The way they serve the rice inside the chicken is very unique. However, for taste wise, the soup is so mild and closed to tasteless.
Their Michelin Guide award is only between 2017-2019. I wonder if they have changed the taste

Ginseng chicken soup is so so. Not really Michelin quality. Soup does not really have ginseng taste. Restaurant is packed, maybe because of its branding.
Note: every person needs to place an order.

It is simple but expensive samgyetang. If you have enough time, it is also a good choice to look around the Hanok Village and go out to Jongno to eat various foods. Especially eating fried chicken is the worst choice. This is not a fried chicken restaurant. Some customers order soju, but go to a better pub. Samgyetang and soju are not a good combination. I recommend a restaurant that offers more variety of alcohol and food.
Food is quite standard. So probably manage your expectations despite the store flashing the Michelin logo. Kinda same as any other ginseng chicken we had elsewhere.

Service wise, pretty much standard from the service staff, a tad pushy but ok.. Maybe it's just typical Korean service. But what irked me most was when I wanted to pay at the counter. I stood there for a good 30 seconds and the person facing me (seems to be owner) decided to just do his own stuff and only until I made a sound before he decided to put down his thing and nonchalantly take my credit card (zero greeting). Charge went through and he just handed back the card to me and went back to look at his little notebook. There is a minimum standard of customer service and he didn't even managed to meet that.
But I am happy I finally found a place to give 1 star.

The MUSt try once after a long walk around old palace. Ginseng chicken soup is true refreshment. Its super tasty broth with tender chicken with sticky rice inside. Fried chicken is necessary if you come with group of three people. Ginseng juice isnt as bitter as medicine. They mix it with some sweetness and acceptable to drink easily.
Black garlic chicken is my favorite, really flavorful. Chicken is tender, nicely cooked rice. Fried ginseng and ginseng milk taste ok to try but I didn't really crave for more. The service was really fast, 7 of us came at 12 and luckily were seated right away. When we finish, the place was packed.
So I got myself a ginseng chicken soup and an abalone ginseng soup from this place, right? But neither of them had that ginseng kick I was looking for, and I could only spot a couple of ginseng roots in there. I was pretty buzzed because I had this mind-blowing ginseng chicken soup in Gwanju last month where you could both taste and see the ginseng. But here? The chicken soup was just plain. I guess it might appeal to folks who aren't that into Oriental flavors.
Samgyetang with Abalone (1 generous big piece) is good, except I find the ginseng soup is rather mild. Probably the ginseng comes in only a small tiny cup (see photos and video).

Wow.. pretty good Korean chicken!!.. steps away from where we are staying, and passing this place everyday, that smell of fried chicken we had to try. No regrets, this is pretty good compared to what we have in Canada. Price is decent, not the cheapest but for the amount you get, it's great!!

We had dinner, bought delicious fried chicken from this shop. We really enjoyed the fried chicken.
We bought rice from seven eleven and ate the chicken with rice. We were Indonesian, and must eat fried chicken with rice :D

The noodle is tasty, and the fried Chicken are great, crispy but not greasy, I strongely recommend the Chicken with bones over the boneless one, taste a lot better!
Good restaurant thanks to its service and staff . Owing to what my Korean friend said, the fried chicken favour at this restaurant is not what he expected and that is also what I feel like. Maybe this light favour is suitable for foreigners but not for one who wants to try original Korean fried chicken and gourmets. Can try but I don't recommend it.
My husband and I love their : half spicy half garlic boneless chicken. It's not on the menu but we're glad the host lady allows us to order so. She did warn us that the spicy may make us cry kind of spicy but my husband who loves spicy wants to give it a go (he is Australian but grew up eating spicy Malaysian food). I managed to try 2 pieces of the spicy chicken and I love it albeit can only eat 1 piece at a time then with salad and garlic chicken before going back for another spicy piece. The spicy has a medicinal/herbal flavour to it which I love!!! After that initial flavour the spicy lingers a bit. The garlic is my favourite as they are generous with the actual garlic in the sauce and it's well balanced. Their chicken is also coated thinly and certain parts of it are crispy even though they have sauces. Overall amazingly delicious.
A great chicken and beer place, sadly they run out from boneless chicken in the evening, but the wings and thighs were yummy. Not as crispy as I expected and definitely way to much garlic but altogether it was a good experience. The staff speaks English and they are very friendly and helpful.
The original chicken here is really good. I would highly recommend it. It comes out hot and crispy! I would have given this 5 stars, but I also tried the spicy chicken and the garlic chicken and those were not as good. The garlic wasn't fried, and the sauce just made the chicken very soggy.
