I had an incredible experience at Wheaton Academy, thanks to the incredible teachers. Having recently visited again, I am so pleased to hear that they continue to hire the best staff to provide the best experience for students.

We have two sons in their sophmere year. Great school, wonderful experience in every way. Faith, Academically, Athletics, Student's , notably way above above any high school experience we have had with our other four children that were in the public school system.

Just spent the last 3 days celebrating our 50th class reunion since graduating from WA. Go class of ‘68! What a great event! So thankful to be part of the WA heritage. Although it is s beautiful campus, it’s the people that made our memories SO outstanding. Thank you, WA!

My son is a senior here and has had a fantastic journey making his way through the IB program they offer. I have watched him truly engage and excell and is now preparing for college. I could not have made a better choice in choosing which high school he should attend when we moved down from the NE. I am very confident in putting my freshman on the same path. I plan to send my middle schooler here as well. Beautiful school, caring teachers.

Worst school i prefer riverdale or lehigh because dunbar is so cheap they rather use all there money on sports some times because i heard some kids say that they would make them wear the same football uniform from 3 years ago also dunbar has no mirrors they have 2 gyms but only use one its just a regular school its not a techonlogy only thing they hace is alot of computers thats all worst school Some kids even told that they would rather be in alc instead oc being in dunbar dont ever go there you will regret it
i was only a student at this school for a little over a year but I was very unimpressed. Some of the staff were rude, were not at all professional and would yell or belittle students. I witnessed and enured some severe bullying and harassment to students who had a hard time learning and even more so to those who had learning disabilities. I reported these incidents on several different occasions but nothing was done. Some students and teachers were rude and unwelcoming. I was not given any feedback to any classes and was constantly behind or placed in ISS (in school suspension) for missing work or for my cloths being inappropriate. When it's 70+ outside I was told to wear pants. When I was enrolled in Dunbar i was always being targeted by anyone who wasn't "white" and i find that appalling! I was pushed to the back of every class and never given the chance to grow or progress. During the time i was there, 3 people were attacked and there was at least 2 bomb threats and a student who was in class with me had a loaded firearm with him, and later he and a few other students tried to rob students on his bus! I would not recommend this school to anyone who is considering enrolling ether themselves or their children. Dunbar might look like a good school. I recommend you keep looking.

As a Freshman you tend to hear a lot of scary things about the school, but honestly no one messes with anyone unless you start stuff. The school itself is pretty okay though some of the rules make no sense whatsoever...

Really nice campus and staff is extremely nice. Daughter is enrolled to attend the school. Best college preparatory in the area and probable in the country! They really do care for your kids education and how they show up in life. I have full confidence with their teaching method. They’ve upgraded so many parts of their campus. It’s beautiful.

The grounds and campus are beautiful and the faculty, staff and students are even more so! As a parent of 4 graduates and one current student and one to be next year Wheaton Academy has been a GREAT school for our family. Thank you to one and all who have had an impact on our students and us as parents!

I'm a former student, parent, and now Trustee, so I'm a little biased here. But knowing the school so well, I can recommend it without reservation as a place that transforms students academically, spiritually, and physically. My firm also works with Higher Education clients and the name "Wheaton Academy" is known for its mission (growth through relationships, excellence and service for God's glory) and the quality of its students from coast to coast. Visit!

Wheaton Academy is a special place. Not only is it beautiful on the outside (grounds, buildings, and campus) but it is even more beautiful on the inside (the people). The faculty, staff, and admin team are incredible people that focus on loving kids and seeing them succeed. Relationships, Service, and Excellence to the glory of God is evident in every way.

I heard about Wheaton Academy 10 years ago, all the students that I knew that went to Wheaton Academy were amazing. They had confidence, communication, and respect at a level unparalleled to their peers. I would highly recommended Wheaton Academy to anybody who asked.

Went to School and Graduated from Dunbar High. Loved being here and because of the education I received at Dunbar, I now make almost 50K a year in IT and never even went to college.

Dunbar High School has such an amazing effect on the students that attend this school. The Technology academies and other programs, such as Biomedical, Engineering, etc., are really a great opportunity for students. Also, the school itself is in a good location, being right next to main roads that are commonly driven, such as Veronica Shoemaker and SR42
