Best Bar & grills in Netherlands

Food takes way too long to be served (over 30 minutes). This is why we were only able to order 4 rounds instead of 5, in the 2 hours. Our orders were also canceled multiple times, and this cost us also time.

The meat and squid is being served in 1 trey. No regards for cross contamination. Most of the time, you don't even know even if you received all the meat you ordered because it's all being served in 1 trey.

The meat is seasoned with a weird type of seasoning that makes it inedible. I have been to many Asian restaurants, and this is by far the worst tasting meat.

No deserts are included in the buffet. For the price of 40 euros, you would think it would.

The sushi was the only good thing, but for this price, there are many other better restaurants.

To be fair i did go on a busy day, but that does not excuse all the above-mentioned problems.

Alternatives: for 5 euros less, you can go to Sumo or ShabuShabu. For 8 euros more you can go can go to an all you can out Korean barbeque which had better qaulity fish and meats. And also includes deserts.

Quality of the food is excellent. Service is also good. The only thing I'd change is not counting side dishes as part of your order. Each person can order 4 things per round, but if you want lettuce or another side dish with your meat, you only have 3 choices left.

We went here to celebrate my birthday, and I love it, we got nice cocktails, a good bottle of wine. Staff really had patience with everything because I changed a lot of things a lot of times.. But luckily they were really really nice and patient. The food was delicious and you had many variations. Different type of meats and sushi’s, we had a great evening and for sure will come back!

Eine sehr schöne Activity Bar.
Man nimmt von außen gar nicht wahr, dass diese Fläche riesig ist. Mehrere Spielbereiche. Auch die Autos Simulatoren im Untergeschoss sind beeindruckend.

I mean its alright and close to a lot of facilities like the cinema but the food is mid at most and nobody serves your food with a smile.
Paid 100 euro for 2 persons without Alcohol which is too expensive for the quality of the food.
Only good thing is the location so dont go out of your way to go here

I recently had the pleasure of dining here, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Really good chicken & fries, but it is always too cold inside, and the staff say that there is nothing they can do about it. A real shame because an unpleasant temperature is really detrimental to the experience of a visit.

I loved the place! It’s modern and quiet clean and the service is so good .. the food was the best part !! I loved everything about this place, me and my friend ordered iraqi mixed grill. and it was so delicious.. it was my first time there but it wouldn’t be my last time of course ❤️

The service is simply amazing. The staff is very kind and everything is brought over to your table quickly.The shisha lounge upstairs is the perfect place to chill with a tv in the room incase you wanna watch a football game with friends. Whatever you order is pretty good for a fair price considering its location. i come here with every one of my friends atleast once a month

We recently dined at Middle eat. The food was absolutely delicious. Their loaded nachos are a must try. The ambiance of the place is warm and cosy. The prices are reasonable. They sometimes give discount if you book in advance online. The only downside was the service time. Even though the place was not crowded, the food took a long time to arrive. Apart from that everything was good.

This place doesn't understand customer experience. It's not worth the price.

The food was okay. I like the sweet sour cucumbers. It really soaked up on flavor, although it was a tad too sweet. Most of the meat taste okay but it's adjusted to Western taste (sweet marinade). The fried prawn was oily though. The fried rice was really plain, it lacked ingredients. Uncle Roger would disapprove.

What really showing is that they don't understand what it's like for customer. The pictures on the menu doesn't match with what you get. E.g. the picture of the beef rolls show multiple beef rolls, the name literally says beef ROLLS. But you only get one beef roll. Other dishes like you can get multiple items, so it's really confusing. They have really rough wooden chopsticks. No scissors to cut up the meat.

The beef rolls were fine at first. When you order more, you will get more and more onion instead of enoki mushrooms in the rolls. At the last round, we counted 4 onion pieces in one beef roll.

The unagi sushi was the smallest I've ever seen.

You have to pay additionally for dessert (2 euro for a scoop of icecream).

Some pros: the exhaust is on the side of the grlling area, unlike the pipe in the middle at Korean bbq restaurants. They do constantly change the baking paper. We got extra candies.

The price-quality-quantity is amazing! A lot of veggie and vegan options. I enjoyed it very much!

The wings and burgers were great, the bar staff had good knowledge of their beer so we're able to recommend us a few that we enjoyed. But the unexpected Show Stopper was the Courgette side dish! I've tried to recreate at home ever since. Definitely recommend.

Outside of a mostly neutral atmosphere, the food and service was amazing. I could go here and order the 1/2 chicken every week and not get tired of it. The staff was very helpful and friendly, and was happy to make suggestion about the menu when asked.

Located on Prinsengracht, Amigo Grill Restaurant,  has great views of the city's most famous landmark, Westerkerk and its 85 meter  (almost 279 feet) high tower, which was completed in 1638.

This Argentinian-themed eatery has colourful murals of gaucho cowboys and a large cow staring down from the ceiling.  It has comfortable seating, together with a delightful outside terrace.

Catering predominantly to tourists,  the restaurant shares its kitchen with Amigo restaurant, a few doors down,  just around the corner, on Rozengracht.

In general, the restaurant attracts good reviews for its meat dishes, but a recent lunchtime visit proved to be a great disappointment.  Having reserved for four persons, three decided to begin with onion soup, which arrived as a tasteless watery clear broth, most likely made from a powder substance, bearing no resemblance to its namesake. Each person took a spoonful and declined to finish the remainder. The calamari was edible, but nothing to write home about.

My main pasta course arrived fifteen minutes before the dishes ordered by the remainder of the group.  Having waited until the rest were served, it became  unappetisingly cold. All dishes suffered from a serious lack of seasoning, and none were returned fully consumed.

The apple pie cheesecake, ordered out of curiosity, contained no cheesecake whatsoever; We were totally mystified why it was named as such.

The solitary waitress had done her best to be accommodating  throughout, in what was clearly an awkward situation. We were offered a glass of liqueur with the bill. Unsure if this was restaurant policy, or her attempt to appease, but it was a nice gesture.

Would we return any time soon? Highly unlikely.

Fun place to play some jeux de boules in the middle of the city. I haven't tried the food, but service and atmosphere are good. It's a great option for an activity with friends or colleagues.

The food was so good and the vibes were 10/10. You could tell that all the food was made with love and care, and all the rolls were fully stuffed and beautifully plated. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very chill & relaxing. A great spot for a date night or good time with friends!!

Fantastic all round. Food, service and location were all terrific. We had the mixed grill and it did not disappoint. Seasoned well, cooked too perfection and great portions.

Fantastic setting if you sit outside by the canal. Service was wonderful. Food came out quickly. We shared one of the complete plates for two, which had more than enough food for three people. Meat was plentiful, but the steak and chicken were very bland (just salt/pepper). Recommend ordering one of the sauces that may have been on the menu.

I sometimes feel like you people have no clue about customer service and delight, but at this restaurant they have proven the opposite! We have received great service and have had a really nice dinner with great food in a very nice atmosphere. You should visit this restaurant if you are in the neighbourhood!

Absolutely delicious! A mix of varied middle Eastern/North African cuisine. And, I ❤️ the background music too. A place excellent for Vegan/Veggie eaters too.

Food was fine, but when I went to pay I was told that it was cash only. This wasn’t specified anywhere on a sign or stated before I sat down. I find this highly unusual for a place in the Netherlands. Furthermore, I was then directed to get cash out across the street where I had to pay a 4 € fee to take out 40€. Disappointing.

Kloek used to be just a chicken restaurant but they expanded their menu. The food is still good but it's too busy. The staff makes mistakes. Like forgeting one dish. When I went to the bar to ask about it, not anyone noticed me. By the time we finally could speak to a waiter the other dishes were cold. They forgot the sugar and milk for the coffee and there was no waiter we could ask for it. They don't ask if you want another drink and then they only serve 2, not 3. All in all. Better fry your own chicken.

The food here was amazing. We ordered a few different items, and everything was fresh and incredibly tasty. The falafel, tzatziki, chicken, and rice were all delicious.
Two of us split the large chicken steak kebab plate and three appetizers, and we were very satisfied. Great service, nice atmosphere, and amazing food. Highly recommended!

With my husband want to eat something for lunch but not to much, walking from Amsterdam we found Amigo Grill, it was delicious 🤤! Perfect we was searching, we ordered just the entrance, empanadas de carne and chorizo 😋, the personal attention was very good 😊. Thank you Amigos Grill !!

I loved my ribeye steak! I ordered it medium well, and it was juicy and delicious. I also ordered the green salad, it was delicious too...

I didn't expect to be disappointed coming here because it had a good rating on Greviews. Hence, when I was in the middle of eating my 500gr (45 EUR) tenderloin, I couldn't stop thinking what actually made this place highly regarded.

I will try my best to review each element of the steak below. But before that, I'd like to say that the beef empanadas were good. I just wish they were bigger in size.

Now, the steak.

---Serving method and doneness---
The steak was served on a hot steel plate. Which means it was still being cooked when it arrived at my table. I really don't like this idea because to me a good steak should be rested well before serving to keep the juices. This way, the doneness of the meat became confusing. It was pink in the center but the grey layer was already too dry. Plus, there was no crust on the outside.

---Seasoning---
Underseasoned is truly an understatement here. For a steak with this size and thickness, the taste was almost nonexistent. I was surprised. I had to grind salt and pepper on the side of my plate and pat it with my steak in every bite. It's almost like the chef was trying to say "I give you the meat, you go season it yourself to your liking", which is a bad approach in a restaurant.

---Sauce---
First off, there was no complimentary sauce. Not even one. I had to pay 2.5 EUR for each bowl of sauce I ordered. I tried two different sauces: the chimicurri and the mushroom sauce. The former was okay but the latter was astonishingly disappointing. I never thought a steakhouse could go wrong with mushroom sauce until I tried Amigo. I don't know what they used as the base for the sauce but it tasted as if they infused mayonnaise with mushroom.

After 3 bites, I couldn't even tell the difference in taste between the mushroom sauce and the frites sauce (mayo?) that they left at the table in sachets (which, btw, looked so unprofessional for a steakhouse).

---CONCLUSION---
I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to someone who is looking for an exceptional steak dining experience.

But if you're a guy trying to impress a girl by taking her out to dinner, and if she doesn't care much about what makes a steak good, Amigo could be a very good option because of the price.

this restaurant is all about BBQ'ing that meat! so be prepared to get some protein overload...and please come here with your empty stomachs...YES that's right don't eat breakfast and lunch and skip everything to this dinner...it will be a feast that counts as 3 meals.

the Bibimbap is also tasty! we ordered it twice (the portion is quite big so if you're with a group it should be no problem)
i was surprised by the Curry rice..it was really nice to eat :-)
a neat feature is that some of the seafood things they serve in aluminium tins so it won't stick on the grill...(usually some of those seafood things are quite saucy and things can get messy if you grill everything on the pan) but with this it's no problem!

Great place to be with friends and have a few drinks and some nice chicken burgers. Perfect place too for a weekend afternoon to watch football while having a quick bite. Will surely visit again

Fancy and all good. Portions are bit small so if you a fatty tou will leave with some space inside

Amazing sushi and unique dishes!!

This was by far the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life. The meat was so juicy and tender. If you are or visit Utrecht, you have to taste this dish. The beer selection was also very good and the waiter was so welcoming and friendly!

Dont eat in this restaurant,the service is horrible and the food is not cook well

The way to treat the customer is bad. I was asking where can I wash my hand , and one waiter shows the way inside. I wash my hand in a washdishes and suddenly a waitress coming and asking what I am doing and thats not appropriate to wash my hand over there. Then I explain but still didnt get it with my explanation. No politeness at all.

Just the place for come n go in the crowded place with no loyal customers.

Atmosphere was pretty chill with nice upbeat music. Even though I lost every game it was a great place to hang out, enjoy some beers and play jeu de boules. Only downside was the track which wasn’t too good. Would recommend this place to anyone who isn’t a professional jeu de bouler.

The place is close to the main station, it's easy to find and inside is very spacious. We had a few beers and got hungry but we didn't realize it was already past the kitchen closing time. We have asked the staff member Noah and he was super kind and helpful he went out of his way and "fixed" us two burgers. Noah made our visit special with his positive attitude. Would return 5/5. Food was great also.

The nice thing about our visit here is we could have both sushi and BBQ all you can eat at one place!

The choices for both sushi and meat are not that much, but they surely serve good quality of meat. Most sushi also tasted good with a right amount of sushi rice (some places might give you a bunch of rice just to make you stop eating haha!). Another plus point is we could have two scoops of ice cream for dessert :)

Quite fun since it's not a sport people frequently do. The location is perfect, and the staff is friendly. The only downside is that our drinks took a long time every time we ordered, and they had several out of stock drinks we wanted to try which were on the menu.

Amazing place for playing Jeu de Boules. You can order through the waiter but they also still have the covid system with a QR code, which i personally love, so please keep this. The playing areas are nicely dressed up and high quality.

The food is really nice, we loved the sushi and the meat dishes. The drinks were also very tasty and the staff was super friendly! Only downside was we didn’t have the best spot, we were kind of tucked away in a dark corner of the restaurant. But still it was a very nice experience!

Good service and not very crowded.

Great food, good beers and friendly service! We had the half-chicken, burger and hot wings and everything was delicious! They forgot about the baked beans we ordered and brought to us after we finished our meal and so they didn’t charge us for it. This was a nice gesture too.

Great food if you go there yourself to pick it up. But for takeaway ordered online, my sashimi was delivered warm after 50+ minutes, even though I live 4 minutes away literally, and I got a stomach ache. That should not be acceptable. They also don't put any ginger unless you pay for it, even if your order is 50EUR. I was very disappointed by the delivery quality because I've bought here almost daily by going there by bike and then the food is very nice. Side-note: one time I bought their cup of ginger and it was 80% empty with a weird dark spot on one of the ginger pieces. I would like to see an improvement from this restaurant in terms of delivery and some free ginger if you order a big amount of sashimi/sushi. Also I think getting sick from food is unacceptable. Sashimi needs to be handled with care and to remain fresh.

I attach images of one of the times I picked the food up myself & it was nice then. But I cannot give more than one star if I pay 50EUR and end up getting sick from warm old sashimi. I hate to leave a bad review for any restaurant but getting a bad experience and getting sick from a premium restaurant is unacceptable and needs to be rectified. I would almost call for a refund but I can't be bothered. I hope they improve so I can change the review.

Had a great lunch today with tasty freshly made dishes. Enough parking spaces in the neighborhood and next to a shopping area.

Pessimo.Tipica trappola per turisti. Ci hanno "adescato" all'ingresso con mille gentilezze e poi ci hanno servito cibo scarso per qualità e quantità, facendolo pagare caro (quasi 5 euro per due foglie di insalata). Da evitare assolutamente!
