An international airport of Kuala Lumpur, it is about an hour drive to the city center. Domestic and international departure are in the same terminal for checking in. Most of the international departure for South East Asia need to board at the satellite gates, which arrival and departure are at the same level. The connection tram is now under maintenance and shuttle bus is provided, but it is not so convenient.
A very interesting city. A combination of many cultures and people from different parts of the world. Very convenient public transport. A huge number of shopping centers. Food from different cuisines, both in expensive restaurants and on the street. Almost everyone speaks English. This is great for tourists.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is a traveler's delight. Its efficiency and friendly staff create a seamless experience. From swift check-in to efficient security checks, the airport excels in streamlining the travel process. The modern facilities and cleanliness contribute to a comfortable atmosphere. Whether you're arriving or departing, you can expect a hassle-free journey. The airport's commitment to passenger satisfaction is evident in its well-maintained terminals and amenities. Kuala Lumpur International Airport is a top choice for those seeking a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
Small airport but quite fast immigration procedure
It is very busy airport I think..Of you have connecting flight, and you must check in again on your second flight, you must check carefully where your departure hall. Because there are KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. You can transit between that though train or shuttle bus.. so,I suggest to choose the connecting flight with enough time for transfer..
Nice and compact airport. All clean and fresh, although not big one. We came for flight Johor - Jakarta by Trans Nusa
1. The crowd was considerable as this is a domestic flight.
2. The announcement system can be improved. Had a hard time trying to make out what they are announcing over the air.
3. Water points do NOT exist here. All we need is just a sip of plain water, which needs to be purchased from their FNB stores.
4. The signages could be better as we are walking in circles just to locate certain gates/areas.
5. Queue line management could be better managed.
Decent airport. If you're arriving and looking to book grab, make sure you wait at the correct floor and door. They look a bit similar so check carefully.

Food options beyond immigration gates get unreasonably priced (rm9 for sausage bun) so have your meals outside.

Toilets are clean so that's a plus!
What a huge airport!! 🤩 Connected to a mall so you have lots of options. 👏🏻 After landing internationally be prepared to walk a little while to customs. It's nice though to be able to go over the huge bridge.
Senai International Airport, while on the smaller side, offers a decent travel experience. The departure hall greets you with a few restaurants and merchandise booths, although the choices are somewhat limited. Inside, the options expand slightly with additional shops and a coffee house, although the variety remains modest.

One unique feature stands out – a chai seller peddling tea on a bicycle near the arrival and departure halls. This quaint touch adds a local flavor and the chai is a budget-friendly treat at around RM5.

Navigating the airport is hassle-free due to its size, taking about 15 minutes to walk from one end to the other. However, it's advisable to arrive early as the check-in counters are few, and the immigration entry to the departure area can be cramped, often resulting in queues during peak hours.

Connecting to the city center may take around 45 minutes, though this time can stretch to 1.5 hours during busy periods. To avoid traffic and ensure a smooth journey, arriving ahead of time is your best bet. While the Senai International Airport might not be expansive, it still manages to deliver a satisfactory travel experience, especially if you plan ahead.
It has been 3 yrs since I last visited. Still find the architecture amazing. Huge and very well maintained. Washrooms were clean but can be improved on the ventilation. Plenty of F&B outlets and retails. Window displays were beautiful too.
It was nice to have water dispensers near the boarding gates. Also MAS was giving out door gifts for departing and arriving too. Not sure whether its just for a promotional period but we were happy to receive. Great service from the staff.
I arrived at the airport at past midnight. I love the ambiance and facilities are sophisticated.

Going through every inspections and immigration are all in order. No problems encountered.

Baggage collection area is clean and bags are deployed before we entered the area.

There are still fast foods, convinience stores and money changers that are operating at this hour.

There are a lot of taxi at the arrival area but I prefer using grab.
Kuala Lumpur airport is very beautiful and huge, airport staff is very helpful, they got free weighing scale along with free cabin baggage size check next to it, there are check in kiosks where you can check in yourself for the flight, people are quick to process your boarding passes and liggage dropping.

The only stuff they should on are, they need a train to transfer passengers towards departure gates, currently they have shuttle buses, which is an old fashioned way for this size of airport. The second thing they should consider is to work on e-gates for faster immigration process
A good, comfortable, functional, and well maintainde airport, a good choice if you want a cheaper flight to depart from singapore
Quality global airport. It has numerous food courts, spotless amenities, and comfortable seating. A pleasant spot to while away the hours of a layover. The airport's rail system is great because it can transport you between terminals as well as into central Kuala Lumpur.
A pretty good international airport overall. It’s fairly clean for the most part, has some good lounging areas, large food courts, and plenty of restrooms. Not a bad place to kill a few hours if you’ve got a transfer. Security is pretty easy for the most part, though international flights out of KLIA have security at the gate, which is quite unusual. I don’t have much to complain about, but I also don’t have anything to overly praise. One nice thing here is that the rail system comes directly into the airport, and can take you between terminals or into the city center of Kuala Lumpur. It’s somewhat similar to Chicago O’Hare International in Chicago, IL, USA in that regard.
Kuala Lumpur International Airport is well-maintained and has a well-planned layout with clear signage. It's always helpful when airports are easy to navigate. Additionally, it's fantastic that the cleanliness of the restrooms is well taken care of. Clean and tidy facilities, especially restrooms, are crucial for a pleasant travel experience. The airport's diverse range of duty-free shops and boutiques also provides a variety of options to pass the time. Overall, Kuala Lumpur International Airport offers a positive experience with its cleanliness, efficient design, and diverse retail options.
One of the best airports in Asia, it's located a bit far from Kuala Lumpur city but the communication way is so good. It takes about 50-60 min to arrive in KL city from the airport. Thousands of people around the airport and immigration process are very smooth.
Best regional airport I have visited in ASEAN region! Clean, compact, easy to navigate. Kudos to all cleaner to keep the premise squeaky clean. Love the immigration officers that extremely helpful and warm ❤️❤️❤️

The impression of JHB as main gateway to JB really remarkable for me. Wish to visit JB again in near future and make a connection flight from this airport
Small but functioning well, a lot of fast food options. The staff were friendly. Just be cautious on the gate changes, which happen quite often.
This is the worst airport I have ever been to, and even Subang airport is better.

During my flight to KL, the gate suddenly changed from G5 to G4 at 2:50 pm, and no one notified us. The airport website also did not update the new gate number.

As a result, many people crowded around the G4 and G5 areas, making the place humid and uncomfortable.

Finally, at 3:10 pm, the boarding process began, and the plane did not take off until 3:30 pm. (FYI my flight departure is 3PM)
The airport is around 30mins distance from the south key midvalley.
There a lot of shop inside the airport, you wont get bored while waiting for departure. They have a power bank rental station. Its located infront of pizza hut.
No frills airport, small but very functional. Check-in and immigration processes were super fast. Variety of shops around for basic needs. Lots of parking, and overnight parking charges are reasonable. Only downside is lack of water dispensers in the gates.
Quick access from KLIA/subang airport Direct flight to Johor.

Not much choices of food and retail shop here. But it's conveniently serve you while waiting for a flight.

There are car renting with reasonable price. And airport taxi is available too.

5mins away to Johor Premium Outlet or AEON supermarket. 20mins via highway to Johor city.

Of walkover the street to access for more food if you like.
