Beautiful park but the baseball fields are the worst!! They need to redo them!!
The kids had fun, but how are you charging 1600 a team to play on fields like this? Two fields we played on, nationals park and citizens bank park, had trenches from foul pole to foul pole. Seems like a broken ankle waiting to happen. We also didn’t get the chance to play on the main field. I know this is luck of the draw, but some teams played there twice. Seems like they could do more to try and get more teams the experience of the mini Camden yards.

We've been here many times. From what I hear, there is trouble keeping volunteers to run things for/during games, like concessions. The concessions are not always open during games, which is often a complaint from away teams and home teams alike. Otherwise, it is a wonderful park and fields for kids.
The sound of the waves will make you crazy! This beach is one in a hundred and too crowded during summer. Luckily we got there on a windy and cloudy weather day so it was kind of an empty place but the water waves were roaring and felt intriguing. Nice place for adult couples to spend a weekend in Long Island.
Poorly managed organization. The coaches are no shows or show up late, the practice fields are full and can’t be used. Not a good place for your child to develop as a baseball player.
Don’t fall for the smoke and mirrors. Awesome establishment, too bad most of the time your kids travel team won’t even have a field to practice or play on. And if you’re lucky the coach might show up.
The best venue I've been to a show hands down. We were fortunate enough to have absolute perfect weather (clear skies and mid 60s) for our show (Offspring, Sum 41 and Simple Plan). Being outside right on the water with no walls for sound to dch off makes it incredible. Getting in and out was a absolute breeze considering it was a nearly sold out show. Definitely recommend paying for $80 upgraded Premier parking to get out ASAP.
This venue is decent. There is a ton of space, enough restrooms to where I never had an issue getting in, and it does stay cool in the summer time, being in the water. I’ve been up in the bleachers as well as in the pit, and the views are great.

This venue does have an issue with the sound. Every time I’ve attended (most recently for Goo Goo dolls and Offspring) the vocals are extremely hard to hear during the performance. Vocals are ok when just talking or during some acoustic sets, but there seems to be an issue with sound equalizing/sound check. It is one of the most frustrating experiences to pay to see a performance and then not be able to hear the lead singer.

Overall, it’s ok if it’s your last resort.

On August 30th, my friends and I embarked on a captivating journey to Jones Beach with the intention of witnessing the enchanting blue moon. The night held an added layer of excitement as the iconic Smashing Pumpkins took the stage at the Jones Beach Theater, drawing a diverse crowd of music enthusiasts. Despite the memorable evening, there was a noticeable absence of readily available refreshments and bites on Parking Lot 6 and the boardwalk, leaving a minor gap in an otherwise exceptional experience. Taking into account the captivating lunar display, the mesmerizing music in the distance, and the enthusiastic crowd of band fans and skywatchers, I’d rate this outing a solid 4 out of 5.

Always a fun place to go with the kids. There’s a splash pad, sand box, great views and plenty of shade for the parents on a hot day.

During the summer we enjoy the farmers market on Sundays and go swim in the river or play in the splash pad. The river runs right through the park!

The grounds guy is sharp and does a great job keeping the place up. Even when there’s events and the market place going on. I wish I knew his name but he seems to be the main maintenance/grounds guy there. Job well done.
First game today, so limited experience so far. Parking was good considering the amount of people. Clean nice atmosphere!
Still a great park!
My only complaint is that there are campers that hang out in the area. Most mind their own business, but a few are visibly under the influence. Hopefully the city can get these people into help.

About the park:
The splash pad is great! Some decent shade spots nearby to set up and let the kids play.
The drop in tables are also great, it's nice to be able to have a table when you need it.
The playground is good! Some of the spots need a bit of refreshing, such as where the tree roots are coming up. No big deal really.

The restrooms area usually in good condition. My only concern is the campers hanging around in there sometimes.

I love the outdoor workout gym too!
Huge Park great place take friends-and-family there's so much to do at that Park
Jones Beach State Park is a great place to visit, not far from New York City. One of the best beaches within a short distance from Queens. It’s especially fun to bring my son as they have a really nice playground and great facilities and amenities such as cafes and restaurants and beach shops.

This is a lovely park to bring your kids to. Let them play in the stream by the park or in the actual water park on site. There are multiple play areas for kids.
Great spot for large group gatherings! Family and pet friendly with the river nearby for swimming. There is also an off leash dog park to the right of the park that you can walk to and let your pup run off some energy.

I love the splash pad and so do my kiddos. We've always gone when there are many other families but today we went around 330pm and there was no one else there. A homeless woman walked up to the same water feature as my child and started to wash her hair. We left and will only be going back when there are more families around.

It's a nice quiet park. With football and baseball fields. The park is nice offers various slides and climbing for the kids including the younger kids area. Swings well maintained. Bathrooms could be better
I've been to a fair share of beaches from New York to Florida, but this was by far the largest beach to date.

Plenty of sand to pitch your parasol and set up camp for the day. Clean, until the end of the day when beachgoers leave their trash behind. Shame on those fools.

Live entertainment, places to eat, and the ocean view is endless.

Seemed to be enough parking, but be prepared to walk a couple hundred yards to get to the beach and boardwalk.
I enjoyed watching a baseball game here. Very clean.
Great park to relax.
We won division 3 SOFTBALL STATES!!!
A very clean beach, ideal for relaxing because there is no music noise other than the waves of the sea. There is ample parking and several restrooms. You also find food in case you don't come prepared. They also sell ice cream carts and security, there are many lifeguards for any mishap. There are several spaces that you can enter throughout the island, they are listed and each one with its respective parking lot.
My son played here this past weekend (June 24-25, 2023, and he and our entire family had a great experience. The fields were immaculate. It down-poured while we were there and the kids were playing again 25 minutes later...in our home town it would’ve take 3-5 days before the fields were usable again. Very impressive.

Stayed for hours. There is a shaded sand box and splash pad!
Tips:
The best parking is off old Railroad Ave off 3rd.
To turn on the water at the splash pad - touch the end of the purple thing (you’ll see when you arrive).

We brought sand toys, towels & swim suits, scooters and snacks.
Very nice facility for softball. Attended the PIAA softball state championship games. Not a bad seat in the place. Staff was helpful in finding seats
This place I visit almost every day. I get my daily cardio workout here. The park is always clean. Those park workers really keep the park, family inviting. You can play baseball, barbecue, bike ride, walk you dog, track and field area, and most of all Safe.

Nice park...plenty of parking... ok restrooms... working equipment...only concern is the grass should stay mowed always. Children from 2 to 12. There are three covered areas with seating for functions.
Multiple beach access, concert stadium, easy to get around. Area to be experienced and loved. We went to the coast guard area and there was plenty of garbage. We cleaned up the beach a bit. You would think the coast guard would help and clean up their area. Do your part and help Mother nature
Great baseball fields with wheelchair access, concessions, park for kids.

It was amazing but personally every time my family and I go to the park the forecast says No rain yet it still rains. When we leave it gets sunny. I love the park though.
I've been coming here to umpire games for more than 20 years. The improvements they have made to the facilities have been great. They still need to work in the little things, pitchers mounds need rubber underneath, not enough knowledgeable personnel to maintain fields during tournaments. Porta- pots need to be strategically placed. Improve come slowly, but it's a lot better than twenty years ago. The investment is worth it for our children.
Staff is great. Peaceful place to work out. Clean. Organized. Good parking.
Enjoyed experience, visited for high school state playoff, staff is very very friendly, and helpful. Liked it better this year, entering for game was better.
Absolutely amazing experience as an adult watching the kids play baseball at this facility. It is definitely all about the experience. Do it! Let them play here. The freedom the kids are allowed and the memories they make are worth it. The fields are open to everyone to play whiffle ball on when games aren't going on. Lights are turned off at 9:15. Fields are maintained very well. The mixture of turf and grass adds to the experience. Minor complaints with some maintenance and upkeep of a couple fields and grounds for spectators. Parking can be tough if you don't stay at the Marriott. Highly recommended.
I really enjoyed this stadium. Concourse wide enough, views great. One bathroom for each gender and one concession stand. Close to other sporting facilities. Neat to have Beaver Stadium as a backdrop. Decent crowd tried to stay into the game despite a 8-1 loss. Only concern is that I purchased my ticket 20 minutes before opening pitch and was told standing room only yet seats were available. They told me I could find an open seat through.
If you have kids that are Little League age this is by far the best baseball experience they will have. To me, this is second only to playing in the Little League World Series. The fields are modeled after major league fields and the kids love playing on their favorite teams fields. The "Green Monster" at Fenway is a big hit and so is Cal's Yard, which is a mini Camden Yards is where championship games are played. It's like a minor league stadium that has a seating capacity similar to a minor league stadium. Just very clean and the kids are allowed to play on the turf fields after the games are over. Very hard to get them back inside at night! This is the first time we stayed at the hotel on the grounds and I would highly recommend it. It makes everything so simple and our girls didn't mind sleeping in while our son had to get up early for batting practice. They could simple walk out the doors and come to the game when they wanted to. Everyone there couldn't have been more helpful to us. If you're not involved with a travel team simply put together a team and your baseball kids will never forget it. The competition is very tough and your top travel teams usually battle for the championship but it's not about winning... it's about giving your team the thrill of their young baseball career! They won't remember who they beat and who they lost to but they will remember the Ripken Experience!!!!
Nice environment for softball

Very pleasant but I simply go at sunrise just to get my paperwork done for my day and it's nice to be able to have no interruptions and have some peace and quiet. A very nice and clean park with lots of different areas from picnic tables and areas to have family and friends gatherings to baseball fields and a playground if I'm not mistaken but i cant say for sure on the playground. Sorry... otherwise looks like a fantastic place to spend time with others...
Well kept park. Very nice place, all year long

This is a very nice park with lots of things for kids less than 15. Others might be bored. The biggest problem that we have with it, is that completely close the restrooms during winter. They also have lots of picnic tables, and it bordersa creek/river. They have a water play area, which I assume is active during the summer months.
Clean and very friendly and exciting to see the kids play
The facilities are great. Awesome experience for kids playing in these fields. Each field has an announcer and they play music in between innings. The infield is turf and the outfield grass. 1st game down, ready for 2nd game in the big center field!

Need porta pottys on the back 40
The field is clean for you to run, jog, walk on. Sometimes it can get very crowded but the people are pleasant. No issues at all. Police patrol around and I think that's very important. I go and exercise everyday and have no problems. I enjoy going

Stopped by here in central park, pretty cool.
My summer office for many years in softball leagues. A wonderful, yet intense experience. Intense because of the proximity of the fields. The outfields overlap, and there are no fences, so when multiple games are in progress outfielders have to dodge other outfielders from adjacent games as they chased down balls. Always good for your agility :)
