ONE OF THE WORST CUNY SCHOOLs, teachers don’t teach, they make you buy THEIR online courses with your own money and you gotta teach yourself. Old buildings, literally smells like piss, NO AC it’s either old af or not working.

I am writing this review to share my deeply disappointing experience with Prospect College , where I studied five years ago. This review serves as a warning to prospective students who may be considering enrolling at this institution.
From the very beginning, my time at Prospect was nothing short of a complete waste. Despite investing significant effort and resources into my studies, I received no tangible benefits or assistance that would have helped me in my academic or professional journey. Instead, I found myself trapped in a web of negligence and unethical practices.
One of the most egregious issues I encountered was the college's failure to provide me with an official transcript. As I sought financial aid to pursue another course, I discovered that the unofficial transcript they had given me was inadequate. My attempts to reach out to the college have been met with silence and disregard. Despite leaving numerous voicemails, they have consistently failed to respond or even acknowledge my concerns.
Driven by desperation, I decided to make a 10-hour journey to confront the college in person, only to discover that they had closed their doors two years ago! To my astonishment, their website was still active, misleading potential students and compounding the deception that had already taken place. This blatant lack of transparency and disregard for the well-being of students is not only unprofessional but also deeply unethical.
It is evident that Prospect lacks basic integrity and fails to fulfill its obligations to students. Their actions have caused me significant distress, both emotionally and financially. The absence of any meaningful communication or support is a clear indicator of the college's disregard for the well-being of its students.
I implore anyone considering attending Prospect to think twice before making such a decision. The institution's unethical practices, lack of accountability, and failure to provide essential services are indicators of an institution that does not prioritize the success and well-being of its students.
I sincerely hope that my review serves as a cautionary tale and encourages Prospect reassess their practices. No student should have to endure the frustration, disappointment, and financial burden that I have experienced due to their negligence.
Please take my warning seriously and explore other educational options that prioritize students' needs and uphold the values of integrity and transparency.
Wouldn’t recommend. Ruined my life

Employs radicals that will indoctrinate your kids into their own beliefs. This is not a higher learning institution, its more of a cult.

If you are a student who is receiving financial aid, please consider other choices. Financial aid department is terrible. Trying to get help for my financial aid, walking into financial aid office several times but every time they will just ask you to email. Fine. I have sent at least 20 emails to them and still don’t get my problem solved.

Wonderful facilities, and great staff. The lecture hall overseen by Yasha Klots was brilliant.

Always crowded, building is breaking down here and there. The ambiance is always dreary and gloom. Elevators always under construction or just slow to reach the floor. Escalators always down for some reason as well. Don't get me started on the rats. If this rating included the professors it would be a 1. Cafteria is okay but is usually always crowded. Only plus is the events they hold but those are also always crowded. Staff don't know how to organize their events. For a school that is funded in the millions they really don't know how to use that money.

GW Chabad was so meaningful to me as an undergrad, it enhanced my GW experience and enabled me to meet some of my closest friends, all while strengthening my relationship with and connection to Judaism. I particularly enjoyed Shabbat dinners and holiday seders with Rabbi Yudi and Rivky; my time at GW would not have been the same without them. Some of my fondest memories are from time spent at GW Chabad!
10+ STARS to the institution that changed my life. The experience of being with Rabbi Yudi, Rivky, and the Steiner family - whether for Shabbat, a Jewish holiday, or just a casual gathering - is incomparable to anything I've ever experience. The Steiners are among the warmest, most enthusiastic, most genuine people I know on this earth. Their home is AMAZING, the food and drinks never stop flowing, and the guests are just as fantastic. This is a MUST for any Jew visiting DC - don't miss it!
Rabbi Yudi and Rivky made my time at GW so memorable. They are the most welcoming, caring, thoughtful people, and they treat every student as if they are a member of their own family. They have fostered a warm, nourishing environment for the Jewish students and their friends at GW, something that not every college campus is fortunate enough to have. After meeting my husband at the Steiner's home 8 years ago, I am grateful to say that Rabbi Yudi officiated at our wedding, and that we still keep in touch with him and Rivky regularly to this day. Yudi, Rivky, Levi, Meir, Rochel, Doba, Mushka (and now Moshe), plus our friends we met through them at Chabad GW, were undoubtedly my best college friends! Their family will breathe light into your soul and I cannot recommend getting to know them and the other students at Chabad GW enough.

Rabbi Yudi and his wife made me feel so welcome in their home. I have had such great experiences going to their Shabbat dinners. I met awesome people and formed stronger bonds , ate great food and learned more about my Jewish heritage. I felt more comfortable and confident being Jewish after attending these meals. Five stars!
Rabbi Yudi and Rivky are two of the warmest, kindest, most welcoming people I have ever met. The sense of community they create carried me through my time at GW and helped me build life-long friendships!

The place to be at GW!!! The food is insane every week.. I don’t know how Rivky does it, but every Jew at GW gets top notch treatment! Shabbat is the best atmosphere ever and sooo welcoming. 5 stars is an understatement!!!!
Where do I start? I have made some of my best friends at Rohr Chabad GW! Rabbi Yudi & Rivky are the most dedicated and kind people I know! They have created a warm, welcoming Jewish community that feels like family. From Shabbat dinners to high holidays, they've got you covered! BEST CHABAD EVER

When I had a community member that needed help, Rabbi Yudi and Rivky were there! They truly care about every Jew in town. When others will only act when there is pomp, show and PR, the Steiners get it done quietly and with class.

*Just a review of the physical location/campus.*

A huge, rambling, campus. Twisting and turning, both horizontally and vertically!
I had a positive and helpful exchange with a security guard in the visitor's center--she helped direct me to the 110 69th street location (which is beautiful--though covered in scaffolding! Let's hope for a lovely reveal in 2022).

I attended the biology program as a transfer student and it was the worst mistake of my life. Marymount Manhattan puts up this facade that their small class size sets them apart from any other college in the city. Let me be clear: this school has more downfalls than advantages. This school requires their students to take general education courses as a freshman and then again at junior and senior levels. I was a biology major taking dance, film and painting during my junior year. Just another ploy to make more money.

I was told by an advisor that I would have to graduate a year late to take one single class in spring semester that was only offered every other year. If a class is mandatory for graduation, it should be offered every year. The shortage of staff to teach classes sets an automatic disadvantage for students. How can they expect a student to return to one of the most expensive cities in the world to take one single class?

The adjunct faculty is laughable. I took a painting class and had to buy everything out of pocket. I do not come from money as most students at this school and was told by my professor that my brushes were "too cheap". The courses from this college are impossible to transfer as they are considered a joke at even community colleges.

As a freshman my friend failed her first biology exam. Normal, not everyone is able to adjust to a college style exam right away. She immediately went to see her professor about improving her grade and she was told to change her major and her aspirations to go into medicine over her first ever college exam. Is that pushing your students to be successful?

Maybe the BFA programs are better, but I have only heard negative aspects about them as well. The majority of my anatomy class was failing and nothing was done by the staff to improve lessons regardless of the countless complaints by students.

The graduation rate is laughable. The advisor and bursar offices are laughable. They are quick to take your money for a transcript but never send it out. There is so much more to say about this college but it cannot be done in a single review.

Please do your due diligence before committing to this school. Countless people can tell you the many other options in the city you can choose from.
I transferred here from a big state school and after taking a gap year. As a marketing major in a primarily performing arts focused school, I sometimes feel like not enough attention is given to the business department, but the small class sizes and very focused attention given to each student in the school makes Marymount, in my eyes, a very great institution. This school has been very good to me and I have met a lot of awesome people and am currently working with the career offices to secure an awesome internship for the summer. The individualized attention that each student gets here is only awarded to this who strive for it, and unfortunately there students at Marymount who don't really try and attempt to get over on the faculty because its a private school. But if your looking for a small school in the center of NYC, I highly recommend Marymount.
My wife works there as a security guard so since our profiles are connected u think I was there but iv only gone there on occasion other than that the college is great 👍

Hunter College is a vital source of education in the heart of the city. This institution does excellent work providing a high-quality education for an outstanding number of both graduates and undergraduates students every year. I am extremely grateful for the educational opportunities I experienced here.

It’s a pretty good college among all the CUNY schools. It’s the main campus of Hunter College, the other two big campus are in uptown(for social work major ) and east village(nursing school ). The library and classrooms are nice. However, the office services are really bad, and some people who work there are not nice, sometimes they’re really mean!!!

The CEO and President are really dedicated, hardworking and knowledgeable in the programs being offered. Some students are not there to pursue an education and have different agendas. It is hard to keep everyone happy at all times. They have to follow the most strict regulations to keep offering Federal Financial Aids to the students and continue their accreditation status.
Very lovely chapel and house. The brothers are quite friendly.
Beautiful, peaceful Catholic Church, school, and formation house for religious men.
The Dominicans are definitely fighting the good fight. They have beautiful adoration on special holy days, and it is a beautiful place to see next to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
The building is relatively clean, and has a starbucks and multiple vending machine in side. Rented out a lot on the weekend to Kaplan and other test prep which can lead to confusion.

It's a place that you can easily see them fire any employee in a min just because they like or dislike. The owner and his wife running the business and dragging it into soon eventual death. I have worked for a short time, I've proved my efficiency, But I have seen within a week changing of 3-4 employees on average. Every morning you need to count the faculty and the staff members to see who's missing. it's the easiest decision for them, is to terminate your employment any time without any valid reason. If the school is losing money why tf you are still f hiring new people, and still f post ads for new employment. never saw it in my life people work for days before either they run away, or they get fired. This place is falling apart. it's gonna close soon. you will receive no benefits, they will put on your contract a condition says that they are allowed to fire you anytime for 6 months without giving you a reason

I Came into the school In August 2016 . I did not have a high school diploma or GED. While in prospect , I got a second wind . I got my High Diploma and I became a Medical Assistant . I was hired before I completed school making great pay and benefits. I can be home on the weekends and nights with my kids. If you seriously want to change your life , I recommend Prospect College.
Prospect College is by far the best Post secondary certificate program for excellent education and training. Highly recommended
I received three evening robo-fundraising calls within a week that began with the robo-caller saying not to worry, they were just calling to see how my child is enjoying the school.
After that, it became a fundraising pitch.
If they want to see how my child is doing, they can ask my child.
Three calls, all in the evening, within one week, and with a deceptive script.
Marymount Manhattan may be a fine school, but their fundraising tactics are sleazy, and the first one alarmed me a great deal.
This is a fantastic school for anyone with passion in the arts. Welcoming, fun, beautiful, fantastic professors. Transferred here from hunter, best decision of my life thus far. So grateful to attend such a university. Small classes so you get the education you deserve.
Marymount Manhattan College is an amazing college that pushes students to be the best. The faculty at this school is fantastic and are experts in their field. From the moment you walk into Marymount Manhattan College, you automatically feel at home and like you belong there. My time at this school thus far has been wonderful and I would not trade my experiences here for anything in the world. I highly recommend this school to all.
Great school! The location is fantastic and the teachers really do care about helping students succeed. The staff are all very kind and everyday will greet you with a smile when you walk in the doors.
