An absolutely sublime and beautiful Colonial church building that opened its doors in 1773 (the church community - or parrish as Anglicans call it - is even older).

George Washington was a founding member. Presidents have worshipped there. Go.

I have wanted to visit for many years, so glad I did. Shame that so much security has to be in a place of worship but I understand. There is such a sense of history sitting in the church, the architecture, the skills used, the designs. All of it is just amazing.
Beautiful Gothic style cathedral about 1/2 or 1/3 the size of the huge ones in Europe. Still very impressive and very true to the form. Ceiling in the transept is probably near 100 feet up.
Serene atmosphere just off Main Street. Gorgeous Tiffany stained glass windows.

There was no tour guide, but the doors were open. The yellow sanctuary was beautiful and I could just envision George Washington attending church service there.

Beautiful architecture. Peaceful inside. Free to the public. Lovely place to stop in for some history. Pews we’re open for those who wanted to linger. Bathrooms available too. Church staff were also distributing meals to those in need.
This a very nice Episcopal cathedral. The people were great and took us on a nice tour of the historic part of the building.

Very nice place to visit. If you are impressed by the architecture from the outside you should stop by the office and see cathedral from the inside. There is seating if you want have a java. :).

We were lucky to visit on a Sunday and were able to go inside. The architecture is beautiful and grand. There are graveyards and garden outside to take a stroll and relax.
Magnificent cathedral. On our trip, we were only there for the morning, so we didn't get to go inside as they opened at 9 am. Worth the outside visit we had.

A great place to go to visit for us as catholic, its a roman catholic church with a many held famous event and hollywood movie. The building architecture is iconic.
Pure Joy, No judgement what so ever. Kindness to all is given . I was welcomed when I first opened the door. An I’m never leaving.
I was there for a Friday prayer. Thanks to all whoever initiated this and whoever attends. Sound system and sermon needs improvement. I would expect more from a masjid that is 0.25 mile from best collages ever
A warm and welcoming, family oriented place to worship, learn and grow. The message is relevant and inspirational, the music program is great and everyone can participate as they feel called. A great church home!

Really enjoyed this church. Church is smaller compared to some others in NYC. There's a sense of calm here. Plus tons of history. I recommend coming here. See the Graves and enjoy the architecture.
St. John's Episcopal Church in Park Slope Brooklyn is a very special place. In its long history St. John's is, and always has been, committed to spreading the love and passion for diverse people the same way Jesus taught us to do. Weekly services includes long time parishioners, occasional visitors and new visitors who all enter and leave with smiles of joy. The music ministry is powerfully uplifting. Please stop by!
We're from out of town and attended Easter service there. Warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Trinity Church, located in Lower Manhattan, is a historic and iconic landmark that has stood the test of time. I had the pleasure of visiting this magnificent church on a recent trip to New York City, and I was thoroughly impressed by its beauty, history, and significance.

Upon entering the church, I was struck by the grandeur of the architecture and design. The soaring ceilings, intricate stained glass windows, and ornate details throughout the building are simply breathtaking. I was particularly moved by the stunning altar, which is adorned with intricate carvings and a beautiful depiction of the Last Supper.

One of the most impressive features of Trinity Church is its rich history. The church has been a cornerstone of New York City since its founding in 1697 and has played an important role in the city's development and growth over the centuries. I was fascinated by the stories of the church's famous congregants, including Alexander Hamilton and his wife, Eliza, who are buried in the churchyard.

During my visit, I also had the opportunity to attend a service at Trinity Church, and I was struck by the warmth and welcoming nature of the community. The music and liturgy were beautiful and uplifting, and I left feeling inspired and renewed.

Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to Trinity Church to anyone interested in history, architecture, or spirituality. Whether you attend a service or simply explore the church and its grounds, you are sure to be moved by its beauty, history, and significance.
Fantastic neighborhood church. Beautiful building and kind, welcoming community
St. John's Park Slope is a wonderful community that is everything a church should be. It is welcoming and diverse in every way imaginable. I've was married at St. John's and was received into the Episcopal Church at St. John's. Needless to say, it's a truly wonderful place with excellent preaching and ample opportunities to get involved in community life. Additionally, our music ministry is fantastic with an ever-growing choir that sings everything from traditional hymns to Bob Dylan and Johnny Cash. If you're looking for a church, definitely come to St. John's - you won't be disappointed!
St John’s is a loving and vibrant church community nestled in the heart of beautiful Park Slope Brooklyn.
The most diverse church I've ever attended. There's a warm, joyous energy among the congregation. And they have an excellent preacher, and even better music.
Beautiful church community in Brooklyn. Stop by for Sunday Service at 10am.
Beautiful demonstration of co-existence and inclusivity by this Church to different religions. What a beautiful example of tolerance and cultural acceptance
God's house - filled with the Holy Spirit and Christ's love and grace.
Wonderful and warm community
Welcoming to visitors
Beautiful church in downtown Spokane Washington. I wish I could have been able to see the inside.
A warm community that is very welcoming towards people across the world and teaches and preaches right.

Christchurch is listed in Alexandria, Virginia. The church opened its doors in 1773 to serve Church of England’s Fairfax Parish. George Washington helped fund the construction of the church, and attended services when he was in Virginia. Robert E Lee was confirmed at Christ Church and married Mary Custis, Washington’s step-great granddaughter at Christ Church.
Both of my daughters have attended this school and we absolutely love it. The staff is welcoming and attentive, and the children really enjoy their presence. The curriculum is exactly what early education should be with an excellent Montessori method. I highly recommend this school.
I have found St. Paul's a warm community whose programs combine deep commitments to both social justice and personal spiritual experience. The congregation on Sunday mornings is very diverse and reflects the Cathedral's location in the heart of the city.
Absolutely stunning 😍 and worth the visit. Staff showed us around and shared all the history. Magnificent
This was such a beautiful cathedral to visit. I went with my class on a field trip and we all has such an awesome experience! Transfers you straight to Europe!!
This is an incredible historic and religious venue. I'm visiting from Carson City Nevada I'm ere attending a memorial service for a relative. Christ Church is in Episcopal Church from the mid-1700s! It is in incredible repair. Coming from the mountain west, we have nothing comparable in age . I refer you to their website. Where there is a tremendous amount of contemporary and historic information.
The Cathedral is a home and support system for everyone from any religion, creed, race, gender, or country. People are supportive and provide mental, physical, and belief support. Go and find companionship and support. You will love it.
The cathedral is indeed a house of prayer for all people - it's carved into the stone wall in the lower hall - and has kept its doors and ministries open through rain, sleet, snow, rain and pandemic, serving food and providing unhurried space for anyone, resourced or not, sturdy or not, believing or not.
Genuinely welcoming to all, beautiful prayers, woderful music and thought-provoking sermons. I visited many Episcopalian churches when I first came to Boston and found my place in the gloriously diverse community that is the Cathedral.

Went to my first, formal, live performance on Sunday: Mozart, Shostakovich, and a world premiere by my old, but ever-young college professor, Scott Wheeler, at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Brooklyn. God is truly music 🌎
This is my parish church. It's a growing and vibrant community involved in community service, education for children and adults, and social justice. The Episcopal Church invites and welcomes you.
Before accepting a position on the staff here, I was impressed with how warm and welcoming everyone is at this church--having worked at multiple churches, it's just not always the case. The music and worship is wonderful, it's a high quality, but not stuffy. The preaching is always relevant, interesting, and thought provoking.
Our family has called St. Barnabas home for the last 6 years. From the moment we walked through the beautiful, red front doors we have been surrounded and supported by the love, fellowship and welcoming arms of the congregation. The children's programming is absolutely amazing as is the musical programming. The diversity of the congregation is also a tremendous blessing as everyone is truly welcomed and treated as a precious child of God. We are so blessed to be a part of such a wonderful church and community.
I have attended St. Barnabas since 2018. I was looking for a church that would offer a sense of community in addition to worship. I was welcomed at St. Barnabas from the moment I walked in the door and I loved the 10:00 am service. I met other parishioners at coffee hour and knew I had found my church home. I continue to be impressed by the many spiritual, community, and social programs offered at the church. But, most importantly, I love the bonds I've formed with the people here.
St.Barnabas is a great family Church with lots of activities for kids and Youth. there is a great music team too. New people are welcomed warmly with lots of smiling faces.
One of the oldest churches in our area.
With George Washington and Robert E Lee attending this church 100 years apart from one another time. It is historical landmark worth visiting.
Very good I loved it!
Situated right on the heart of Boston, the Cathedral Church of St Paul houses a collection of inclusive welcoming ministries, all of which grow out of a concept of radical acceptance and an expansive heart.

Your knowledge of the Scriptures doesn't have to be perfect, your singing voice, your past, your faith - none of these have to be perfect. You don't have to be perfect.

This is a house for God's table, not our own, so all - repeat - all are welcome. You will find joy and love and understanding through these doors.
St Barnabas is a wonderful place where everyone belongs. You can participate as much or as little as you want. It is very welcoming and they have the best music program! We love raising our family here
wonderful place and amazing food.
Host for Bay Village Community Theater. Nice hall, kitchen, restrooms.
Friendly and generous ladies !
This is a great piece of history in the heart of Old Town. Built in 1773. Second church of George Washington. Primary church of Robert E. Lee. Free tours.
Great place for fellowship.
A good place that helps people in need. Their school is a great place for kids. Their staff is caring.
Like many churches, St. Barnabas has been doing some soul searching in recent years and with Rev Alex Martin it has found its direction: a progressive, modern church rooted in the Episcopal tradition. After a long search my young family has found a Church to call home.
St. Barnabas is a lovely church full of caring people. Father Alex is the best! He is very caring, understanding and a genuinely good soul. He’s there for you and not afraid to get his hands dirty keeping up the church!
Beautiful church with an engaged congregation
Ancient Worship. Modern Thinking. Radical Inclusion. These are all on the sign outside of St. Barnabas (on the corner of Wolf and Bradley), and they are a good explanation of why I love St. Barnabas.
I love that we are honoring traditions that other Christians have for hundreds of years with an Episcopal liturgy that weekly feeds my spirit, while also listening to progressive sermons that connect ancient Christian practices with progressive worldviews.
And the best part is the children's programs that really help my daughter to grow in her faith while being radically inclusive and welcoming to ALL people. Can't say enough good things about this welcoming, loving church!
This is the most welcoming church I've ever walked in to. You know how some churches make you feel like they've just captured a rabbit? The people at St. Barnabas don't do that. They make you feel welcome without any attachments. The music is wonderful and the pastors caring. Great place to visit or belong.
Warm, welcoming church in a vibrant, active community. Lively programs for all ages, especially appealing to families with children. Relevant messages of encouragement and insight, coupled with a wonderful music ministry. High level of program participation by the diverse congregation. Active community outreach programs.
A wonderful, friendly congregation, with a dynamic, young pastor; we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
I have never attended a more welcoming church as Father Tom’s Good Shepherd Episcopal Church. I have found both services, the early morning traditional service and the 2nd less formal service, equally enjoyable, instructive and comfortable to attend. The music is top notch and there are multiple opportunities to grow through participation and service if you are interested in getting to know the folks there a little better. I invite everyone who is looking to deepen their spirituality with a friendly, nurturing and active congregation to visit Good Shepherd Episcopal. Though I don’t attend every week, Good Shepherd will remain my adopted church home. Caryl Lyn Taylor
Beautiful church. Strong ministry. Diverse congregation. Strong preaching. Glorious music.
Beautiful historic church... completed durimg the Revolutionary War... George Washington owned a bench area along the north wall and frequently attended services. The docent provides a very informative discussion of the founding, building and history of the church. It is a simple but classical Georgian design and is authentically maintained as an active church today. For the docent presentation you are able to sit in the George Washington benches... also where other sitting Presidents have sat (most recent was George and Laura Bush). Of interest, just after the outbreak of World War 2, President Roosevelt and his wife, Eleanor, hosted PM Winston Churchill in the very same seats! Too cool!
If you are looking for a place that welcomes everyone and allows you to have your own beliefs, this is it! They focus on being the best person/Christian as possible.
What an awesome spiritual experience. We absolutely love Fr Alex’s sermons - they challenge me to reflect on how I can be a better person and Christian. The services are deeply spiritual and reflective.

We felt genuinely welcomed from the moment we walked in the door, through the worship service, and in to coffee hour. Everyone is welcomed and embraced here for who they are - no judgment just welcomeness.

We made the decision to join after our second visit - best decision ever! That was 5 months ago and I’m now on Vestry as a new member.

If you are looking for a new church home with a genuine sense of community or just someplace you can stop in on occasion to worship at, you will be welcomed. If you do visit, please plan on staying for coffee hour after worship to get to meet folks and enjoy the hospitality of the parish.

Feel free to reach out to me personally if I can be of any assistance or answer any questions!

Nice place to host an event
One of the friendliest congregations you will ever encounter. The focus on being a light to those shows. All are welcome to worship here and the congregation is a great mix of people trekking the path of faith. They are actively involved in local, national and international communities through volunteer efforts in a genuine hope to help all God's children. The music is great, too!
This church is very beautiful inside and out . I had a very lovely experience when I was there .
Construction winding down. Rest of structure never looked better. Broad range of services to the community.
First time going today & felt very welcomed. Great fit for me.
A vibrant grounded faith community to be, learn, grow, and serve
Welcoming and thoughtful congregation!
St.Barnabas is the location of The Bay Village Community Theater production of The Dining Room. We appreciate their cooperation!

St. Barnabas is a warm and welcoming church. My kids love Sunday school and munch and mingle. Reverend Sarah gives very thought provoking sermons.
So beautiful inside. The church is always open for touring and it is very interesting to do so. It is always so quiet and peaceful inside. I am sure you can always come to pray or read the Bible there without any distractions. I found it full of history and interesting points. It is just great to come in and walk around there.
The best bible study for women. Love the people and the speakers.
A relatively small, but very active parish. Two services on Sunday. Known for outstanding music, blending traditional and contemporary themes and it's highly spiritual liturgical practices.
