My friend had a Codel door on her house. The house faces south and the sun could cause damage. I asked her how long she had that door on her house.She said that she has had it for over 20 years. It doesn’t look a day over a year. So I got a Codel door for my house. It is a beautiful door and people have asked me where I have gotten this beautiful door. I have told them Codel Doors as they have excellent doors.
Not one to put in reviews but this was a horrible experience! The 1st time I stopped in and asked a salesman a couple of questions about windows that he sold he didn't have any answers and told me to look online. The 2nd time i stopped and had a much better experience I spoke with Jason the owner. He was very knowledgeable. I gave him a quote form another place that sold the same windows and Jason said he would have it worked up and back Tuesday or Wednesday of the following week. After calling twice on Tuesday and Friday. Jason emailed the next Monday he sent me a email saying that he would have to come out and look at the windows in person and that it would be on the way to another job. The day comes with no communication. I sent a email in to Jason confirming that we where still on for that day. I get a email back say that he is to busy. Jason wasted my time and showed me that i wasn't worth his.
Slow after sales service and warranty follow up for our door with scratches in the glass, weather stripping that is peeling away, and rarely closes properly. Our door is an eyesore on our house and I wish we never used them.
Ordered a Feather River door through Home Depot in early August and after delaying the delivery date 3 times the ETA is now December. Our entire gut renovation was completed in the meantime and we’re still a month away from receiving the front door. Customer service was completely unhelpful and offered canceling the order as a compromise… would definitely NOT recommend anyone order from this company!
Too bad zero stars is not an option. People, please please please read the reviews and believe me they are all correct. STAY AWAY from this brand at all cost. You get what you pay for. I purchased a French door from HD and after installing it will not close properly. After hours of adjusting the door the contractor found that one of the door was warped at the bottom. Contacted FR and talk about excuses after excuses. They do not stand behind their product. As I said, read the reviews and STAY AWAY from this brand. I’m stuck with a defective door and have to buy and pay to install a second set.
Like other have said these doors are really poor quality. I bought their top of the line doors and you can take your finger nail and chip off the black paint without effort. And to add insult to injury the primer underneath is white so you have white showing through. Ugly. Should have know something was up when they gave me touch up paint on delivery. Out $13K ... I wish I had gone with the the Pella doors bid. Do your research and then you make the call. I wish I could get my money back. BTW my installer said these doors would really good ... mmmm They did a mediocre install also that I had to rework.

I removed the old door, piece if cake. Six nails holding up a 36" door with two sidelights. New door fit the same opening, yay - I measured correctly. Pulled the glass, painted the door and trim twice. Sealed with caulking.
Two weeks go by. The trim between the door and BOTH sidelights begins to separate at the bottom. WTH?
HD says we'll get back to you in 2-3 days, not. Six weeks and four emails later I get a response from FR - you didn't caulk at the base of the trim. I'm sorry FR, caulking would not not have stopped the issue from occuring, it doesnt have the adhesive strength. They suggested I glue it and screw it, lol.
Fortunately I only purchased one FR door, the 2nd door was from a very well known manufacturer with a great reputation (yes, this manufacturer will get a great review on Google).
Save your time and money, spend some extra money on a good quality door elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. I live in B.C. and can’t credit Centra Windows enough for installing and servicing a grocery list of deficiencies in these doors. Everything from a multipoint lock system that has failed miserably to distorted windows, mismatched hardware, etc, etc, etc. We ordered “quality” doors and will absolutely never purchase from Codel again.
I purchased a Feather River door from Home Depot in 2016. I am so dissapointed in their product. the finish is peeling off. the glue connecting the stain glass to the frame is cracking. through many emails with Home Depot and the door company all they will offer me are instructions on how to refinish the door !!! the company claims that I was instructed to put a coat of polyurethane on the door every couple of years. I was never told to do this. also I purchased this type of door because it "should have been" maintenence free. when you purchase a $6,000 door, a home owner expects it to last!!!
We ordered a Feather River Door February 2022 at our local Home Depot. It took until October 2022 for the door to come in. Immediately once the door was installed, I noticed the frame around the glass was warped. I called Feather River and was told it was because we had glass in our storm door and it voided the warranty. This was not the case because the door was warped upon installation and the glass in our storm door was taken out on the very day Home Depot installed the exterior door. I called and literally fought with Feather River to correct the issue. They replaced the door, but the door had the same issue... Warping around the frame of the glass. Same issue, twice!!!
I should have been more careful when selecting the address on google map. My intent was to travel to Aurora Outlet mall(premium mall) and ended up here.

Avoid this product brand, very poor craftmanship by the manufacturer. I purchased a craftsman style door, transom and sidelights about 7 years ago through the Home Depot. The factory-applied protective treatment began peeling on all exterior facing surfaces within 3 years despite very limited direct sunlight. The doorframe began rotting shortly thereafter. Unfortunately, I cannot award less than 1 star to this product.
This company absolutely blows. Past 8 months been dealing with numerous defects, incorrect prep, warped doors and cracked plexi glass panels not discovered until you remove the protective film after painting and installing a few months after receiving it.. "Sorry we won't come out and fix it". Ever had to disassemble a 8' pocket door and casings that took 8+ hours to install? Unacceptable. Put some QC and pride in your products. I will never, ever buy Codel doors again.
Purchased through Home Depot. Extremely disappointed in this product. Had for barely over a year, and late one night the entire glass just busted out of now where. There is nothing that had fallen, nothing that had leaned on, nothing that even touched this door. We have zero kids in the house, only two adults, and two very small dogs. There had to have been a defect in the door. And of course the warranty doesnt cover damage to glass, imagine that. An expensive door that we took time to customize is now useless.
This is a good place to work I was there for seven months as a temp but the priority of the hiring is rediculas. Just laid me off out of the three temps and I know the most product and was considered the best driver helper. After putting in months of dedication they tell you "we got you approved to be hired on" then go and tell you that they don't need you anymore while others sit there with no work ethic and play on the phone all the time but there spot is guaranteed. Get the priority straight.
It was very cold out but the places we went the prices were good. It will be better when it's warmer out.
So much was expected but hugely disappointed. No transparency, one was felt as if they were being charitable and humored us. And to pour salt over the wound…the stucco was damaged and they said I had to cover all the costs of repairs..citing it “cost of business”!!! And this is a premier business!!

Workers blocking traffic for 10 minutes to unload a couple 2x4’s. Plenty of other places to park. Rude and unprofessional.
No points for guessing why so many people recommend this place. You get the best of brands and all discounts for so many items . The place is neat and clean , ample restrooms and decently good place for food . One can easily spend the whole day shopping and relaxing their day out around the mall. I did find difficulty in finding Uber but assume that would not be case always.

I bought four Feather River "Preston" series doors for my work-in-progress home remodel: three fiberglass exterior entry doors, two 1/4 lite and one 1/2 lite, and one full lite white oak interior door which they no longer offer. The full lite has been installed since 2014 and one 1/4 lite since 2015. No issues with either with the exception of the sweep getting torn on the exterior door. The 1/2 lite and second 1/4 lite that we ordered in 2020 took a while to arrive. Only problem with the second order was too much factory expansion foam between the glass and the door for the 1/2 lite, which I had to cut off before painting. Haven't experienced cracking or overheating with any of the doors, nor have I needed Feather River customer service. For the price point, they're good and I'm happy with them. The Preston glass with zinc caming is gorgeous.
Horrible lugar para trabajar yo trabaje en ese lugar hacen unas semanas y estuve por tres meses allí, y fue el peor lugar que conseguí para trabajar me trataron como basura , habían empleado buenos pero pocos y la otra mitad se encargó de hacerme la vida difícil en ese lugar y para colmo firme un contrato por 10 horas al día y nada que ver 8 horas y si no había trabajo te hibas temprano me trataron muy mal en ese lugar .

We built our house with Suburban Lumber materials and it was a great choice. We had a fantastic experience and really enjoyed working with Jason Lincoln - he was super helpful in so many areas. If we build again, we will definitely use Suburban.
This review will be the same as the other one star reviews. Poorly constructed product, horrible customer services. Our front door doesn't latch without the dead bolt. It came with 3 significant scratches on 2 of the 3 windows and a the third is clearly warped. We initially bought this through Lowe's pro installer services and it's been nothing but a nightmare trying to get this thing fixed. I finally had to make a scene and go into Lowe's and then make a demanding call to Codel directly in order to get them to even look at it. There is a good chance that we will be purchasing another door after a full refund from Lowe's and buying door from a reputable manufacturer and have it installed by a reputable contractor.
The only reason this company has 3 stars is that employees are coming on here to give it 5 stars. Take those reviews out and you have yourself a 1-2 star door company. Take note, you've been warned. Don't work with this company.

Was disappointed they could not lend us a sample shingle to bring to the house to see how it would look. We bought the roofing there anyways We were told to clear our garage and they would put the material in there. When it arrived they only had a fork lift and no pallet jack so the materials are sitting out in our driveway So far the experience is not as expected.

We have an old house being repaired after major storm damage, so the door openings are not standard sizes.

Our initial visit to the showroom last August was very disappointing, the unwelcome feeling we got may have been due to covid at the time, not sure? We have decided to go with Erie for our siding and accessories, and the salesman we now have is very helpful and polite. Looking forward to the project and finished product!!
Terrible service. Tried ordering doors. Placed order and deposit for 2 doors. Was first told it would take a week, the told 4-5 week wait time. I called after 5 weeks. 2 days after my call the salesman says the door is here. I ask about the other door. He tells me I canceled it? Nope. No I didn’t. He tells me he’ll send me the email. So he sends me an apology and an apparent attempt to let me know they can’t make the door. We had emailed 20 times. We had texted. Horrible service. Really needed the door and now we have to find somewhere else where I’m sure it will take months to get. Really bad service.

So my door just got installed today... I'll update if there's ever a problem... But there's nothing wrong that a tiny dab of touch-up paint can't fix. I'm in love with this door. It looks fantastic!!
Update: I made one request of HD to get the touch-up paint from Codel... it's being sent overnight to my house. Can't ask for better service than that. Every time I touch my door, I'm just thrilled with the quality and the look.

Bought windows and sliding door here several years back from recommendation of a window installer, great place to be aware off, great quality and price
Most of the time the counter sales people are pleasant and helpful, but once in awhile like today you will get one that is rude and makes you feel as though you are bothering them. When I offered to show pictures of the items I had previously purchased I got a reply "we're not there yet". Well we never got there either. My advice to that one is get a job where you are not dealing with the public. In the future if this counter person is going to wait on me I will decline and wait for the next available one no matterWell we long I have to wait.

I was in contact with Squaw Creek for over a year because I can never make up my mind, and couldn't decide on the product for the project. Anytime I had a question they were happy to answer with their honest feedback. I finally decided and ordered through Squaw Creek. The product showed up earlier than expected. I have had experience with their vinyl windows for my home and the business I work at. Both have been extremely poor from the point of customer service and quality!
9 of the windows I purchased and had installed in my home ended up losing their seal and the company has been sidestepping total replacement of the defective windows for years now...even tho my contractor has repeatedly tried to have them replaced. It seems to me if the product is clearly defective, the company should stand behind them and replace them rather than saying "we will send you the glass and you arrange to have the old glass taken out and replaced! What kind of customer service is that? I am ready to put a sign outside my home on a main highway stating just how poor the service was. I have to say I found Comfort Windows much more customer service oriented.
I would expect contact from Erie upper management and/or owners to rectify this situation by replacing the defective window both at my place of work AND my home!
I plan to take pictures of the windows that have become cloudy and terrible to look at so others can see what to expect.

Stopped by to get trim for a bathroom project .shop guys were very helpful and selection great . Better than big box selection and way less headache than sorting .convenient also

Just like several others pointed out, the quality of the product and warranty service is terrible. I have spent months trying to get them to inspect the defects on their doors (photos attached). It has been like pulling teeth, with constant delays. I suggest you don't deal with them -- waste of money and time. See photos.

Got my kitchen cabinets here and delivery was free. Good quality and good price. They can order new windows too at an affordable rate but if you need one right away for less than 100.00 on some new used, they have them. Used outlet for windows and doors but they special order new and deliver. Best if both worlds.

I can’t say enough good things about the shop. I called a lot of the major shops like Milgard and Jen-Weld and they wouldn’t even give me the time a day to be honest. They were all short but when I finally got a hold of the folding door store, Kim was amazing. She treats you like family and spends the time that is needed with you to explain everything. Brad helped me understand all of the engineering requirements as well. Great job. Thank you guys!

I have had my fair share of door and millwork companies I've worked with. This place is by far the best. Don is so unbelievably courteous and efficient at his job. He's quick, smart, and friendly. They are quick to make sure they recover from any mistakes. We had one door missing on our order once, and Gabriel was accommodating enough to make sure that the door was custom made and delivered to our site the next day. Very impressed. Also EXCELLENT prices.

The manager has no spin and the dispatcher is no better. If they would have gave me some help now and then things would have turned out better. But that's ok l work for a place now that is great and take care of there people they aren't shady like the manager and dispatcher at builders. The place l work now are giving me the opportunity to buy my own truck.
Excellent one stop shopping from purchase to installation. Brad the owner Is outstanding and delivered on his promises. We purchased a beautiful Centor sliding door.
Used to use them all the time. Then a sun rock gravel truck side swiped my truck then left the scene. Was unable to get them to fix my truck md I paid out of pocket to fix it. Now we spend 100s of thousands of dollars every year on lumber and other material but I won't ever buy from them again.
No one is available to let you know what products they have. Just want to take a name and number and call back
