As a current student at FOCUS I can tell you this school is phenomenal. The instructors are top notch and what makes this program so better than other programs is that you receive practical applications to personal training in addition to textbook instruction. If you are considering a career in personal training, take a look at FOCUS.

Don't go here. Classes are based on youtube videos. No books, no real instruction. I know some may find this appealing as an easy grab degree, but what are you really getting out of it other than paying back student loans?
They're extremely helpful in getting in, but once you're there... All this to say that I am not satisfied at all. Do not get into debt for this school. There are better schools out there who offer a better curriculum for similar or less $/ year which has professor engagement. Get a good education if you're going to take out loans.

Have had an incredible experience at the Writers Studio. Reasonably priced and the teachers have been incredible. Can't recommend enough for all levels of writers.
I had an incredible experience at Focus Personal Training Institute, especially thanks to instructor Kyle. His creative teaching approach and patience made each of the 150h Personal Training Foundations class enjoyable. Attending evening sessions after work was not only beneficial for my fitness journey but also a lot of fun. Highly recommend!

Having been out of school for many years, I was unsure about going back to a school in a classroom setting. But the teachers were extremely dedicated and very helpful and willing to answer any questions before and after class. They are extremely attentive and want to ensure your success. The 600 hours course may seem like a lot but it went by very quickly. If you’re doubting this program for any reason, like I did initially I would highly recommend this program. It’s the best decision I could have made.
Class was very well-organized, and I think I learned a lot. Fascinating and varied readings. Excellent critiques from both teacher and fellow students. Not sure about the Campfire format: there tend to be long silences, and it's hard to put faces to the names of the other students. I think I prefer the video chat, but on the other hand, it's nice to get the transcript afterwards or if you miss a class.

Joel Hinman is an outstanding instructor. The course is set up in a collaborative fashion, with ample opportunity for students to interact. The materials are timely, sophisticated, and lend themselves to further study once the course is complete. My work in the class has led to a number of published short stories.
I recently completed Lisa Bass's Level 1 writing class at the Writer's studio, and absolutely loved the experience! Lisa is an exceptional instructor, and demonstrated a profound understanding of the craft of writing, which was evident in her insightful feedback to each participant's work and engaging teaching style. As a beginner, I was initially apprehensive about my writing abilities, but Lisa's guidance and encouragement fostered a supportive learning environment. I looked forward to completing the assignments each week, and the course covered a wide range of writing styles and techniques, which really challenged me and pushed me out of my comfort zone. I highly recommend this writing class to anyone, especially beginners seeking a solid foundation in writing. I look forward to exploring more advanced courses with the Studio in the future! I genuinely want to say that the experience there at Focus was phenomenal, everyone there so willing to help out the students, very professional and have a genuine hearts of gold. My experience there at Focus was such a learning experience, and a very confident one I really do appreciate all of the time that everyone has put in to understand certain needs for certain people willing to always help out and work with everyone no matter what their learning ability was or the current situation or home life if I could give this a rating 1 out of 10 I give this 1 million why because everyone there at Focus has help me get over trauma from my past experiences with school I now have new and positive memories that will last in my head for the rest of my life. I want everyone there at Focus to know that you always be Thought about and never forgotten I really enjoyed this school experience and if I can do it again because it was such a welcoming an amazing experience I’d definitely do it again thank you guys of focus a thousand times thank you

I did the part time program at Focus and I have to say it was as such an enjoyable experience! It was such a welcoming environment and everyone from my classmates to teachers were so nice. I learned so much about personal training and health and really learned a lot about myself at Focus. I would absolutely recommend checking it out if it’s something that catches your eye.
FTPI is an amazing institution. Where do I even start? From the instructors to the application of what we learn in class on the floor, they really offer so much knowledge. This is one of those courses you can take if you have no experience or 10 years of experience. I feel that you will always have something valuable to take away from your experience here. I strongly recommend studying here if you want to get started in the fitness industry with a huge leg up.
I absolutely loved the Foundations Course at FPTI. There’s support from every department and everyone does everything in their power to help you retain & understand information. Every class was engaging (shout out to Kyle, whoop) and it’s nice to be in a room full of people passionate about the same things. I will definitely be coming back to take some more classes.
The professors were great, however trying to obtain your transcript is a headache. The institution doesn’t work with parchment or any transcript ordering site. You must order directly through them, when you call to inquire if it has been sent you are told they can’t see that information. They claim they are only able to see transcripts that were emailed, when you ask if you can have it emailed you are then told that they must first confirm it wasn’t mailed. They then let you know the individual who does the mailing is out of the office and will reach Bach out to you, my transcript was ordered over a week ago and now my degree cannot be awarded from my current University because The College of Westchester is lacking in their duties. Stay away from this institution as you will be paying double for classes and in the end you can’t even get your transcript!
I have taken four classes (beginner, then intermediate; both in-person and online) of The Writers Studio and each has been rewarding and enlightening. The teachers care deeply and it's an incredible way to work on the craft of writing and learn the art and science of providing a thoughtful and constructive critique. In fact, I think of all the skills I was able to glean from the class, being able to critique others' work (and therefore approach mine more objectively) was one of the most valuable. If you are a growing amateur writer, a more professional writer or simply a hobbyist aiming to advance your skills, the writer's studio is a great investment.

Their highly efficient classroom instruction from a NYS Licensed Regester Nurse, combined with the practicum has prepared me very well for the State CNA exam,

Focus is without a doubt the best school for personal training. The staff there is a amazing and really help and push you to accomplish your goals. I made many new friends and the knowledge that I gained has helped me tremendously in the field of personal training. This school didn't just change my life but changed my whole perspective on the fitness industry.

The instructor Mr. Moye was exceptional at keeping the class engaged and made it entertaining.
Trash. I wasted a year and a half? back in 2014 after high school. I failed the same class twice and I was told I couldn’t attend next semester, that I would have to go to WCC (which I did and I was better off) take the class I failed and would be welcomed back to CW. I come to find out from WCC that they only accepted my credits from English and Math. The rest of my credits weren’t accepted (I wasted my time going to this school and I’m left with paying back over 9k for NOTHING) You’re better off anywhere else. This is just one small building looking for money.
This is hands down the best school to get your GED. Sadly i couldn’t finish completely here, they are really supportive & helpful the teachers are amazing. I really appreciate Ms.White she’s the best & always motivated me & made sure i was alright. Thank you guys i appreciate it !!
One of the best training school for cna certification. I did my cna training from them few years back. They help you with job placement. And the teacher I had she was one of the best. Would definitely recommend them
As with most schools, one's experience varies depending on the teacher. The school 's focus on voice unlocks creativity and has pushed me to elevate my work. I particularly enjoyed my level 2 classes with Lael Cassidy, Flash Fiction class with Nancy Matsunaga, Janelle Drumwright's "How to Submit Work" class and some Craft Talks. Other classes were less of a fit for me given the teacher's pedagogic style.
I took the Excel for Business Fundamentals. It was great class in person at 185 Madison Avenue. I learned tips and shortcuts that will save me hours during work. I found it to be interactive and engaging. I highly recommend for anyone looking to expand their Excel skills.
If I can give the New Millennium training center 10 starts I would. I just graduated March, 2022. 🎓

Mrs. Kelly was very sweet, and she did a great job. She took the time to listen to my questions , gave a good answers and was really good with going over the lesson plan and answering all questions.

I don't know about the 2 other previous reviews which were negative but my experience at the college of Westchester was and always will be the best I've ever experienced. With smaller class sizes it makes it easier for professors to actually connect which each student, also student life is flourishing despite the downfall due to the rise of pandemic in 2020. And not to mention the facility staff are amazing and very kind as well as understanding

I graduated in 1986, with a certificate in computers. Only 2 interviews no job offers. A for profit private trade school. Do not let there corporate promises of jobs after graduation lead you. 10 per cent graduate with no job prospects.
Good place to pick thing back up. I’ve attended this center twice, Left due to a personal situation. The second time I attend is when the pandemic started. I’m going again to get my HSE. Idk but I like this place, everyone was helpful
I took the 16 hour course and the instructor was very nice and informative. The instructor was patient and made the class go by way faster and easier. I learned so much and feel ready to start! I definitely recommend this training school.
This class was immaculate. Learned a lot and the teacher Jose was incredible and did very well going over everything we needed to know. It was a great experience and worth it.

I am a recent MA graduate of New Millennium and I can not say enough good things about them!! From the very beginning I knew I was in the right place to get a jump start in my career as a medical assistant when Art the director showed how passionate he was and informing me of all the things they do in the program and for success. They went above and beyond COVID regulations in making sure the safety and health of the students was their number 1 priority. The teacher Kelly was absolutely phenomenal. She is beyond experienced, extremely knowledgeable in the field and makes the class a pleasure to attend every day. As I prepare to take the national exam, I feel very prepared as Kelly instilled all that we needed to succeed on the exam. Michelle is extremely active in finding the perfect externship to place each student. I was very fortunate to be hired through my externship as well as getting a full time job shortly after in a rehab facility. As someone who almost settled for another program elsewhere that would not have given me half of what I have, I HIGHLY recommend looking into New Millennium first!!
This college is absolutely garbage. Charging students boatload of cash for class. 780 per credit is outrageous. 780*15 credit is $11,700 plus fees. Tuition is $35,100 with An additional $900 for student service fee, per semester. $500+ for books. CW name doesn’t hold any weight on you diploma. You will not get a job just because you attended this school. This college will leave you drowning in student debt, with no income to pay them back. If I could I would give them negative star. Someone should sue them.
I went to this school to take some math classes and it was the best experience ever. Ms. Vaughn Berger is an excellent math teacher and took her time explaining problems to the class. I was able to receive my high diploma because of her. Thank you everyone at this school :) beyond grateful
I attended the medical assistant program 5 years ago. the staff there is awesome. my teacher was Kelly who made class fun and interesting. The class hands on which i love. I graduated and became a certified medical assistant. Art helped me find a job after i graduated. ive been in the same in job for 5 years now and now i am a supervisor. i definitely recommend this program.
They are simply the best! Had a fantastic experience learning all of the nuances of Excel with great instructors and a fun, user friendly learning structure. 10/10 would absolutely recommend to friends and colleagues looking for high quality training.
The classes are very informative; whether you are just looking for a refresher or looking to gain some new skills. Instructors like Patrick are patient enough to go through exercises multiple times and make sure students understand. He also has a very comprehensive understanding of Excel and is a very valuable instructor
Ms. Marie is the best CNA instructor for the records. she is very practical that even the dullest student understand what's taught😍

I moved to Michigan and didnt have to reseat for certification because I was taught well and active. Yeah!!! Am so excited and have to drop this report. If you want value for your money go to New Millennium.

I took the MS Access level 1 class here. It was a fantastic class, mainly because of the instructor. Garfield was incredibly knowledgeable, offered background on any questions we had, and gave great tips on how to use Access in your personal life. This was a full day class and went by very quickly because it was packed with a ton of info. The facilities were top notch and all materials needed were provided by NYIM. I would definitely take a class here again.
I would love to start by saying I had a wonderful experience at the new millennium training Center the instructor Kelly was the best teacher she was not only a teacher she became a friend and she taught us everything and more and I feel very confident working in the field and doing everything correctly she really taught us a lot and I learned a lot I made a lot of friends everybody was nice it was a very professional hands on atmosphere it was excellent and I would refer this training center to anyone who asks me. Also Michelle is a sweetheart and Art they anytime you call they pick up the phone it was really great they’ll find you a job jobs call them they called me saying doctors need a medical assistant even Kelly the instructor also they are very good you can leave your resume with them and they will find you a job I feel it was the best for me and I really enjoyed it. Thank you 😊
This school is absolutely great! I’m talking about the medical assistant classes, the instructor is such an amazing teacher she helped me boost my confidence to do great in this field. This class is very hands on which I love. Certain lessons I found difficult but with help of the students and the teacher I was able to pass no problem. I totally recommend this class to anyone who wants to become a medical assistant in a short period of time only 4 months in class then I’m off to my externship for training, I really enjoyed my time in the class such a friendly environment, only wished I knew about this class earlier
I had a fantastic experience in NYIM's Intermediate Excel class. Staff were very helpful in guiding me on which course to take based on my current skill set. Scheduling was easy as there were multiple days, times, and formats offered. I took the course over two weekday nights with Garfield. The facilities are clean and modern and offer complimentary water, coffee, and snacks. Garfield was an expert and made learning excel fun (which is not easy to do). I am able to apply what i learned directly to my work. At the end of the course, they offer a handout, online courses, and a copy of the work book from the training which make it an incredible value. Would highly recommend NYIM for any excel training, and will definitely be booking advanced excel courses with them in the near future.
Had an amazing experience taking Excel for Business Level 2 at NYIM. The excel class helped me get back up to speed on a ton of fundamental techniques and short cuts, and the instructor was awesome. They even gave us videos to look at after we finished the class for some extra help on our own time. The actual location was convenient and comfortable, they gave us coffee tea and chcocolate- an overall great experience. Will definitely be going back for level 3.
Amazing place to take pottery lessons!
Great Excel class! I'm a pretty seasoned Excel user, so there were parts that were definitely review, but I still learned a whole lot. Michael kept the pace up, though not too fast, and he wasn't married to his agenda. He was flexible and was willing to answer questions at any time. The course materials were great, too, and there was sufficient time built in for completing exercises. I highly recommend.

I took a ESL class. My test score was their level 4 but they didn't have class for level 4. so I was sent to class for level 3 but the class was good.. good teacher, and good classmates..
But they suddenly changed my class to the lower level after 2weeks.
I tried to explain that they made a mistake but an rude black woman(she is a supervisor, but the office told me she is principal of the school when I asked them about principal in order to explain my situation.) NEVER listen and ignored me and even yelled ignorantly, just keeping say 'go to new class!!!!!!! You have to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'
Most of students at the school are adults but they treated us like kids because we can't speak english well. Her attitude was very rude.
I think they have some good teachers but people in their office and supervisor are terrible. But teachers don't have power. The supervisor keep watch on the teacher and call the teacher out to the door with her finger shaking during the class. Their behavior is ignorance and impolite.

This was a great class! Michael Magreta, our professor was great as well. He answered all of the questions and went into every exercise with great detail. The pace was excellent and I liked that I had a lot of personalized attention even though we were a group. The only negative aspect was the classroom itself because the air conditioning system was not great, so it was kind of hot inside.
I had a very good and profesional tutor innthe class for the TASC certification!! Ms Cynthia is awesome!!
I have not started classes yet but so far this school has offered me the BEST guidance. The staff works one to one with each student, they don't rush or pressure you. They seem to be your cheerleader until you graduate and they don't let you fall. I love how friendly everyone has been, it motivates me to keep going. The school seems very small which makes me more focus more, a little pricey yes but the money is worth it when they provide you such a good team and service. I am very satisfied as of now =)
2023 update: I got my Associates in 2018 & Bachelor in 2020. Thank you College of Westchester for helping me through my busy full time job.

This is a great college to go to because they do teach you the fundamentals you need to take into the business world. the teachers are very friendly and overall the college is great place to learn. the staff really do attend to your needs and make sure they work with you to make sure you pass with a good grade. You can actually talk to the teachers about anything and they make you feel at home and they want you to succeed.
