This is my go to comfort Chinese take away in the city. Food here is more on the lines of authentic Szechuan rather than Pakistani Chinese. Spice levels are on point if you like a bit of zing in your palette. Top choices are spicy beef and mapotofu.
The food at Sichuan Cuisine was absolutely fantastic! 🌶️🍜 The spiciness was a bit on the higher side for my liking, but it didn't overshadow the amazing flavors. We tried a variety of dishes like the Beef Noodle Soup, Beef Dumplings, Beef with Chili Oil, Kungpao Chicken, Vegetable Fried Rice, and Sichuan Prawns. Every single dish was incredibly delicious, but the standout was definitely the flavorful and satisfying Beef Noodle Soup. It was simply outstanding! I highly recommend Sichuan Cuisine to all the food lovers out there who enjoy authentic Chinese cuisine with a fiery twist! 🥢😄
The service was good and timely. The food was still steaming hot when it got delivered. And the single quantity is pretty sufficient. Would've like the rice to be slightly more cooked and the chicken to have a little more umami touch to it. But overall, pretty reasonable taste and quality of food
One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Karachi maybe the oldest. The quality of food and service provided is still top notch. The ambiance is nostalgic for anyone who has lived his teen and young adult life as a chinese cuisine lover in Karachi.
Outstanding experience!! We went after years and was fearing that the standard may be compromised. But China Town out done our expectations. Loved everything we ate, from CT special soup to chicken prawn fried rice, fried prawn balls, chicken chilly dry, chicken in garlic sauce, chicken prawn chow mein. Service need to be bit better.
We placed an order at 07 40 pm and after calling multiple times, at 10 pm they tell us that the order has been delivered. God knows who they delivered it to or who placed an order exactly like ours, but if you're ordering after a long day, then don't, don't, don't, Simply don't order from this place. You won't be getting the food. There's mismanagement probably and shortage of staff, whatsoever, but one doesn't have to accept an order if they can't manage. Its one thing to be late and it's just another unacceptable thing to lie about the order.

I ordered chowmein and it was totally cheap quality the smell that come from food we didn't had a bite and we just leave, please make sure if you charge people do serve properly.

Service was bad. Order took a long time. Initially order taking and table setup took a lot of time. AC was not working. Food was good except Classic Beef Chilly Dry. It contained bones and when it was remade the second one also had bone. The meat was scarce as mostly fat was on the meat.
It was my first visit which did not went very well in terms of service and the attitude of the owner or the manager whoever it was. The food was served after an hour or more. But the food was good. It is over a 35 years old restaurant with aged waitors and so is their service and attitude but again its an old school type restaurant so its ok.

Ordered delivery of American chopsuey. It was delivered piping hot and with amazing taste. However the quantity of family size was quite less (1-2 person) and they forgot to put egg in their as well.
Personally, I love this places environment. It's so peaceful and beautiful. The food is also excellent quality and flavor is also nice. It has a very great significance being the oldest Chinese restaurant in Karachi.
It's the best place to indulge yourself in Chinese cuisine. Be it schzewan soup, dynamite prawns, mix chowmein ,fried rice,schzewan chicken or prawn, all of the dishes are worth trying.. do pay a visit.. it's one of best Chinese in karachi. It's my go to place whenever I crave for Chinese. There are multiple branches including SMCHS but my review is for shahbaz commercial one

Went there with a family of 3. There was no one to open/hold the (heavy) door, had an infant and elderly with me. Acceptable and not a big issue.

I heard a lot of bad reviews from my friends about Ginsoy in general. However, I can clearly say its worth the price. The food was amazing, we ordered the schezuan fish and honey fish fingers. It was fabulous. Further the soup Tom yang Gong was delicious, the flavour was on point. However, I could say it could be more spicy but thats just me. Overall, a lovely evening with amazing food, and your friends can be wrong sometimes
Went to Tai Pan for a birthday dinner. The food was great in terms of taste.

Their food are good, but I was not happy with the fish crackers being served cold with the corn soup. After telling the waiter he told me that we keep it for at least 5 minutes otherwise it comes out oily which for me has never been the case because I have been going here since a long time.

I would like to leave zero stars if I could. The food is mediocre for the price and to make it even worse it is not even close to authentic. You should not call yourself a Chinese restaurent. The vibe, music, and food feels ridiculously whitewashed. It's took one hour to get food. Drum stick was dry and undercooked. When we complained about food they said it is supposed to be like that. I would say it again food quality was poor and over priced. They should orignal ingredients to get their customer attention. I have seen a lady supervisor roaming around

If you love Chinese food, then this is the place you would really like. It was my first experience at Ginsoy and I really loved their food specially Kung Pao Chicken which I would like to try again and again. Moreover, the ambiance is good and the food is really good and economical. You would get satisfied with the food you eat and the the amount you pay.

Also, the quality was deeply compromised: all I could taste in fried prawn balls was flour paste and chickpeas. Sizzling chicken was not tasty at all and Rs 1000 rice was hardly sufficient for the appetite of one person.
Lastly, there was an error in the bill (over charging). Couldn't expect this from an old restaurant having a customer reputation.

Old school Chinese food... still tastes and smells like when I was a kid. The restaurant, its cooks and staff have stayed the same in 40 years (or more). We ordered wonton soup - amazing! Followed by beef with veg, egg fried rice, and American chosuey. Everything was delicious and didn't need any additional sauces, etc. It's not a fancy place but the food is good. For three adults, our bill was a little over PKR 4000.
One of the oldest among many Chinese restaurants in the area with above average food, service, and hygiene. The location is great, off the famous Tariq Road yet away from all the hussle and bustle so you can enjoy your food in a very quiet environment with updated modern ambiance, good choice of vast menu and get the value for your money. It may not be a high class eatery but you won't be disappointed with the quality or the quantity of the food. They'll always serve you fresh food in good portion to feed your hungry tummy. The servers will surely take good care of all your special requests. What I like about them is that they always greet you upon arrival and thank when you leave. They also run lunch specials so make sure to take advantage of that as well.

I tried this one for the first time with my family for dinner. I found the restaurant congested with limited space and full of tables. It feels inconvenient to have a meal when other diners and the staff are walking around.
The food is ok but service is not excellent at all. You need to call the waiter every time for little things. Food is expensive but not extraordinary as compared to the prices.

Been there today after such a long time. It was my hundredth visit there but I have never been this disappointed with them before.
The food quality was not what it used to be. Their quality of food has reduced drastically. Also, they had put too much salt in the gravy it was very difficult for us to eat it.

Recently visited Ginsoy Gulshan-e-Iqbal branch with a group of 11 people and had a great experience. The restaurant had a comfortable ambiance, and the service was exceptional.

Had very bad experience in PC thi pan buffet .food was tasteless .service was very bad very unprofessional even don't have manner to talk .I was with my family even they don't have baby chair in 5 star hotel .was very funny .

It was nice environment to have lunch with colleagues. Everything was amazing in taste and he we had wonderful experience. Only shocking part was price of 'Mint Lemonade', Rs 510 for that drink is quite pricey for me. Overall, we had had amazing experience
The best chowmein in town with original chinese sauces. I order their beef soup twice a month. Im addicted to it. Great service with delivery, as well as bank transfers are also acceptable.
I was at a friends house last night when they ordered Sichuan cuisine and I enjoyed it so much I had to eat it again tonight. They delivered to me all the way in KDA, even though they generally don’t deliver to this side of town. The food was excellent. We tired the noodles which were fantastic. The garlic rice (which could have been more garlicky) but was still very good. The crispy fried prawns Sichuan style were my favourite, arrived perfectly and not soggy. We ordered 2 beef dishes a both were excellent. And a crispy fried chicken with chilli peppers which was very tasty even though I don’t like bones, (the restaurant was nice enough to call me in advance to warm me that the chicken had bones in it). Over all I would rate the service 10/10 and I would rate the food 10/10 and I could 100% recommend their food and order from them again.

Pretty sad looking place. Neglected is the word to describe the atmosphere and ambiance. Least bothered waiters and staff. No wifi no music no light. Won't be surprised if they shut this branch down because it was totally empty during our entire meal

I am really sorry to say but the food quality was really disappointing, ( soup with un cooked prawns& smell)( beef chilli dry with smashed meet )( sizzling chicken with no hot plate and served in a bowl ) I was big fan of their food before but overall the taste & quality of food material and the last visit made my day pathetic..

A road side stall for organic chinese eatry. The owner is a nice guy who has great taste in his hands. Tried his chicken chow mein and fried rice both were excellent and the quantity was enough for one person. Prices are cheap and economical, located in main maskan chowrangi with enough parking. Sitting is open air.
Had a sudden plan of lunch with wife today post shopping so opted for the oldest and somewhat famous Yuan Tang today. Its located on a street just behind Aerosoft store in a bungalow. The outside is old style with roadside parking.
Indoor dining is somewhat candid with classical dim lighting (suggestive of oriental cuisine) with paintings and mirrors all around.
Coming to the food and the reason im rating it 3 stars is that they dont have any deal for 1 or 2 persons and all dishes are served full (no single bowl of soup and no single chicken curry served with rice). All are separately ordered
I opted for Chicken Chilli with vegetables and Chicken fried rice alongwith drinks and both were costly (serving size is ok)

One of my favorites Chinese restaurant in Karachi. They are famous for the unique taste and quality. Staff is professional. Ambience was good. This time tried their umbrella chicken.
Pathetic Food quality I ordered Chicken Fried rice, Chicken Corn Soup, Fish n Chips, Chicken Schwan and Prawn chilli dry. Everything was served cold except soup but it was sweet crackers served with it were full of oil pic attached. There was just a thin layer of fish even crumbs were more thick pic attached. I ordered Chicken Schwan light spicy but service too much spicy. Cutting whole story short damage was 5500 of that quality of food is unacceptable so didn't recommend anyone to go there and drain their hard earned money... Even all people sitting on other tables have almost same issue particularly about the cold food.

Wife said i wouldn't eat ghar ka khana today as you have got your new appointment so opted for Imperial Court Chinese today. Had heard they are one of the oldest in Karachi when it comes to Chinese so was a bit anxious too regarding taste and no doubt it didn't disappoint.
One of the most classy thing was the ambient oriental atmosphere that they have made (reminiscent of early 90s) plus the calm and quiet one needs while eating

Coming to the food it was good (a mix of desi and extreme Chinese)
We ordered Chicken Hot n Sour Soup (red) and their deal 3 (consisting of egg fried rice, Chicken Manchurian and 1 pc Fried Chicken Drumstick) alongwith pepsi. Soup is served with complimentary fish crackers (common to all Chinese restaurants these days)
Overall a must try for Karachiites. 👍

First of all the ambience was really good and vintage looking. It was really busy which really affects in service as there was a lot of waiting first for the table then for the order. Now comes the food which was really Good and authentic Chinese, we loved the food but I think it was a bit pricey as well. Overall it was a good experience.

Went to Ginsoy after quite some time and it wasn't exactly a fine dining experience. You have to keep asking for things like forks while drinks were served in disposable glasses.
The food was very average while the biggest surprise were the Dynamite Prawns which were nothing more than couple of greasy fried prawns. We were never asked about the food experience.
Quite disappointing experience and the restaurant should be focusing more on maintaining standards instead of branching out.

Wow what going back in the time and memories 📝. I was a little skeptical going back after very long time, but first look at the entrance and just right after walk into the restaurant. 😯 wow
I went after an years, customer service, menu and test all was great as expected. So ordered Kung-Pao Chicken with plan rice 🍚. And steamed-Fry dumpling 🥟. Both dishes were great in tests and value for money. Also was more enough for 2 people.
So we went again for-second time and ordered chicken chilly “ well! Was a little 🥵hot“ i hope chicken staff or chef give some option to customized the test accordingly.
Again i would definitely go back again in next trip.

I am a regular customer here. The taste is consistently good.
Dry Prawns with chillies are lip-smacking.
Sweet and sour prawns and chicken both are highly recommended.

Chowman and noodles were just ok in taste, quality and quantity. There was nothing really extra ordinary.

Good food for family dinner. Spicy food for spice lovers. Good packing for take out, very happy staff. Neat and clean environment. Music is awesome. Lighting is very good. Nice location. The best thing is quality and colour of crockery.
As of 19Feb22. Best in class serving size. Taste if also good and fresh. Except prawns were smelly and one should ask if these prawns are de-vein as back vein contain excretes and asking these questions goes without saying in all restaurants.
Tasteless point to eat Chinese. Nothing tastes like Chinese dish. Everything is full of red chilli , no other taste other than chilli.

It has improved alot. The manager was very attentive and kept asking each table if everything was okay. Has made a lot of omprovement in service and food quality
I recently visited Ginsoy Shehbaz Commercial and was impressed by the quality of food and service. The restaurant has a great ambiance and the staff is very friendly. I ordered their hot and sour soup, dynamite chicken, and chowmein which were all delicious. The cherry chili chicken was also a standout dish. The restaurant is a bit small but it’s perfect for family gatherings or dinner with friends. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for great Chinese food in Karachi.

We went to celebrate a birthday. And it was awesome. We ordered Chicken corn soup, chicken chow mien,chicken drumstick,beef chilli dry and egg fried rice. All of the food was excellent in taste and in quantity as well. Very cozy as well. Keep it up.
We had no gas at home so we decided to go try this place. Had seen a good review on a group. It was a low-key place with open air seating. The staff is so well-trained and polite. The menu is fantastic, good prices and value for money serving size. All their ingredients are imported from China, except the meat and vegetables which are bought locally. The hot n sour soup is perfect, so authentic, not the ketchup soups they serve at most Chinese restaurants in Karachi. We had a boneless chicken dish with mushrooms and vegetables along with fried rice with garlic. Everything was great. For two persons our bill was under PKR 2000 and we had enough leftovers for one person.
Nothing much to offer in the ambiance. Thr restaurant was clean and tidy and staff was considerate. The dried chili fish was not as good as expected. However, the manchurian prawn was very good. The menu didn't have anything exclusive to offer with very limited options. The quantity of all dishes waa over the top but the thing i didnt like at all was the prices. They're overpriced for what they have to offer. Paying around a Rs. 1000 for fried rice is wayy too much. Prices on the menu are exclusive of taxes so you take an additional 13% hit and they don't have to offer any bank or promotional discounts. I think the menu and prices need a revision.

Though I am a spicy food lover but it was actually too spicy for me, enjoyed the food as the serving size was good enough for one person at the price point of PKR 700+. Taste profile was also good and fish was really well cooked and the fried rice also has good amount of vegetables chunks.

The first time I had it, it was too good. The second time I ordered after a couple of days, they forgot to add salt to it.
I had a lunch today here on date 15th March 2019, and it was yummy really. They give Chinese dishes with Chinese name. The hygeine was obviously the five 🌟 the taste is five 🌟 the service is five 🌟. I like everything there. The sweet dish and sweets cakes, I could not taste all of them but what ever is tasted is delicious really. Thanks PC to have that taste, and the host to invite us in this restuarant.
Ambience is good and the place is spacious and unlike the typical Chinese restaurants well lit. Even the washroom is spacious, tidy and well lit but like many restaurants in Karachi lacked the diaper changing board.
