I was excited to get an add on done with Take Flight. I had some questions so I called and emailed. No answer. After a few weeks of trying to reach out, Ryan finally got back to me. I purchased a discovery flight on the website and was told someone will reach out. As I already started communication in email with Ryan, I told him I made the purchase and would like to schedule. Again no response... I tried calling a couple more times and was transferred to Ryan's voicemail where I left a message... no response.. A few weeks later I get a call from another gentleman to schedule the discovery flight but at this point I already found another flight school. From the time I first emailed to the time I got my first call back, it was roughly 2 months. I asked for a refund due to their lack of communication and how many attempts I made at trying to schedule. They refused to give me a refund and even went as far to send me a call log trying to say I only called once. Seemed like a slap in the face... I emailed a screenshot of my calls / attempts to scheduled and again.. no response. I would not recommend Take Flight to anyone. The communication is extremely poor. I unfortunately lost $379, but I am glad I figured out how poorly this business is ran before getting too far into training with them. BEWARE.

They need to teach their pilots respect for our community in Escalon. They constantly are flying over and harassing us with their noisy planes admitting all sorts of exhaust leaded fuel exhaust. But most importantly little pilot etiquette respect for those below them.

I went to Take Flight Aviation to get my commercial multi add on done as soon as possible. They were extremely accommodating and were able to meet me at OXC every day to train, and when the weather was bad, we were still able to progress by doing ground instruction online. Every single instructor I worked with was very professional and knowledgeable and pushed me hard to really master the skills in the course. Plus, the plane was in great condition, and whenever a maintenance issue was brought up, it was quickly resolved. I finished up my training in about a week due to weather delays. I would definitely recommend this flight school to anyone!

Did my commercial multi with Take Flight. The experience was fantastic. I flew with 4 different instructors and each of them, without exception, were terrific. The DA42's were well maintained and, while they stay busy, we were able to work out a convenient schedule for me to come from out of town to do my rating. 5 stars!

Went here to finish my Commercial Multi-Engine Airplane rating. The owner, Ryan, personally contacted me to ensure they could do what I needed. Even with snow, wind, maintenance, and having the checkride rescheduled due to weather, I was able to get my flights, endorsements, and checkride in 8 days.

The entire staff went out of their way to ensure that I had everything I needed to complete the course and be ready to pass the checkride a short amount of time. I cannot recommend them enough for their professionalism. I traveled from Seattle to do their accelerated course and it was a great decision.

I would like to share my experience at Skyview Aviation LLC. From the moment I arrived in San Francisco, the management provided exceptional support throughout my journey to obtain the necessary ratings. I did not have to worry about my accommodation as it was efficiently arranged upon my arrival. The instructors at Skyview were consistently attentive to my progress and offered assistance at every stage, enabling me to successfully achieve my goals and obtain my Instrument Rating (IR) and Commercial Pilot License in just four months. Additionally, the availability of aircraft was a significant contributing factor as there was never a day where I did not have access to a well-maintained aircraft. My overall experience at Skyview was truly remarkable, and I highly recommend this aviation school to anyone aspiring to take flight.

Just completed my checkride after flying with Elevate CFIs for the past few years. I’m now a certified private pilot. All the instructors are great, but I had a particularly wonderful experience with Raul. He is extremely smart and cares very much about every student. He’s the third Elevate instructor I worked with and he’s by far the best. He does everything right, focuses on the details, and helped me with everything necessary to pass the checkride. Lots of texts late at night and early in the morning. Look forward to continuing with IFR training.

Brand new Cirrus SR20 is amazing to train in.

I have been time building with Elevate for a few months now and I have been lucky to have Wyatt as my instructor/co pilot. I have had nothing but a positive experience with Elevate and Wyatt. I’m looking forward to my next few hundred hours at Elevate!

I just recently had the privilege of completing Take Flight Aviations CFI course. The way Take Flight broke down the training was truly great. CFI can be considered the most intimidating course of them all but through their proven training program it really does work! For me, prior to beginning the cfi program, I really hadn’t flown in over a year with the exception of me flying one time with a friend. The majority of my flying was in c172s and I was nervous if I could jump into a new plane as well as a fast track CFI course. Due to many great and supportive instructors as well as a structured syllabus, the course work and flying was very manageable and at times a lot easier than I had originally thought it was going to be. When I felt I needed more time to self study ground material Take Flight was more than supportive even when the goal is to get through training relatively quickly. In the end it took me around 3 months and I came out with a first time check ride pass which I am extremely grateful for! Overall I had a great experience at Take Flight Aviation and if I had to redo it all, I wouldn’t change a thing.

I completed the accelerated CFI program. The instructors and support staff at Take Flight made this a great experience. Aircraft and instructor availability was excellent. I felt very well supported through the entire process.

Take Flight did an awesome job helping me get my multi engine rating. The team did a great job working around my schedule to coordinate flights and aircraft availability. I definitely learned a lot flying with every instructor I flew with.

I've worked with several flight schools - and Take Flight by far exceeded my expectations. I worked with Joe, Mike, Ryan L, and Tim - and I learned something from all of them and they are all great instructors. The owner - Ryan -- (another Ryan) awesome guy - easy to talk to and knows the business well.

I was unable to find an examiner to test me in my area. Ryan an Chris from Take Flight found me an examiner so I could get up there - train, test, and get back. Ended up finishing un April 2023 opposed to October 2023 - which is what every other school gave me for dates.

Wow! What a great experience I had yesterday with Elevate and Wyatt Mohr my instructor pilot. I was in Park City on vacation with my family and thought (since I don’t ski) how awesome would it be to get a couple hours training in the cirrus while in town. Keep in mind this was Thanksgiving week. I left a message with elevate with my request and less than 24h later I was in the air training. It was an amazing time and I can’t thank them enough for going out of their way to accommodate a student pilot in his journey of becoming a pilot. Thanks Wyatt for your time and supper helpful instruction. I’m discovering that “cirrus life” really is more than a saying on letterhead.

Great experience. Instructor took his time with us and explained everything for flight school. Was cautious about going up for the lesson and gave us the choice on rescheduling or going up (we opted to reschedule).

Very Professional - I completed my Private Pilot License (PPL) and Cirrus Transition Course through Elevate Aviation at KSLC and had a great experience. I chose Elevate because they were a top-tier Cirrus Training Center as well as offered a variety of Cirrus aircraft to fly. The aircraft I used for my training was an SR22T. Needless to say getting my PPL on a high performance aircraft in Class Bravo airspace was challenging. This experience was made far more simpler thanks to my incredibly knowledgeable CFP, Dean Jones. Dean is a very experienced pilot and instructor and taught me how to be an organized, safe pilot. From the first day I met with Dean, he had a very well laid out and thoughtful approach to my training. The thing that most stood out about Dean’s approach was that his training was not merely a quick way to get me to pass the PPL test but additionally he taught me best practices that all pilots should employ to be safe, organized, and professional. I look forward to continuing my instrument training with Elevate and Dean Jones. With so many less than professional flight schools out there, do yourself a favor and go with Elevate for your flight training.

I have trained with Elevate since last year. It has been an awesome and fun learning experience! I had my private certificate prior to furthering my training with Elevate. There are definitely other schools out there, but many just cycle through most of their instructors who are young, less experienced, who are more focused on their own ambitions and time-building—not necessarily focused on understanding the needs of their clients and helping them become as proficient and safe as possible. I was more interested in having instructors who genuinely loved teaching, took their time, we’re safe, and highly attentive to the details—thereby teaching beyond the minimum requirements per the ACS. I choose to do my training in the cirrus because of its overall safety, newness of the equipment, and top notch avionics systems. Previously trained in a Cessna 172, 152, and 150…and no comparison there! My goal is to go corporate, and this was a great school to complete my instrument and commercial training with.

I started out with my Instrument Rating with Dean Jones. I highly recommend him for his expertise, years of teaching experience, and attention to details while instructing. He is easy to work with and couldn’t ask for a better experience or instructor for my instrument rating! I felt thoroughly prepared for the check ride on both the oral and practical test and passed the first time around.

I worked with Taylor Woodall for my Commercial Pilot Certificate and again felt that the training was top notch and that I was prepared for the oral and practical tests—which I passed the first time around as well!

Also had many other great instructors step in when needed—(Nick, Madalyn, and Teya) all of whom are just as top notch as the rest and provided high quality instruction.

This is an excellent school with excellent instructors…again, who teach for the love of teaching and want the best for their clients. It’s been a pleasure to work with them all!

I started my first flight training with part 141 in Skyview and finished PPL, IR, and CPL. Choosing a flying school as a foreign student was not easy, but after hearing the advantages of the school from the student here, I chose Skyview and what he said was true.

Reasonable price, best position for flight training, professional and family friendly staff and instructors.
Skyview also has maintenance work, so it is possible to solve maintenance problems quickly.

I came back to Korea after training, but I will visit here to say hello again and fly someday.

I’ve been at SkyView for a year and a half now and I’ve managed to get my Private Pilot’s Certificate and I’m now working on my instrument rating. I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon! As the months have gone by the staff at SkyView has become family to me. Special shout-out to Liliana who is extremely professional and kind, she’ll always try to find a solution for your particular situation. The instructors here are great too, they’re all friendly and know exactly what they’re doing. Would highly recommend!

I finished my PPL to CPL here. I found here more than just a flight school but a big family!!! Love the vibes so much! Everyone is friendly and willing to help if you have any question. Don’t mention the quality of the fleets. Well maintained, being taken good care of. Everything is set up to help you achieve your triumph in the sky. Glad I chose here !

First class operation

Had an awesome demo flight lesson with Garrett today. Never piloted a plane before and Garrett is a calm, informative instructor who loves to fly. This was a Cessna, was about 45 min long with takeoff, flying, landing and instructions. I'm 74 today and "I did it my way!!"

Everyone was polite, courteous and there to meet our every need. Allie answered our many questions immediately arranging the entire trip. Chris and Sarah made us feel welcome and comfortable on the flight and in the airport. They all went the extra mile. We would recommend Southern Sky Aviation to anyone that would like to have a wonderful trip!

Fantastic staff and aircraft. Some of the cheapest rental prices in the entire bay area due to their on-site maintenance crew. Well worth the drive if you're within an hour. I made the 2 hour round trip multiple times a week during my PPL training, and still make the drive to rent.

Went to pick up freinds yesterday staff extremely welcoming and enjoyable to talk to. thank you for making my first experience a great one! I highley recommand them for your private airline services.

I fly in monthly to visit family. The line crew and staff are always friendly and ready to help. The prices are as advertised and I don't recall any extra fees.

Great school with a fleet of state of the art airplanes for training. The staff is very knowledgeable and has interest in teaching and following your progress. Goes above expectation as they emphasize on the quality of their teaching to make you proficient. Great a communicating with their clients and providing fast support/answers. Highly recommended.

Pilot, who is the CEO, was one of the most condescending and rude people I’ve ever dealt with when it comes to aviation. Will never do business with this company again due to the arrogance he displayed towards his passengers during our trip. We were all kind of shocked at the treatment. The customer service experience beforehand with making arrangements was sloppy, disorganized, and generally a frustrating experience.

You’re better off sitting on the back row of a Southwest flight than using Southern Skies.

I was referred to Elevate by my Cirrus sales rep and was told that there was no other way to learn to fly an SR-22T then to work under a CSIP (Cirrus standardized instructor pilot). I started my first 5 hours at a small flight school in Spanish fork and then transferred to Salt Lake to continue with Elevate.

The professionalism was a night and day difference. I was called by the owner and discussed what I could expect in my training before taking delivery of a new SR-22T. The next day I received a call from my designated instructor Nick. We very quickly started training in the schools SR-20. I enjoyed my time working with Nick. He offered truly world class training. Time and time again I’m told by high time pilots that my flying, radios, and overall knowledge is far ahead of where they would expect a pilot with my experience.

I also completed a lot of ground training with Micah. Not only was he excellent during lessons, but also at home. I would text him very late at night while studying with questions and he’d answer almost immediately. He would also make an effort to instruct me on the topic during our next lesson. He prepared me for my written which I received a 93% on my first try.

Overall I was surprised with how much I was over prepared for my checkride. My oral exam was a breeze and my practical exam was easy as well.

Elevate is truly a world class school. In no way do I regret my training with them and I highly recommend anyone considering working with them to do it, especially if you will be a cirrus owner. There is no other way. I plan on sticking with them all the way up to my CFI.

I love Elevate Aviation! The planes are top notch and all the instructors are very professional and know there stuff. I came to this school to finish my commercial license, CFI and CFII.Bill has been an amazing instructor and one of the best Pilots I have came across. I love having the convenience to be able to rent a brand new Cirrus SR22T when I like.

B.A. for the record I have a job , I find it very unprofessional for a person that is in a leadership role as yourself to spout comments out of your truck as if you were “doing a drive by “ as you raced by me. I guess that’s what one would expect from a department store security guard. I reluctantly rated Southern Sky a 5 because your poor decisions shouldn’t reflect on the people that are trying to make a living at that MRO.

An excellent FBO to come into. Very friendly staff, exceptionally fast service from Line Crew, and a clean FBO lobby. Would definitely recommend for a nice fuel stop!

Professional staff, excellent lounge and planning area with computer and printer access, food area in the back, vending machines and a snack counter with coffee and hot chocolate or water all the time, also a nice lounge area with massage chairs and a TV exclusive area to shut the door and nap if needed. Fuel truck and marshaling crews are great, be sure to tip them they’ll hook you up. Lots of hangar space, but still be sure to call ahead. They will be ready for you when you get there and have your jet ready when the crew shows up. Right across from Atlantic, shorter taxi route for 1/19 ops too, 14/32 is typically where the GA guys fly so less delays departing 01. Controllers are the guys who don’t pass at PHL (so the joke goes) but they’re pretty great too most days. Easy access area and flyAdvanced it one of the best FBO’s I know of in the area.
