The castle itself isn't something spectacular to see, especially if you've visited other castles before, but the history behind it is very interesting, especially if you're into the topic.
The most interesting part was the torture room so definitely add it to your tour.
There is a small park around the castle so you can also go for a walk around it.
Amazing material! My favorite are Greek colony Tomis. Thank you!

A very beautiful castle, with a ritch history, the prettiest of views and a perfectly spooky atmosphere. Worth entering for sure. The only slightly negative is that there are a few tight spaces with a lot of steep steps that aren't perfectly flat, so if you're mobility isn't great I wouldn't recommend.

Fascinating history of the location.
They really embrace the Dracula story and use it to the utmost.
The Royal family of Romania is just as fascinating.
It might be a bit disappointing if you went during Halloween and waited HOURS to get in.
But a must-see for Tansylvania.

Beautiful small castle associated with Count Dracula, but only by the novel written by Bram Stoker. (Dracula has never been here)
The age of the castle is unknown, along with its original owners. It was renovated by Queen Mary, the wife of King Ferdinand, and used as a retreat.
The village of Bran has certainly made use of its location and similarities to Stoker's novel and turned the castle into a must-see location for those who love history, vampires, and spooky happenings.
Tickets are required to enter, which can be bought either on arrival or online. There is a fairly steep incline to reach the entrance made if cobbles, which can be slippery, so care is needed.
Below the castle, in the grounds is a market selling locally made crafts and souvenirs, and refreshments.
Good views and not crowded

A wonderful experience. Although the castle it self is not anything spectacular to see, the atmosphere is amazing. The castle is situated near a lake full of green while there are many small shops with souvenirs and quick traditional food that you can taste. Tickets are easy to get and relatively cheap. There is a 5 min que thought to enter inside.

This should be on top of the list when visiting Iasi. It has 4 museums, and you should also buy the ticket for the clock tower. We had such a nice time, we definitely recommend this as the 1st thing to vidit in Iasi

The castle was very fascinating, and the grounds were full of history and a real basis for most of the folklore you hear surrounding the castle. The castle itself has a lot of areas closed off and it was more of a museum rather than a full focus on the mythic lore. Still very cool place and would recommend
This place is very nice! I like it, i am coming back when this building is finished.
Quite interesting! A place to visit in the city of Constanta. An interesting trip back in the history of Romanian Navy!

Overall a very nice experience but rather crowded. Maybe it would be better to have time slots as there was quite often a queue to get from one room to another. Otherwise, very nice and well maintained. The garden area is also good for a walk. Also, it’s a steep walk to the entrance of the castle.

Nice palace from the outside. Inside less impressive, nice marble sculptures and marble walls.
This museum is Huge and very well maintained and curated. Lots of rooms with lots of items, ship models, pieces of actual boats, actual boat deck fragments, suits and character displays, marine technology, torpedoes, lighthouse lenses, documents, etc. A yard with real anchors, actual war ships parked in a pool, ship guns, engines, etc. You need at least 2 hours for a very shallow and speeding run through it, half a day to understand something from it, and well over a week to get lost in the mountain of details. It's a world class museum by any standards. Definitely worth a long visit or even multiple visits.
Probably the most known place in whole Coast of Romania, nice one to see, currently under renovation. The whole area is actually pretty nice so just take a walk around. I hope it will be possible also to go inside after all work is done.
It is a little bit overrated, I think. It is nice to visit, but it is probably a good idea to avoid weekends, it is very crowded. You can buy tickets in advance from the official site ( I have seen there are other websites with some overpriced tickets).
While the wait time for the entrance was not that long there are some bottlenecks around the way ( on the terrace for example where you have to wait in the sun )
The garden of the castle is very nice

The art is beautiful but the museum gets boring very fast. There is no context or anything about the romanian art history or the artists that are shown in the museum. I hope they get funds to make this museum what the art deserves

We all know the legends. It has the vibe, the beauty. The Bran city is very cozy and nice to spend some time in. In the castle there is place to sit and have something to eat or drink. You buy tickets at the front gate. There is three levels of your. The basic and two others with tour guide. Even if you buy the basic one, you can upgrade once you are inside.
Nice place to relax and enjoy
A surprisingly interesting museum, even for someone like me, who's not really passionate about ships and the navy. I really enjoyed the visit, there was plenty to see. The only issue was that I felt like some of the exhibits could have used more explanations and context, I had to google a lot of things. Most of the descriptions were in Romanian, English and French, so you can visit even if you don't speak Romanian. You can pay by card for the tickets.

The day I visited Bran castle happened to be a foggy day which accentuated the ambience of the castle being the inspiration of Dracula Castle in Bram Stoker's novel. Beautiful, boding and imposing castle with a lot of history. Many interesting artefacts to be seen. Definitely worth a visit

The Palace of Culture in Iasi stands as a testament to history, culture, and architectural grandeur. This iconic landmark has etched its presence onto the city's skyline, and as I had the privilege of exploring its corridors and chambers, I was entranced by the blend of artistic mastery and historical significance it embodies.

It is a true gem that stands as a testament to the city's rich heritage and artistic legacy. Its architectural beauty, historical significance, and cultural offerings make it a must-visit for locals and tourists alike. As I walked through its halls and explored its museums, I couldn't help but feel a deep sense of reverence for the past and gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of its living history.

Very nice building. Has 4 museums inside.
There was a light show outside in August but I don’t think that’s usual.
I recently visited The Museum of Romanian Navy and found it to be a clean and tidy place, although it was unfortunately not very crowded during my visit. There was an abundance of things to learn about, and I appreciated that the names of the exhibited objects were provided in Romanian, French, and English. However, I did notice that some artifacts and displayed objects lacked detailed descriptions, which could have enhanced the overall experience for visitors. In addition to these positives, I observed that a few of the displayed ships at The Museum of Romanian Navy were not well-preserved, with some showing signs of wear and broken parts. While the museum provides a rich learning experience, addressing the maintenance and preservation of these artifacts could significantly contribute to a more immersive and engaging visit for all attendees.

Can't believe this castle is 650 years old because it's still standing strong. Full with romanian history inside, and you can hire guides if you go in a group. A must-see for history or fantasy lovers. I visited on a Wednesday, and it was extremely busy, so i don't recommend you try to visit weekends as it might be too crowded. I liked to see many foreigners queuing to see this amazing nation treasure.

What a beautiful and historic structure! It was totally worth the few dollars it cost to climb the tight spiraling stairs and savor the best panoramic views in the city. A must do when in the old town.

The mosque was built between years 1910 and 1913 by the initiative of King Carol I of Romania on the place of Mahmudiye Mosque built during Ottoman sovereignty. It is also called as the King Mosque. I have not heard that it was called as The Great Mosque till google maps and because it is quite small mosque to call as “great”:). You can climb to the minaret by paying I think 5 Romanian lei. No payment is taken from muslims or Turks. I saluted the lady at the booth in Turkish and she let me in freely. Local Muslim community in Constanta city are from Ottoman times and are Turkish and Tatar origin that speaks a dialect of Turkish. It is a nice place to visit and to watch the city from top. There are not many historical objects within city from that period of history.
Foarte aglomerat, dar am rămas plăcut surprinsa de acest Castel al domnului Dracula😁,a meritat!

It’s an amazing castle with stunning views, would definitely recommend a visit. We didn’t have to queue to get and and it wasn’t too busy when we went.

The walk around the castle was so pretty. The grounds around the castle were beautiful as well.

One thing to note is the small corridors and stairways.
That was an amazing experience, thank you Iași for these memories. Great place with beautiful museums inside, highly recommend!

The art in itself is beautiful, but the building is not well maintained. There are no audio guides, it gets very boring after 2-3 rooms. No air conditioning/clima.
Romanian cultural authorities are underfunding these institutions, Museum employees unfortunately can't change most of these aspects.
A great building is reconstructed after years. Can't wait to see the final version.

Cool but extremely crowded. We got there before opening and it was already packed. They should lift the price and admit less people. Other than that - the chamber of torture was cool, hidden stairs as well, but the rest is like any other castle.

I found my visit to Bran Castle, also known as Dracula's Castle, to be intriguing and historically significant. The architecture and surrounding landscape were captivating. However, the tour lacked depth and could have provided more comprehensive information about the castle's ties to Vlad the Impaler. Overall, it's a decent experience for those interested in history and folklore.
A lot of ship models on display with descriptions in 3 languages. Good range, from clothing, weaponry to actual mines and missiles.
NUS card accepted for discount
For me and my friends this was more entertaining than Bran Castle itself

The castle was amazing to visit, all the rooms and imagining how it used to be a long time ago, that was great. The interior courtyard with the fountain is also amazing. Exiting through the elevator outside is cool. There were A LOT of people though, it would have been more enjoyable if there were less people in order to enjoy the rooms more but still it was worth it. Long, long queue to enter

It was TERRIFYING. We though that it was something that is not scary, but it was. When my parents were buying the tickets, I faced to face one of the employee who will give us some jumpscares, and the funny part was that we were staring at each other 😂. It was scary for me, fun for my sister, and ok for my parents. When you'll to the end, some employees with weird masks will give you some jumpscares. And because I was too scared, I accidentally dropped my ticket, and I said 'mom, I dropped my ticket 😭😭'. Bet the employee was holding his laugh so hard🤣🤣. Then, at the end, it's, let's just say, a music to be more scary and when I heard it I jumped a little 😭😭. Above to others, the castle needs a try

If you are a tourist in Constanta you really must visit this casino. Unfortunately it is closed for renovation, which will last until 2025. But even until then, you can see the beauty of the architecture of this casino which was built in 1880.

A worthy sight when you are visiting Constanta. We visited during the renovation works, so wasn't really nice experience at that time. We were a bit wondered by that not really historical framing of the building since it's so called as a historical building. So this leads me not to the best rating. Would be a better experience without renovation works for sure.

For visits the mosque it’s open until 21:00 pm. 6 Ron cash for a ticket to have a beautiful view of the port and Ovidiu square. Excellent for sunrise and instagram pics :)
Omg the distance to get to the Black Sea these days... I feel like i am a child again . I appreciated it
Momentan befindet sich das Casino im Umbau, wird renoviert. Es ist quasi verhüllt mit Bauplanen. Der Weg hier her lohnt aber trotzdem .

Wonderful building. Beautiful interior. This is a place that hosts all sorts of out of the ordinary events for the bohemian part of society. It's not just a gallery, but a place where you can enjoy shows regularly, book launches, concerts, etc.
It gets boring pretty fast. If you are sensitive to loud noises, I don't recommend this place, because most of it's scares rely on that, and the props launching towards you. But that's what you have to expect with these places. The main problem is that for the price, you can go through it in 5 minutes, and even I, who was screaming the whole time, got used to the experience halfway through. There are one or two good surprises, but that's all
Biggest mosque in Romania and a historical landmark for Constanța City. Also a great view around if you climb the stairs all the way up, into the minaret.

I especially liked the temporary exhibitions but the permanent one had some nice pieces as well. Even the local artists had some good paintings among the more known ones like Luchian and Grigorescu.
The building is pretty old, and it has wooden floors which are very squeaky :))) so tread carefully around so they don't cause much noise

Very fun. It's natural that after the history lesson from the castle you'd want some scary fun and that's where you get it. This haunted house is well thought out and doesn't have many of the usual kinks of such places. It doesn't feel artificial and even though once in a while you'll hear the hiss of pneumatic artifact, the effect is still cool. The price to quality ratio is also very positive. Definitely recommend.

The museum is located in the Banffy Palace building. So you can visit two attractions at the same time :)

The parquet is so creaky, it's annoying. The staff is polite. permanent and temporary exhibitions are quite interesting.

The expositions are located on two floors, and you need to buy a ticket on each floor. The prices are adequate. You can also buy tickets separately for the permanent exhibition, and temporary, and all together.

Amazing castle with a stunning view above the whole area. Lot of history facts about the castle owners and the community. It is worth to visit it, but you need a little bit of patience and time.
We went there out of the season. But it was nice weather even it was the end of September. You can have very relaxing walk there.
Some people were swimming and sunbathing 👙🏖️
There was few restaurants working, so we could have a meal.
It is also good place for kiting 🪂
The tour was really funny and scary. Scenes are made with passion and love for details. Lots of jump scares.
Fun experience near Bran Castle.
Overall, I do recommend this Romanian Naval Museum. However, there are some cons, along with the pros.
Pros:
- Quality displays representing the history of the Romanian Navy
- Decently priced entry
- Open on Sunday
Cons:
- You must pay an extra $5 if you want to take photos (cell phone or otherwise)
- Staff aren’t especially friendly
- The displays aren’t well labeled
- Quite warm inside, perhaps it was due to the humidifiers? Unsure. But bring some water
- Nothing interactive, so not much fun for the under 15 crowd
Visited it in the middle of September. There are no many people, nearly 10 in around of 200 meters))) The water was perfect: warm, clean and clear. The beach is very wide, clean, but there are many shells, for people who not used to go barefoot, it would be difficult to walk for a long time.
From the railway station you may get there by bus 5-40 & ropeway(good views from the cabin). The stop point of the ropeway is near Mamaia Beach and you may walk along the sea-front street with bicycle path, cafes, restaurants, shops.
Nice experience

🕌 The mosque offers one of the highest vantage points in the city what makes it worth a visit just for that reason. The inside is not breathtaking but definitely a nice cultural wonder when visiting the city.

💸 Don't forget to pay for your ticket 🎟️ on the way in - the office is on the left and will charge you 6 ROM to get in.
Interesting ..... Wish they can advertise more. Just a few ppl for such an interesting stuff.

During my recent visit to Iasi, Romania, I had the pleasure of exploring Palatul Culturii (Palace of Culture), and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. This architectural masterpiece stands as a true symbol of the city's cultural heritage, and it left me captivated from the moment I stepped through its grand entrance.

Palatul Culturii is an imposing structure that showcases a blend of architectural styles, including Neo-Gothic and Romantic elements. Its elegant façade, adorned with intricate details and statues, is a sight to behold. As I wandered through its halls and galleries, I couldn't help but marvel at the craftsmanship and attention to detail that went into its construction.

The palace houses several museums and cultural institutions, each offering a unique glimpse into the rich history and artistic treasures of the region. The Museum of Moldavian History takes visitors on a journey through time, showcasing artifacts and exhibits that span centuries. From ancient artifacts to medieval art and beyond, the museum provides a comprehensive overview of the region's heritage.

Art enthusiasts will be delighted by the Iasi Art Museum, which features an impressive collection of Romanian and European paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. Walking through its galleries, I was able to admire the works of renowned artists, gaining a deeper appreciation for the artistic heritage of the area.

The Palace also boasts a stunning concert hall, which hosts various cultural events and performances throughout the year. The grandeur of the hall, with its ornate decorations and exceptional acoustics, creates an enchanting atmosphere for music lovers and performers alike.

One of the highlights of my visit was climbing the tower of Palatul Culturii. From the top, I was rewarded with panoramic views of Iasi's skyline, offering a breathtaking perspective of the city and its surrounding areas. It was a truly magical experience that allowed me to appreciate the beauty and charm of Iasi from a new vantage point.

The staff at Palatul Culturii were friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about the history and culture of the palace. Their enthusiasm added an extra layer of depth to the visit, as they eagerly shared stories and insights about the exhibits and the building itself.

Whether you're a history buff, an art lover, or simply someone seeking a glimpse into the cultural heritage of Iasi, Palatul Culturii is a must-visit destination. Its magnificent architecture, diverse museums, and captivating atmosphere make it a cultural gem that truly reflects the spirit of the city. I left with a newfound appreciation for the rich cultural tapestry of Iasi and its enduring significance in Romania's cultural landscape.
Small but fantastic museum detailing the history of the many different invasions of Dobrogea as far back as 8C B.C.

The many, varied, stunning exhibits are clearly explained in Romanian and English.

Admission 10 lei/adult. Highly Recommended.
The beach is too wide. The sand is like concrete and, basically not existing. I do not recommend.

A beautiful museum with involved staff. If you are an admirer of visual arts this is (obviously) the place for you, from sculpture to famous paintings and everything in between.

Nice place to visit when in need of art.
Unfortunately not very intuitively and clearly organized.
They have a permanent gallery with paintings from Grigorescu, Luchian, Paciurea and more, and temporary exhibitions, where sometimes you can find real art gems.
The building architecture, inside, outside and the inner courtyard is something to see.
The staff is very polite, but unfortunately sometimes they give you the feeling that you stepped back in time, in communism. They are not at fault. It's the system they work in.
But all considered, it's really worth getting in.
Very cool scenery, sunset colors are to die for.
Very beautiful museum!! It represent the hisotry of the area very well! From the Dacid tribes ,to the romans , byzantines ,ottoamns etc. Its a must visif for any visitors of Tulcea!

Exceptional!
Nice museum explaining the naval history of Romania through treasures, maps, various objects and many ship replica models.
I appreciated the effort to translate the descriptions in french but as a side note, there are so many mistakes it doesn't look serious... One should review those, any student in Constanța could do the job
Very nice, still water good for swimming !
Visit Mamaia Beach on 29th of May, still not summer season. Due to Covid restrictions not so many people around. Good surprised that beach is very wide, more than 200 mtr. As local people said beach was extended last year, too many people during summer time. Many restaurants working on terrace. Nice atmosphere & fresh sea salty air, plan to come back again during summer season to enjoy 😉

It is a piece of history... But not curated at all.
Nice views over Tulcea an river
Interesting temporary exhibition of C20th contemporary technical items. Otherwise fairly standard history of the local area but with English as well as Romanian description.
România has an incredibly rich archaeological heritage and history, including conquest and settlement by the Romans. The museum staff have done a good job of displaying some of the beautiful artefacts in the museum's possession. You might think a provincial town like Tulcea wouldn't have much to put in an archaeological museum but you'd be quite wrong. Take time to visit it - it's well worth the trouble.

One of the nice places to visit in Tulcea. A statue and many stairs with a partially nice view. Partially, because you can see a lot of the city but also a lot of garbage (which is actually a shame for such a nice view. Also be careful which road you take to this place. We followed Google maps and ended up on a very unpleasant route.
The History and Archaeology Museum of Tulcea, albeit small, offers plenty of artefacts to see, spanning from the prehistoric era to late medieval and early modern. The upside is that it's situated in the area of the Aegyssus archaeological site, so you can visit two heritage objectives.
The standard ticket doesn’t include the tunel, the torture room or a guide.
The castle is a bit empty, not a lot of furniture or decor.

The standard ticket is a bit expensive but is nice to see the castle once, wouldn’t come back but i dont regret the visit.

Mentioned by the roman poet Publius Ovidius Naso, the ruins of Aegyssus are situated on the Monument Hill, Tulcea. The roman settlement and fortification, parts of which are visible today, have been inhabited from the 1st to 7th century AD. This archaeological site is currently being researched.
If you want to discover the frantic and interminglings of ancient cultures in Dobrogea, here is the place. Great to see if you're passionate about ancient Greece or Roman Empire as it has many recovered pieces from those eras.
Modest museum about ancient civilisation. You need at least 2-3 hours to see a glimps of all the tombstones and statues on the outside. Inside really cool(airconditioned), best choice when 40°(hot)
