They organize special events sometimes. It is very convenient to get there(get off at MRT Sanam Chai station, exit 1). I was actually there for the Knowledge Book Fair (besides buying books, I wanted to try the runner-up of World Kaphrao Thailand Grand Prix 2023 (Jitsodchuen: จิตสดชื่น). The event lasts until 18 Feb 2024.

Amazing museum showcasing the history, culture and developement of Thailand. Several very interesting exhibits with my favourite being the staircase of abandoned clothes!! Many great photo opportunities to be had! Lots of school children visiting on the day of my visit. The museum was not too busy and was very comfortable to walk around.

This museum is truly a gem, showcasing amazing exhibits that delve deep into the rich history and culture of the Thai people.
It's a must for those who eager to explore the roots of Thainess and witness its evolution into the beautiful tapestry of traditions and heritage that we see today.

Wonderful interactive exhibition for those who want to better understand Thailand and what being Thai means. My visit lasted about 3 hours and I enjoyed my time there very much. Almost every room got my attention and gave me the information I wanted. Before leaving the museum, I bought the book of the exhibition because it is very well done as the exhibition itself.
A cool interactive museum about what it means to be Thai and what "thainess" is. A very interesting modern exposition, where both children and adults hang out for 2-2.5 hours for sure. Lots of details, thoughtful space, interesting interaction with the exhibits! We had a great time, we didn't want to leave. Excellent English audio guide. Friendly service! Totally recommend 🫶🏻

This is good place to learn about Thai culture, nearby Wat Pho and Grad Palace. You can combine on your tour. 100B for each person and free ticket for above 60 years old. They have free students uniforms for photoshoot. And amazing transformation show.

Cool place to spend time with friends and learning about Thailand in modern style. Interesting exhibition about fast fashion and they always keep changing, I assume. The section where they explained history of Thailand are quite creative! Many fun activities to do. They also have backdrops and traditional clothes for you to tried and take pictures.

The museum was curated quite well on educating tourists of the topic of Thainess, but at the same time it definitely narrates a good sense of pride to the locals about being Thai. It's very interesting to see how Thais have been building their identity based on the pillars of - Nation, Religion, Monarchy.

It's an extremely interactive museum that fits across all ages. They even have a costume fitting corner where both adults and kids can try out different Thai outfits. The museum shop is also well stocked, where you could stamp and customize postcards to be sent back home.

After the visit we extended our stay, hanging out in front of the museum. The small wheeled cafes provided mats for you to use on the grass. It really is quite a vibe to be in.

A must visit if you're in Bangkok!

A must-come destination in Thailand. It is easy to get there by MRT Sanam chai. The atmosphere here made me comfortable and relax. I spent over 2 hours there to repeat the audiobooks about Thailand. All the staffs are nice and helpful, the assist me a lot with beautiful voice. I would recommend to my friends when they travel to Bangkok.

2023.9.24 afternoon. 🏛️Museum. ⛩️Nice architecture and a beautiful front yard where young locals were picnicking and enjoy the sun. Young vibe. Where you can learn about Siam origin, history, religion, intergrated cultures and so on. 🎧Audio tour with multiple languages is available for free; just deposit your passport or ID at the information. 🚊Public transportation is available; take the Exit 1 of Sanam Chai Metro station right below the Museum of Siam. I’ll recommend 1 hour to stay. ❄️Air conditioned.

The Museum Siam, I must say, was a truly delightful experience.

It exudes a contemporary and pop vibe that sets it apart from the more traditional Museum, yet it doesn't compromise on the wealth of information it offers.

Conveniently situated right above the MRT station, it couldn't be more accessible. The staff, a friendly and amiable bunch, added to the overall positive experience.

All in all, it's a fantastic place to dive into the world of modern Thai culture and gain insights into the evolution of "Thainess."

Pretty cool museum - really nice displays and exhibits. Staff are friendly and helpful. It does get hot in the afternoon so I recommend trying to go a little earlier in the day. I think it’s cool but not a must-visit location. I could have skipped it and just visited the temples instead.

Some exhibits is interactive and throughout the Museum you get to learn more about Thai culture. They do have audio guides and lockers for people to use on the ground floor before starting on the 3rd floor. Each exhibit does have AC which was a great plus as we looked around and learned more about Thai culture. There are bathrooms and an elevator as well. There is also a show that going through Thai history that plays on the 3rd floor. In some exhibits there are like Thai school uniforms you can try on and take some pictures and another places where you can change the backdrop and have some accessories to take pictures as well on the second floor. There is a restaurant on the back of the Museum and a station right in front of it for easy access. I enjoyed the museum and while we were there it looks like they are working on another exhibit. For 100 baht it definitely was worth it and can definitely take your time learning about being Thai.

Museum Siam is Thailand's first discovery museum. Museum of Siam was designed to be a fun and interactive learning space, raising the bar for education in Thailand. This is especially true for the country's youth. It's where people can grow in self-awareness through learning about themselves, their communities, and the wider world. The goal of developing a "brand-new notion and image" of a museum in a learning society through the use of cutting-edge tools and imaginative programming is to make studying the past more engaging and pleasurable for its visitors. Main Exhibition, Special Exhibitions, and Imaginative Learning Activities Make Up the New Learning

we had an amazing time at the museum. you paid 100B for one ticket and got to see the culture of Thailand in many different ways, from the rich history, the food, the fashion to the many diverse festivals. we especially loved the room where we could play dress up in traditional Thai costumes. 5/5 recommend going.
