If you’re looking for amazing desserts, this is the place to be. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and crafted with precision, from the first bite to the last. The coffee drinks are the perfect match, making it a sweet experience you’ll love. The dine-in service is remarkable...👌, and the taste is absolutely divine 🤭.

Went here with some friends, gorgeous place from first impressions! Very cute and aesthetic, we booked a booth but there was a couple of things that we noticed. Just general cleanliness wasn't up to standard in my opinion and there was a few things we could see like dirt and dust on the seats and tables. Maybe there wasn't enough staff but we asked for water and it didn't come for a while. We were waiting quite a bit and had to ask for an extra pair of utensils as we weren't given enough. The food for the price was average in my opinion. They have an interesting menu arrangement. I had a chicken burger which was average. My friend was very happy with her meal.
Overall the experience was nice but there was a few things that didn't quite meet my expectations.

Consider reserving a booth for an inviting atmosphere and top-notch service. We tried the divine rösti, mochaccino, green tea, pasta, lemon curd muffin, and mango smoothie. Note that the lemon curd muffin isn’t overly sweet, so if you prefer sweeter options like I do, you might want to explore other desserts.

We had Divine Patisserie host a high tea service to celebrate our daughter’s birthday a few weeks ago. We loved the ambiance and the quality of the food, beverages, and house-made birthday cake was second to none. The team also coped very well with some of our guests arriving over an hour late due to traffic delays.

The owners were great to work with when we were planning the event, and the serving staff made our guests feel very welcome. We highly recommend Divine Patisserie for anyone who would like to hold an event or celebration in a beautiful floral-themed setting with excellent food and great service.

The food is always good and service is usually ok but what gives me the icks is that open kitchen with the birds flying in and out. As I was waiting for my food I could see them getting on the bench where the food was being prepped. That kitchen shouldn’t be open like that it’s just gross. The owl statues are obviously not working.

Fresh ingredients and nice atmosphere. It didn’t just nourish my body but also my soul. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to have a yummy and healthy meal.
Every time I go the staff always make me feel welcomed and want to be there. Also they have a wide range of amazing looking food like there Whittaker's chocolate cake wich taste delicious. The place looks beautiful. Last but not lest they sell the best coffee in ormistion.

This cafe is a true classic! My fiancée and I went there for brunch and ordered an Egg Benedict, a Smashed Avo, and two coffees. Everything was delicious, and the staff was very kind.

Despite the rainy and windy morning and the crowd, we managed to find a cozy table and enjoyed our meal thoroughly. Highly recommended!

This place is a lovely spot, but apart from that it dosent have a heap going for it.

No service at the table, okay fair enough the place did seem short staffed somewhat. Food was very average - the 3 bean cheese dish could be amazing but it was a stodgey bowl of flavourless overcooked eggs. I opted for scrambled egg with salmon on toast to eer on the side of caution and that was pleasant enough.

Wouldn’t be so bothered as the food was okay, but the prices absolutely didn’t reflect the quality. $78 for two brunch dishes and x2 coffees, couldn’t believe it!

If the food and service was improved I could see this place being a great little spot

Beautiful place n atmosphere, really looks amazing for the photos. Unfortunately the desserts weren’t the best which in my opinion can be heavily improved. I would’ve given a higher rating but health n safety is not something they seem to prioritise here. My family n I wanted to sit in one of the booths, but as you can see in the photo there was a broken glass and shards of glass around the table. Assuming the workers didn’t see it, I went to mention it to the man who took my order, instead one of the girls working cut me off n said “yeah we know, but we’re really busy and can’t clean it”
Im quite disappointed with this. Health n safety should be a huge priority to a place that serves to children as well. We were there for about 30 minutes and despite them knowing, that mess WAS NOT cleaned up. This is NOT OKAY!!!
Not to mention that every table had dirty dishes just sitting there! It was honestly disgusting. Hopefully you guys can improve this and manage the place better!

We had a lovely brunch here today 😋. So pretty 😍 pink floral esthetic so pleasing to the eyes, instagramable too lol 💗💕💓. Great customer service from the lovely young man who served us today 10.05.2024. We had coffee, high tea, the salmon and chips everything was delicious, tasty, yummy. Great balance between sweet and savory options. Perfect early treat for mothers day. Thank you very much.

We had breakfast there and it was so good! It was nice having a place where my husband could have a vegan breakfast without having to make his own. We come from the far north which doesn't have many food places that accommodate vegan/vegetarian so it was so good eating somewhere that does! Food was really nice, definitely would go back again!

I was looking for a place to have a lunch and found this nice place. I had a vegetarian lasagnai and I can say it was really tasty food and also really nice staff
We had a beautiful time here today at this hidden gem!
The theme of the place is why I wanted to visit, and coming in and seeing the attention to detail and the ambiance in general made it a great experience for us.
We had only come for lunch, but had such a good time (and didn’t feel rushed to leave like other places) that we also ended up staying for dessert and tea after. Especially after seeing how beautiful the desserts looked.
Big kudos to the team for making the place calm, inviting but feel lively at the same time and to the chefs for the great food and desserts.
Before leaving we already discussed when we would make our next visit 😍
Always super friendly service and tasty food. Great coffee too.

Mimosa is the best place in Auckland to dine when one of you is vegan and the other is coeliac. We had the smashed avo and loved it!! The broccoli was perfect. The tofu was so silky smooth. The sauce was just enough quantity and flavour. So, so good.

It is simply in the public’s interest to know that a takeaway iced drink is $6.80 and $1 for alternative milk. This wouldn’t be a problem if the drink was at least average sized. It was no more than 50mls, and 70% ice. Cafe also informed me that there is only one sized takeaway cup for iced drinks… so 👎. Please note the wood panelling for size. Drink was tiny

Edit: Owner responded to this Google Review by lying and a ChatGpt reply. Very embarrassing.
Yes she asked me how the food was when she walked by my table. I said fine. Because the food was ok/fine. Nothing special. But also I highly doubt it was genuinely organic. There was no mention of food in my review, because that was simply not the point. I checked my bank statement after and realized how much I was charged for that tiny TINY cup and said hold on, this is not ok. $7.80 for 30-50mls?? I also reached out to them privately on fb first, hours before making a Google Review.
And out of kindness, I initially didn’t mention in this review that they overcharged me for the wrong milk. So to the people reading this- the takeaway iced cups is tiny, and to check you haven’t been overcharged at the counter. And don’t be fooled by them claiming to be “organic”. ;)

Cozy local cafe run by lovely and hard working owner! She knows how to take care of her guest with a genuine heart. The cabinet food made from early morning is so fresh& delicious, easy to grab'n'go for a quick lunch. Her effort putting on coffee & eye on detail is exceptional! Absolute happy place in northcote 💯

I was looking for a breakfast cafe that could suit my daughters dietary needs and came across this gem.
The eggs were delicious with the sourdough bread, and the buckwheat gluten-free bread was a great alternative. The iced chocolate and mocha were fantastic, but the highlight was the hash stix with the vegan aoli sauce. They were scrumptious.
The service was quick and so friendly. If you're in Auckland, I would highly recommend this even without dietary needs.
Great food, customer service, and coffee!! The barristers were so lovely and welcoming 😊

A friend suggested we have lunch here having been here a few times herself (this was my first time). We ordered the buttermilk chicken burger, the blueberry french toast and a flat white. I enjoyed the meal, the french toast was not too sweet like I find at most places. Nice layers of flavours, well balanced for the taste pallette and the coffee was well made. Swapped the slaw and normal fries that came with the chicken burger meal for sweet potato fries instead... the chicken was a generous size (see photo). The place was busy, clearly a popular spot as most tables were taken. They also do table service and our food came out fairly quickly. No complaints can be made...will definitely be coming back and would recommend to others!

Kawana always has a lovely assortment of sweet and savoury options to choose from in the cabinet. Everything I've tried has been delicious. 👌

Work is close by so Kawana is my go-to cafe for affordable tasty food and great coffee. ☕

Lovely friendly service 😊 nice atmosphere with well cared for plants is a bonus. 🪴

We took our daughter out for breakfast on her birthday.
The staff were friendly but they got our order wrong several times.
Firstly we ordered a large and medium coffee but the medium they gave us was a kids fluffy cup. When I questioned the size they said that's definitely a medium. It wasn't until my daughter's fluffy was served that we realized it was the same size and then the staff realized they made a mistake and swapped it for an actual medium cup.
Second mistake was my daughter ordered the kids pancakes which was supposed to come with bacon on it (clearly said it on the menu) but the chef said no it doesn't come with bacon. My poor daughter had to wait even longer for her birthday breakfast because the chef didn't know his own menu 🤦🏽‍♂️
I had ordered a big breakfast meal. The mushrooms, eggs and bacon were delicious however half of the plate was covered in salad leaves and spinach. I was almsot going to order a second hash brown for $7 but im glad i didn't because it wasn't a proper hashbrown, it's just a ball of mashed potatoe. Not my cup of tea!

I have been here a number of times and enjoyed it every time. The service is always attentive. I am yet to have a disappointing coffee, it’s strong and hot which is exactly to my tasting. Their buttermilk chicken is alway crispy and not oily like at other places I’ve had a similar dish. The chips are fried in fresh oil, they are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. My go to dish when I go here is the crispy squid salad. The squid has a light seasoning coating it. It’s not chewy but nice and tender. Would definitely go back!!

I think their quality of customer service and coffee dropped a bit since staff changed. I used go there all the time as their coffee was really nice as well as their customer service. now the coffee is really bitter every time and the staff is not that friendly. Really gutted as Journal was one of my favorite cafes.

This is such a beautiful place to visit . It have a lovely warm atmosphere, and great vibes
We tried the coffee it was delicious and tasty 😋. I tried the almond tart it was delicious and yummy 🤤, the sugar was balanced and not too sweet. My husband tried the chocolate fudge he said it was tasty 😋.
The owner was very nice and welcoming, she is very kind and she asked her customers about the food and coffee if it is good and if they have any comments.
Also they have a very nice play area for kids
Highly recommend this amazing place

Late review - I visited the Jam Organic Cafe in mid June. The food, the service and the atmosphere, everything was great! I tried the Leek soup and Ciabatta toast, it was lovely. Also, had a chat with the lady, seemed like the manager of the cafe, about a few things around that time (if you remember me, I asked you about a certain office on level 4 of the building next to your cafe and you said that there was nothing on level 4, it was vacant, haha funny!!! 😄).
Great coffee. Enjoyed bacon and eggs and my wife had the mushroom and spinach omelette, which was also great.
Good selection of cabinet food as well.

Over the road from the Tennis Club and bush walks so was able to take the dog for a walk as well.

Will be back 😍

I am so disappointed with my visit at Journal cafe. Today I had brunch with my friend to catch up and was expecting a nice delicious meal but was handed a very effortless made plate of food.

I was shocked because last year when I came here to eat the food was absolutely stunning and tasted amazing but the french toast was tastless and the journal breakfast was not even that good.

For the price that we paid I am dissatisfied and won't be coming back. The first picture is how journals food used to look like and the second pjoto is ehat the good looks like now.

the second photo the french toast was basically slapped onto the plate and looks very bland and did not taste good at all

Great cafe for brunch but is very popular it does get super busy. So expect to wait on a weekend. Were lucky to have a beautiful day on Saturday and sat outside watching a dog show in the adjacent gardens. Great bustling atmosphere, lovely fresh cooked food. Good vegan and vegetarian options.

What a place!! ❤️
Great taste, great staff and worth for price.

Indoor and outdoor sitting makes the ambiance beautiful.
Ampules of parking with very easy access from all the sides of the cafe.
Have ordered eggs on toast and chicken burger 🍔 and was yum 😋.
Especially, the chicken burger was really great; I can say it was made with love and obviously with skills.

Just a request to the cafe if they can have five grain bread as an option to ciabatta.

There barista is also skilful as the coffee ☕️ was great too.

Definitely recommended to everyone.

There restrooms are clean too.

I have been to this cafe for the third time, the service was excellent, and the food was so delicious—the presentation of the food is so elegant, generous and luxurious. The staff are friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it if you want to have a good breakfast. Well done, and keep up the good work!

Our favourite spot in Takapuna 🥰
We're still working our way through the menu and have loved everything. My favourite is probably the avocado toast, and my partner loves the cream stew (no photo). Also, had the vegan breakfast and wanted to split it with my mum because we weren't super hungry, and instead of just adding side plates they divided everything up and gave us each our own mini breakfast, beautifully presented ❤️
Also, best coffees. I'm obsessed with the maple latte (with oat milk).
Photos:
Mimosa bowl, avocado toast, omurice, vegan breakfast (halved), coffee and cabinet slices (highly recommend the snickers!), and mushroom crepe.
Came upon this cafe by accident and we were so glad we ended up having brunch here. The food is amazing, not too pricey and the service is excellent. Irene didn't forget us sitting outside even during the busy lunch time and served us as soon as possible. Regularly checked upon if the food was OK and if we need salt pepper or anything else. Couldn't recommend this place more and will definitely come back next time ♡

Update Nov 2023: even better options than before. Recently had the smashed avo and tofu, and vegan tofu Benedict, both were delicious. Finished off with a tasty vegan blueberry muffin. Great place to eat or just for coffee.

Excellent food. Friendly staff. Great vegan options. Lovely coffee. Tasty treats. Highly recommended.

A very cozy vegetarian restaurant. The service was friendly, the coffee was great, and I tried almost everything on their menu and I was very satisfied. Of course, what I like most is the dan dan noodles, which warms the stomach of Asians.
Excellent coffee and super friendly staff. Nice ambience and decor. Our new found out for the weekend breakfast
Good mix of retail, commercial and hospitality venues all with the convenience of easy parking. I highly rate the local real estate office Ray White as well as the CJ’s seafood. Blacksmiths is also a top notch spot for a drink and a pizza, while the coffee club serve up decent brews and ‘third place’ hospitality.
New owners (formerly Estrella's). Nice menu, nice people, great coffee. Open on Saturday mornings! A great addition to the local cafe scene.

Updated: still great! I really like the lady that owns this place, she is friendly and genuinely loves coffee. Try the single origin; it's worth the small surcharge.

Today I had a grilled haloumi sandwich and it was on point. I'm coming back for another one!
An expanding shopping hub in the growing Takanini area. There is a variety of shops and eateries in the Centre plus now our own little library! Absolutely love the expanding and diversifying of the area. While there are still some shops unoccupied at the moment, it is a great little spot with everything you could need.

Parking is always a challenge on weekends. Even if you look at the parking slots, it seems bit smaller. Though it has some good joints for food and shopping.
Nice little village if you prefer the quietness. Parking can get a bit crowded. Other than that, it's within walking distance of Bruce Pullman and the mains (Great South Road)

Would love to get in contact with the complex owner in regard to my car getting hit in this car park & the person fleeing. The number provided by the warehouse staff and on here just leads me to Vodafone. I was told you have clear CCTV, not keen on parking here in the future if not 😬

A nice little place to shop I mostly go here for The Warehouse but there are also some yum bites to grab such as Sushi & Don & LJs. Also having the Blacksmiths there to swing by and have a little midday drink is very handy!

The carpark can get a little hectic too from time to time so its good to think fast because some people are a bit inpatient.
There was not a lot of customer service there no CSR to been seen but I know the store inside out and knew what I wanted and we're to find it so it was a quick easy in and out no fuss no drama and the store was particularly clean and tidy 👍. The checkout girl was friendly and meet and greet was friendly.
Nice place for Shopping in Takanini.
It has medical centre
Clinic
Path lab
Eating places
Cafe
And much more

Nice little shopping centre within walking distance from Takanin Newly build suburbs
