I ended up at this restaurant after the vegan place I'd planned to visit was closed for the evening due to "unexpected circumstances."
Since I love Thai food and was already familiar with what I'd order, I figured what could go wrong.
Yikes.
I greeted the woman who would be my server (in Thai) upon arrival. Once seated, I asked a question or two. She seemed extremely annoyed with simple questions like, 'is there fish sauce in the curry?', so I avoided small talk.
My food arrived lukewarm and overly sweet. The lukewarm part was confusing. I was one of only two tables, and listened to them prepare the dish just before sending it out.
I flagged my serve down for soy sauce and chili to balance things out. She never returned. As I ate my cloying dinner, other tables arrived, and her demeanor was markedly different.
Two Caucasian couples took up a couple of tables, and a biracial girl of African descent took another.
In similar fashion to me, the server barely acknowledged the young woman and fawned over the two couples. In the span of 10 minutes, I knew about the couple's dog, the server's children who were studying abroad, etc.
I don't like to make things racial, but there was a clear difference in her behavior with me (a black woman) and the other person of African descent.
Though I only spent a few days in the Netherlands, I heard similar sentiments from others.

Benchmark for Thai food in Amsterdam and unbeaten in regard of fried rice. The cooks are Thai, which makes a huge difference in comparison to "new" or delivery only restaurants in for example, Nieuw-West, that are not ran by Thai. The price-quality balance is very well. However, the beef curries can be a bit overcooked and chewy.

My wife and I had a great evening at this restaurant. The 5 course menu for the duck was very creative and delicious.
The whole team was super friendly but special shout out to the bartender Mara who was extra kind and boosted the experience there with his tips and great cocktails.

Staff is rude! They don’t understand service they put us on a table and afterwards after we ordered drink and wanted to order food they tell us we only have 30 minutes to eat and leave, because our table is apparently reserved! They could’ve mentioned that before hand before they let us sit and order!
Best Turkish food I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend coming here. It’s always full of customers and for a good reason. Great friendly service as well!

Ordered food to eat in, the waiter served it in a plastic container. When i asked why she didn’t put it in a plate, she said I wouldn’t be able to finish it. So she wanted to put it in a package already. So weird. I paid 18 euros for this.
In Regulierstraat, walking distance from cozy canals and Rembrandtplein, this Thai restaurant is worth trying. Quite dark with soft lighting, a good atmosphere for romantic dinners. The menu has many options, we chose a mixed starter (the version with shrimp), then a spicy chicken main with white rice, and a beef one with fried rice. Portions are huge, so one could be enough for sharing (we had so much leftover that we asked to take away).
The food was excellent, we enjoyed a few Thai beers with it, and the final bill was 97€ (50€ each). 👍

The staff, the food and the overall experience has been 11/10. Considering we are tourists, the staff have been so helpful in making us feel welcome and Park explained the food choices pretty comprehensively. We went for the duck dishes in the end we couldn't have been more happy with our choice. The presentation of all courses, from the two starters, to the 3 main courses to the assorted desserts was fantastic. I will definitely be recommending this place to friends! Even the harder to please people within the group were pleased!
This Thai restaurant is located in the heart center of the city next to Rembrandt. The place is super big, a bit dark inside and kind of not reflecting the Asian culture, but still nicely decorated.
Service was super well and they always come to help you and ask if you need anything.
Their menu is huge so it would be intimidating to pick from the options without knowing what they are. Portions are super big and very good value for money.
The tastes vary between fair, good and super. With the usual Thai cuisine dishes.

Insects were flying everywhere at outdoor seating in July. Even though we didn't make a reservation , we asked if they could let us sit inside when a table is availed. The waiter with curly hair just rejected upfront, and rudely put down our second order of water with a loud thud as if it had done a bad deed on him. The other table with a caucasien table, this same waiter was politely providing them with takeout boxes and etc. When it came to us ordering dessert, he refused to let us have a second serving. AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT LOCAL DUTCH AS THEY DON'T RESPECT INTERNATIONAL TOURISTS OF COLOR.
AVOID this restaurant. Rude staff and the worst Thai food I’ve eaten. Female manager needs serious retraining on customer service. I run my own successful restaurant in the UK and was shocked with the attitude of this manager, almost yelling when speaking, this is no way to behave or talk with paying customers. Starters and prawn stir fry dish was good and rest of the food was extremely poor. The chicken fried rice and egg fried rice was horrible and tasted off. We ate what we could and left the rest. Asked for the dessert menu and the female manager raised her hand to look at her watch in front of us as if to imply we haven’t got time for desserts and replied we don’t have dessert menu only have ice cream. Seemed like they wanted to get rid of us. This was by far the worst service I have ever received in a restaurant.

Ik heb 8 jaar bij een pizzeria gewerkt en word elke keer teleurgesteld omdat er nog maar weinig pizza bakkers zijn die begrijpen wat een goede pizza is, maar deze pizzeria niet, deze chef begrijpt het heel erg goed en de pizza was verrukkelijk🙏🏻
Super authentic Thai food , I used to live in Thailand and this is really really spot on with the flavours. I've been here three times now on various trips to Amsterdam, my only gripe is the way they try get you out the restaurant within a few minutes of finishing a meal. The first time actually was whilst waiting for dessert !
I was dining with my friend Vera, her husband Chris and daughter Kimi. The atmosphere was nice. The food was well proportioned. Even Chris recommended me to always come here for a good turkish Dinner in Roermond
Absolutely the best bulgur salad I've ever had. And chicken wrap was also really nice.
This place used to be amazing for a takeaway durum but now it is really disappointing. We just got a 8 euro falafel wrap and it just came with some pathetic lettuce. The falafel itself was good but these wraps used to come loaded with other veggies and were so delicious. They don't have a proper chicken durum anymore either. They instead do a wrap with this gross, fake cheese - this was also super expensive (11 euro) for what it was.
Pretty average Turkish cuisine for a lot more money than competition in the area. Not sure if the ownership changed, but used to be better before the renovation.

Excellent spot for awesome Thai food with generous servings and delicious taste ordered green curry and pork chillies, service with only one wait person which can be looked at. Overall a 5 star …visited on 24 April 2023
Very nice restaurant, a bit hidden in the city center. Good ambiance. Very helpful and friendly staf. We had the chefs menu. 5 courses (which are quite good in proportion). You can tailor if you don’t want certain things. The duck is great. The bento box is nice. But my recommendation would be the calf sucade beef in red curry, tasted really great! Als there is a large selection of wines, the dishes are paired very well, the owner knows his wines. We will come back for sure!
Expected more. Main course consist of 5 pieces of fish? Really? Wow! Never will cone to this place. Don't recommend, sorry guys.🤔

I visited this restaurant and their food is amazing good, our friends are frequent clients of them for years and wow exquisite as they said, a place with history, very cozy since you step in, very excellent service and treatment from their staffs and the owner all the time, we started with some aperitifs and good Spanish wines, they have various menus to choose from different things and of course their specialty Mosselen! Their croquettes are real fresh and tasty, a delicious crabs soup, we had bunches of mosselen OMG like heaven, juicy and flavorful, their frietjes are ok but can be better, desserts also good, but definitely i will visit this place again and if you are in the mood for mosselen, thi is the place to be!!! See you soon!
Ordered the tavuk sis, bread was way too dry, no sauce. Poorly made salad and the little portion of chicken was also too dry. Also really overpriced if I had to pay over 8 euro for this poorly made sandwich…
Best Thai in town and fortunately (almost) neighbours. When you you've eaten somewhere over a hundred times without a single meal being off, you can say a place is consistently GOOD. Also, fair prices that are not raised frequently/sharply. Highly recommended.
Cam here for the Peking duck 5 way menu for a celebration. The food was savory and fantastic. While the dinner took awhile for 5 courses it’s was faster than many other Dutch tasting menu restaurants. This is a unique experience that I haven’t had in 10 years in Singapore. This was on par with the Peking duck I had in Singapore. The bring the Duck table side for the first course and carve it up in front of you. I was absolutely stuffed when I left. Service was good. Fantastic food even for those who don’t like Chinese or haven’t had Chinese before. Highly recommend for a unique experience or special occasion. Menu was reasonably priced.
I have had a lot of Pad Thai in Europe and this is probably the best by far. Unlike the westernised Pad Thai you have everywhere with bland, disappointing flavour palette, the one here tastes so authentic that I wonder if foreigners would be able to appreciate it. On top of that, the Thoeng Thong (fried dumplings) is amazingly good here. The filling is generous and very well seasoned. Great place!

I always make a point of coming here whenever I'm in the neighborhood. Burritos, so tasty. Quesadillas, delightful. Tacos, lovely. 3.5 stars? I dunno what y'all are smoking! 5 from me! Thanks!

The best kebab ever we had in our lives so far. We were starving after a flight and walking around 30min to get to our hotel, even that the portions were in a incredible size, we ate everything until feeling satisfied. We were so happy that we came back on the following day. I highly recommend this place.
The lady working the front was very busy, efficient and on top of things despite the number of customers dining inside and coming and going for takeaway orders. All the food was very good- pad Thai, curries with garlic and black (1 with fish and another with prawns). 2 areas for improvement: A) both curries were very sweet and B) the portion of rice accompanying the curries was very small relative to the size of the curry.

I went to Chung many many times while living in Rotterdam and I still have really good memories about it as an original and fancy place to go dinner.
They serve a “duck menu” consisting on three or four courses based in duck. If you enjoy eating and gastronomy, I’d recommend the four courses menu. Top quality of the food served in a beautiful and caressed way.

Vandaag een niet zo'n goede ervaring met mijn pistolet gezond. Heb het restaurant gebeld en er is afgesproken dat ik de volgende een broodje gratis krijg. Aangezien ik geen broodje meer wil kan ik de 6,50 als korting krijgen op mijn volgende order. Nou... voor nu kan ik hier totaal niets mee maar word vervolgd.

It’s not authentic mexican food of course but they do have jarritos (a mexican soda) that made me feel just at home. The meat is good.
Pizza en shoarma schotel met kaas keurig op tijd geleverd. Pizza was heel lekker. Shoarma met te veel kaas en te kort gebakken friet was niet zoals ik gewend ben van Bella Italia. Hopelijk volgende keer weer zoals normaal alles erg lekker.

The food is tasty and for this price at such a location you'd expect a lot less. But it's good. And the staff was very kind and professional. I can recommend if you're hungry for Thai and in the area.

Perhaps one of the most popular restaurants that serves mussels in the area. Don't expect a large mussels menu. You can only have the house style mussels. There is a good wine list ranging from the typical "mussels wine" to some nice, but expensive, Chablis. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

Not too crowded, quite busy for a Monday, nice surroundings, service was very gentle and polite. The 4-course Chef's Menu was good as expected. Highly recommended.

Worst Peking duck I have ever had and way over priced. Don't microwave food. If you can't make it fresh don't sell it. The duck was old and sat for a long time to then be microwaved and sold to me.

The food is really good, but of course it's adapted to the European taste, so don't expect 100% Mexican food. But they do have enough choice and they also have more "exotic" soft drinks.

Delicious pizza but it's actually a take away restaurant. They only have 1 table to sit 4 people at. Recommended for ordering for home.

The quality of food isn't constant
We ordered food from Palinuro and totally fell in love with it. We had only vegetarian options but they prepared it the best possible way. U won't find a better Italian restaurant in Amsterdam or amstelveen.
