Located just besides the AoNang beach, Krabi Resort is the largest resort in AoNang. I would have given it a 5-star rating but there are still some areas for improvement.

Areas to Improve :

1. The resort must prepare the room well in advance before a room is being checked-in.

In our case, everything was good but, the room has a typical weird smell (which was there throughout our stay period). We even asked for a room freshener, but Room Service staff came, sprayed and took it back. What I think is that there must be room freshners in every room permanently.

There were mosquitos in the room. Again, staff must make sure that the room is free of mosquitos before someone is checking-in. But, this time, they gave us the mosquito spray to keep in our rooms.

Also, the wooden furniture/cupboard needs furnishing from time to time which resort should take care of.

2. The Lighting on the roads of the resort is not upto the mark. It's quite dark outside at night and since, you walk many times, you may encounter some insects, lizards etc. ( there were 2 small snakes in our case at different time).

Positive Points :

1. Staff / Room support is very nice.

As soon as you call the reception, the cart is there to take you to any place inside the resort.

2. We booked a Luxury Grand Room, and it was very spacious, good cupboards, and very nice bathtub.

3. The beach is just at the walking distance of 5 mins at maximum. And the view from there is amazing.

4. There are lots of eateries and stores outside the resort. So, no issue of food, drinks and connectivity.

5. Breakfast has good options and very nice. Could improve more towards Vegetarian/Vegan options.

Over-all if you want to stay in Krabi AoNang area, Krabi Resort will be one of the best options.

Krabi Tipa resort is best located, 100 meters away from beech. It looks like a heritage property. Very old, yet very elegant. Rooms are higher up on the hillocks and you are taken to the room by battery cars. Even when you have to come back, they provide a car. However one thing I did not understand was that they are asking for 2000 Baht security deposit or credit car details. I initially refused to pay because it was not mentioned anywhere in my booking. But later on my travel agent said that , it is because there are items in Minibar and you may use those. I paid, but later on when I reached my room, there was no Minibar and refrigerator was empty and except 2 bottles of water and material for 2 cups of coffee there was nothing in the room to be taken away..hahah... I did not understand this practice.

Staff however were very courteous and always helpful. I salute all the staff for their services. The infinity pool was great, but we did not use it, because it was raining for those 2 days. Breakfast was just ordinary but acceptable.
The Anantara exceeded our expectations by leaps and bounds! We had not stayed at an Anantara before but certainly will have them on our radar in the future. Every single Anantara team member we encountered was warm, welcoming and so kind! It was my wife's birthday during our stay and the number of team members who wished her happy birthday rivaled our large family back home! We could not have asked for a better experience and HIGHLY recommend a stay at an Anantara resort as you will be wowed with the attention to details and the kindness of everyone involved in the operation! Many thanks for a wonderfully memorable stay!

I have been unable to contact the reception due to a faulty telephone in my room. Despite notifying staff about the issue, it has not been resolved. I understand the resort offers a golf service to transport guests, but unfortunately, without a working telephone, I am unable to request this service. As a result, I have had to walk down whenever I wanted to access the reception.
Nice hospitality and very friendly staff. Breakfast is full of options, room and balcony are spacious and we met a new friend

The birthday surprise is also a highlight
Words cannot describe how excellent this resort was. Anantara tops all of the hotels (5-stars included) and resorts that I have been to.

Overall so well put together from the moment you are greeted by doormen to the moment you check out. The service is top notch and the welcome drink/complimentary welcome treats are extraordinary.

We had the kasara suite which included alcoholic drinks at certain times. Would highly recommend.

There are even different types of workout classes. We did the Ariel yoga with instructor Tee and she was amazing!

The koi pond next to the pool was such a nice touch. Will definitely be coming back the next time I am back in Chiang Mai. ❤️

Nice resort and friendly helpful staff. The breakfast buffet is huge, changes every day, and is delicious. The resort however could use some updating and maintenance. There was a lack of storage in our room too. Six hangers and no drawers. We just piled stuff in the bottom of the cupboard or left it in the suitcases.

Water is being charged above two bottles per day. Checkout date bottles are not given. Great rooms but a small dissatisfaction that every time we have to go buy the bottles.
A 5 star resort experience like no other. From the service to the rooms everything was perfectly planned for you. There is a huge breakfast spread serving both Chinese and western dishes.

Located on Ao Nang beach and has a private Beachfront area. The rooms were huge, especially the washroom. The surroundings are very natural and you get to hear the melodious sound of birds. We had a great time at this place as everything is very nearby. There are plenty of things to do around this area and a plethora of shops for food, clothes, and accessories.
An excellent hotel in some ways, but quite wanting in others. Excellent facilities, for example the gym, and location but the room is old and in need of an update.

Not to discredit many of the staff who actually went out of their ways to make the stay comfortable, the level of service is not quite what you would call a five star level.

For example, the hotel could not anticipate the number of guests staying resulting in a long queue at the breakfast and a long wait or when requesting for seasoning, the chef (in black) asked the guest to get it by themselves. Not to mention the mixed up in the tables during service and delayed in the food and drink delivery. Given, the breakfast spread is quite ample, the taste was not as special as the looks.

The spa and the masseurs were excellent.
Beautiful views and a really special place.
The staff are also wonderful; kind and helpful. They go out of their way to make you happy. Special thanks to the manager Ms Pookie and Op manager Mr Ford for making our stay extra special.

Gorgeous resort, perfectly located and beautiful pool villa.
The place could do with a bit of maintenance and a general spruce up but this is to be expected post-covid.
Our pool villa was lovely, lots of space and the pool was a perfect temperature. Very comfortable bed and everything you need.
Breakfast was nice, but fairly standard fare.
Despite being located just a few minutes from the main strip, the resort was quiet and tranquil.
Staff are friendly and helpful all the time.

Would definitely stay here again in the future.
Service was second to none. Every member of staff was happy, welcoming and willing to help. Outstanding room and clever layout. A building steeped in history and a great location. Food was excellent, breakfast under the tree and overlooking the river. Highly recommended. Even had the privilege of witnessing a Thai wedding. A perfect few days from which to explore Chaing Mai.
Quite place where to feel like in the jungle. Bungalows are in a little hill, so daily exercise is a good thing.
Breakfast poor, slightly pass.
The staff is friendly and helpful.
Far from feeling in a 4 Stars hotel, I did like it.
Location is so convenient.
The room is designed in Japanese-Thailand Integration style. Feel greats about the food, environment and the activities. Hotel provides yoga, kayak, paddle board for free. The hotel is great for family and couples, or friends to relax.
One of my favorite resorts. First choice when in Krabi, been here 3 times. Comfortable atmosphere. Has own private beach with easy access. Has a Thai and Italian restaurants on the property. Many types of rooms to choose from. There’s yoga class in the morning and nearby there’s a hike trail. Personally, love everything about this resort.

I would rate as a 3 star basic hotel. Choosing a room closer to the lobby is more convenient & safe.
It is walking distant to the shops & eating area. Aonang is a tourist place, you would need to bargain.
Local authentic eatery places are about 1km away from the tourist area.
Ask the local!
Wonderful location
Nice cozy resort
Room service is too slow, you make a request to clean room in the morning, make 4-5 requests throughout the day, finally someone will appear at evening.
Extremely small selection of breakfast.
Otherwise staff is friendly and a nice quiet place to stay.
Can’t say enough about how great this spot is. Away from the crazy crowds on other beaches in Krabi, quiet, clean, tasteful and unique architecture and design, diligent and friendly staff, a-plus view, a-plus amenities. The brunch is what I’ll be back for most though. The restaurant and bar are a bit overpriced and overrated but that’s sort of too be expected and they’re still really solid. You’ll get better food at a local spot down the road but if you never want to leave the resort - you won’t be disappointed either.
A great hotel overall. The staff is immensely help-full and kind. They ensure your stay is pleasant and are ensuring you have a great stay. The hotel offers a variety of activities to do (yoga, thai box classes and boat trips). The location is really to look for peace, not party or buzz. There is a taxi service that they offer and it takes you approximately 20-25 min if you want to get more in a rural area. Great place and enjoying my stay as we speak!
Very nice view good location good variety and activities everything perfect

Loved this place. Possibly the best place I stayed in my six week trip. The staff were friendly, would even drive you up the hill in the electric golf buggy if you were feeling lazy. The only down side is that it is an eco lodge, so designed around using less electricity which is great in theory, but goodness gracious, if there is no wind it is ridiculously hot in the lobby and restaurant. The view from the top pool is simply awesome, and is a thoroughly recommended sunset cocktail location.
Good food and good service. This resort provides Thai and Italian restaurants, both of them are delicious, not to mention the breakfast. The homemade French toast and pancakes are the best. It has beach and swimming pool, very relaxing. Definitely will come back again

Very nice resort! Staff are very friendly, service is excellent! We stayed in the River cabins and it was very peaceful and cool. We floated down the River Kwai and swam in the river pool which was very refreshing and exciting. If you want to experience an authentic Thai resort with impeccable service, Baan Rim Kwai Paerimnam Co. (River Kwai Jungle House) is the place for you!
I'm back at this amazing Chiang Mai resort for the fourth time!

When I'm in Chiang Mai, Anantara Resort is my number one pick for "a place to stay". No matter if I'm here on business or for fun, this place never disappoints.

It's right on the Ping River. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed, and best of all, all rooms have amazing river views!

Breakfast here is one of the best in town (in my opinion), and there's a variety of Western and Thai options. Their Lanna Omelet is so good. Try their signature Lanna omelet if you want a taste of fusion-style northern food.

This is a great place to stay if you're looking for a weekend getaway or a delightful business trip in Chiang Mai. I would definitely stay here again if I'm in Chiang Mai next time.

Stella job! Anantara Chiang Mai team!

The location is great. The breakfast is mediocre at best. The rooms are tatty and need refurbishment. There is corrosion and calcification on all taps and showers causing them to malfunction. Lots of small things not working properly. Not much lighting at night which makes it dangerous when returning in the evening due to tripping or falling. No fans in the restaurant at breakfast which means you're sweating over your breakfast. Staff were great. Helpful and friendly. Overall okay. Not a great experience buy not bad either. 6/10.
Hidden Gem and enjoyed our stay here. X2 pools and well looked after.
Would recommend this resort.

Overcharged for a second bed in one room our party of x4 rooms and x8 guests, when included in our booking.

Customer service over this matter was terrible and they acted like they were money grabbing.

One star on this service because of this.

Beware of overcharging at check in....

Great location, great rooms, great service! The hotel was clean, the breakfast was yummy, and the staff was very helpful! Airport transfers out of the lobby so take advantage. On the beach with 2 pools, which was so nice! Towels and chairs are available at both ocean and pool, which was awesome! I would definitely come back! The street it was located on was great to find food and shop on!
Best resort I've stayed at. The space is charming and well kept. Staff is friendly and helpful. The food at the restaurant was just delicious. Bonus point of having a vegetarian menu! Free yoga sessions and guided hiking too. Little things like providing us hotel's own remedy of mosquito spray and tiger balm were very thoughtful. And the hotel has the best sunset view. Will stay there again if we ever go back to Krabi 👍🏼
What an absolutely lovely hotel which is, almost impossible to fault.
From the lovely lobby area to each room to store shoes, the beautiful gardens and river front restaurant. Breakfast was superb with a great selection of fresh dishes each day. Location is super, just within easy reach of restaurants and markets.
Our room was beautifully appointed with sofas and loungers on the balcony (OK, we did go for a river view suite, read further for caution here).
The staff were amongst the most friendly and helpful I've ever encountered.
Now the caution, there are 2 very noisy restaurant/clubs next door which play loud music until midnight. Because of this, our peaceful river view suite was anything but! Just choose your room carefully!
Good place to stay. A different experience altogether
The room is fantastic on the water
If you find the view of Burma railway, a rail line. I recommend this hotel!
Beautiful but due to Covid non operational

Excellent, large room with private pool, the only property with beach access at Ao Nang - and it’s beautiful. The hospitality was fine but nothing to write home about, and at the price we paid, that bit could use a slight improvement.
Nice view from room, staff are friendly
Settings is ok. Staff are very friendly. No pool!!!! Limited activities. Anyway good to try.
