Best Police supply stores in United States

The guy behind the counter was extremely rude and tried to tell me the Byrna non lethal gun was illegal in NY and then tried to push me to buy a real gun. I do not recommend coming here. If you are female and looking for a less lethal or non lethal self defense weapon, I recommend going to Guardian in Deer Park. My recommendation for management is have your employees be more educated on the factual gun laws for all lethality levels.

My 11-year old and I went for shooting some bullets (the boy wants to become the next American Sniper - God Bless America and its snipers). We had a blast - my boy got free lessons from an amazing Range Officer (pls be patient as each officer here is kind but did not want to be too imposing - I wish I had sought help earlier). One gentleman who spent a lot of time with my boy apologies sir for not getting your name - the shotgun next to our booth was not conducive for a friendly chat (skinny, tall, funny, friendly, a competitive shooter, ex- NYC cop and trainer) was an excellent teacher. This place is awesome .. trains you to use firearms in a safe, friendly, defensive manner with full respect to everyone around you. This was so much fun - thanks guys .. I gotta buy my next rifle (Springfield .30-06) and ammo (it is expensive) from your place as I saw an amazing collection). Peace and thanks for your kindness. May god bless us all- Dee

First time there and experience was great! I was walked through everything. Everyone was nice and friendly. Tom was a great instructor and explained everything well. Place was nice and clean. I would highly recommend!

It was our first time there and the staff made it so easy and safe. Everyone was so helpful and our instructor was always with us to help and direct. Unfortunately cant remember his name, tall gentleman with a positive serious attitude, thanks a lot🙏🏻 And the owner Mike spent his time explaining about guns to us, he was great too.
We knew nothing about guns, shooting, prices… but everything was so smooth and pricing is below what we expected so it was a 10/10 experience.
Definitely will be going back there.

This place is my second home! Absolute down to earth people who are knowledgeable helpful and friendly. These people have been so good to me and I consider them to be family. I started coming here roughly mid 2020 and have continued coming here ever since. They have great deals and Andrew is an amazing gunsmith! From sighting in guns and mounting optics to building you a sweet AR set up and everything in between, no other place trumps Discount Guns and Ammo! Josh is the go to gun guru if there’s something hard to find he’s always seemed to find it for me from parts and accessories to full on firearms! And the owner is extremely knowledgeable in guns and can tell you just about anything about any gun he truly is a walking encyclopedia. All in all this place is and will be my go to place, and I refuse to go anywhere else! So if you haven’t been here before I strongly urge you to see this place and experience it for yourself. Very friendly staff, I wish there prices for a little cheaper everything is marked up, a lot. The only cheap thing is that there are the range prices. I'm not from the area but if I had to do some shopping wouldn't be at this store. But like I mentioned before the staff is very nice.

Amazing store. Everything from a Benelli M4 to a Bren, I got. They didn’t have a few items I wanted, but within a week they were in store and I got a call from Josh. Great customer service; my go to store for firearms and supplies.

I called asking for a "Low-Profile, Adjustable gas-block"; was told on the phone, "sure, come on in we go it." The clerk blatantly lied to my face about the gas block he sold me being adjustable — it's not, and only returnable for store credit. Jokes on me for thinking the LGS won't lie for *checks receipt* $27??? Y'all ruined a potential forever customer to make a $27 sale... how petty...

$12 range fee is the only thing in this place cheaper than somewhere else in Salt Lake County.

I was helped by Jonathan today, who came to ask if I needed anything within a minute of walking in. He then spent quite a long time with me as I compared a decent variety of ccw guns, including running around the store quite a bit to grab different options. Jonathan was friendly, professional, honest, very patient with me as I nitpicked minutiae, and gave very practical advice. I felt comfortable, neither pressured nor judged. I'm not here to argue with anyone else's experience, but this was mine.

First time shooting a gun, purchased from the Merrick location. Tom was great, he spent a lot of time with me. Very friendly and well kept! Highly recommended this range!

I went to have my rifle sighted, I'm pretty new to guns in general. They were awesome! Super friendly and informative as well. The gunsmith sighted my rifle very quick and it was very accurate as well. I was impressed with their service and attitude. It was above and beyond in my opinion.

Candid review I in years past have bought multiple guns from these folks (they used to be polite). After today I would not go back unless I was desperate for something I could not get elsewhere(unlikely) Impact become the only gun store on the Wasatch front (also unlikely). The fact is they are far from the only gun store in salt lake (even though they act like it). The prices are the same as anywhere else. If you wish to look at a benelli you will do it long distance at this store. They have that section roped off and you cannot look at the weapons made by benelli. Almost confrontational about it. I actually had to ask if the weapons behind the rope were for sale. Simply put, unless there becomes some kind of shortage of gun stores might as well shop somewhere pleasant.

If your going to shop here stop by and see Tyler. Hes the only reason I'll give 5 stars and keep me as a customer. Both locations I can walk around for ever and never have anyone come ask if I need help finding something but I stopped by a couple months ago and Tyler helped me in my purchase and thought this store was different than the one in odgen so I decided to stop by again on 11/7 to see if you had a rifle in stock (it wasn't in stock). I walked around for a while waiting for someone to come help me and no one came over as I saw another rifle I was intrested in but no one came over so I left. I ended up going back and thought about not spending my money there but saw Tyler and he remembered me and he went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. If every employee was like Tyler you would have nothing but 5 star comments and alot more sales as he doesn't rush you and answers all your questions.

Looks like my experience is common according to other reviews. I'm always willing to give a business a chance. I went in browsed, nobody offered to help. When I got the counter. Three guys working, and I had to start the conversation. Vague answers to my questions made me feel like was annoying them. I used a more direct question with a specific model number, looking for a direct answer. Every bit of information that I expected from a sales person wanting my business, never happened. I had to ask What models fit? How much is it? When will you get it? What other options are there? Before I could finish forcing answers, I gave up. It was obvious that they didn't care to help me. I left the store and made my purchase elsewhere. I recommend you shop somewhere else.

This place is awesome. I ordered a 357 off of their website to a local FFL. It came with those week. They had great prices and a great inventory I would definitely recommend buy here. I’ve tried a lot of other places and it’s nice to have a gun shipped to a location super close by.

Went there because they had a decent selection of AK-47s which is what I was intending to buy. I took a lot of time in what I choosing with help from my husband who is very knowledgeable with firearms. NO HELP from staff who all stayed behind the counter. Anyways, I was denied and banned from buying there again after doing a background check, which is completely clean, as the guy believed it wasn’t for me with NO evidence or reason. I felt completely embarrassed and DISCRIMINATED.

Just walked into the store and it was close to closing time, they let me know there was 5 minutes left until close, so I get it, but you didn't have to eye me down the whole time and act like I was a convict or something. Don't go here if you want to be treated with some type of respect. The manager on site clearly supports bullying as he was the main person eyeing me down like a pit bull. It was a very uncomfortable experience for a place that's supposed to help you feel secure.

One of my favorite gun stores in the valley. I’ve made some purchases from this store and also have a range pass. I found so many great stuff here.

I can't sing the praises of this range enough. It's clean, well-decorated, and modern enough without feeling pretentious. The staff were approachable and willing to offer advice. Additionally, I never felt micromanaged in the least bit by the RSO(s). Even the handful of other patrons were friendly and up for small talk.

Unlike the comparatively dilapidated Nassau County Mitchell Field Range, South Shore's ventilation system is honestly one of the best I've ever shot with indoors. Its target hangers are electronic and function well, and two people to a port isn't an issue either. The attached gun shop is an especially nice resource to have on-site.

I wish it was a little closer to their other Merrick store location, and the restroom could use a renovation, but the extra bit of driving and slight cost increase over the aforementioned Nassau County Range is well worth it as far as I'm concerned. I'll definitely be heading back and recommending it to friends in the vicinity!

Charlie is the man in central Wisconsin for all things German as it regards to firearms and militaria. Had nothing but positive experiences with him. Always super friendly and professional. Always a pleasure!
