It's actually smaller than I imagined but really well planned with lots of historic photos and descriptions on the inside. Going up was not stressful, and the view at the top was amazing.
It has two floors and everything is shown in detail from the polish history to the old polish school books, and many more artistic paintings. If you go there on Tuesday, it is free.
The Princes Czartoryski Museum is a cultural treasure in Krakow. Its impressive collection, including the iconic "Lady with an Ermine," showcases Poland's artistic heritage. The museum's ambiance and informative exhibits create a rewarding and enriching experience. A must-visit for art enthusiasts and history lovers alike.
The National Polish Museum is located in ugly soviet style building that makes you think about dark years of polish history. But I really liked the collection. Frankly speaking I knew nothing about Polish modern and contemporary art before. I think that this museum has a really nice collection of Polish impressionism and expressionism. It is really worth visiting
Highly recommended to go on a Tuesday when it’s free entrance. You have to put your bag and coat in a free locker.

The museum has several areas ancient history, armoury section, art from many different eras including a da Vinci painting, Lady with an Ermine.

Takes about 1 to 2 hours to go around the whole museum depending how quick and detailed your visit will be.

It was a bit confusing to find the entrance as it’s not clearly signed. The entrance is just before the bridge which connects the buildings.
This humble museum is the home of the famous Leonardo Da Vinci's famous painting Ladies with the Ermine as well as the famous Rembrandt painting.

The museum also houses lots of other art works and artifacts although some of the presentations are a bit hard to see (small, dark and placed almost near the floor).

The positive thing is that they provide portable chairs to you free of charge so you can sit down and admire the art work even if there is no chair available.

Price is steep and no family discount if you are a foreigner. Lockers are free but audio guide is extra.

Spokojne miejsce
This is one of the most famous monuments in Poland I dream to visit also take pictures with it.

And finally one of my Overseas traveling missions accomplished.

More historical stories are hidden inside these Monuments I kindly convince you to study in Uprising memory when you come here.
The museum itself is located in a beautiful building and impresses by its size and inrerior, although, this is one of the oldest Polish museums.
The museum is located in the centre of the city which makes it very convenient to visit while you discover other places.
I had not enough time to explore the museum; it takes around 3 hours to look at all the exhibitions.
The collection of the museum is impressive.
The highlight for me was Leonardo Da Vinci's painting "Lady with an Ermine"! It is an amazing feeling - to be that close to the masterpiece.
If you plan to visit Krakow, I really recommend you to find some time and visit this museum.
Nice place to learn about war information. Near to touristic attractions old town
I bought my ticket online on the day.

Over a few generations a family collected artifacts from Polish history. In this exhibition they are open to you with the family slogan "The past for the future".
I just wish more was written on the tablets and explained in the electronic guide to make these objects into a story.
Great to see many student painters copying masterpieces under their mentor's supervision. Not so great when people don't know how to behave around two famous works and stay too close for a long period of time not thinking about others. But then you do need to see the details to appreciate the work.

Awesome monument!
what a beautiful beautiful museum! it’s your chance to see da vinci’s work without the line and crowd, there are many rooms as well with different themes and it’s a very enriching experience. the shop is also adorable and there are many cute souvenirs

Fantastic place if you like queuing. A snake of a queue lasting at least 45 minutes to buy confusing multiple tickets. Then queuing again for the compulsory cloakroom for another half an hour.
The main exhibitions were mostly modernism from XX and XX1 century. Found an interesting description of which styles of modernism started where. Seems it mostly came from Russia.
The older exhibits were an odd hodge podge of artefacts with seemingly no link or story to their display ie chess pieces next to glassware and dresses and chalices.
Descriptions available in Polish and English.
You can buy tickets online from the website which we discovered when half way through the queue.
The Warsaw Uprising Monument stands as a powerful tribute to the bravery and resilience of the Polish resistance during World War II. This imposing sculpture captures the spirit of the Warsaw Uprising with incredible detail and emotion. It is not just a monument but a storytelling piece, depicting scenes of struggle and courage. Located in the heart of Warsaw, it serves as a poignant reminder of the city's history and the sacrifices made for freedom. The surrounding area adds to the solemn atmosphere, allowing visitors to reflect on the events of 1944. This monument is a must-see for anyone interested in history, offering a profound and moving experience that honors the memory of those who fought against oppression.

A museum that enriches knowledge of Polish paintings, sculpture and art. I particularly liked the early c20 art with contemporary photos and descriptions/explanations. A long wait at the cafe so reluctantly did not eat there but the food looked great
A small museum with plenty to see. I was so surprised they even have an art work by Da Vinci. The museum does not give you a typical museum's overwhelming feeling due to its small size.

Friendly staff and well presented arts works.

Highly recommended

The 2 main parts are the one about modern art and the one about furniture.
I found the furniture's one a bit boring and dark.
The other floor is, on the contrary, beautiful, full of paintings, and sculptures both modern and contemporary
There was a short line that we had to stand in before we bought our tickets. The normal ticket only allows you into two exhibits on the top floor and 2nd floor, but the tickets are only about $7-$10 USD and are well worth it. The exhibits are separated into multiple sections; one for paintings, one for sculpture, and others for ceramics, furniture, clothing, religious artifacts, glassware, musical instruments, etc. You are allowed to take photos, but no flash photography. Big coat/jackets and any bags are required to be checked into a locker in the coat room downstairs. Free lockers are available to lock your things away.

Also, if you're coming here to see the Da Vinci painting 'Lady with an Ermine' like I did, double-check that it's even here in the first place. It apparently wasn't here when I came and is located at the Princes Czartoryski Museum a few blocks away. I think it travels back and forth occasionally between this Museum, the Czartoryski Museum, and I think a third museum, too.
Museum is a bit dark. Sometimes informational context is lacking.
Still a good museum where you can spend easily 2 hours or more on average.

A wonderful museum in Krakow that contains both modern and historical artwork from Polish artists. Check the museum's website to find free admission day. There is a underground parking that is paid by the hour. Conserving energy can be seen in the garage. The light have sensors to turn on or off when it detects movements. After all the walking, there is a nice cafe for yummy pastries or savory treats.
The national museum of krakow.. it holds several exhibitions… the most beautiful is the decoration one on the first floor.
Tuesday has free entry to just two exhibitions.

Historyczne miejsce
Close to the centre, right across Kraniski palace.
Great place to see where the locals pay their tributes to all soldiers from the past.
Let’s not forget the immaculate sculptures.
Amazing Monument regarding the Battle of Grunwald and the defeat of the Teutonic Order by the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1410

A very creative idea to turn a bench into a music box. It is fantastic to encounter such a nice one while strolling in the heart of Warsaw
Visited the place on the anniversary of Warsaw Uprising. A magnificent monument celebrating Polish heroes: soldiers and regular people who outnumbered with no weapons still fought for their freedom and country.

It is a very attractive and interesting place to visit.
Nice park with lakes, with lots of trees. A good place to wind down after a busy day. Many come to do fishing here too.
Not sure if it was because of the rain and bad weather in general, but felt quite dramatic
Powerful, make sure you visit the small museum on the corner. Look for the human images in the windows to spot location. Sadly the Chopin Bench music here does not play.
Take a moment to sit and think if you would fight for Liberty.

This monument was unveiled in 1910 just in time for the 500th anniversary of Polish victory over the Germans at Tannenberg in 1410. The Nazis didn't like that very much so when they occupied Cracow in 1939 they promptly blew it up. Current monument is actually a copy of the original. Nice piece if you are Polish, and if you had paid attention in history class. As is often the case in monumental art, all of the figures have meaning, so it helps to understand the Polish-German historical relations. If you're a foreign tourist you'll walk by and not even bat an eyelash because Krakow is inundated with monuments, this one will be just another one out of the bunch
It’s one of the places in Warsaw where you can see the history of Poland, while walking through Warsaw. I would like to recommend it who are interested on Poland history and the history of uprising. This monument is relating to the history of World War II and this will reminds to people about thier bravery history.

The only thing that I noticed that there are no signs or information written in English anywhere on site to read for the foreigners.

Otherwise very interesting place to go and see.

They stood at Krasiński Square in 2008.
There are five of them, colorful and winged.
They are standing in front of a branch of the National Library. The 500-kilogram tin steeds measure over 3.5 meters and, thanks to special lighting, are also visible at night. Pegasus have already become an informal symbol of the National Library, refreshing the image of one of the most important cultural institutions in Poland.

I think, it's one of the most famous Polish lighthouses because of it location - the northernmost point of Poland. Great view, nice atmosphere and historical experience. On the first and second floor, You will find exhibition about history of lighthouse and other Polish's coast lighthouses. Entry tickets - 12 zloty adult and kids 8 zloty(it is called "ulgowy" in Polish). One thing to note remember is that, kids must be above 120cm/3.11 foot tall to enter.
Interessanter Ort. Vieles auch zur Geschichte. Würde mir die Erklärungen gerne mehrsprachig wünschen
A nice looking old light house. From outside it didn't look like you could view from the very top but you can, and the views are good above the treeline. During busy seasons it might take a while to queue and get around inside but that's understandable because of the limited space. Giving it 3* and not higher because there was no English translations at all (especially would have liked in the museum) and the museum sections looked dated, uninspiring and non-interactive.

A monument dedicated to the battle of Grunwald, commemorating the Polish victory over the Tutonic knights . The size and grandeur of the monument are a clear attestation to the size and significance of this story to the country's national imagination. It is located just outside the medieval walls of the old town of Krakow across from the Barbican. It is certainly worth a visit when you are in town. There are several bars and restaurants in the buildings surrounding the square on which this monument is located

This is a wonderful park part of the Tri-city. It is very tranquil, clean and organized with most times offering enough free parking. There are dog designated areas which are well enforced during summer so check the dates bringing your four legged friends. Highly recommended.
This is enchanting place for walking! There are many nice trees, lake, alleys. However, visitors will see monument that reminds and show people about victims of the Second World War in the concentration camp "Auschwitz". It shew me that everyone ought to respect history and come to conclusions in order to understand that violence and brutal behaviour will not bring happiness and prosperity! We must remember about lesson of the past and relate with respect about victims of the Second World War!
We really live this place. New park very good equipped. A lot of of entertainment for children. You can even have a dinner and ice-cream here.
I love the rich history of Krakow.

Very important piece of Warsaw history. Just imagine, 12 tons af human ashes burried there. Their came from just one district Wola. Where Germans murdered around 50-65 thousand civilians within just 10 days, at the beginning of Warsaw uprising.
All together during WWII, Warsaw lost almost as many it's citizens, as US and England of their soldiers and civilians during that same war. Exact number is unknown to this day. This is what the war looked like here. Today it's a lush green park with even kids play area.

Beautiful park. There is a lake in the center. There is place for kids to play. People go there for fishing as well. You may find a lot of people jogging in the evening. Greenery all around and ducks in the water. Enjoy some peaceful quality time there on weekend. Their is one italian restaurant as well to eat or drink.
The statute is a symbol of a great Grunwald battle fought by the brave Polish warriors - the grand-grandfathers of this land, who protected this beautiful country's borders for their offspring - Polish Nation. It shall be always remembered though out the centuries.
This is cementary and park of people who died during Warsaw Uprising. Worth seeing. Also there is playground and outdoor gym and meadow for sunbathing during summer
Very good park
