So much historical content from the Islamic world. The interior design of the building was absolutely magnificent as I have never seen a Museum of this caliber before. The displays and presentation overall was outstanding. Highly recommended to visit if you’re ever in Doha.
The architecture of this place is amazing. It's a building you'll enjoy visiting especially if you're a Muslim bcos there's a whole lot to connect to, know, learn and immense yourself with. I highly recommend this museum to any Muslim tourist visiting Qatar.
Great museum! Just make sure there’s an ongoing exhibition before visiting (via phone call).
Amazing spot to take in the beauty of some of the most iconic pieces of Islamic Art spanning thousands of years of tradition and human development. Meticulously crafted beautifully preserved artifacts. It's not a super large museum with only 2 floors, but the museum is beautifully architected and situated along the harbor with amazing views during sunset. Don't forget to check out the gift shop as well with a ton of interesting pieces for sale. They also offer a ticket that gives access to 3 museums (this museum, Qatar National Museum, Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum) over 7 days for the price of just 2 one day museum entry tickets.
Beautiful museum! It's interesting to see this old and small building coexisting with Doha's skycrapers. My recommendation is to check what's being exhibited before going because your experience will depend mostly on what's being exhibited at the moment and if you're interested in it.
The exhibits don't overwhelm you and everything is nicely organized. You also get good views of the Doha skyline from the area outside the museum.
Great place , its all about art , lovely yo see local artists works

Beautiful modern and trend setting downtown. From the clean and well designed metro to the gorgeous courtyards and various restaurants/coffee shops, this is an area worth checking out!
Would 100% recommend to anyone interested in learning the cultural and historical background of Islam and other religions that has shaped it. I saw ancient artefacts, jewellery, architecture among other things- it makes me wonder on the depth of details and skills our ancestors had and how we have lost most of it in the name of “automation”.
Immerse yourself in the wonders of an extraordinary museum, where a plethora of captivating artifacts awaits your exploration. I was truly enamored and thoroughly enjoyed my visit, and I'm certain you will fall in love with this enchanting place as well.

Main gallery is closed, only two galleries open, 1st gallery some paintings of horses and 2nd gallery Huawei P60 advertisements so please don't waste time to visit.
Went there in the month of May, so it was pretty hot in the day, my advise is to stay indoors in the daytime. Good place for a sunset view. Price for per person is 50 QR. a very good view of city skyline from here.
Doha Fire Station is a great place to visit and enjoy art through the galleries, exhibitions, Cafe #999, getting art supplies from Cass Art and architecture.

We had a tour for this museums. There were 30 ladies in the group. We visited only two houses because of time constraint, but nevertheless it was very informative. There are 4 houses that was changed into museum. The company tells us the story of how qatar started oil exploration and the working condition for the staffs. This house is where the staffs come once a month to collect their pay and see their families. We also visited Radwani’s house which show how the houses changed from 1930s until now. Quite informative. Will definitely see the other museums on another day. The museum staffs were helpful and provide good insights during the tour.

Sublime Architecture in the heart of Msheireb City, considered as the largest open-air covered square in Middle East, with a fancy restaurants and hotel around the place, used frequently to host different kind of Events, memorable place worth visiting.
Old Fire Station of Doha converted to an Arts and Cultural Center with galleries, TV studios, restaurants, etc There is also a big Art’s supply store close to the galleries.
It is located close to the FIFA Fan Festival, in the opposite side of the Corniche entrance. During Qatar22, exhibitions of Al Jazeera TV at the main building and of Qatari artist Yousef Ahmad at Al Markhiya Gallery.
Also resident artists exhibitions:
- From____To_____ (water/sky/land)
- Arwa Al Neami: Art is not a race
- Note to self

Interesting, educational, inspirational. Visit all 4 houses, as the content and message are different and all precious.
Staff on all sites is kind and helpful.
Location:Doha corniche
Attractive
Need maintanance
Loved this museum/gallery.
Hadso much going on.
I particularly liked the Al-Jazeera exhibition.
Lots of art and a great Italian restaurant on site.
Even the security guards are helpful and friendly.
There are four houses of Qatari families located in the Mushreib downtown, turned to the museums with thematic galleries. House of Bin Jelmood, Mohammed bin Jassim house, Company house and Radwani house. By visiting these houses you will learn about history of Doha and development of oil industry and its impact on the economic growth of the country. This complex is totally free of charge. 5 min walking distance to Souq Waqif.

I did not realise the museum is free to attend! Very thought provoking, my favourite house was Bin Jelmood because they go into depth about slavery in Qatar. Highly recommend if you want to learn about Qatari history, from pearl diving to the history of Musheirab and much more!

A separate exhibition space, the Al Riwaq Art Space, only houses temporary exhibits.

Presently, the art space is hosting an exhibition by Jeff Koons. The layout of this art space is different from the museum of Islamic art, although it occupies the same grounds as the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA). The space was very well set up and brightly lit.

There's a very calm atmosphere to the exhibition, which is thought-provoking and intriguing.
Al Riwaq Gallery is hosting Jeff Koons’s first exhibition in the Gulf region wich provides a unique view into his exceptional career as one of the best-known contemporary artists.
In the 1990s, he created a series of huge steel sculptures imitating oblong balloon toys. Playing with such balls, as Koons said, in childhood made an impression on him, which has not been erased to this day.

Went there today , costumer service was amazing and were very kind and helpful …but honestly in my opinion I did not like the exhibition one bit frankly I found it pretty lame …the “art” pieces idea were too far fetched for me to even consider it art rather then some stupidity. Costumer service was amazing tho hence the one star . wouldn’t recommend going

THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! They abuse the animals, and ignore safety guidelines, some of the animals aren’t even separated from the visitors. The animals were hungry, many of them bleeding, their ribs showing. It was horrifying.

don't believe any review saying it's opened, it closed in late 00's early 2010's for supposedly "renovation" . but in fact it's permanently closed as no working is happening in it, one star just so people read it

The Doha Zoo used to be a huge fan attraction, but unfortunately it has been closed down for renovation for quite some time now. There were several reopening dates that were touted around, but so far, nothing has come out of it. The only expectation is that when it reopens, it would be an event worth remembering.
It is quite sad that one of the best landmarks in the country is still under lock and key. Would it open soon? Nobody is sure.

A place of discrimination. A guard at the entrance told us that we are not allowed to take photos inside. Really? I haven't heard of any zoo that prohibits picture taking. He checked the last photo on our camera and said any photos that will be added after that, he will delete. He did that to us only. Of course we also took photos when we got inside just like everybody else. When we were about to go out, we waited for him to turn his back then we ran away out for the exit.
