

A wonderful palace full of rich history!
You can buy your tickets day of, but you will be stuck in a line to be able to get inside.

The palace is wonderful, and the walls have stories of how it all came to be and how the role of the Doge was handled throughout time. You explore the halls and rooms within the building, along with the connected prison chamber and pass through the inside of the sigh bridge.
Overall a good experience, and one item as a must do while in Venice!
Interesting but the ticket price is quite expensive for what there’s to see.
Great guided tour of the two Sephardic synagogues in Venice and explanation of the first ever Jewish Ghetto. Cost is only €15. As of September 2023 two of the original three synagogues are under refurbishment, and the Jewish museum itself is closed for renovations.
Lovely museum on 3-4 floors of Palazzo Ghisilardi Fava; each of the 22 display rooms has cards available in Italian and English that explained many of the exhibits. Included in the Bologna Welcome card.
KARTENZAHLUNG ERST AB VIER PERSONEN, ALSO 20€ MÖGLICH.

Very nice trip down memory lane of pre-modern medicine. All of the notes and labels except for the introduction is in Italian, but personal knowledge helped fill in what the language barrier could not
Great collection. Lovely atmosphere. I enjoyed seeing medieval stuff for 2 hours. 4 star only because of seeing a need of improving descriptions for non Italiano people. Even some brief English descriptions.
This one is the best out of all Bologna Welcome Card museums. The collection has some very unique items. The name of the museum is a bit misleading though - it has a good amount of 16th and 17th century objects too, not to mention some older Byzantine pieces. But definitely the 13th, 14th, and 15th century pieces are its strongest suit.
For the standards of museums in Bologna, the education information provided in English was consistent. Each room has a dedicated card you can read.
The experience was very unique and aside from the academic culture of Bologna you can experience some medieval Veneto pieces which are not showcased in Venetian museums.
Very interesting museum.
With Bologna Welcome Card Easy the entrance is free of charge. In each room there is description in English on the cards, but not all of the exhibits has English subtitles. Muse On app works here, where you can find more info in English about the exhibits. If you would like to read all I think that you need about 2,5 hours. Selenite medieval walls of Bologna and very old handwritten books is a must see. I encourage strongly to visit the museum.
Nothing much in display compared to other museums and galleries. Descriptions are not in English. There are cards for each gallery which is in English. But it takes time to match the artefacts on display and artefacts described in these cards. App is not that user friendly. However, the staff was friendly.

Meraviglioso
The museum is temporary closed for renovation, but the synagogue tour is still ON.
I wish someone would update the listing. It's not hard to do. This place is closed until who knows when. We walked 5 miles in the August heat for nothing.
it is a very nice experience full of old objects from the time of independance. Uniforms, arms, pictures and paintings. If you are a jornalist like me you don't pay. I think is a very important place to visit in Bologna. And the house of Carducci it is owesome.
Bologna has a welcome card which costs €25. This cards provides you with access to museums, palaces etc as part of the price. The card gives you access to the museum. The museum is open Friday and Wednesday 2–7pm, Saturday and Sunday 10am–7pm, Tuesday and Thursday 10am–2pm, Monday Closed. It is advisable to book a time slot to enter. The museum contains the city's history. Inside of the museum you can see old walls.
GALATTICO.
Piano terra uniformi armi articoli del Risorgimento bolognese.
Alzate gli occhi agli affreschi!!!
1 piano la casa di Carducci, ancora arredata.
Libri libri lbri ovunque.
Magnifici gli affreschi.
5 euro. In omaggio pure rivista e libro.
Friendly and informative tour guide, (Silvia I think?) who gave us a detailed tour of the ghetto, pointing out the different areas and history and then took us into the large Sephardi Synagogue. The actual museum is currently closed for refurbishment. Highly recommend this tour, even the teenage kids enjoyed it!
It's a great little gem. Essential if you spend anytime in the ghetto. Plus the staff are friendly and knowledgeable.
Venice is an unique place to find the prints of jewish italian life. If you go to the Gheto Vechio, you will see the carving of mezuzahs at the doors, kosher restaurants, bakeries, judaica stores and the Jewish museum with its three synagogues (one of them still functioning today) you’ll tour trough Venice’s jewish life and connect to it. In the museum they offer guided tours in english and italian. If you want a deeper conection to judaism in europe, do not hesitate.
Cute little museum, audioguides would have been better with headphones. You can hear audioguides in other languages during the tour and it’s hard to hear your own!
Explains the history behind the Trulli and the general area. Well worth doing before exploring the Trulli themselves and it is in and old Trulli
A very interesting local history museum. Arranged in date periods starting with geology that explains the history and continues through rooms each explains a historical period to end of 20th century. Given computer pad (mine in English) with commentory guide through each room. I found too much information, confused rather than helped by technology where displays on walls (in Italian), in later rooms, video displays, and always sound of other guides all confusing.
I haven't seen it. It is supposed to be closed for renovations for two to three years!
Great way to experience the story of the Jewish community in Venice, which is a very fascinating history.
Allow a bit of time before the tour of the sinagogues to appreciate the small but informative museum. The sinagogues are uniques in style - Venice was a place of exceptions - so well worth a visit
Beautiful exhibit, almost private tour. The staff were very friendly, knowledge and helpful. Well worth visiting!!
Prior one star rating was a typo. This museum is 5 star
Magic place where you can discover the origin of the medicine. Really notable the old pharmacy
Amazing museum ans such friendly staff!
A small, but very impressing museum....
Interesting museum about Alberobello and its history. Good insights into Pugliese peasant life from the Bourbon dynasty through independence and onwards, as well as the role of the newly-formed carabinieri in cleaning up the banditry problem in the region.

On the downside, the audio tour runs at a breakneck speed, so make sure to keep your finger on the pause button, and don't stand still too long as the lights are all on motion sensors with short timers.

Had to share the photo of this inhabitant with a striking resemblance to Sam Elliott...
Very interesting place. Help me to understand the history of Alberobelo and unique houses of stone.
Amazing site, stunning
Beautiful collection and nicely done descriptions. Highlight is the tour of the gorgeous synagogues.
The truli buildings are really fascinating but everything in this is now made to take waaay too much money from tourists.
This museum is interesting to visit, for 4€ we have all the information we would have wanted, in many languages (audio guide supplied).
There are even probably too much information given, so in the end it was a bit long.
The whole building lies under several Trulli, so you can really imagine how life is in these habitations.

I recommend!
Interesting, a bit small and most information is in Italian but they have a short guide in most languages a tourist would speak.
