Neat well organized great prices

Very quaint and historic Church in Southbury

Loved it

Very friendly and accepting people. Did not hear anything that wasn't biblically true. Very beautiful inside. Only 4 stars because there were no youth or college age attendees that day and I am unsure if there are any groups a single 20-30 year old could fit in. Mostly elderly and a few children at that particular service. Very nice church though.

Saturday Weight Watchers meeting.

Public welcome today, St Francis commemoration outdoors 3:15 PM ...Pets, puppies and/or animal - dolls and proxy - blessings🐕🦺😼🐶🦋⛪🐦🕊️🦩🦚🐌. Wednesday October fourth 4, 2023. Outdoors and 3:15 PM

I work 4 DOWNTOWN STREETS TEAM we have r meetings there.

Several churches share this unique space. Weekend Christmas tree sales in late November and into December.

One of my favorite places to visit in Albany. Breathtaking!

Best service in the capital region. Organ and music is excellent with a boys choir.

The people of the church were truly kind, nonjudgmental, and giving people. I was a part of a homeless shelter that the church helped. The church grounds are also beautiful.

Excellent worship friendly welcoming people

In town Visiting my Friend who lost his mother. We went to their church. The fellowship seems strong here. Very much enjoyed the service but gave the dive stars for how the greeted my friend... Thank You

We go to the food bank once a month!

They give us grocery up to three times a week. Not bad, I like peanut butter be and jelly sandwiches.

It has a great atmosphere and they clearly take interest In supporting others Interests and providing their hospitality.

A true treasure of the capital district. This is a beautiful place of worship, like something lifted out of Europe, and a wonderful place of Christian community. The Cathedral Men and Boys Choir is not to missed. You absolutely need to come and hear them perform on Sunday morning, Evensong, or one of their many concerts and events. The Cathedral has a history of great leadership and the current dean, Leander Harding, is no exception. The preaching and liturgy is top quality and the lectures and guest speakers are always exceptional. Do yourself a favor and visit this historic yet vibrant cathedral.

Gorgeous space. Awesome acoustics. The choir at evensong was beyond compare.

Beautiful concert of baroque music. Acoustics are adequate but not great, but singing and playing were excellent.

A great place for families. We’ve been going to Emmanuel ever since my son was an infant.

For the last 30 years Grace Church has been blessed with Father Malm at the helm. At the end of September he will be retiring and greatly missed. He consistently delivered a well thought out sermon that was academic and spiritual.
Grace Church is a warm and welcoming, sacred, well established, beautiful church family.

This is such a loving community that welcomes all.

Best VBS in Tallahassee.

It's a nice place to visit. The only thing that's disappointing is that they no longer serve a hot meal for lunch by the company, Breaking Bread, on Thursday and Friday from 11:30am to 12:30pm, as they have done in the past for many, many years to serve the needy whom were either homeless, elderly and/or low income.🤦🏾♀️😖
There use to be a long line waiting for food. Unfortunately they had a HUGE decline in attendance after the program that runs the meal department hired a young woman who had many ideas including but not limited to, changing how the food was prepared, removing the juices that people would drink with their meals (there use to be a choice between juice, milk, and water), and she replaced it with only milk or water.
Her excuse was that the juices contained arsenic. When the people discussed this with her at length that not ALL juices contained arsenic and the FDA government approved this to be consumed, she then stated that it contains too much sugar!
When the people who eat there stated that the milk was upsetting to their stomach's because they're lactose intolerant, she said that there's plenty of water to drink. The homeless and elderly people came to me for help (because I would sit and eat with them and listen to their stories no matter how many times they would tell their stories of the days of old; I would listen as if it were my very first time!); and they didn't know what to do about the meal situation. So, I said that they needed to speak up; that their voices need to be heard.
Unfortunately it fell upon deaf ears because she just stared at them making them and their needs feel as though they were substandard, and she knew what was BEST for them.
Sometimes the homeless (as well as the elderly) would come in there looking for the juice to bring their sugar up because they hadn't had a bite to eat yet. Even this, didn't sway her to bring the juices back. Nor did the fact that the milk would upset their stomach with NO place to run to with loose bowel in order to use the bathroom once the lunch was over. Then she took away the salt and pepper packets, saying that they shouldn't be consuming sodium. A week or two later, she brought back the pepper packets.
Once you TAKE AWAY the juices to drink, the sodium out of the meals (making it very bland), and the salt packets.... WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!!? Of course you'd have a decline in attendance. Even Jesus carried a pouch with salt in it; saying that it made the meals MORE palatable. A meal is SUPPOSE to be not only healthy, but satisfying!
It was more like a "power trip" (if you ask me), with her, than anything else. She was trying to conform everyone to the way that she ate. Yet, even she admitted that she drinks juices in her home! So... What gives?
If you implement something and it isn't working, then you HAVE TO reevaluate your position for the benefit of, not only the people that you're trying to help nourish, but to also help keep that program up and running smoothly.
Well... She didn't do that. The people pleaded, and she refused to listen. Not only did she NOT bring everything back to the way it was when she was first hired to take over that contract when it was thriving, she completely ran it into the ground; where at least 60% of the people stopped coming to eat on Thursday's and an 80% decline on Friday's!!
Talk about smug! Rather than to bend and admit that she was wrong and put it BACK the way it was, she let it completely be shut down as of August/8th/2019. At 12:30pm the last meal was served with everyone scrambling for a substitute place to eat.
The extremely sad and heartbreaking thing about all of this, is that not only did this place serve as a meal for those whom are utterly less fortunate than the rest, it was also a place that they could come and sit when the heat was overwhelming in the summer, or the rain was relentlessly pounding the pavement in the winter and fall. She took away a place that use to serve a great meal to the homeless, elderly, and low income.🤦🏾♀️😢😥

Great concerts

Loved by the community, Palo Alto's favorite space ship-like church, and home to the Food Closet food donation center, the PA DST weekly meeting, and FREE lunch Thurs and Friday (opens by 10:30am). Awesome.

My Church home

Nice

Beautiful structure

Beautiful old Cathedral. Perfect for First Friday music performances. Kinda on the chilly side inside.

My husband and I really love Grace. The community is really embracing of new-comers and visitors in a way that never made me feel overwhelmed or intimidated. Father Malm and Mother Fannie really care how we're doing and aspects of our lives. The varied worship experiences also means we can attend what feels most natural for us, which is great too.

At Grace I have found a warm and caring spiritual home. Its beautiful traditional liturgy and music immediately made me feel comfortable. I have found an accepting place where people can become as engaged as they want to be with its programs which extend beyond the church into the local community and beyond. It is a place where I have found fellowship and have grown in my understanding of the faith. I never imagined when I first walked through the door that I would find such an incredible place that would change my life in so many ways. The fact that it is wheelchair accessible is wonderful. I consider myself truly blessed to have found this church family.

Community is diverse, welcoming and family friendly; beautiful traditional & Anglo-Catholic liturgy; progressive theology; outstanding cathedral style music; parish also serves a Latino congregation; strong outreach ministries. Grace has been our church home for 2 years since we moved into the area and we are so pleased to be members here.

Lovely church to see a performance!

Lovely church with a great sense of community. Everyone is very friendly. Lots of young families too!

The people here are very nice, and there is a food closet Monday through Friday from 10 to 2:30. On Thursday, they are also open until 6, and they have hours from 9 to 1 on Saturday. The Sunday service is excellent.

We have been attending this church for a year. Chuck, the priest, is wonderful. Thanks to him, the parish has grown dramatically, with lots of young families. It is a warm and welcoming Episcopal Congregation. We felt at home as soon as we entered. The parish hosts newcomer dinners for new members, which are a great way to meet people. We can't recommend this church enough!

Excellent church, friendly and filled with the Spirit of the Lord.

Everyone is welcome in the house of God

This was created thru the patronage of Claire Booth Luce, and today echoes the Latin Holy office, thanks to Bill Mahrt (Stanford dept of music) and the venerable St Anne's Choir

This is a warm and inviting church. St Clements has many Outreach activities and many opportunities for volunteering. Many people describe St. Clement has finding home, like me.

Grace Church is a loving and caring parish. I grew up in a Church that had no parish family. This Church opened there arms to us 27 years ago and I am proud to call this my Church! Everyone in my family have always felt loved and cared for!

Wonderful and "truly traditional" Anglo-Catholic parish which uses the 1928 Prayer Book and celebrates a simple but orthodox liturgy with excellent preaching and timeless sacred music from a dedicated, professional choir. Anglo-Catholic worship is hard to find in the Bay area, so St. Ann Chapel, as a parish of the Anglican Province of Christ the King, is a true blessing. In addition to an interior that can only be described as an artistic treasure, St. Ann is full of the kindest and most welcoming people you are ever likely to meet!

Beautiful church with a welcoming and thriving community. Always open to new comers, the staff here take great pride in fostering a place for old faces and new members alike.

Grace Church has been a wonderful church home to my family for nearly 15 years. The liturgy is beautiful, the music inspiring, the people welcoming and the programming comprehensive. Wonderful youth programs, opportunities to serve, community involvement and great friends keep Grace close to our hearts. The building is a gorgeous place to worship and the clergy are both constant and dynamic leaders.

I attended Grace a few years ago and really liked it at first. Sang in the choir, which was pretty cool.
Then I realized...big mistake! Office staff yelled at me. Bullies in the choir and alter guild. Rector was like, sorry this happened. yeah. sorry. get used to it.
Took a pass and found an Episcopalian church I really like. So don't get sucked in...look around before you decide

Grace is a wonderful place to worship, grow, and find a spiritual home. Fell in love right away with the traditional liturgy and amazing music program, and I still am consistently impressed and humbled by the generosity, love, and grace of the people here. There are also tons of ways to get involved: a thriving food pantry ministry that serves hundreds of families in the community, mission and outreach locally and around the world, pastoral care, children and family activities, and more.
