Unfortunately I had to come here for a funeral. Beautiful church, and a very compassionate priest. Even as a person of no faith, and with a foreigners grasp of Ukrainian, the setting and service was emotional and memorable.

I know that it’s Orthodox Easter, but slamming on the bells between the hours of 1 and 3 in the morning is pretty ridiculous noise pollution for all the residents in the area who aren’t members of the church. Doesn’t seem necessary to me.

For all of the years I've been a funeral director serving the Orthodox Communities of LA and Orange Counties, I had never heard about or been to St Mark's. It reminds me of a country church but located in a sprawling city. The iconography is the same as most other churches. The chanting is also very similar. I felt at home, even under the circumstances that brought me there.
Fr. George and the deacon, as well as the second priest, were so welcoming and gracious when answering any question my assistant and I asked.

Inquisitive architecture.. birds outside are cute. The bells are kinda annoying, reminds me of my very religious high school where they ring dinged the chapel bells almost every day

I live in Montreal, Quebec and follow this Church's services. Fr Pandeleimon is absolutely wonderful. He speaks to everyone with such kindness and love, and when he addresses the children, you feel like God Himself is speaking through him.

Not sure which church you are referring to; I was at the Orthodox Church on Lee Street in Des Plaines, very prayerful and many people were attending.
Bingo is wonderful!
This church rented my camp for a youth retreat and never paid the bill. I’ve found out from other Christian retreat centers that we aren’t the first to experience this organization’s “dine and dash”. I’m left wondering, do you practice what you preach? I’ve left tens of voicemails and quite a few emails. I find it hard to believe that you don’t know that you’ve stolen from us, and others. Do you really believe in Jesus, or are you just fooling people in order to collect their money?
Enjoyed a beautiful Christmas concert there. People were friendly and welcoming.

My Mom passed away and Pastor Bogdan performed service for her. I don't think I ever heard a speech that was simple and full of wisdom as a natural flow that surrounded everyone in a room.

Always Love their festival. A regular attendee of this festivity. Have been taking full advantage of their YAYA's attic (flea market). The best thing is you get high end products at a cheap rate. Friendly and inclusive attitudes. You never feel an outsider when attending their festival.

Beautiful church. Went there for the first time to listen to a Christmas comcert. The choir was excellent. The only thing was the smell of all the incense, it was overpowering

A great example of what Eastern Christianity can offer the western world. The liturgy is in English, as is the tradition of the Rite. Yes, we are not in the Ukraine, Russia or Greece. Vernacular has always been the tradition of the East. Wake up..

I've been a member since 2000. The parish is very warm, spiritual, and focused on helping those less fortunate. Services are conducted in English unlike other Orthodox parishes on Long Island.
