Gorgeous little relic. Great video talking about the church’s history inside, as well as a selection of rare oddities and tile works. Definitely stop by! And look out for cats sleeping in the theatre room!

Lindo e histórico local! Maravilhosos trabalhos em granito! Vale a pena!
Lovely place to visit night and day. The tower: stairs are not wide so best to go when not busy. Lovely views from the top. We brought a dual ticket which worked out cheaper with the museum.
The church at night has the light show which is very impressive and is 10 euros.
The interior of the church is full of Baroque art and decor. Gold leaf covers almost everything making for a visual treat! Tree of Jesse is an impressive sculpture. Be sure to visit the catacombs.

If you're into old architecture and ruins this is very cool to see and it's only 5 Euro. Some very interesting artifacts and I think worth the admission price.
The tower great way to see Porto from above. The church is really pretty and there is a small museum with Catholic art and relics before you attempt to climb the tower. The stairs are a little steep and the stairwell is narrow, so it might be difficult to climb up if you're a bigger person or someone who has a phobia of tight spaces but the view is lovely and worth the effort.

Worth a quick visit. The usual Boroque architecture and decor typical of Porto churches... the gold overdone in the Main church. Some very expressive and beautiful statues
The basement I would avoid. Seems like a mass grave yard with all and sundry buried and numbered over the floor you walk on 🫥

Another must-see historical site in Lisbon. These ruins are of a convent that was destroyed in the 18th century earthquake. While restoration work is done today, after the quake, the ruins were left as a reminder to the city of what had been lost.

The ruins are impressive, with an excellent museum on site.

I recommend getting to the convent early in the morning to avoid the crowds.

Oh, and enjoy the convent cat who is always available for photos.
Definitely worthy of a visit while in Porto. The architecture and gold gilt was stunning. I was in awe whilst walking around the church.

The catacombs and museum are also included in the price. There was no queuing when I went in and there's also a little shop at the end.

€9 entry and €1 for a guide booklet

An attraction that has been extremely under estimated! I love this museum so much. It is not big, but it is telling you a very interesting story about the past, about its history in Lisbon. The entrance ticket is cheap but extremely valuable. There were some highlights of my time here - first of all I met the mascot, I couldn't remember how long I played with him. He is very cute and friendly and clingy with me!! Second I was amazed by the 3D movie they made for this museum. It is a "must-see" of this place! It is within the indoor display area but on the left side of the entrance. Do not miss the short movie, do not skip the movie, make sure you watch it full (it is rolling) with a 3min ish break in between. The movie was made in 2 languages and mixed spoke (Portuguese then English). The story was so interesting that you would fall into it easily. The special effect was made to fit the actual wall in the room. At the end of the movie, you can even see the mascot walking through on the screen. Slow down, take some time, Carmo Convent is definitely worthy of visiting.

This is a small, but interesting museum. Due to the fact that its located in a ruined medieval convent it feels somehow more authentic. Fairly cheap price of admission, but there is not so much to see that you'd wanna be there for more than an hour, tops. Still, charming and vaguely impressive.
I’m dropping one star just because of the price. 9€ it’s quite pricey in my opinion, especially when you need to pay to enter any other touristy place. But the church it’s beautiful and very unique. I loved the inside and the catacombs.
Great views from the top, really enjoyed it, spent at least 30 mins at the top. Getting there takes a while because they obviously plan the route thoroughly through the church to see the museum-like rooms, chapel itself, and a green screen picture stop

Stunning place, get there early for opening so you can see the grounds without so many around. The inside of the palace is interesting but I wouldn’t felt like I missed out if I didn’t go inside. The audio that you can purchase with the facility did not work well and the app kept closing so I wouldn’t recommend this. Many people around us went on a tour and this may be better if you are looking for the information.
Despite visiting on a weekday, we were disappointed by the long waiting times. The sheer number of visitors took away from the overall experience. Admittance was in groups at specific times, so it's important not to be late. Although the castle’s architecture and history were impressive and worth seeing, it was difficult to truly enjoy it with the large crowds. We felt like we were constantly in a queue, walking in single file throughout the entire visit.
Incredible fairytale palace in the mountains with a rich history, breathtaking architecture and scenery. It is very likely to be like nothing you have ever seen before and well worth the trip.

We had an otherworldly experience as the mist lay in the valley while we had full sun at the palace. Be prepared for the weather to be several degrees cooler in the mountains especially in the cooler months.

There are also extensive gardens as well as a Moorish castle which could easily take a day to explore. Sadly we didn't have time to see either of these and will definitely come back another time.

This is well worth taking a guided tour originating in Lisbon to avoid queues and simplify the journey.

This is a fantastic palace to explore. There's a lot of history here with lots of plaques detailing lots of interesting facts on daily life of the occupants. The architecture is absolutely beautiful, as are the views.

You absolutely need to purchase tickets in advance. Tickets are timed and you need to arrive within your timeslot. Once in, you can stay as long as you'd like, though you'll likely be done after a couple of hours, unless you are a real history buff and wish to read every plaque in every room.

If you're visiting the palace, your ticket also allows you to explore the surrounding grounds, which are huge. You could certainly spend the rest of the day wandering the trails and monuments. If you enjoy hiking, you can allot as much time here as your schedule allows.

Bathrooms are available on site.

If you're visiting multiple sites in Sintra in a single day, I would recommend hiring a driver to maximize your time. You can certainly do it on your own with public transit, but it'll be rushed as you'll be spending more time waiting.
What a beautiful Palace it is. This was the second time I visit. What I don't like it is that was very crowded and you had lots of people near you. It is better to buy the tickets in advance if you want to be sure you will visit. Stick with the hour indicate on the ticket because you aren't allowed to get in.
This surely is a landmark in Porto and a must-see. Built between 1732 - 1750. The unique and impressive tower at the back of the church was built between 1754 and 1763. The tower is 75.6 metres high and there are 240 steps to be climbed to reach the top.
And if you're lucky about timing, you can enjoy the nice bells ringing.

A wonderful piece of art and architecture. Nice to take some pics - even though the angle is a tough one to get a really good pic. But as usual it's best to see with your own eyes and to enjoy the beauty of it.

It's located on top of a hill. Nothing tough, but may be a bit difficult with wheelchair or stroller. The old town center of Porto can easily be done by foot. We just did the Rua Santa Catarina, Rua das Flores and then headed here. Makes a nice walk.
This was my highlight of Sintra and you can easily spend half a day just enjoying tulle walking route and stunning grounds of the park. The Palace ilhas some incredible features and the restaurant offered some lovely food. If you're into nature walks you'll definitely love this.
What a beautiful place. Lines are very large so tickets should be bought in advance and you can only enter at the designated time.
If you want you can visit the exterior part only, but you won’t get to see all areas.
The restaurant in the basement serves great food and was a good option for lunch after a few hours on the lines and touring the castle.

The novices have not yet taken the vow of silence and sell the extremely yummy treats for the convent. If you like almonds this is a place you should not miss. Make sure to have some of the local currency on hand to buy the amazing baked goods that they sell. We also found out that the bars were installed to keep the rowdy school boys from naughtiness.
This is the most beautiful park you can imagine and there's a scenic view combined with the prettiest little castle and the option of finishing with a cold beer in the cafe. Highly recommended when in Sintra. As a matter of fact; skip Sintra and just visit this gem.
This is a classic beautiful church. Unfortunately by 8 AM it is crowded with tourists. They’re not there to look at the church but rather take selfies. If you really wanna enjoy the church, get tickets in advance and enjoy them. Beautiful interior.
Really nice exhibitions and the garden is to dream for. It is the best garden I have seen in Lisbon so far, I always dream of the next time I will go there. So many places where you can enjoy the views, the ducks and the landscape in general. I love it 💗🌾🦆
It is a lovely and stunning palace. We got tickets ahead of time, but unfortunately, we walked up the mountain and didn't make it on time; the staff didn't allow us to visit inside the palace for being late... In the future, I recommend arriving 15-30 minutes before your time. You have to pay again if you are late; we skipped the palace inside since the outside is perfect photography. We had a lovely picnic in the park.
The experience was one of a kind. You need to take more than 200 steps all the way up to reach the tower and the view on top is breathtaking! I highly recommend this! 👌

Gorgeous historical site. Colorful and rich with history and awe inspiring views. We bought tickets the day before online. Decided to get the 5:30pm slot for lesser crowds. Enjoyed walking through the interiors and taking lots of pictures around the outside of the palace. Sunset was incredible. Definitely plan on wearing comfortable shoes.
Wow, such an incredible historical site. This is one of the less visited palaces of Sintra which gives the visitor a better opportunity to enjoy the rich detail of the ornate exteriors and interiors without the crowds. Purchased our ticket online the same day. We got there around 3pm and spent about 1.5 hours exploring. They also have a great coffee shop/ restaurant with lots of seating. Truly a gem and worth visiting while in Sintra.
What a lovely museum! This hidden gem is nestled in an urban oasis. The entrance fee is affordable, and it wasn’t too crowded. Granted, we visited mid-week, so perhaps the weekends are busier.

The museum houses the private collection of a rich oil guy, and while I think many of the priceless artifacts from around the world should be returned to their places of origin, I must admit that it was incredibly cool to meander through the exquisitely-curated rooms and marvel at the wonders that await.

I appreciated that each object was allowed to shine, and the exhibits weren’t overcrowded. Each item has its own space to breathe. The museum takes about an hour to go through if you take your time, and I think it’s an excellent size.

My favorite parts were the Turkish plates, European impressionist paintings, jewelry room at the end, and the Egyptian room.

The gift shop felt overpriced and underwhelming, but the cafe was very cute.

Really curious place to discover. We got here on the 435 tourist bus which was a bit crowded with a long wait. Once we arrived there was no line to enter. One of the wells inside the estate had a MASSIVE queue to see, so we skipped that, but everything else in the park was pleasant to discover. The house can be visited too, its not very big though and we only accessed the bottom floors. The restaurant was nice for lunch.
This was probably my favorite place to visit in Sintra and I wish I had spent more time here. The grounds are just really pretty and nice to wander around. It’s also massive and the maps don’t make it very easy to navigate but it’s still very pretty. The initiation well is quite unnecessary in my opinion. You have to wait in line maybe 20-30 minutes just to walk down into the well and have a million people in your pictures. But other than that it’s a nice park and you can get some really cute photos
I went on the 1st weekend of the month so the ticket was free; even though there was a big line for getting in it moved pretty fast. The collection exceeded my expectations, hosting so many different and interesting pieces of art. I loved the contrast with art and nature in the background. Definitely worth a visit (or two)!
Our favourite castle and garden in Sintra.
Also has a great history display upstairs. I recommend taking the path to the left down hill through the garden and then getting the little "train" from the cafe up the hill when you are finished. The train goes up and back approx every 15 min and is included in the ticket price, so there is no excuse to miss out.
Really beautiful Church in the heart of the Porto Riviera.

The ticket prices are Euro 9 per person and an English written guide costs an additional Euro. It's expensive but it's worth it frankly as the woodwork with the gold work is incredible and must cost a fortune to maintain. We didn't visit the catacombs but the ticket prices include this.

Make sure you take in the Christ genealogical tree. Again a must visit if in Porto.
Sintra was the best attraction in the Lisbon area.

We visited only this palace, which I was surprised to find out it was privately owned, like other palaces around that belonged to aristocrats.

There is a 10-minute walk through lovely gardens to get to the house if you go straight there. This place is huge.

We used the bus that comes every 20 minutes or so, and on our way back to the train station, we took a tuktuk, which was quicker and cheap.
We really enjoyed the park, lots of beautiful sights and hidden paths. We skipped the well as the line was way too long (not sure if it's worth waiting an hour to see it). The palace itself was really nice too, but I think the park alone is worth the visit.

Very large convent in scale, with grand columns towering above you as you look up.
Amazing to think how grand in stature this would have been.

It's going through a big renovation project, which will help restore it to some former glory.

Nice displays inside, with very detailed descriptions.

Nice place, not much more than that. We expected to have some English explanation or guidance, but none was available. The exhibitions are nice, and so is the staff.
Stunning park with church ruins that are beautifully overgrown. The Palace itself is intricate and beautiful. The grounds were open at 9am to stroll leisurely without any other people, that’s the way to truly enjoy them. The Palace opens at 9:30, again only minimal people so loud voices didn’t spoil the serenity.

Breathtaking scenery!

The size of this estate is surprising with so many trails and attractions to go through and, as I didn't research in advance, didn't have time to explore all of them. This is definitely an activity for the entire afternoon.

The staircase, or the "initiation well", is the most popular attraction, with the wait time of around 20 minutes to enter. Its starting point is at the top, and descends into a cave-like tunnel with three pathways to other viewpoints of the estate. While it is the most popular one, it personally wasn't that much more amazing than the rest, as the natural beauty blends in perfectly with the architecture with such detail and composition of the whole in mind.

I would say it's great value for money; it's a bit of a walk from the old centre of Sintra, although there is a bus you could take to get there.
This is a very interesting place to visit. Built by the heir to a Brazilian coffee fortune, this amazing place has no real purpose. The grounds are a collection of plants from around the world set into lots of pathways. There is an inverted tower meant as a representation of Dante’s 9 levels of hell. There is a lot of symbolism built into the structures representing the Masons and the Knights Templar. It is worth a visit.
What a collection and everything is so well displayed. I can say honestly it was one of the most enjoyable museums I have visited. Although we did not have the personal guide, I did follow a couple who were being provided with that service, and it sounded an incredible in-depth explanation of the history surrounding the objects. If you visit Lisbon, visit this museum!
Beautiful inside and out, unusually bright colours for the outside walls, it stands out against the blue sky and the greenery. Very crowded, despite us being there early and having booked the tickets in advance. The only place where they were kind of obsessed with checking our tickets, did that at least 5 times. But that’s a minor, as the building was beautiful, with intricate details and decorations, and the views are fabulous. And the park is an amazing place for a nice walk, tranquil and relaxing
Very nice Museum! - great pricing for people under 30! We had a great time there. Bonus: the ducks in the park are very cute and friendly :D

The castle is beautiful, but unfortunately was raining and was extremely foggy. We weren’t unable to see the beauty of the outside of the castle. The line was extremely long, highly recommended to buy tickets in advance and get to the place on time.
Superb private collection of the 20th century. A great mix of all cultures and different elements that were collected and out on display, ranging from Egyptian to Chinese and Belgian masters. So impressive that an individual could amass a collection of this size.
If you only have time for one palace in Sintra, go to Pena Palace. Getting up the hill from Sintra town has a lot of traffic, so give yourself an extra 30 minutes before your time slot. After you arrive at the gate, you have to walk from the park entrance up to the top of the hill (if you take the stairs, this takes seven minutes). There's a bus that goes from the gate to the top that's a separate ticket for 3 euro. At the top, you have to wait in line. This is very confusing. It took me around 20 minutes to go through. Once you're in the castle, you're in a line following everyone else through each room. It's beautiful and unique if you have the patience for it. It's very well preserved and continuously maintained. Bring a sweater, you're at cloud level. Took about one hour once inside, audio for not necessary.
Beautiful Palace. If you plan on visiting, earlier is definitely better. The walk through the palace is guided and takes you through rooms one by one. It is easy to get stuck behind one of the tours while they discuss a room, the later you go, the heavier the traffic.

While there, the places is majestic and beautiful. The views are spectacular, and the freedom you can walk the walls with at the completion of the tour is staggering. This venue is a must visit!
A really beautiful Palace in Sintra Portugal,.
Interesting and unique architecture located on the top of the hill and surrounding with a lot of gardens. Of course during the high season the place is crowded with a lot of people because of it, I highly recommend buying the tickets in advance online, If you're a photographer it will be really hard to take up a good picture of the Palace because lots of people, but still recommend it to go there nearly sunset.
Also if you are going to get tickets directly to the box office do not forget to buy tickets for the shuttle bus which is going from the bottom to the Palace on the top. It will save your energy to walk up.
Very beautiful park and castle, with breathtaking views of the surrounding area. If you have a ticket in advance and arrive early entry can be quick, but be careful not to arrive too late, or want to enter the castle. The line to visit the interior of the castle was very long and we found the view from the balconies satisfactory.
The Pena Palace is a must-see in Sintra, but in the high season, it's too crowded, and I prefer walking through Pena Park. The flora in the park is amazing, so much variety, and there's always something in bloom. If you buy a ticket just for Pena Park, it's much cheaper, and you're able to see the Palace from the outside as well.
From Pena Park you can make a beautiful walk down to the old centre of Sintra.

It is so amazing to walk through history. They are doing some repairs to the structure and the informative video/light show of the history was very cool. I also love that it is an inexpensive visit and kids are free. Worth a quick visit while in Lisbon. Awesome archeological museum that showcase the history of Lisbon. Was pleasantly surprised to see a real mummy inside!! The preserved ruins with interesting stonework is a great start as you stand beneath the remains of the vault that collapsed in the great earthquake of 1755. The museum has many interesting artifacts along with a short film about the history of the convent. Afterward we strolled around back of the ruins and climbing just a few steps we found ourselves at the top of the Santa Justa elevator that many wait in long lines to enter.

I fell a few days ago and scraped my elbow in dirt. I was very close to the museum so i went in to ask to use the bathroom to clean up my wound. Even though they didn’t speak a lot of english they knew immediately something was wrong. When i came out of the bathroom they had a whole ehbo kit and disinfected my wound very well and helped me a lot! Something I’ll never forget!! Thank you so much

Beautiful castle. I'd highly recommend going inside and taking in the view from the balconies. You can see the rest of the palace grounds as well as the city from up on the terraces. Of course, there's a short wait to get in and the exterior may be the most impressive part, but if you have the time, I still think it's worth it to go inside and admire the architecture up close. The interior is lovely as well.
The grounds around the palace are wonderful. The variety of trees and other plants is impressive, and the atmosphere (except when you find yourself near the loud citizens of a certain neighboring country) is relaxing. My only complaint would be the condition of the rose garden, although that is easily explained by the need to save water during the summer.
A must visit church and the ticket purchased includes the older church, artifacts/museum and the catacombs. We visited around late afternoon and it is next to the stock exchange building or the commercial plaza. There were no queues to purchase tickets or to enter the church. It was a relaxing, soul searching + architectural experience. Photos are not allowed in the older church but the interior decorations and depictions are amazing and a feast to the eyes and soul.
The catacombs are next to the newer church and it's well managed and amazing to explore.
The artifacts/museums are not that exciting once you see the older church, catacombs but worth exploring.

Amazing lil place full of history and informations about Pessoa. Great library also. Highly recommend for book worms.
Much more quiet than the other castles in Sintra but we'll worth a visit. Still absolutely stunning carvings and a lovely garden park. You can walk back to Sintra at least one way and it's a nice 2km stretch
First off, I think this church is worth visiting. The woodwork inside is spectacular and richly detailed. There’s also a chapel with rich details as well, and there are catacombs. Note that this is no longer a working church, but a monument. He will not be able to take pictures inside the church itself. You can buy a nice guide for 1€.
I have 2 star because of very un organized system . I have been to several tower but this one is worst. Line to go up is terribly long like other, and they will take the opportunity to get money for the photo op. If your lucky before you even go around the tower it will take 45 mins you go around. ( you will be trap). They just let anybody to go up and down you will come across in a space of 70-80 cm not possible for 2 people (up/down) if your claustrophobic not ideal.i was standing 10 mins waiting to be out of the stairs as nobody manage people to moved. value for money 💰 is not up to the task. Waste of time .
This is an absolute must see when in Sintra Portugal and Lisbon Portugal. Just 45 minutes away by train from Lisbon it’s like visiting the Disney castle! Get tickets in advance and group them with the Moorish Castle which is basically next door. The building/castle is the best part. Colors look awesome and the views are great! Just don’t wander around in the park too long… you might get lost like we did and we were not prepared to hike that long in dresses and sandals. Wear hiking shoes! So many hills. Stay on the WIDE paths. That’s my advice. And just skip the park and go straight to the castle, because when you exit the castle you could go through the gardens anyway on the way to Moorish castle…
A MUST when visiting Lisbon. Not only we were able to enjoy an impeccably curated Giacometti exhibit, but the museum has one of the most beautiful inviting gardens I’ve ever been to.
There is a cafe where you can order bites and drinks and you can sit outside in the terrace or in the grass enjoying nature. The permanent collection boasts an impressive collection for those who appreciate art. Make sure to check their schedule online for we missed a concert that was sold out the day we visited. I am sure the space offers special events worth going.

Splendida e maestosa con una vista mozzafiato su Porto. Davvero emozionanti gli interni del chiostro decorati con i caratteristici azulejos.
Beautifully curated collection. However: all the information/signs are in portuguese, so if you’re a foreigner this might not be worth the visit…
I mean I have seen a lot of churches and cathedrals but without any doubt this is one of the most notorious ones. It has two buildings. The one the right is absolutely incredible. You are not allowed to take photos inside and I respected that and did not take any photos. The one on the left is small and peaceful.

Excellent museum in the heart of Lisbon. You’ll see a great diversity of periods and regions when browsing the art. Expect to spend about 1hr for the main part and 30 mins per individual temporary exhibits.
Amazing experience for book lovers. A complete and intriguing journey through Fernando Pessoa's life and his many heteronyms.
Exposition put together really well. We spent an hour here, but could easily have stayed another two or three.

Beautful surroundings, worth a visit. Fascinating and amazing items on exhibit. I would give 5 stars except for: lighting made it a bit hard to view details on some items, and I would like to have seen more of the house. No doubt they will continue to improve these details. The grounds are a jewel. If you appreciate textiles, embroidery, and furniture craftsmanship, you may find this to be especially interesting.
The best author museum I've been to in my life.

To enjoy your visit, you must already know who Fernando Pessoa is, so I wouldn't say it's for regular tourists. The staff was very pleasant. Especially the librarians helped me to get to know Pessoa's texts and told me many interesting information about him.

The tickets are almost free.

We were surprised by the museum when visiting the park and the fact that on that weekend, it was for free. The visit took around 20-30min, and it was a good experience.

I wouldn’t say it’s a must, but if you are around, go check that.

The toilet is also great, very clean and perfumed. So if you are around and need to use it, go there.
Beautiful building and surroundings. Great view of the Duoro river.
The current collection of objects are worth to see it.
Last, we attended a delightful classical music concert with Costa Atlantica Orchestra.

Often a pioneer in multiple fields of knowledge and entrepreneurship, the city of Porto opened Portugal's first municipal museum in 1850, the Municipal Museum of Porto, whose origin was the earlier Allen Museum, that had been inaugurated in 1837. João Allen was a collector from Porto, who had gathered and exhibited a profuse collection that highlighted the emerging interest in the 19th century in a wide array of different fields of knowledge.
The present exhibition will be on display at the Quinta da Macieirinha for a long period of time, with occasional insertions of new works and rotation of the different exhibition units. Visitors will be able to discover, or rediscover, relevant works from the former Municipal Museum of Porto's original collection and from the City Museum's collection.

Romantic era's most notable thinkers and researchers, such as Johann Wolfgang Goethe or Alexander von Humboldt, and also collectors such as João Allen, we aim to present the house as a heuristic space, of phenomenological investigation and observation, in which phenomena are presented kaleidoscopically through a myriad of different fragments. In short, the house as a museum device.
Wonderful place to learn about the personal life and work of this amazing literary monster. The museum was recently remodeled, and the space is amazing. You'll learn about pessoa's private correspondance, the "birth" of the heteronyms, a collection of photos and personal items, and my favorite: his personal book library! Every book was digitized together with the marginalia and the collection is available at the museum website. The personnel is extremely well informed and available to guide you and share what they know.

You have to visit it to better understand such an important cultural figure and creative mind of Portugal.

This place must be an example for other writers and poets houses and Fondations,
It shows how you can make tourism and culture with the opera of a great writer.

I visited it years ago but it was completely renewed.
Casa Fernando Pessoa received the Best Portuguese Museum Award, which distinguished the quality of the project and the ability to renew.
The collection is now arranged to accompany and involve the visitor, from the first known written record of Pessoa, at the age of six; until the last sentence he wrote, on the eve of his death.
Very beautiful and we'll organise the collection and entertainment too
This place is amazing! A very concise museum, absolutely able to transport you to the life and work of Fernando Pessoa. It stays in the place where he last lived, is easily accessible by tram (I am sure, 28E, but there is another one too). Cheap to get into, it also has a restaurant/coffee place inside (with a very worthy menu of the day).
A nice surprise. Views from inside the building are excellent
Small but very interesting museum with friendly & helpful staff, lots of interactive displays, fascinating pieces of cinematographic equipment and when we visited, 2 photographic displays. Excellent value!
Nice things, but too little and ONLY Potuguese text. The Photo exebition was totally without historically inspiration or insight. When you enter a museum/exebition, and the guard are eating his hot food at the counter and 30 % of the museum is empty (the basement, with the most beautyfull medieval collums!!!) you already know that this is a second rate experience.

Great view!

Porto’s Cathedral, the Sé, is an historic landmark in the old centre, where the city was born. In fact, Morro da Sé is the oldest district in Porto. Its characteristic neighborhood and its residents are the most genuine part of the city.
Right next to the cathedral, you can see the beautiful medieval tower from the 13th century. A few steps above, there’s the tourism information office, built over the ruins of another medieval tower, the Casa dos 24.
Very interesting! I wanted to go again, as it's the first sunday of the month, and it's free. Sadly, it's closed. What's the point... Having a free entrance day, a month, and most of the places are closed.

The Cathedral is well preserved. Great artwork inside. You can also climb one of the towers. Magnificent Portuguese tiles.
Nice museum in what was the former home of King Charles Albert, the exiled King of Sardinia. The king lived his final days here after he abdicated his throne. The house/museum is well maintained. Visitors get a glimpse of life in the 1800's of the Porto elite. Signs are in Portuguese and English. Entrance is around €2.20. We got in free with our Porto Card. The museum offers a restaurant with a view of the Douro River.
