what a beautiful museum, it was a refreshing experience that left me speechless!♡
Set in a stunning historic building with a wonderful oval courtyard, the gallery itself hosts a range of temporary exhibitions and items from its own collection. When I went there were three excellent exhibitions on perfectly blending contemporary and classic.
For non-Spanish speakers be aware didactics and information is not also displayed in English so have the Google Translate app ready.
Also, you will have to cloak larger bags.

There is a nice variety of art styles.
It’s a nice museum and also it was free! Though they don’t have a parking and you would need to walk even after Uber, so be careful we crossing a road
Beautiful and tranquil grounds and an amazing collection of watercolor art. All my favorite pieces there are by the maestro himself Alfredo Guati Rojo. Extra points because there's an adorable cat who lives in the garden here. Would love to come back and take a class some time!
Skip this museum! Very few masterworks, unhelpful and uninformed staff. We visited dozens of museums in CDMX and none of them were bad except this one. Waste of time and money.
It took me a while to figure out how to get access to this place - it's completely surrounded by 3 busy roads. The deconsecrated church looks very out of place on an island among the traffic. But if you are interested in every aspect of map making (especially in Mexico), you will enjoy looking at not just old maps but the technique, equipment, and other things related to producing a map. If my Spanish was better I would have spent a long time there. But this is a niche interest - otherwise you will be disappointed by two dozen glass vitrines and an empty church. Also I think you might have to walk a bit to get there even with a taxi/Uber.
Beautiful museum. The prehistoric exhibit was my favorite, really interesting to see them recreate these paintings with ancient methods! Information is also available in English. Free entry but you need to pay 50 pesos to take pictures. I recommend grabbing a coffee at the cafeteria next to the ticket booth and enjoying the garden views!

It's incredibly cheap to get in, It's a beautiful site with incredible views and areas to take great photos. The featured art exhibit was wonderful at the time of our visit, and the permanent art and sculptures are quite a treat. Not too far from the revolution monument, it's a must stop if you're nearby.
The museum is closed. Indefinitely. As one would expect in a government-run organisation, out of >50 employees and security staff, no one had courtesy to update their website and Google maps
I was expecting more about the architecture exposition and one section was closed
It’s such a beautiful museum to stop by if you are visiting Coyoacán. They have a very nice collection of water colors. Their gardens are gorgeous too!!

From the former convent of San Diego built in XVII century now remains only the church and some yards which survived the city advance and stays in an odd hard to reach place between freeways and modern bridges, but is well conserved and has a lot of historic maps and documents about ancient and modern Mexico and the description of how are those maps made before and nowadays. You must visit it, free entrance and an Oasis of peace in the middle of the frantic city life.
There are no written explanations of the expositions. There’s also no guide to explain what you are seeing.
This place is amazing for anyone who’s a watercolor enthusiast. The collection features different techniques and styles from mexican artists as well as international, that are a great inspiration and helps you discover more of what you can do with watercolors. The gardens are gorgeous too, and great for spending a little time sitting outside.
Some interesting pictures but lacking any real blockbusters. I liked the portraits of Phillip II and Frederick of Saxony. There was a nice Ribero of San Sebastian. The building itself is probably as interesting as the pictures, and probably worth the entry fee. It costs 50 pesos to get in and 5 pesos to take photos.

This extraordinary Museum is one of the best in the country. It hosts a excellent collection of Colonial art. This magnificent building was designed by Manuel Tolsá, the famous and multitalented architect.
It's one of the most extraordinary buildings in an area trapped by time & chaos. Fortunately the building remains safe thanks to it's grandeur.
For anyone seeking for Mexican art from 1500 to 1900 this wonderful museum will surprise & fulfill your search. Take your kids to learn about the splendor of colonial and the independent Mexico of the 19th century.
Last but not least, this extraordinary mansion from the colonial times has one of the most impressive circular patios ever built during the neoclassic period.

Too bad services. Older Adults have necessities (restrooms) and there is no public services. Very raw basic necessities. Are they the same “quality” in México museums? 😩
The originals are impressive and so is some of the equipment they've used in the past.
Beautiful archiyecture and design both inside and outside alike. When you're here take a 10 min stroll down to Palacio Postal, definitely worth visiting.
Nice place for visiting
Watercolor isn't as popular and this museum is simply a gem among other collections not only for the large size of the collection but varied artists that you will find. The exterior of the main galleries is also very peaceful and there is a small auditorium for showings too.
Honestly, the museum of architecture is not really worth a visit. It is small and, although the temporary exhibition are interesting, it is difficult to call it an architecture museum.
BUT it is located on the top floor of the lobby of the museum of Bellas Artes. And THAT is worth a visit!!

There a few minutes I visited Francisco de Goya exposition, it was amazing. It'll be open till the last days of March
Nice place
Amazing spot near Mexico City's historic downtown, few blocks from Alameda square. This museum (MUNSC) curates European art exhibits all year long, from Renaissance to Romantic and Neoclassical. It's an amazing palace built by the Buenavista Count. Architecture is astonishing.
Really great museum
Top floor of the Palacio de Bellas Artes, with separate admission. The exhibit I saw was enjoyable, even if it was mostly digiprint on poster board. Concludes with a very nice cross section scale model of the palace.
