The guy behind the counter was extremely rude and tried to tell me the Byrna non lethal gun was illegal in NY and then tried to push me to buy a real gun. I do not recommend coming here. If you are female and looking for a less lethal or non lethal self defense weapon, I recommend going to Guardian in Deer Park. My recommendation for management is have your employees be more educated on the factual gun laws for all lethality levels.

My 11-year old and I went for shooting some bullets (the boy wants to become the next American Sniper - God Bless America and its snipers). We had a blast - my boy got free lessons from an amazing Range Officer (pls be patient as each officer here is kind but did not want to be too imposing - I wish I had sought help earlier). One gentleman who spent a lot of time with my boy apologies sir for not getting your name - the shotgun next to our booth was not conducive for a friendly chat (skinny, tall, funny, friendly, a competitive shooter, ex- NYC cop and trainer) was an excellent teacher. This place is awesome .. trains you to use firearms in a safe, friendly, defensive manner with full respect to everyone around you. This was so much fun - thanks guys .. I gotta buy my next rifle (Springfield .30-06) and ammo (it is expensive) from your place as I saw an amazing collection). Peace and thanks for your kindness. May god bless us all- Dee

The people working here obviously care about their customers. They actually told me not to waste my money on certain bait since it wasn’t working at the time. Also needed to buy a new net while I was in the area and they had very reasonable prices I felt on those.

First time at a gun range in years, took the class to refresh. Gene was great, very thorough in explaining everything. My friend and I went on a Wednesday, which is ladies day (no lane fee) and had a blast. Will definitely be going back to shoot different guns.

Took the son for his birthday on Saturday. Upon walking in I see a larger group signing in to the range so we head left to look at the guns. The dudes working over there were cool even after I told then I wasn't buying. After I saw the group about ready to head into the range I mosied over that way. One of the girls noticed me hanging around and handed me the range paper work. Joseph was going over handling and safety with the group while I was doing the paper work. When it came time for gun selection I casually mention this is a first for the son but he wanted to shoot something cool. Joseph gave some good advice on selection and we chose the MP5. Wise choice. It was a fantastic experience. Had 1 mishap in the range and Joseph was on top of it. Son didn't seat the mag fully. Huge thanks to Joseph for being cool as a fan and everyone else for being welcoming to new shooters! 11/10

Very professional and well equipped/Stocked gunrange. Loved the reception and guidance of their employees. They have a large selection rental hand guns and rifles (machine guns).

As a foreigner I got a good instruction and introduction and rented two hand guns and a M16. I loved the experience and if you are traveling and you are in Houston and love the experience of firing some weapons, this is the place to be.

It was our first time shooting and Joseph did an excellent job in making us feel confident. He made our experience enjoyable and we are grateful for his service.

Went to take the introductory course, and Joe was such an awesome instructor. Plus they have a really nice range. They also have a nice selection of rentals and they have a pretty big selection to buy from as well. If you visit, do ask for Joe.

Nice place to try the gun if u never experienced it before. The trainer Rene is friendly and patient. He guides is super clear and easy to follow.

It was my second time there but this time I wanted to try the handgun and I needed a small class for that. Rene helped us during the whole process and he was an amazing instructor! I had a great time and cannot wait to come back again.

A- experience. Rene was extremely helpful and friendly. Range was clean and shooting experience was great, also had relatively nice earmuffs included compared to the standard ear plugs other ranges give you. My 1 complaint is not being able to switch out similar guns, such as being able to switch handguns. Not the biggest issue by any means, but I do feel its a nice positive that other gun ranges do offer.

This was my first time going to the gun range and I'm looking forward to coming back! I took a safety and handling course, with instructor Rene H., who was super knowledgeable and patient. I would totally recommend Top Gun.

They were so helpful! We needed a new blind since our back window one broke. They had it at the store and also helped with a bathroom blind and propane holder. Prices are decent and don't overcharge. Place is east to find and have a lot of icehouses for sale out front. Would recommend!

I'll start off by saying that this is a super cool store and worth checking out. Having said that, I'm used to going to Army Navy Surplus for bargains. The prices here are outrageous. $89 for a VERY used wool sweater? $25 for a hat? If $$$ is not an issue for you and you want to support a local business, I recommend checking it out. Otherwise, you're probably better off online.

What a wonderful local Cle Elum and Kittitas store. Awesome product selection and super knowledgeable owner. I really appreciated her excellent advice. I’m disappointed to read some of the reviews dinging them for doing their job during the mask mandate. Everyone can have their own opinions on that, but no one should ding this business for following state law. That’s just not fair. This is a solid five (six) star business with kind people who really care.

Let’s start off saying that we have purchased multiple new ice castles from different dealerships and every experience was a total joke ! ! Until we met Hendri the big kahuna at Smokey hills early spring this year. From start to finish nothing but professional and knowledgeable about our vision of a new house . Hendri was a huge help and had great ideas especially if you’re building something custom . From phone calls to the non stop emails they kept us in the loop on our build . Chase Outdoors was recommended to me by another reputable Wausau area business when I inquired about the best place to buy archery equipment. I was not disappointed!
I stopped once as a general scouting mission to see if I liked the vibe and to see how they treated customers. The team members there were friendly and attentive.

Two days later I drove back down to buy a bow. (They had an awesome deal running on the Hoyt RX-7)

The owner, Justin, helped me get completely set up. It had been about 15 years since my last bow purchase, and he was patient and extremely knowledgeable, as he went step by step through the whole process.

Chase is a bit of a drive for me but totally worth it. The big box stores have lost the personal touch. Chase Outdoors has it in spades.

Mike in service was fantastic to work with. Seemed he was more interested in selling us a new house than Brandon in sales was. I will say as we looked Brandon got a little better. Left my contact info as he could not provide pricing on any of the houses we looked at. Also spoke about internal company problems with past employees and customers. We spent $28k just 10 months ago and were treated like second class citizens by the sales team. We will probably go some where else from now on.

I used to love shopping at this place cause I would get a bunch of great deals, But! It seems like some of the newer employees don't care recently went in their to buy a Glock 20 and I asked one of the guys if they would price match Cabelas and he wouldn't when all the other times before it was never an issue to price match somwhere that wasn't a online store but some odd reason that Specific guy wanted to be a A-Hole about it.

Wow. Just wow. Jonathan took care of me from the time I called the store to the final pick up day. He followed through with me until the very end. I was in search of a firearm that I thought was going to be a great fit but he counseled me into a whole new path and I couldn't be more happy! Going in thinking a Walther P22 was for me, I am so happy with the Glock 19 Jonathan recommended to me. He even got me a serial number that I love. The attention to customer service Jonathan has is top notch. I plan to bring in all of my family and work with Sac Black Rifle here on out for our firearm needs.

Used to be a great gun store but in the last few year they have gone down hill now when you go in for gun supply all the shelves are empty and they don't even ask you if they can order you what your looking for.its more like a hang out fore the people working there and their friends kinda sketchy

Excellent Military Surplus store with a large variety of gear, equipment, and clothing items from many different eras. A emergency preppers dream storm. An excellent place to purchase many different things to build high quality bug out bags, emergency kits for vehicle and homes, hiking and camping gear, or survival kits for the homeless.

Been here a few times now, picked up a rifle, very seamless experience, everyone here is very polite, they have a lot of merchandise, attachments, a cerakoting station, and awesome pricing as well!

Ordered a expensive propane powered ice auger to be shipped to Michigan. They had the best price in the country! Most likely the shippers did not ship the auger sitting straight up and down so it was hydro-locked. Contacted the manager he instructed me on how to remedy the issue. Then he sent me 2 new rod and reel ice fishing poles, and stocking hat, and decals for my trouble. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE! FAMILY RUN BUSINESS! Plan on buying from them over and over in the future. FORGET THE JUMBO STORES BUY SMALL BUSINESS!!

I have been a patron of this store since they had the little shop on Brown Blv in Rothschild. I had been shopping around for a new bow and figured I'd see what they had to offer. I met the owner for the first time whilst looking for a new bow. He was insightful and well versed in all of his products we had discussed. After shooting a few bows I decided on one Justin recommended for my budget and hunting style. Since then I don't let any other shop touch my bow. Justin has put together an amazing professional team that is always willing to help you. If that staff member isn't sure on advice to give you they don't BS you they get a staff member who has more knowledge on the subject. Chase Outdoors puts the big chain stores to shame.

I was on the lookout for a new bow, and had horrible experiences with customer service at other shops. So someone recommended me to try Chase Outdoors. Andy did a great job setting me up with exactly what I was looking for. I really appreciated him actually wanting to help find the bow for my needs, rather than push another sale as fast as he could. I can’t say anything bad about all the staff there!

Best sportsman shop in Central Wisconsin. Great selection of firearms archery fishing, and apparel. This is the place I go to when ammo is hard to find in other places. Their staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable. They do great work and stand behind it.

I can't sing the praises of this range enough. It's clean, well-decorated, and modern enough without feeling pretentious. The staff were approachable and willing to offer advice. Additionally, I never felt micromanaged in the least bit by the RSO(s). Even the handful of other patrons were friendly and up for small talk.

Unlike the comparatively dilapidated Nassau County Mitchell Field Range, South Shore's ventilation system is honestly one of the best I've ever shot with indoors. Its target hangers are electronic and function well, and two people to a port isn't an issue either. The attached gun shop is an especially nice resource to have on-site.

I wish it was a little closer to their other Merrick store location, and the restroom could use a renovation, but the extra bit of driving and slight cost increase over the aforementioned Nassau County Range is well worth it as far as I'm concerned. I'll definitely be heading back and recommending it to friends in the vicinity!

The wait here is often pretty significant, in my experience. But that's about par for the course at any ammo dealer, these days. The prices are decent, and ammo selection is quite broad. They also have a pretty good range of handguns, and a dozen or so long guns. The employees are courteous and willing to answer whatever questions you throw at them. You can probably search around and find better prices, but if you want to be able to just walk in and buy what you want without limits on quantity, this is the place.

I came in to buy a small 22 hand gun, paid for the gun waited for back ground check , they called said I was cleared, I came in they would not release the gun unless I have a locked box and personal bill of my home address. So I came back 3 days later with a locking box and my bank mortgage statement they would not except it as proof, had my name and address on it, thy wanted a phone bill, frustrated I came cack a few days later and long drive from elk Grove, they again refused my phone bill because they were not familiar with frontier phone Co. They wanted something more I argued with them and they told me my purchase time was going to expire uess I had proof they wanted. I told them to cancel my order I could not make them happy and was charged $50 restocking fee .. I found out from Big 5 sporting goods their request was bogas. Won't shop here ever.

Purchased a gun, ammo and a laser/flashlight mount. The older gentleman working the counter was very, very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. When I came to pick up my gun from the waiting period I was greeted by the same gentleman and he kindly took me through the steps of using my gun, magazine and proper safety. Very good experience with him and as I was leaving I showed him the add from the Fruitridge road Sacramento store with my same gun $10 cheaper. I asked if they would honer that ad with $10 worth of merchandise and he said he needed to get the store managers approval. The manager bluntly said, "no, that's what he paid for the gun so there no refund or credit for another store's ad". I then tried to give back the gun and ammo and was told they can't. I have not and never will step into that store and buy anything. I will buy now from the Fruitridge road store.

These guys are great, and I buy all of my Ammo from them. I don’t write many reviews, but a recent purchase I made brought to light some above and beyond customer service from Chris, the owner. He was able to help me with some issues I was having, and even worked after hours to find a solution with me. Not found a lot of time now days, and I’m happy to write them a review. I've been in three times, the first two times, was completely ignored, nobody even said hello. Today, old man didn't even look up but the lovely lady said hello. Once the dude realized I was there, he immediately asked me if I had a mask. I said no thanks when he offered me one. The previous 2 times nobody said anything. Seriously, a mask? Even King County nobody is wearing a mask and CDC guidelines are pretty clear it's optional if you're vaccinated. Great way to alienate your customers which means I won't be spending my hard earned cash here.

This is a great local shop! I mostly buy parts and little odds and ends, but one time I just needed the tiny screw for a front sight post and they gave me one!👍🏽👍🏽

Apparently they don't seem to understand what value a website is to their customers. Knowing that phone calls can be a real pain to a small store, I just checked the website for the hours of operation. It indicated they were open Saturday. I drove the 30+ miles to make a purchase, and the sign said open Tue - Friday. I just went back to Jackson and spent my money at the local shop there, which was open.

I won't be back to Big Horn, but will spend my money elsewhere.

I have bought a silencer and a pistol here on two separate occasions. When I bought my silencer I forgot to leave my number so with just my name they tracked me down on Facebook and asked me to come back. When I bought my pistol they took it apart and swapped barrels super fast no charge. They know there stuff well I will definitely shop here again

Refused to sell my brother-in-law a firearm because his WA State ID/drivers license hasn't been updated to reflect his new address in Cle Elum. The owner denied him because he "wasn't a local resident", however, he has lived, worked and payed taxes in Cle Elum longer than Hawk American has even been in business. It's insulting to treat your customers this way, especially to a local who planned on doing continued business with this establishment. Take your business elsewhere.

I'm a fan of being able to touch merchandise, versus the experience of online shopping. I'm a fan of choice. Aloha Surplus satisfies.

Yes, some items are more expensive than their online competition, and some of the items about which I'm knowledgeable weren't authentic military surplus but made cheaply for less-than-discerning buyers, but there's enough worthwhile stuff from _all_ the wars to make a visit worthwhile. (There's also a bunch of silly wanna-be stuff that I'd be embarrassed to own but to each his or her own.)

On my one visit the staff were pleasant, although not very clueful about things military. That's a bummer, but the old vets doing the quartermaster thing in private life is probably a thing of the past.

This is my "go to" spot for any firearm purchase. I have always been treated more than fair when it comes to pricing, then add the friendly service and knowledge on top of it... when I walk out I feel like I owe them!!

I visited several gun shops but thought the staff and inventory were the best at Big Horn, and really was impressed by the knowledge and integrity of the staff, their friendly attitude, their willingness to answer questions and take the time to show me the different models and explain to me what I wanted to know.
