22時過ぎの入店で生演奏も終盤でしたが、お店を開けている時は何らかの生演奏が楽しめるそう。
真ん中の大きなピアノを囲うようにバーカウンターがあり、常連の方々が楽しむ良い雰囲気に包まれていました。
ママもスタッフの方々もお綺麗です。
楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

友人に誘われて初訪問。
名古屋では少なくなったJAZZ LIVE HOUSEで
貴重な場所。
生演奏を聴きながら、お酒とおいしい料理で素敵な時間が過ごせるところ。

Good price for food, it was tasty and the music was great. A calming atmosphere.
Was there one night. Performance and atmosphere is great. They serve simple home made food. Selection of rum and whiskey are ordinary global brands.

Good music and nice atmosphere. Didn't try the food but the drinks were expensive. You can find the performance days and the entrance fee in their website. The staff doesn't know much English but they have English menu and very kind people, so do not worry about the language barrier. The seats closest to the drum was a bit loud when the music got faster, so use ear protection if possible.

English speaking staff, always have good artists, amazing atmosphere, wish they had more food options (like more chicken meals), overall very good experience.
JAZZをメインにした老舗のライブハウスで、友人、知人が出演するときにたびたび訪れます。
ライブ料金以外に500円のチャージがかかりますが、ひとり3品オーダーすればサービスになります。
この日のライブは前売りがあったので事前に予約しましたが、前売りは前日までにチケットをお店に取りに行かなければならないようで、結局、当日チケットの価格になりました。
なので、すでに次に行きたい前売りのあるライブがあるなら、ライブに行ったついでにお店で前売りを買うのが良いです。
お酒は一般的なBARと同じぐらいの価格設定。
料理は手が込んだものが色々あり、ライブハウスなので割高設定ですがふつうに美味しくいただけます。
ひとつ残念なのは、この日はファンの多い演者さんだったので、私たちのテーブルに後から来たまったく知らないおじいさんふたりが相席になってしまったことです。
席については事前に割り振っているライブハウスが多いなかで、ここの場合は早く来た人から好きな席に座っていくようなスタイルなので、事前に予約してあっても、満席になるようなライブでギリギリに着くと、知らない人と相席させられます。
お店のすぐ西側にあるコインパーキングは通常200円/30分ですが、19時以降は400円打ち切りになるのでオススメです。

Perfect evening at a small jazz bar with good food and reasonable drinks
Miles is such a special and intimate bar. The staff is incredibly welcoming and friendly. The bar is small and centered around piano, fitting around 8-10 seats. They have very talented performers and beautiful bar. When we visited they were celebrating a regular customers birthday. Everyone was very friendly sharing drinks and cake to celebrate with them. We would have been so sad to miss Miles and meeting the staff. It’s really a special place in Nagoya. There’s a 4500 seat fee, but it was well worth it for the night filled with talented jazz performance.
Awesome place with live music and really good musicians. Been there multiple times already and always enjoyed it.

Gig usually starts at 7:30pm so maybe best to have diner and then go there.

12月14日はサックスプレイヤー、宮里陽太さんのLiveでした。スターアイズさんへは初参戦でしたがプレイヤーまで近く、料理もリーズナブル、ボリューム満点でツナサラダ、生ハムピザ、スペイン風オムレツの三品でおなか一杯になりました😄

老舗ライブハウスだけあって、有名どころのミュージシャンがひっきりなしにライブをされている様子で、店内は密な雰囲気であるものの、その分、アーティストの方を間近に感じられる雰囲気のいいライブハウスです…♫
ドリンクもフードメニューも充実していて、程よい値段設定で提供されていました。

杉山寬’s jazz piano solo at The Wiz with collaborators playing bass and alto sax. Good music, good Moscow mule, and good chocolate cake! The owner Ryoko and staff are super friendly. What a wonderful venue!

ワンプレート料理の予約を勧められましたが、時間が時間なのでコーヒーとケーキを注文しました。飲み物が先に来てしまい、ケーキはコーヒーを飲み終えてから出て来ました。
ライヴを予約した時点でワンプレート料理以外は遅くなると聞いてはいましたが、それなら遅くなっても良いので コーヒーとケーキをいっしょに出してほしかったです。
ライヴは最高でしたが、お店はあまり広くないので 他のお客さんとの距離が近く、このコロナ禍ではちょっとそこが引っ掛かる点です。

A great place a few blocks away from downtown ShinSakae-machi Station, easily accessible from downtown Sakae. If you get drunk you can walk back to your hotel no problem.
The liquor ranges from the 600 yen upwards to top shelf bottles and cocktails.
Haven't tried the food, but everyone's got a plate when I go.
The atmosphere is great. Clean, well-lit stage, good sound quality. The shows I've seen have been really enjoyable, including a group of Japanese musicians playing New Orleans jazz.

The owners are great, the food is good, the drink selection is awesome and the jazz events are fun.
My first ever solo jazz bar experience was here, and I gotta say I don't think I can find much better! It fits about 20-30 people, so if you're worried do make a reservation in advance. Some of the patrons started a conversation in Japanese with me (which I appreciated), which only goes to say how warm the atmosphere is. Tonight's line up of Toshiyuki Miyasaka & band was fantastic. He made sure to speak with each patron. Coming back for sure!

I was invited here by a friend who is a sax player, and before that I wasn't aware of this place.
I've been missing out! I've been in Nagoya for four years, and I wish I had known about Caballero's sooner!
The drink selection is vast, with liquors lining the walls and shelves. The atmosphere is warm, with dark woods and faded photographs of musicians that have visited the bar. Mounted guitars frame the stage, creating an even more jazzy mood.
The owner, who goes by the nickname Boss-san, gave me a hardy handshake and farewell after the show.
An intimate, welcoming, hide-away of a jazz club in relative walking distance to downtown Sakae.
I definitely recommend it if you have the chance to go.

A nice cosy jazz bar regularly featuring some pretty amazing world-renowned/class musicians.I couldn't believe my luck when I found out I could see Ben Wendel, Nate Wood and Harish Raghavan in such an intimate setting. Not cheap but worth every yen. The food wasn't bad either. I just need them to keep the heater on in the winter.

We had the best time at this funky and intimate jazz club. The owner is warm and made us feel very welcome. The liquor selection is impressive, and if you don't see what you want on the drinks menu he will create something else for you. The food menu has appetizers, entrees, and desserts. The trio performing that night was excellent. We will definitely be back

One of my favorite places in Nagoya. Best to reserve, and know you'll be charged for the show based on the artist (you can look up online). Make sure to arrive on time.
