The ultimate breakfast destination! They provided us with exceptional care. Service was swift, and the food was outstanding. They even expedited our order before attending to a large group of 30. We're definitely willing to make a detour just to return!
It was a nice experience. The building is just a tiny bit run down, but pretty clean. Though my waitress was very very nice.... service was a bit slow. Took about 15 mins for her to take our order and another 20 for the food to arrive. But everything was hot, fresh and tasty.
This restaurant is in a little bit of a sketch neighborhood. The restaurant seems a little tired. Their hours are not like other village ends. They close much earlier and I attribute that to the neighborhood. The food is good. It's plentiful but the interior of the restaurant is a little faded. The servers seemed happy. They were quick and attentive. We had to get pie to go.
Lovely drive down to the quaint town of Stockholm and enjoying a mint pie flight. These are offered once a month (give or take) and sell out quickly. If you can't book one drive on down and enjoy some of their other pie offerings or place an order for a pie or two to take home
Stopped on a whim on my way home from Dulles and...we need to talk about your pie. Sure there's 'good pie', heck I make a mean apple myself, but the 4-berry pie I bought from you puts them ALL to shame. This is smack-your-mama-good pie. This is eat-for-breakfast-good pie (I may or may not be doing this right now). I'd post a photo but there is no remaining evidence 😉

Haven't been to this location in forever. Just because not usually on this side of town. Crystal greeted us with a smile and sat us immediately. They had lots of specials and breakfast and lunch options at 11:00an. Crystal was great help with the menu and gave A+ service. The food and drinks were all yummy. I tried the hash brown pancakes. Was different, but good. Definitely a good spot to stop to eat.
My husband and I found Ashley at the Lynchburg bridal expo in January of 2023. We used her for our wedding in October of 2023. She was wonderful to work with! There are so many options for flavors. The mini cupcakes and cookies were fantastic and our cake was beautiful. Highly recommend!
I used Sweet Indulgence for my wedding and I cannot say enough good things about them! I had a dessert bar and a cutting cake. Ashley was so patient with me when trying to decide what I wanted, and she was so thorough in explaining how the process works. She was always quick to respond to my emails.
The presentation of the desserts was incredible and they tasted amazing!! I highly recommend the apple rum cake and pecan pie! She captured my vision for the cake beautifully! The cake was incredibly moist and the icing was not too sweet! I highly recommend this company for your baking needs! I will be using them again in the future!

All these years after living in the New York City, I’ve been coming across a lot about this bakery and its famous banana pudding. Thus, right after Christmas I decided to stop by this bakery after my work to take out the pudding.
It was quite a cute shop at the Bleeker Street in West village. There was a line, but it was fast moving. The guys behind the counter were quick and helpful. I picked up a small banana pudding container and since it was holiday season they’ve their holiday special Red Velvet cheesecake which was looking utterly delicious.
Now, writing about the taste, like any other folk I loved the pudding - freshly made, rich in flavor, and mouthwatering. Next time I’m definitely going to get a big container.
Being a red velvet enthusiast, the cheesecake was luscious and yummy! A must try during the holiday season.

I wasn’t expecting the place to be kitschy so that was a lovely surprise. The pie itself was good, but there wasn’t anything special about it. I wasn’t overly obsessed. But I did really like the decorations and staff. I think the ice cream was breyers, can’t remember if they claim being homemade.
It was a cute experience and thought it can be really popular for families and kids. I recommend giving it a try if you enjoy the whole American vibe.

My wife liked the location by Central Park over “original location.” I think it was due to the other locations sat longer in the fridge compared to the fresh one licked up here. I still loved the lemonade!!

I was so excited to try Magnolia Bakery's famous "banana pudding". It was good but did not live up to the hype. The cupcake was nothing special than the regular grocery market's cupcake. Original banana pudding was better than red velvet.
Multiple pit flavors available. I like the Loudonberry best. But everything here is delicious

Best custom cake bakery/chef In Lynchburg. Worked out great for my wife’s 50th birthday party, and the chocolate raspberry flavor was awesome.
We could not leave New York without having a taste of its iconic banana pudding. The banana pudding was great and not too sweet which aids in binge eating the entire large cup. But my favourite was the blueberry cheesecake which was tastier than their banana pudding for me. I loved their blueberry cheesecake so much that I couldn’t even wait to click a picture before devouring it.
Stopped in get my fill of one of my favorite pies. I came in too late as many of the other varieties were sold out. Staff was very nice but the pie was served cold (should have asked if they could warm it up). I don't think I'll necessarily return but I understand the appeal.
First time here after moving here and it was fantastic! I live very close as well and this is my new breakfast go-to spot! Food was delicious, service was great (Josh) and the interior is cute! NYC MUST TRY. I personally don’t even eat bananas HOWEVER this banana pudding is amazing. Everyone has their own opinions but I think if you have not tried Magnolia’s Banana Pudding… YOU SHOULD! It’s a perfect snack while roaming around NYC. There are many convenient locations, grab a spoon and enjoy!!
We came for their huge selection of gourds and pumpkins of all colors and sizes. In addition to our pumpkins, we left with apple and pumpkin donuts, fresh veggies and a tasty chicken pot pie.
Fantastic Local Country Store for your natural & local Farm Products. Very friendly and helpful staff. A must visit while your in the heart of Loudoun Vineyards.
Only tried the banana pudding and the apple crisp pudding. I'm not super into bananas but the banana pudding was still good. The apple crisp stuff is incredible though, if they aren't sold out. The other problem is that what you get is a little inconsistent. Sometimes it's heavier on pudding, other times on the vanilla wafers. I haven't had one heavy on apples yet, but I've had one that had only a single piece of apple. That said it's still good, just not as good. Definitely recommend taking the risk as it's good no matter what.
Five star for Banana pudding. The texture and flavor both are amazing withou too sweet.
Brownie fudge one is ok. Blueberry pie is too sweet for me though.

I recently requested a quote for a custom cake and they responded quickly and the price was very reasonable. Unfortunately the party planners decided to use a bakery closer to venue. That said I’ve been to this neighborhood staple several times and the cake is delicious and the service is friendly. Definitely recommend this place for cakes and other baked goods.
Pot pies were great. Lots of filling, flakey crust top and bottom. I'm used to a filling that's not quite so thick and could have used another minute or two in the oven. But great flavor and serving size. Got my pie for carry out 'cuz I'm stuffed! Worth a stop (and maybe another on the way home!)
Very cute cafe with simply the best pie. Up there with Bubby’s pies (iykyk). Chicken pot pie was a perfect savory treat and i followed with the signature fruit pie and ice cream. The crust on both were moist, flavorful, buttery but not too buttery. I’ll definitely be back.
Very good sized apples to pick! They have a tractor that takes you to the orchard so you don't have to walk as far. You do have to pay to pick the apples, and for the apples. The store has so many unique options to buy such as donuts, cider, wine tasting, salsas, pickles, dipping sauces, etc.
After years of visiting Grand Marais this was my first visit, for lunch. I am a fried chicken fanatic, and they're broasted chicken was phenomenal as was the gravy on the home sale mashed potatoes. The iceberg lettuce garnish could have been saved.
Cookies and biscuit were great. They go pretty heavy on the salt sprinkle so if you have high bp, watch out. The biscuit was yummy but the butter to jam ratio was really off. Coffee was mid, that’s all I really have to say about it. The woman tending to us was a little nasty but hey, everyone has bad days.

For those that are gluten free, they have meal options, GF pie on the weekends and prepackaged GF treats (cookies and/or brownies). If you have your heart set on a certain flavor of GF pie, be sure to call ahead and order it a few days in advance. The staff are always eager to accommodate my GF restrictions!
Lastly, this business is known to be busy, but the service is very efficient, staff are amazing, welcoming and inclusive. The business is clean, organized and great for all ages. I ordered a cake from Sweet Indulgence for a baby shower I was hosting. Ashley was a great communicator-she was quick to respond via email and described exactly what I was looking for in the invoice. The cake was so beautiful!! I was very impressed. Not only was it stunning, it was also delicious. Truly one of the best tasting cakes I've ever had! So thankful to have found Sweet Indulgence and will order again for all my future cake needs.

When we first got there, we could not believe there were so many people lining the streets of this tiny town - and they had a great reason to be there - Stockholm Pie and General Store. Lots of classic candy on the general store side, and the pie was absolutely amazing. It was warm and the cherry pie filling was perfect, crust was flakey, and so happy that I opted in to try the whipped cream… a full scoop of whipped cream that tasted just like ice cream. What an awesome find! Wish I could come back to try more sweet and savory pies.
We have been going here for years, and have never been disappointed. My favorite is the signature pie, but there really isn’t one I wouldn’t enjoy. Try the biscuit, too!

I used to love this place, but they changed so much. I think they took away the experience and fun of picking apples for me, especially charging for “U-Pick admission” just to see their apple trees. They charged too much for their prices, more expensive than Walmart. I personally don’t care much for picking the apples from this place.
Cute little ma & pa restaurant. We obviously came here for a breakfast/late lunch. The space is small but cozy. We got all our food fast, fresh and really enjoyed our food. Service was good. Location is excellent. I ordered a breakfast #1, white toast, eggs, hash browns w/onions & cheese, it was delicious! My fiancé ordered the Mexi Scrambler and really enjoyed that as well as the cinnamon roll. We each added a pancake for $1 and it was yummy!!! Highly recommend a yummy home cooked meal.

Passed by this place for years, but never stopped to check it out. Glad I finally did today. Best damn pie I’ve ever had! Peach blueberry was fantastic. Now I’ll have to stop by again and try some of the other ones.
Staff was all so nice! The food was really good and reasonably priced. My husband got the Viking omelette and added the chili on it and I got the biscuits and gravy. They were both delicious and we will definitely eat here again the next time we are in town
My maple latte was absolutely delicious! This coffee shop is one of our must visit spots whenever we’re near Portland. The line was pretty long so build in some time for that if you’re going on the weekend but it was worth it. I also was so excited when I found out the coconut cream pie was gluten free too!

Thank goodness this terrific little joint was open and serving kitchen made dinners until midnight on a Sunday! We didn't get out of our Denver Performing Art Center show until about 10:45pm. We hadn't eaten since 2 in the afternoon. We adored this restaurant for many reasons on top of this exceptional and exclusive downtown experience.
This year my wife's birthday was saved by many people coming together and bringing as much joy and happiness as they could. After a disastrous first attempt I strived to make a new birthday for my wife. A zoo trip was booked, dinner planned, and all we needed was a cake. I wanted to get her a birthday cake that would help her to forget the first attempt. One that would last in her memory and be the one she thinks of when she thinks of turning 38. In comes Sweet Indulgence Bakery. This had to be a beautiful masterpiece and Ashley was more than ready for the task. The cake she created based on my simple idea was beyond what I could have hoped for.
The day came and the zoo was enjoyed. Dinner was eaten. Then came the moment we all waited for. The beautiful teddy bear with a purple bow tie came around the corner greeting my wife with two small candles on top indicating her age. The face of child like joy that she expressed was beyond priceless. Tears of happiness and love filled her eyes and she began to laugh at the little brown bear as it came to her as we sang the timeless song of Happy Birthday. After the ceremony ended and wishes were made we gave her the requested piece she hoped for. The smile as she made her first bite let all of us know that this cake was as decadent as it was beautiful. We all dug in!

Delicious does not begin to describe the breakfast. The mascarpone and pistachio pastry was perfection! And the pistachio latte was so flavorful without being too sweet (the common downfall of a latte at most establishments). The rest of my family had savory breakfast sandwiches and declared them the best ever. You MUST try this bakery when in NYC!
One word! AMAZING! What an absolutely lovely little cafe to have lunch & pie. I had the Cranberry Pecan Chicken Salad Sandwich & I am telling you it is the best I’ve ever had! Yum! The dressing and a little crunch from the cucumber and served on Cranberry Wild rice bread! I had multiple customers asking me what it was. Also had the Lemon Lavender pie which was heavenly! The 2 gentlemen behind the counter were so personable. So nice to have wonderful customer service! Definitely will be back to this lovely little small town! Thank you for your hospitality!
We all had a really good lunch at the blue water cafe. There’s something for everyone on the menu. They offer the breakfast menu all day and there are specials. Not a very big restaurant, but there never seemed to be much of a wait for a table. The walleye basket was really good.

I did like this place. The atmosphere is real circa 1959/60s. Friendly staff and good food. I thought the prices were very high. High enough, I won't be back on my fixed income.
Blue Water Cafe is the type of diner you want to find in every small town you explore. Wonderful, diversified, service staff. Plentiful portions for the various dishes -we got the Campfire Scrambler and the Mexi scrambler. The pancake was good too. Highly recommend a stop before you start portaging your canoe in the BWCA.
We came here looking for breakfast for dinner and they gave it to us! The Strawberry Crepes are surprisingly good. The filling was *just* right. My date got the strawberry and banana French Toast. It was fluffy and tastes freshly made. Our server was attentive and made sure we were taken care of. Great job! My only note would be to freshen up the atmosphere. Maybe paint the pillars or add more accent colors to really make the place pop. There is lots of potential for a come back for Village Inn, I hope they do something about it...

Absolutely amazing bakery!! Coffee is legit and also the pastries. The best pepper jelly and cream cheese biscuits ever. I can eat that thing every single day. I might move to Maine just for this amazing coffee shop!!! I also got many different other kinds of pastries to bring back to NC with me! So glad I did it cuz everything is out of the world.

So good I went back 4x times. Great barker with an assortment of sweet and savory treats. Highly recommend the breakfast biscuit sandwich, and add the chorizo! Also enjoyed the everything scone, ginger cookie, and a biscuit to savor later. ;) Expect a longer wait on the weekends, especially in the summer. But worth it.
Got the homemade twinkies and thought it was pretty average, as the texture was dry and there wasn’t a unique flavor
This was such a lovely atmosphere!! I went with a friend after dinner for dessert and they had the BEST PIES (I’m not even a pie girlie but I’m CONVERTED) also definitely try the brownie cookie and lattes. Thank You Ryan for the best experience 🫶🏻✨

The Fireman said it was the best cherry pie he's ever had. We also got butterscotch pecan & blueberry sour cream pie all very tasty. Indoor & outdoor dining & had a gift store attached. We also bought some bottles of craft beer.

This place is the real deal. It’s good and worth the small wait in line.. it moves quick! We got oat milk lattes with maple, blueberry scones and the egg and cheese on a biscuit. Let me tell you I would drive to Maine from Massachusetts just for that egg sandwich. Probably the best I have ever had.. full balanced in flavor.
I'm giving Betty Bakery a 3 Star for now. I came for a slice of cake but decided on an individual Cherry Pie. I appreciated they offered some savory items as well, which is not typical of bakeries-kudos. They offer common cakes like Red Velvet, Carrot Cake, Vanilla (with some rainbow sprinkles), and and their version of Coconut Cake. I was looking for more of a seasonal flavor cake. There are cookies, bars and an array of other baked goods.
It's true prices have gone up, however, customer service should always be kind and genuine. And, because it's a scratch bakery, not all baked good look exactly alike, which is hallmark of a scratch bakery. It's always best to ask the customer if there's a slice, a bar, or piece of pie they see they prefer. We do eat with our eyes first. Unfortunately, that was not the case when I patronized the bakery. Note, they were not busy. One customer came in and I kindly suggested they be attended as I was still deciding. When I suggested the pie I'd like to buy, the bakery attendant mentioned she already grabbed one. And, they were not too happy to grab the one I wanted to buy. I thanked them for grabbing the pie and they didn't bother to say Thank You or make any eye contact. Cost of goods have gone up, but having to pay for bad service shouldn't be factored in that.
I'll return and try their cake as I like to give businesses another chance.

We went to Tandem Coffee and Bakery about 8 years ago, and at that time, we bought a whole bunch of pastries home with us and said that next time we are in Portland Maine, we need to come back. We came back and were so glad to be here again! The food is off the charts for quality and flavor. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff are friendly. There is in door and outdoor seating. All food made on premise. I have posted about cheese danishes before, so I got Tandem's cheese pastry with raspberries. Wow, by far, the best I have had.
Our go to. Several waitresses know us by now. I love their breakfasts especially the fresh fruit medley is always really fresh. The salads are pretty fresh too and the French fries are always fresh and crunchy
Who doesn’t remember Village Inn for pancakes and breakfast when they were growing up. There are not nearly as many as there used to be but they’re still a great place to recant your youth and have a stack of pancakes. My only disappointment is not having the 4 or 5 syrup choices that would be at each table to create the perfect mix to top your pancakes or waffles.
Only reason I knew to check this place out was because of a YouTube motorcycle blogger. I was not misled! Great food and atmosphere. And who doesn’t love pie?? 4 stars because they wouldn’t serve tap water and wanted $2 for a basic bottled water.

Horrible service at this location. It took FOREVER for our order to come out, then it was wrong. I ordered the Belgian waffle combo with scrambled eggs and bacon. Our waitress brought out the French toast combo with fried eggs. I stopped coming to this location several years ago because of horrible service and an incredibly filthy dining room. We tried it again today because my wife met a friend here recently and said it was much cleaner. It was much cleaner. But the service is still terrible. I won't be coming back

Today I called requesting for a refund or the pie. Savannah helped me and she's excellent customer service. So the Manager told her if I came up there I could get 2 pieces of pie for the inconvenience. Unable to go there I'm old with no car. They said they will credit...wish I had the pie though! Thank you

Ashley and her team did an amazing job of creating these custom cakes for two amazing graduates!!!! The cakes not only look amazing but were moist, delicious and reasonably priced! Thank you for customizing our celebration!
A cute little spot! I had the shepherd’s pie and a red velvet cupcake. Shepherd’s pie was super delicious; crispy on top but warm and moist on the inside without being too mushy and falling apart. Red velvet was OK—I’ve had worse cupcakes and I’ve had better cupcakes. Still hit the spot as I was craving red velvet. Definitely would go back to try another savory pie and one of their cookies.
Wonderful little shop that has grown in recent years. The sandwiches & pie are wonderful as is the coffee. There is now a larger gift shop with lots of fudge, truffles, jams & wine.
They also told us they have space upstairs to host groups up to 50 so this may be a new stop for our car club when we do tours along the Great River Road.

I liked my food but everyone else I was with was disappointed so I am rating with how they felt as well.
BUT I had the Swedish pancake with lingon berries and I enjoyed it a lot. If you go here I would recommend getting that.

This little hometown Cafe was the best I've had in a really long time. My daughter and I had a terrific breakfast here. If you are in the area stop in and check them out. You might have to wait a little bit but they let you order while your waiting which was nice. The wait staff was terrific and all the food came as ordered. Check out those biscuits and gravey! Absolutely terrific!
I had Betty make a custom cake for my sisters baby shower and everyone was super obsessed w the cake. The design process required minimal back and forth and the cake came out looking exactly if not better than what I had hoped for. It also tasted great. It was ready on time and was also like packed very well.
I tried the Chicken Curry pie, it is spicy but I loved it. Balanced spices, great portion
The chocolate cake they have is amazing. Just the perfect soft texture, frosting is not so sweet yet super balanced and not over frosted.
Cold brew coffee was good too

My daughter got married May 29, 2021. My daughter's father-in-law told my daughter and his son that he would take care of ordering the wedding cake. He didn't.
Wednesday night before the wedding on Saturday I was told by my now son-in-law no cake had been ordered. (Mind you, my husband and I live in SC and my daughter was getting married in Lynchburg, VA.)
Thursday morning my husband called Sweet Indulgence Bakery and told Ashley, the owner, what had happened. She had two events that Saturday but readily agreed to make a cake and cupcakes for my daughter's wedding. Luckily my daughter has very simplistic taste but beautiful at the same time.
Ashley made a gorgeous wedding cake and cupcakes and delivered them early on Saturday.

Ashley is so wonderful! She did two cakes for a retirement party for us (see photos below). They were a complete hit! Not only was my company logo perfect & the designs so cute but the cake was delicious and everyone raved about them! Thank you so much Simple Indulgence!
Me and my son stopped there while on vacation in Tampa. They used to have a location in Fort Myers so I wanted to see if it was as good as I remembered. They did not disappoint . While the coffee wasn't anything to write home about the food was exceptional! They also have amazing pies but regretfully it was breakfast so I didn't have any. Saw a sign for free pie on Wednesdays. The sausage was the best we ever had! Everything was tasty and wonderful!
The Apple Jack Festival is a great time to visit but I think they're open all year! Get some apple donuts, cider, dutch apple pie, and of course, pick some apples right off the tree! Do the hayrack ride, you can get dropped off (and picked up) in different parts of the orchard.
Very cool orchard and vineyard which has absolutely delicious drinks, spices and snacks ! They have a great wine tasting area and really good nonalcoholic slushies. I tried the apple one and it's delicious. We always stop here to get spices and BBQ sauces, they last us a while and they are jam packed full of flavor. This place is pretty big, we came just before closing on a Thursday so we missed the restaurant being open sadly.
This is a great stop. They have some unique products for sell; dressings, jams, jellies, wines, apple oatmeal cookies, apple cider and especially apple cake donuts. The grounds provide for some family fun as well; hikes, nature playground, hay ride, and an amazing playground.
Our family loves Kimmel Orchard. We visit several times during the year. They have apples, strawberries, cherries, peaches, and more to pick during their respective seasons. In the Fall we love their apple donuts and cider. They also have wine tasting and a small cafe. Our kids love their new apple orchard themed playground. There is also a traditional hay rack ride. It can get very busy on weekends, especially on the Applejack Festival weekend, but it is a great family activity spot.
We've eaten at Village Inn many times. Last night was very disappointing. The cooler was blowing despite the cold outside. When a customer asked if the cooler could be turned off, she was told the heater had been running for hours. The server did check their system and soon it was getting warmer...they must have been running the cooler for hours!

Awesome place. Awesome staff. We were there for cherry picking today and absolutely loved it. Cherries were full blown and it was lot of fun picking them up. Took the hay ride that took us round the orchard to understand more and we saw plants like cherries, apples, pears, peaches, grapes, pumpkin. The store was full of items and we bought several of them. There is a play ground for kids too.
I only wish there is a guided hayride so it is easy to understand the place a bit more.

One day I was walking down Atlantic Avenue and I was stopped in my tracks by a beautiful window display. I just had to stop and admire the rare beauty of this little shop. As I entered the bakery, I was greeted warmly by the young lady at the cash register. Every pastry behind the counter looked absolutely delicious, and I was dealing with the horrible predicament of choosing one pastry. The young lady at the cash register was very patient with me until I made my choice. After a few minutes of contemplating, I choose a Lemon Tart with strawberries on top. I took my desert home with me so that I could enjoy it in the comfort of my own home. The pastry was amazing from start to finish, all the flavors blended perfectly together. I was completely satisfied and I felt that the tart was well worth price. Try the red velvet Halloween cupcakes !!
