We can't say enough about Montessori Academy. Our son has grown and developed in so many ways since starting there. The staff and teachers are very understanding, compassionate, and have helped build confidence in our son. He loves going to school everyday! As a former educator (and mom), I would highly recommend Montessori Academy.

My son has been attending since July of 2024 and we have absolutely loved it. His teachers have been kind and friendly, the principal is fantastic, and I know he’s well taken care of, happy, and is learning so much. I’m so grateful to all the staff for the work they put in to provide excellent care and education for these kiddos

My daughter started coming here when she was 18 months and she loves it! They have such a great program that is very stimulating and so helpful in kids growth. They work on speech and other developmental milestones and do lots of crafts. She was shy and nervous for the first week or so since this was her first daycare experience, but she quickly transitioned into running into class to hug her teacher or play with friends. She is excited every day to get dropped off. The staff is all amazing and so caring towards the kids. I feel confident every day that I’m leaving my daughter with professionals that take such care in their work.

This school has been a great place for my twins ever since we have been enrolled. Their staff is kind and my kids seem to genuinely enjoy and interact with not only the teachers, but the entire administrative team. My kids seem to always come home mentally stimulated and happy. The new principal Michelle is always willing to listen and provide feedback. Highly recommend!
This past Spring, my husband and I decided to transition our daughter from an in-home provider (a SAHM who was watching our daughter along with her two older children) into a daycare/preschool setting. We wanted to give our daughter the opportunity to learn to socialize with children who are in the same developmental stage as her, as well as the opportunity to focus on appropriate learning milestones. We researched, toured, and spoke with most of the local daycares/preschools in our area, and none of them felt quite right until we stumbled onto the Montessori Academy. From the moment we walked into the school, we knew we had found our school. The facility is light and bright, extremely clean, and smells wonderful. In addition, the new school principal, Michelle, was a breath of fresh air! We showed up unannounced to inquire about the school, and she gave us a tour on the spot. I really appreciated this because I felt like the teachers and staff weren’t expecting a tour, so we really got to see what a “normal” day looks like. All the staff were so welcoming, and all the kids were smiling and really seemed to be enjoying themselves.

During the tour we discussed the curriculum, available extracurricular activities, classroom ratios, staff requirements, safety and security protocols, etc. I really liked Michelle’s hands-on approach with the staff and her obvious passion to provide her students with the best possible education through continued staff training and development.

We’ve been enrolled at Montessori Academy for about 4 months now, and we are loving it! The teachers, front desk staff, and administration are truly top notch. The staff regularly communicates with parents, and the administration is very approachable to hearing parents’ concerns or answering questions. In fact, they seek feedback about how the school can continue to improve and actually implement the feedback they receive!

Shortly after starting school, our daughter had a small adjustment period (totally expected). During this time, everyone was extremely patient, understanding, kind, and caring with her. Fast forward a few weeks and she is now all smiles and giggles when she sees her teachers in the morning! Not a week goes by that her teachers are not working to help her achieve a new skill or giving us reports about something new she is consistently achieving. Oh, and did I mention that she comes home in the best of moods?! She is truly flourishing, and we are so very happy! Knowing our little one is enjoying her school thanks to a great staff, makes going to work every day a little bit easier on this mama and daddy!

If you’re looking for more than just a daycare (i.e., babysitters), this is your school.

Excellent place for kids. Montessori in general, and this school specifically are a great place for kids to get started on I dependent learning.

It's done wonders for our kids and created strong, curious learners. It's something that will serve them for a long time.

The front desk staff at this school are so inconsiderate. My 4 year old son and I spent almost an hour in the office being extremely patient as they made copies and the front desk people told my son how fun it will be when he goes to that school knowing THE WHOLE TIME that there were no spots in pre k at that school. They told us after we waited an hour that he would not be going to that school and possibly not to pre k at all this school year. I had to go home and break my sons heart as he has been excited about school for months now. I understand that things fill up but disclose the information right away.

Worse school ever. I wish I could give this school 0 stars. All they care about is money. They just want money and the teachers are rude to my sister. They don't care about special needs students, the staff yell at the children. Awful school in general.

Horrible experience my son does not like to fight but has had too this whole school year from being spit in to me picking him up with a busted lip most the time the school won’t even tell you something happened the kids who bully don’t get held accountable there are no consequences because they don’t want to have to document it ! It brings there numbers down the teacher let the kids fight and bully and it’s ok with them I wish I would have never sent my son here they definitely didn’t not have my sons best interest at heart at all he’s so angry and this school made him like this frm not having his back and letting these things go on one teacher called my son dude they are so unprofessional makes yu wanna stoop to there level and bully them
Divine Academy has been life changing for my son and our family. I was so unhappy with the public school system. Im so glad I found Divine Academy. They have great teachers and staff that care so much for the children. My son feels safe and protected in this school. There is no fear of bullying or stereotyping because everyone there is seen as equal. The administration is amazing and so helpful. Their doors are always open. The staff is beyond exceptional. They are there to help your child succeed. And their new facility is beautiful. I would highly recommend Divine Academy to any parent with a child that has special needs. You won't regret it.

Divine Academy is a wonderful school! I was desperate to find the perfect setting for my son with Autism who is able to handle academics but his anxiety kept him from being a part of a mainstream setting. Divine Academy offers everything we have ever hoped for. The teachers and staff love the students and challenge them appropriately every day. Their new building offers all of the resources that every student needs as well as the opportunity to be outside, play sports, participate in extracurricular activities and life skills programs. We love Divine Academy!

Our son has been in this school for over a year and he is very happy to be part of it. The teachers are very kind, and treat the students with dignity. We are also very satisfied with the services provided by the school. Thank you for the incredible work you do!

I have 2 children with Autism on opposite ends of the spectrum. They have both been with Divine for 6 years and are thriving! Divine offers wonderful specials, amazing facilities, life skills, social skills, leadership skills, and after school clubs! Both of my children have advanced academically since they've been with Divine and they truly love going to school!

The school was fine I’ve been there from pre-k all the way to third. I met amazing teachers and fun students I really saw no problem since I was younger. I was in a Girl Scouts program all we did was eat lunch and talk together about stuff and draw i don’t know. It’s a ok school though.

Fantastic school that specializes in providing need based learning for children with disabilities. Small classrooms equal a higher quality education. Everyone deserves the same education. Divine Academy holds that ideal closely.

We have had a wonderful experience with our now 2 year old daughter. What a blessing to send her to this excellent staff and facility each day! Of all the things we'll miss when we move, this tops the list!

Was not impressed with the "behind the scenes" regarding parents and teachers. this place is Cold and has a depressing atmosphere with no fun pictures of art of any kind allowed on the walls to be displayed. There is zero color of any kind. Everything down to the toys are the same wood color..Kids pretty much have nothing but puzzles to play with all day. This place sets kids up to fail when they go to a real school. Outrageously over priced for a daycare trying to act like a "fancy private school".

the staff are so mean like the pre k teacher ms klein she is mean oh and i go here im not going to tell you my name
We moved to the Newtown area from the UK and needed a school for our children. After viewing many schools in the area St. Andrew seemed like the best fit for us. All the staff seem to care about our children and there is a great community feeling at the school.

We have been made to feel very welcome and St. Andrew's staff and families have at times gone out of their way to accommodate our busy lifestyle.

Both our children are really enjoying going to the school and are developing into nice well rounded children. I would highly recommend the school to other prospective families.

When I went here it was so fun, when ever I needed help I always got no matter what it was and I always had someone to talk to if I needed it, I'm going to miss this school as I head on to high school now , my 5th grade teachers and my 4th grade teacher was the BEST , ms.ledl ,ms. Weinberg and my forth grade teacher ms. F( I forgot how to spell her name) but overall I had a good time all 7 years was fun and I was always busy wether it was outside of school or in side of school, so if you want to know where to send ya children I really recommend you send you child to HALSTEAD. And I'm saying this as of if there former students ..... CLASS OF '14 was awesom
Great school with excellent Faculty and Staff. A strong, loving community where kids can truly flourish. Highly recommend.

Divine Academy is an outstanding school for those who need better structure, better learning skills and how to become better individuals. Divine Academy is the school for your children who have difficulty learning the basic reading and math to enhance their motor skills. I highly recommend this school to those that say you "cannot" get your child to learn to read and write. Divine Academy can prove them wrong.

It was Hillendale Elementary school when I went there. I imagine it's as good now as when I was there in the 70's.
This school is above and beyond any expectation. My son went to the pre-k and learned a lot through the different activities proposed by the teachers! They were able to understand his needs and give him a good education.

When my daughter came in we discovered she had multiple learning disorders and struggled really bad with reading and math. The IEP team did a great job with helping my child catch up. The school staff In general have done a fantastic job. I know each experience is unique but I can't understand why anyone would give this place less than 5 stars. The security measure to protect the students, the cameras are crystal clear (which is surprising) and adults regardless of your relation to children are required to have ID I am not only happy with halstead but feel my child is safe....minus the end of the school day with older kids which seem like high school kids or something, I'm not sure if there is a rec center of another building entirely where they come from, but they negatively influence the children in my opinion.
A loving, Catholic environment that truly teaches and expects excellence from the students, teachers and parents. We are so blessed to have it available for our family.
