Very impressive and informative. I was extremely impressed with the total facility and programs offered.
The Boys and girls club use to be great to deal with! Now, not so good. You call the # which prompts you to email, they answer you back a few months later...how professional is that!?... There's always some excuse........

I’ve gone to them for three years and this year they’ve decided to implement a “strict uniform policy”. My son attended a session and had the shirt but wore the wrong black shorts. I was told he could not participate and that he would have to stand on the side. He is only 5 years old. I refused to have him sit since that would embarrass him. I asked if they could give me a pass for this time only and was told no. Staff said they felt “threatened by me”. I called them and my son was actually uninvited from the program. What a way to treat children. Horrible professionalism. They sure didn’t have a problem taking my money…
The food was bad
Had a chance to tour the second floor of the Citrus Girl Scouts building. It is truly inspiring.

My kid wore an old jersey and they made my kid sat out the entire hour session because of the new policy that requires kids to wear the correct jersey. I understand if it's a tournament, but for a lesson session? and not even a one time exception?

Great camp that has a balance of professionalism, skill development and overall fun. My brother really enjoyed his experience.
The new Women's History and Cultural Center is amazing!!
Best camp ever! This camp was well organized and welcoming to all levels and personalities. The coaches were outstanding! My son is new to bball and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I would highly recommend this program!
Horrible work environment do not work here they treat the workers like slaves and the supervisors are on a power trip. Serious narcissist behavior. Unprofessional and young untrained staff members that try create friction amongst other employees. Do not waste your money at this camp that can’t even afford cool trips or buses to take your kids to these trips.
My two boys enjoyed the camp, coaching and all that they learned. They've already requested to go back again next year.
My son attended the Miramar Basketball Camp with a couple of his friends. They all had a blast throughout the week. The feedback from the kids sounded like it was a great balance of development, competition, and fun.
So happy I found this camp! It was my sons first time here and he loved it. Focused on getting better with his left handed skills. Definitely will be back!
My 6 year old twins just finished two days of summer camp. They loved the counselors and really enjoyed playing all different types of sports. They have been to many other day camps in NYC during mini school breaks and over the summer and this was their favorite. Communication is also quite speedy and efficient. Also very accommodating rein of shine. Highly recommend.

I enrolled my child for the outdoor camp on June 8 and 9 on Kidpass.

I haven't heard of change of schedule or location for the camps through emails, text or calls, despite of phone calls I made days before enquiring changes of locations.

On the day (June 8), I had to wait past 9 am, which was the camp start time, for a staff member of Fastbreak Kids to answer the phone call. I was told then that my child was not enrolled, which I found out in the afternoon because I did not mention 'Kidpass'. Consequently, this mistake brought substantial disruptions to our work schedules.

I train here twice a week, and the two coaches I work with are some of the nicest people ever. They’re very chill and respectful, and ALWAYS push me to be the best that I can be.
My child said that in mr caws class he played fortnite and let us play on our ipads and phones and she also said that a girl teacher shared her phone for my child to play roblox. She loves acting class playing the poison dart game.

By far the best youth basketball program I know. I send my 5 year old, Miles here. He’s having so much fun and their coaches teach real good fundamental skills. Highly recommend!
Please do not send your children here. My child was beaten and hurt by a high schooler while he is only 11 years old. None of the staff was able to give us an explanation on the situation. This was a program that was offered to us by B&G club. Definitely don’t recommend this place and he will never be going back.
Worst work environment ever. If I could give less than 1 star I would. Too much secrecy and favoritism. They hire you on the first day and act like they want people to work there but inquire about your schedule or even when you're getting paid and you'll get fired. And I still didn't get paid for the days I worked despite being told over and over again that "someone" would call me. A lot of the staff are also untrained younger people so that the director (a major narcissist) can remain unchallenged in his domain. Do not waste your money and send your children here.

Playing in the 4v4 league is super fun. It’s a high level of play while also allowing for a fair chance for other kids. It’s a very good mix and I am excited for next season
I went to Boys & Girls Club of Metro Queens when I was a kid and I can’t get enough of the great experiences I had. This place was my second home. I will forever keep all the staff and friends I connected with in my heart and prayers. I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart, I am thankful, grateful and blessed to be part of growing up with the staff at Boy & Girls Club of Metro Queens. Love you all family.
I went see a Pro Am basketball game. Limited seated, no bleachers. Parking is not ideal. We found a spot, however it felt like we had to walk from Brooklyn. I'm sure the rest of the facility is good, not the best place to watch a Pro Am caliber game. The home team (Team Asia) with their gorgeous coach won. Good for them, well deserved and well coached.
They advertise so many interesting classes for the teen tech summer program but don't follow through with any.
My camper says the only thing they do is go on the computer.
Could have stayed home for that.

What do you all do with these teens for 8 hours?
I had an horrible experience with this summer program. The lack of compassion and attentiveness towards my four year old child was disgusting. My child would come home everyday saying she’s thirsty and hungry. She was placed on the wrong bus before without my knowledge. I contacted the staff regarding all issues and I was basically ignored and pushed to the side. I’m disappointed with this location and I wouldn’t bring my child back or recommend this center to anyone.
Not for sure about this office. But the one on S. Cleveland Manager is something. She thinks she is not touchable and can talk to you as she pleases. I know this is not the first time it has been done. Only that I respect people and I would like the same respect. Not bullied around by a manager a thrift store. I have donated for years a lot. My friends as well. As of June 29 2022 No more!!!!!! I was charged for a purse they had told me it was 19.99 with 50% off. Could not find a price. I got home my friend looked inside it said 8.99. So I called explained it what I had discovered in finding a sticker in the purse pocket. The same lady is the one said she priced that purse or 19.99. When I arrived back at the store to show the price tag to the manager. She looked found the sticker and replied to me you did agree to pay the 19.99 didn't you? This was repeated!!!!
I said yes at the time. Because, I had no clue how much it was. The manager was very condescending. When I said that I would call someone over her. She replied that I would still have to talk to her. She is the one. I then called the Cape Coral office left a message with that manager. In which never returned my call. He is suppose to be the one over both stores. How ever you look at this it is the store stealing from me.
I know no one would had thought twice about dropping it. I am not ..... She flat said I agreed to the amount there for she is not giving a refund..
NOT A HAPPY CAMPER

Our boys have done several sports programs and camps through Fastbreak. The coaches are positive, fun, energetic and build really good relationships with the kids. Chris and the crew run an amazing flag football league. Highly recommend Fastbreak.
My 6 yo granddaughter loves this place! Art, swim dance among other school work and fun activities offered. I am grateful.
Visited from out of town and absolutely Love this shop. The lady was so friendly and helpful
Waste of money, dont bring your kids here if you have morals. Even the staff dont care about the kids. Directors in charge gaslight and only care about their own reputations. Kids there Arent treated well. I worked for them during the summer and I can say they made me question my ability to watch a kid in a gym when My eyes were glued to them the whole time. They make excuses and they don’t even let a counselor try to help take care of a kid. They plan trips in 90+ weather and make the kids walk through this heat.. and then they blame me and my group for trying to give our attention to the kids as if they are slaves. I’d give it -1 stars if I could.

I took my 9 yr old step son here during the mid winter break to help him improve his understanding of basketball and what it's like to play in a game with his peers (he has only had 1 hr simple skills training, once a week, for 5 months). I am very happy with how they taught him, even if he was only able to attend for 3 days, he improved in such a short amount of time. My step son is shy and even so, he loved going to Elite Skills to learn and play.

The coaches knew how to teach basketball to youth, and that's important than just knowing basketball, especially for younger kids.

It's a great program for beginners, but after watching a few minutes of the older kids playing, it's a great program for more experienced youth as well.
Staff is nice, well run. Gary Greenburg & staff are doing an AWESOME job w/ the kids
The shop looks great and everyone is so helpful. They have everything you need and more. If they don't have it, they'll order it.
Listen I go there lunch trash sorry but it's the truth most of the staff are rude I hate going there I don't like going.
I’ve went there 2 years ago and playing tag a kid pushed me down and both knees were opened up a lot of blood no one called my parents or anyone. The trips your supposed to go on they didn’t have all of the trips. It was a waste of money and the children and adults were very rude. Not good at all.
Most awesome church. You can tell the Lord is there because He was Invited with devoted Heart's
Best staff ever. Very affordable and willing to help families when struggling. Staff are committed to helping the youth's of our community grow.
Love the Boys and Girls club of Westfield. I have one kid on him 7th year there and 2 on there 4th. Could not ask for a better before and after school care plus a great summer program. Thank you so much to the amazing staff.
A great organization. Our daughter has been an active member since she was five (5) years old and currently she's in high school. As a mom and our family, we all have been an active part of Girl Scouts. I say this is a good way for family to get involve and have quality time together.
Place is great for droping off your children to have fun as well as providing a summer employment program for teenagers I would recommend all ages to take a Gander at the place when you have time

The training program is fun and well organized. The couch and assistants are friendly and patient. I wish my son would grow faster and got into the next level.
Great facility for the children of the community. I am currently visiting for a three day training and both the spacing AND aesthetics of the building are quite amazing! The employees are friendly also. If I had to complain, it would be that there's a lack of parking....other than that, if I lived in the neighborhood, I'd frequent this location whether I had children or not!
I exsperienced racism and was treated like a prisoner. i was in the medical unit and the director and the nurse are the most evil people ive met in my life!!!! 2400 edison ave. they have it set up so i couldnt post my review on there. Bed bugs people sneaking alcohol in the place even smoking ciggerettes in the building. I promise to God im not lying and after they kicked me out for doing the right thing going out side and smoking. they kicked me out while I was waiting to see a surgeon for a pulled peculiar muscle and a torn wall muscle in my chest. Mercedez Pena is the only person that really cared for me. The nurse Linda nit picked at me since I arrived and Jacquelyn Kelly is the Director just evil people indeed pure devils with no feelings!!! Doing the most bad and Ive lost total faith in the salvation army as a non profit organization. I tried to contact her boss Tony and he would't return my calls same goes for him no good. Linda had the audacity to offer me a all day bus pass after throwing me out with all my things where i sat in tears on they're property till a ride came and helped me. So a friend sent for me in Orlando where I can possibly find a surgeon to repair my chest muscle. I will be contacting a lawyer for the mental anguish I exsperienced. I don't even want no money i simply want the location at 2400 edison ave closed down because they are treating the elderly and people of color worse then animals. My right hand to the Most high God my statements are true!
Variety Boys and Girls Club offers the best swimming classes around. We tried other classes in Astoria and none compare to the price, teachers, results at Variety Boys and Girls Cub. Our daughter started lessons when she was 4 and can now swim all by herself. The classes are held throughout the year (with 2 week breaks in between sessions). There is a structured lesson plan for the classes and sessions. All children are evaluated at the end of each session. The staff and teachers are really supportive. I highly recommend this place for lessons.
Great place for children to get off the streets. They offer cooking , karate, basketball, and other arts and Crafts. My granddaughters never want to go home .
They are open when the children are out of school on Holidays. Offer meals and snacks and take the children on field trips. Around Christmas time, they give the children gifts and treat them to a shopping spree at Walmart.
The staff are very good to the children and have their best interest at heart at all times .
the boys and girls is a place you go to get beat up.When I went to boys and girls they kickt me in the stomach and punch me in the face and I started to bleed. If you ever go do not be friends with Angel,Ethan,Victoria, kettlen, and adien. These kids will beat you up and get you kicked out my friend left because the kids that I menchend called him gay because of the way he dressed
The staff hereare absolutely amazing! Everyday they treat kids with kindness and fuel the fire to their unique talents! The boys and girls club has so much to provide and it has wonderful afterschool activities!
I can feel God's presence when there. I have been to a lot of different places of worship but this place is home. Praise God.
My son has attended 2 Summer Camps and 1 year of Afterschool, I can tell you that Variety is a jewel. Variety has a great "variety" of programs.
The Afterschool program is outstanding and my son really looks forward to coding, robotics and cooking. Most of all he likes that he has choices as to which "club" he can attend and, to him, it doesn't feel like he's in school. The staff creates a very warm and caring environment. The kids are respected. I could go on and on...Thank you Variety!
The BEST after school program/summer camp in Queens! My 10 year old has been in 4 different programs, she was not happy in any place other than The Variety Boys & Girls Club of Queens. The staff is friendly & knowledgeable, they offer a mass variety of programs. The summer camp is jam packed full of exciting trips, activities & swimming too! They offer all of this for a fraction of other school programs. Keep up the good work and a big thanks to the staff for being so awesome!

Fast Break is amazing! Fun, professional and full of energy. The coaches are the best I’ve seen in any AfterSchool class. They bring out the best in the kids. Coach Roy makes my kid believe in himself and all the other coaches are just amazing at what they do best... play basketball! We recommend it 100%
These folks are amazing! I never worry when my daughter is there. Their art director is pretty awesome too! So glad that the Boys and Girls Club is right here in the town I live in!
Staff and store are great. Store organization is excellent as our the staff. My only compliant is the distance from my home very long drive and store could be open better longer hours.

My Child has been with Elite Skills since he was 3, He is now 7 an well on his way to being the Elite player. Seth and Todd do an outstanding job Motivating the kids ensuring they know the drills, an the fundamentals of basketball. Another great thing About Elite Skills is they hold such events as NBA Games, NBA High Five Line, an NBA court of dreams which leaves a lasting impression on the kids. I personally Drive 2 an a half hours every week and will continue until my child reaches his dream of the NBA.

In three training sessions with Seth at Elite Skills, ive seen my son's skills improve. More importantly, Ive seen his understanding of the game improve, thus his confidence on the court has increased three-fold. 2 thumbs up. Five stars for sure.
I visited the Salvation Army because it was going to be an extremely cold night and I felt the need to do something to help. I had gone to Target and bought about 12 or 13 think, warm blankets for adults and children and brought them to help.
If more of us could do more to help others who are not as fortunate as we, a lot of goodness and positive energy would be sent out. This is a very different country and world than the one in which I grew up. More are needing help in the form of food, shelter, just someone to talk to to care, than ever before. The Salvation Army fills some of those needs.
Fantastic organization who helps countless individuals and families in our area. From the kettle donations to the angel tree, a shelter and food drives they do a lot of good in the community!
My little girl detested it out of boredom, inexperienced staffing and poor planning. The trips once a week was it's saving grace. Couldn't even get my refund in full! A total rip off.
Had an amazing time at their college fair, will be back in the years to come.

I thought I reviewed this place the last time I was here. Lets see, friendly and knowledgeable staff, well laid out store, everything you need, some stuff you don't need but want anyway. yes this Girl Scout shop has all of that. As a parent with a dual registered Juliette I can honestly say that I know for sure that this is among the best Girl Scout shops.
Welcoming to a heart that is after God despite past allowing the opportunity to grow In Jesus name, along with Family, friends and members.
Conviniently located; wonderful staff, the store is very well organized & very well stocked. Immediately as we set foot in we were treated like family and felt welcome. Definitely a store to go for all your Girl Scouts needs.
My son has attended both after school and summer camp at the Club and he LOVES it. The new team has made tons of even MORE positive changes this year. The day to day offers more variety (mini camps each day for the kids to choose from) and of course the indoor pool has been renovated and is gorgeous.
The Admin is super organized and communication with parents has never been better. So happy to be part of this amazing organization that is a shining star in our community.
Clean and bright facility. I play Zog Sports here every week and have no complaints!
Dear Sir or Madame

My husband and I took 3 bags of clothing etc to your depot today. When we arrived a pleasant young man with braids meet us and told us we're we could unload our donations. There we met an older gentleman who never greeted us, spoke to us or even said thanks. We realize the weather is warm, but we drove a distance and prior to that I washed and ironed all the donations. It is to bad when your organization does such good work that one individual could taint future donations. We will continue to donate, but possibly at different location.
I have 2 children, and close to no money most of the time. Without the boys and girls club I would have to choose between school and work-they let me have both. Is it perfect? Nothing ever is. Behavior issues arise, but then again, take a look at the headcount! Considering not only the shear number of children in attendance, but also the organizations willingness to work with families in crisis they keep things commendably under control. The staff is always willing to take time out to talk with me, and most if not all of them know my name in addition to the names of children. This is not only one of my favorite non-profits in the area, it is also a service that I reccomend to other parents.
