The cathedral is big but not decorated as much as similar ones in other cities. The altar is simple and the glazed painted windows attracts your eye. You cannot tour yourself when worship takes place and even when it doesn't, you should be extra careful not to disturb prayers. Do not forget to check the crypt.
Such a beautiful cathedral. It's worth a visit. From the outside it seems to be a normal cathedral but inside it is very beautiful , peaceful and calm. It's free entry.
The interior of this cathedral is stunning and provides a very calm environment.

Highly recommend seeing the crypt, don't miss out on that!

The exterior of the cathedral isn't as striking as other cathedrals throughout Europe.
Good preservation (and renovation) of the Gothic era. It also makes you aware of how much influence that Christendom had in medieval Europe.
Beautiful and no doubt worth visiting!

A very beautiful and peaceful place. The tainted glass windows are wonderful, and the overall architecture is well worth the visit. A small detail: they have chairs instead of benches. The organ looks amazing, it must be awesome to hear it play.
What an absolutely gorgeous cathedral! It was calm and peaceful inside, the stained windows are beautiful. There is also a small staircase that leads to the crypt, wwhich is also worth visiting.

I cannot remember this church ever closing.
Well, maybe when someone important gets married, baptized, or dies. I make it a point to stop by to light a candle for loved ones when I’m in the city. It’s certainly a place to visit if you want to cool down from the heat and don’t want to sit at a cafe feeling more warm and several euros poorer. The cathedral is clean, quiet, free, and beautiful IMO even though I do not know a lot about architecture medieval, modern, or what have you.

Fausse eglise!!!
The church is part of the former Marienthal monastic compound, which is a national historic site. The church contains beautifully painted frescoes all throughtout the interior and contains both neo-romanesque and neo-got
hic elements.
