Highly competitive hanbok rental area around the palace. I get that it can be very stressful, but from our experience it was no rushed. Instead of catering to our individual needs and wants you felt pressured to book immediately.

rude staff spoke in Korean criticising me not realising I understood everything she said - saying I was too ‘complicated’ and ‘difficult’ did not want to try to fit more than once even though their policy allowed for 2 fittings. Did not want me to change my mind. Tone of voice was rude saying I’ve come to the wrong shop. One star for the refund. If you want a decent level of patience and service go elsewhere

This is the second time I used them and the disappointment lingered. They dont seem concerned with my wants or enjoyment of a cultural experience. The woman wanted to just dress me and be done. When it came to my hair, she wanted to do a bun but I insisted on something else which she did hurriedly and halfway. I get that there are lots of people but I have been to other hanbok rental places where they didnt treat me like a conveyor belt item.

They have a good selection l, and it didn’t feel as packed and busy as other shop I saw around! We enjoyed the experience, I suggest you spoil yourself with the whole package: hairstyle, hat, shoes etc! We found it quite cheap and it’s nice to have the whole set!

All the workers were incredibly accommodating and ready to give suggestions when we didn’t know what to pick! All three types of hanbok were of great quality and the prices are WELL below what they should be 👌. Perfect location if you want to go to Gyeongbokgung Palace (which you totally should - it’s free with the hanbok 😮💪). All in all a great experience 😌😌

Lovely staff, a great selection of outfits. my boyfriend and i rented for 2 hours. Hair and purse was included in the fee. They also have furry capes you can rent for an extra 5000 fee to keep you warm in the cold.

A little bit pricier than the options I've seen on klook for a 2 hour rental it is 30 000 won. But it is a very convenient location next to the palace so its worth it.

They had all sizes and it was just across the street from the Palace. Keep in mind that, yes, you get in the palace free in hanbok, it's only $3 vs the $30 for rental. Worth every penny, though!

Wonderful hanbok rental place I found off of kkday. Very kind, helpful and talented staff that helped us find the perfect hanbok that was the right tones for us. This place is easy to find. They have wide collection of beautiful hanboks for you to try on. It may take quite sometimes for you to try the hanbok as you have to wait in line for the staff to help you with the hanboks. The service is very good, the staff are nice. I

Why word so small and difficult to read? It's the intention?

The quality of the hanbok is quite decent. However, to get more choice of styles, you will need to book at the earliest slots. The store gets very busy and the queue to put on the hanbok is long. The staff are fluent in Mandarin and English. Overall I am happy with the hanbok I rented but be prepared to queue least 45mins in the store to put on your hanbok and get your hair done.

A good place to rent Hanbok. We made a reservation in advance. It’ll make the process easier. I got a really nice outfit and was able to rent it for about 3-4 hours for 27000 won. It’s right next to the palace so you don’t have to walk far.

I liked that you were friendly even in Google Messages, and I appreciated that this place is always open while others are closed.

I went there with 2 of my friends we dressed up as 2 warriors and 1 general and the feedback we got we amazing! We been ask to take a photo with by soo many people and some was sure we worked there.
Location is amazing and the service was soo kind and patient.
Not everyone speak English there but you will easily find someone who can.

My visit experience was absolutely fantastic. The service was excellent, and the atmosphere felt very warm and welcoming. The facilities were well-maintained and clean, and the staff members were incredibly friendly. Additionally, there was a wide variety of hanbok styles, and there were also various sizes available, allowing me to find clothes that fit me we It was truly a satisfying visit, and I definitely look forward to coming back again in the future!

Phenomenal experience. Group of 5 of us, everyone had personal attention including hair. Everything was clearly explained. They offer a photography service, which we selected. Jane was fantastic, followed us around despite it being super hot. She was extremely patient and kind. If you’re going to the palace and want to add a special touch, this is the place to get your hanbok (and pictures).

Ein Laden um sich eine koreanische Tracht auszuleihen, um damit im nahen Königspalast Fotos zu machen. Obwohl meine Frau rumgenervt hat, sind die Angestellten sehr freundlich gewesen. Ein paar Trachten sind im Discover Seoul Pass enthalten. Aufwändigeres oder Zubehör kosten extra, dafür bekommt man auch die Haare geflochten.

I wanted to try wearing hanbok, Korea's traditional clothing,😄 so I searched and heard that Bukchon Hanbok has a wide selection of beautiful hanbok.👍🏻 I visited the place and was amazed by the diverse range of hanbok designs and lovely colors.😘 I am very pleased with the result, and it was a truly satisfying experience.❤️

Wonderful experience and service by Cham Hanbok. Definitely, will support them again and recommend to friends who would want to try wearing hanboks in Seoul. Staff are friendly and willingly will help you out wear the hanboks. Reasonable price too and not crowded as compared to other hanbok shops. We came after lunch to catch the 2pm guard-changing ceremony in Gyeongbukgong Palace. The headband and purses/bag are free of charge. You need to pay for hairstyling and hats for men. Clean and stylish hanboks. This shop is just across the entrance of the palace.

There are a decent selection of female outfits but very limited male outfits and they do not look at nice, the trousers are black, blue or red so clash with a lot of the outfits there. The nicer male outfits cost more as well as accessories and hair braiding.

The shopkeeper initially seems friendly asking you to come in and try but once you put on an outfit she threatens you to pay at least 15,000KRW because you have to pay for the experience of wearing a Habok or says it is to cover cleaning costs even though you are wearing the outfit on top of a t shirt. If you change your mind and decide to go for another outfit she also starts threatening that you must pay 15,000 per outfit you try. When an outfit is too large and you want a smaller size she sarcastically says how many outfits do you need to try, I will have to start charging you 15,000 per outfit you try from now on!

There are only two fitting rooms and the shopkeeper constantly interrupts by trying to enter the fitting rooms to collect stock. The shop is very cramped and there is very little space to walk.

Once you have picked your outfit she hurries you by saying “Pay now! Pay now!” Instead of waiting for you to collect your stuff and go to the counter.

The shop offers braiding and accessories for girls hair but a young girl initially wanted braiding and sat down but changed her mind but was still forced to pay an additional 15,000KRW despite no work done and clearly had her day ruined after the unpleasant experience.

The lockers are useless as they have no keys to lock your valuables and she sells additional lockers for 1,000KRW. When you ask for a key she says there is no key, don’t put any valuables in there.

Pricing is:
15,000 for 2hrs
20,000 for 4hrs
3,000 fee for every 10mins you are late.
Hair braiding and accessories such as hats also cost more but it is not made clear these are extras until later.
Additional cleaning fees or outfit fixing fees (such as tears) at the shopkeepers’ discretion (a lot of outfits already have minor tears so be careful).
10% additional fee if you pay by card.

Overall a very poor experience, there are many rental places around the village with nicer styles. The shopkeeper should try focusing on making the experience of choosing an outfit more pleasant instead of rushing customers into a quick decision and threatening them when they change their mind!

One benefit of wearing a Hanbok is you get free entry into the Palaces nearby.

Service was fast and they did all the women’s hair in our group. They even had large sizes available for big guys like me. I’d recommend for anyone wanting to add a special touch to their visit to the palace!

I highly not recommend this place.
At first, my friend and I were going to rent at One day hanbok but this place was fully booked. So we accidentally found this place on our way to the village.
We saw the price in front of the store and thought is reasonable (around 15,000for 2 hours and 20,000 for 4 hours).
The owner will be nice with you at first, she said that we can try first and pay later. I chose the first outfit and tried it on. After I finished the owner said I should change my skirt cause it too long and gave me a new one, so I changed. After that I think is not fit with my top, I chose new outfit once again, then the owner said, if I change one more time I have to pay her an extra 15,000won.
I acknowledged that and wait in line in front of fitting room, then the owner let the others that come after me skipped the line cause she said that I have tried it twice, so I have to wait ,even if I came in line first.
My friend want an accessories and hair dressing but you have to pay an extra for 5k for accessories and 15k for hair dressing. (We thought that included in dress price)

The shop is very small and not organized. The dress is also dirty. The owner also rude to us. However, their two staffs are very nice and helpful.

Very good collection of Hanbok. Clean and organized. For Discover Seoul pass, the rent is free. Accessories like hat, winter coat, Make Up for women costs 5000Wons each.
On rainy days they might not rent hanboks, so please check with them in advance. Also lockers available to safeguard personal Jackets, bags etc

The staff were really nice and accommodating. They didn't waste any time with the hairstyling either. My friends and I loved our outfits and hairstyles, half up-half down. Price wise is really good for the time and outfit we chose. We chose the premium option which came with a small bag to carry our items. They have lockers for us to place our bags in while we explore the palace. Just note you would need to give an id for them to give your group locker keys. Hairstyles were 5000won but I would say its worth it. They give no refunds if you return before the time you paid so choose the time carefully.

the attention was wonderful, they helped me choose the combination, they did my hair and the treatment was exquisite, they attended me super fast, they gave me a warm t-shirt so that I wouldn't be cold.
The lady who did my hair was adorable, she took exquisite care so that everything was perfect and with great care.
It was a great experience, and the value for money (not only the attention, but the quality of the hanbok) are incredible, they have models of all kinds, if you like the bright, or if you prefer more discreet.

Absolutely recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to rent hanbok for the palace tours.
Customer service is very nice, they give you time to pick out what you want to wear. I also had a hairdo for free; which is very simple.
What I like about this place is your dress will not look like others down the palace; very outstanding.
The place is hidden, so it’s hard to explain since I’m navigate challenge. The place is right next to King Hanbok or Hanbok King. It’s right in front, on the other side of the entrance to the palace. It’s on the 3rd floor. It opens at 9 or even earlier (I checked out at 9:10). You do want to be in the palace early to beat the crowds.
2 hours for 15,000 won; which is $12.71 (I only rented for 2hours). All day is 35,000 won I believed.

They do accept credit card.

They have beautiful hanbok and the staffs are friendly too. They can give you suggestion on what match your outfit and so on. 🥰

The ladies who manage the store are very friendly and helpful. They are very organised and never rush the customers to make the selection or when taking pics in the studio.

Their service is really good. They patient helping us to wear the clothes and tie up hair. The way of their work is really cooperation with each other. Save a lot of our time. One bad thing is really crowed during morning time. All the girls they will block the mirror for more than 15min just to tie her hair. Why don't you well prepared your make up and nicely tie your hair in your hotel?

It's definitely crowded if you don't book for earliest sessions. The store space is limited too, it adds difficulties when trying to pick your outfits and accessories. However, staffs are friendly and trying their best to accommodate all the customers. Fluent in Mandarin and Korean, and enough English when comes to communications.
