They charged us extra for the New Year's Eve event, even if we already had a ticket for earlier that same day. The event was alright, and the restaurant remained open. However, once New Year's Eve arrived, they began closing everything, requiring everyone to leave.
Interestingly, the sign indicating the year was mostly displaying 2023 (at 0hrs it changed but then it went back to 2023— I'm not sure why and didn't get an explanation). On the positive side, it offers a beautiful viewpoint of the city, and the music was good.

Great place to visit, to see different animals, have some coffee and see the Christmas decorations and the market

I would not recommend going here. Most houses and markets are closed, lights and music are placed in the most random way and animals placed in cages with should really not be allowed anymore. The price is way too much for what you get. It was definitely a disappointment, but we had a good laugh about it.
I’m sure that for families with kids, in the summer, it is a great attraction.

We honestly came to Skansen just for the aquarium, but you need to buy a ticket for Skansen and then pay extra for the aquarium. This ended up being totally worth the extra cost! It was a fun little aquarium with more things to see than we expected! Highly recommend.
Absolutely loved the atmosphere. We started around 11 am and could see the entire open air museum in 3 hours. There are many attractions within the museum from zoos, church, farm, and many other activity areas. If it’s a sunny day you will enjoy a lot. There is a decent aquarium called Baltic aquarium.
The people in the houses were dressed like they were from the old times. They taught us a lot about Sweden's history and how they used to live.
You can also buy cool things and eat outside, which is nice.
I think it would be even better if they showed us how the windmills worked back in the day.

This is an interesting historical tourist place in Stockholm, as there are multiple old homes and structures preserved here, a large park to walk, a kids zoo, aquarium (costs extra) and a science museum.
This place is perfect for your kids and they will enjoy it. There is a beautiful traditional market and we were pleased to see the folk dance.

Fascinating attraction with a plethora of old Swedish buildings, some of which you can look around.
The park also features enclosures with many Swedish animals that are very well designed for their comfort as well as our viewing. We saw many animals that you typically would not see in zoos such as wolverines, brown bears and lynxes.
Also, wandering around the park we saw red squirrels that ate acorns from our hands!

A very charming place to visit. It's really cool that it's one of the oldest open-air museums in the world, and they also have a zoo garden. Important to know, besides the entrance fee, there are certain areas within the zoo garden where you need to pay an additional fee to enter and visit.
One of the loveliest experiences and places in town, although with a bit of mixed feelings when it gets to the lovely animals in captivity.

Having such a big park in a big city is by itself amazing. Then making it an open- air museum dedicated to educating people in a fun way is great. I liked walking around, watching the animals and seeing the unique old houses.
However, it would be nice if you could actually go inside. You CAN go in some of them with dressed up people explaining the history in a playful and fun way. That's great! Only when I was there these were only like 3 houses. Maybe it was just today, but I would have definitely wished for more.

Beautiful, well kept aquarium with many interesting animals. Plenty of information there too! You could even pet the snake, and the babboons have babies right now.

Probably better to go around the working village after 2pm as we found a few places closed we think it was staff lunch time as we saw people in costume arriving as we moved on. Do try the pasties from the bakery as they were some of the best we had in Stockholm.

We enjoyed seeing the Nordic animals, but felt that the signs to find the enclosures kept giving us false promises as to how far we had to walk. Typical of all Zoo's not all animals could be found in their enclosures.

Super cool outdoor museum!
There are old styles of Swedish buildings in a garden and forest type setting. You can go in some of the buildings and see old styles of Swedish furniture and decor.
There are some Scandinavian animals to see as well that are in large forest type enclosures. I’m not a huge fan of zoos or animal preserves but this was enjoyable.
There is a lot of walking involved with getting around the park, most of the park seemed wheelchair accessible. Lots of shade and places to sit as well.
Several restaurants and little gift shops are located inside the park.

Skansen by itself is SO worth it.
I don't understand why the aquarium is a separate fee. They can charge 5 to 10 kr more to enter Skansen and make the aquarium part of it. Instead of charging 160 kr extra.

The park definitely is a fun place to spend a couple of hours. The places gives a real traditional Swedish vibe. The zoo was fun with a variety of animals ranging from Scandinavian reindeers, to monkeys and bears. There even is an aquarium with a variety of fish. The park offers multiple great viewing points as it is placed on a hill. Note that there is an entrance fee.
The diversity of marine species housed in the aquarium is truly impressive. From colorful tropical fish 🐠 to majestic sea turtles 🐢, from graceful rays 🐬 to mysterious jellyfish 🦑, there was something to captivate every visitor. The well-designed exhibits provided a glimpse into the mesmerizing underwater world, allowing me to get up close and personal with these beautiful creatures.
A lot of great animals, and something fun for all ages to enjoy, in a great atmosphere. The areas are themed so you feel like you're in with the animals.
It costs an additional fee, but that's well worth it! You can get very close to several animals (no touching, though, except for organized events) and learn a great deal about them as well. Check out the hilarious info on the Cuban Crocodiles!
It is very clean and the animals looks healthy and happy. I was expecting more sea creatures. There was monkeys, frogs, crocodiles, snakes, lizards and more,but not so much fish. Otherwise was nice experience and the animals looks in good condition.
