An amazing store that my and my family have frequented for nearly two decades. I’ve recently brought them my 35mm and 120 film for development/scans and have been thrilled with the results.
Good quality and for some things I would give them a 4 or 5 star review but over priced on certain things. Charged $21 to get photos from a CD put on to a thumb drive… that’s just stealing money. It literally costs them nothing to do that.

I was traveling to New York with my family and wanted a family shoot. The photographer I was messaging ghosted me and then I found Little New York Photography. I was simply amazed that not only she booked me last minute but she did stunning work. She took her time capturing every detail of my family and was super patient with my shy youngest. I will definitely refer her and use her again if I’m ever in the New York area.
I visited for the first time today to get quite a few pictures to make a collage for my daughter’s school homework. Erin helped me a ton with the math for the picture size. I was photographed for a series by Priyanca and I walked in frazzled, a new mom, full of a hectic morning and shaky confidence. I wasn’t anticipating these photos to come out well because I didn’t feel great - but Priyanca changed everything about my day. Her confidence with the camera, the way she speaks and interacts with her subjects to capture their essence and passions, and the way she knows how to work with their personalities to showcase their inner and outer beauty is unparalleled. I was thrilled with the result and will be going back for more. Can’t recommend her enough.
Priyanca did a great job capturing our family portraits in her home studio and central park. She was able to engage and keep my 6 year old excited throughout the session which I was very grateful for. She is also flexible and does her best to accommodate her clients needs and expectations.

Priyanca invited me to her home studio for a photo series she is working on. She sent me detailed information, weeks in advance, on the looks I could choose and was prepared when I arrived. She has an excellent eye and good at making you relax in front of the camera. The photo shoot was breezy and she engaged with me the entire time. This helped me relax and open up to her directions for the portrait. She is great at portrait photography and I highly recommend you book her for your next photo shoot!

Poor service. I was printing a simple passport photo and the attendant didn't direct me to the more affordable self-service kiosk at the other section of the shop. He charged me full price and printed the photos at the same kiosk machine.
He printed 8 copies because of the minimum size of the photo paper and only give me 2 because the price packages only include 2. When asked politely if I can get the rest of the pictures rather than them being thrown away. He threw the photos to the trash and said "business is business". Clearly doesn't understand business

Inexperienced crew took horrible shots with bad lighting. They dont give out the whole file. They only give you select few photos. Mean nasty service
Great experience on our wedding day in NYC. Delighted we chose Karen to take our pics. She was very responsive in advance and offered guidance where needed. She was very relaxed on the day and took amazing pictures throughout... capturing all the classic posed pictures as well as some nice relaxed, more natural pictures too.
Its not a 3 star photography its a one star. Horrible service. Lazy crew who didn’t take photos from the main highlights of the wedding like chuppa and chossen kallah dancing
Wonderful experience working with Marzena. We did a pregnancy photoshoot and loved it so much we booked the newborn with her as well. Shes flexible, professional and perfectly captured every member of my family - including my dog!
While Karen made it appear effortless; it takes tremendous skill to capture each member of our family all together for a natural and happy portrait. We were blown away all of our photos. All our photos are heartwarming and the quality of the images are superb!

This was our 2nd newborn shoot with Marzena which is the ultimate endorsement in and of itself. Moreover, there are so many great things about having Marzena as your photographer that I will describe below:
--From the beginning, Marzena is timely and prompt with communicating over phone, email, and text to exchange ideas of what you are looking in a photo session. She is also very flexible with timing your session which is a must when booking a newborn photography shoot because delivery dates are hard to predict.
--Obviously, she is a very talented photographer who will capture some timeless pictures creating some indelible memories for your families. But equally important, she has a lot of patience in helping pose and create shots managing a newborn that needs to be fed or changed or a toddler who may be waning in patience. She has a special knack for connecting with toddlers helping them get excited for the session and a way of soothing newborns as she poses/styles them for some unique images.
--She has a great studio with a lot of great props/styles too for the session. As parents of a toddler and a newborn, not having to worry about this was a huge weight off of our shoulders. And since we had gone through her portfolio ahead of time, we had told her some of the styles/props we liked from her other sessions and she had everything set up in her studio before we even got there which helped us jump right into the session.
She is the consummate professional and one who will deliver some photos / memories you will treasure forever!

We can’t say enough good things about Little New York Photography. We brought our 2 week old daughter to Marzena for newborn photos. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Before our session, we provided photos of our nursery decor. When we arrived, Marzena had settings ready that matched our theme. She handled the baby with care and expertise - feeding, swaddling and dressing the baby while I had my hair and makeup done. And the photos! We loved all of them and had such a hard time deciding which ones to choose. The variety of poses gave us so many options for our birth announcement and newborn photo album. We recommend Marzena highly and we’ll definitely be back for toddler photos.

I’m so so happy that Karen was referred to me to take our family photographs! To start off with – the photos she took are Wonderful. She sent along an amazing variety of shots - it made me so happy to have so many great ones to choose from. I’m very particular about certain angles working better for me than others in photos, and Karen was extremely accommodating in helping me present myself in a way I felt comfortable without making a big deal about it. We all are looking our best in the photos she delivered, thanks to some magic of staging/lighting/composition that Karen had (I don’t know much about photography), but we also look like US. We look comfortable, happy, and Karen captured a variety of moods – sweet photos, funny photos, etc – in a variety of settings. For photos this good, I’m amazed at how low-key the session was! It only took a little over an hour, and included photos at three locations in our neighborhood. The whole vibe was extremely casual and chill - Karen was easy to be with, and was great with our one-year-old daughter. Leading up to the shoot, she responded to all my communications quickly (including looking at photos of possible outfits for my young daughter and giving me advice on which ones might photograph well), and on the day of the shoot she arrived promptly with all her own equipment which she set up quickly. We had such a good experience with Karen, we’re definitely planning on making family photos an annual tradition.
Justine has a fantastic eye that is able to find and capture the essence of a family. She portrays people, families, and the emotions between them beautifully. We used Justine Cooper back in 2016 for a family photo session and the images from that shoot remain as some of my personal favorites. Recently, I contacted Justine for replacement images of that 2016 shoot. (I lost downloaded images in a hard drive malfunction and I needed images from 2016 for my daughter's elementary school yearbook.) Justine reposted the album within minutes of receiving my inquiry and I was able to find the perfect "kindergarten" image of my daughter. Justine also re-sent me the assets I'd lost to download again. Her customer service is exceptional and I'm deeply grateful for how much she helped someone whom she hasn't worked with in six years! (Worth noting, we would have continued to work with Justine but we moved out of the area.)
We are so excited we got to work with Karen! She took beautiful photos of our wedding and managed to put us completely at ease throughout the day. A miracle! She seemed to be able to magically find the unique qualities of us as a couple and to capture those in her photos. Our photos feel very personal and special and really capture the day! I attended a family wedding in which my niece hired THREE STAR photography, specifically through the all-inclusive wedding package. She had a choice to choose various other vendors yet she couldn't of been happier with THREE STAR photography. They treated her to the upmost of respect and kindness that I've seen lacked in other vendors. They emphasized a willingness to learn about what mattered to her. Upon receiving the photos, her and her now husband couldn't of been more impressed by the artistic vision and storytelling skills of the photographers. Additionally, the office staff were incredibly resourceful, informative, and professional. Truly could not have been better!

Karen took my engagement and wedding photos, and both will be keepsakes I will treasure daily for the rest of my life. Before the wedding, Karen helped me create the perfect shot list that made me feel like I could actually enjoy my wedding day and wouldn't get pulled away from the fun for a million unnecessary photos (and the plan really worked!). Karen has such versatile skills! For example, she shot both film and digital throughout my wedding day, and she was wonderful with posed as well as candid photos. So many of my guests told me after the wedding that Karen (and her second photographer!) was super friendly and they enjoyed being photographed by her. I loved spending the day with Karen, she made me and my wedding party feel very comfortable in front of the camera. It's been about a month since I've had my photos back, but I still have friends texting me their favorite photos of themselves and other guests and saying how amazing and beautiful the photos are. Also, Karen has been featured in prestigious magazines and blogs, so you know you're with a super talented professional.

Justine has taken our family portraits for the past 3 years and I’m always impressed with both the results and the experience. She captures beautiful images of our 4 kids that really show their personalities. She goes above and beyond to make sure we have family portraits, individual pictures, the kids with each other, with us, etc. The combinations are endless! The work product is beautiful and it makes me really happy to go back and look at the photos from year to year. I should add that the whole experience is great. We had a great experience with Justine! She is a true professional and great with kids. One of our biggest concerns was how our 18-month old daughter would be captured because she is an extremely busy child, but Justine was able to capture some great shots of her with the entire family looking at the camera that we can put in our living room. We also wanted shots of both our daughter and 5-year son that we could put in their respective rooms, and Justine was able to capture some pretty sweet and jubilant moments of them together!

Where do I begin? My siblings and I worked with Justine a decade ago where she helped us create a beautiful Mother’s Day album for our mother! My mom is not one to put photos up in our home but she has kept the album Justine made for us out on our coffee table ever since we gifted it to her ten years ago. Fast forward ten years later, I got to experience another shoot with Justine and my own little girl! The photos are breathtaking! Her work is absolutely exquisite. I just got my photos back from my mother-baby session last week and I am beyond thrilled with them! Justine was such a pleasure to work with! She was always prompt with email responses and prepared me well for the photo sessions. She clearly had tons of experience photographing children and was really great at getting my son's attention and making him smile. The locations that she chose for the sessions were great. There are tons of sweet images of me and my son with a nice mix of candid shots and posed shots. I tend to have a hard time finding images of myself that I like and Justine got so many shots and I am happy with. Highest recommendation!

1 - The pictures are unbelievable. I dont know how but they caught every special moment, every smile, the grandparents, the nieces and nephews... I could go on and on. every time we look at the pictures we get to completely relive the event.
2 - 12 years later one of our framed portraits was damaged and we did not have the original file. The team at Three Star was so kind and helpful and spent months digging through the raw photos from 12 years ago to find the right image and send to me so that we can have it printed again. I am blown away by the care that we received!

Justine has taken my family photos for the past 10 years. Justine is a gem to work with and puts my children at ease, my kids actually look forward to these photo sessions. She has wonderful ideas for each shoot and every time we have photos taken I struggle to pick even my favorite 20 photos- there are so many amazing pictures to select from! She captures the personalities and quirks of each of my children. I can't recommend Justine highly enough, I treasure the snapshots in time that her photographs so beautifully capture.

My wife and I selected Priyanca as our engagement shoot and wedding photographer and are so happy we made that choice. Priyanca was easily our favorite wedding vendor checking all the necessary boxes (quality of service, responsiveness, professionalism and flexibility). Many wedding photographers will capture typical poses and don't exhibit much creativity. Priyanca took our concerns into consideration and made every shot thoughtful and unique. One example - my wife and I didn't want to do a first look, however, Priyanca was able to capture an organic one and it came out beautifully. Having a good photographer is extremely important and we'd argue it's the individual you spend the most time with on the day of your big event! Not only that, the photos are the only way you can reflect back on the day. Priyanca was such a pleasure to be around and she even went above her call of duty. We are so grateful to have met such a wonderful person and lucky enough to have her as our photographer. We will remember it forever thanks to her. Thank you so so much!

Hands down the best studio I have used. Its the first option I think of when I need a place to shoot. Great service , easy to get to and a calm friendly working environment. And as for price you can't beat it. Highly recommend to any photographer / model.
Booking Karen to photograph our complete wedding journey (engagement, courthouse, ceremony in Paris) was one of the best decisions we made. I could rave about her artistic vision and eye for detail for days on end, but what I found most incredible was how much I was able to trust her. She was consistent, understanding, and incredibly attentive to our creative vision. She knew how to not only be an amazing photographer, but also a friend, in the process. And during the wedding planning / day-of, there's simply no price tag to put on having someone you can count on. It's a blessing.

Jorge photographed a painting workshop I was teaching at Edward Hopper House in Nyack last weekend. It was a challenging shoot because we had bad weather and as a result had to conduct the entire thing on the front porch of the house. He got some great shots of me doing my demo, the participants in the workshop watching and asking questions and the demo painting in the location. The composition of each photo was well planned and balanced, just as it should be. Jorge was pleasant, professional and completely unobtrusive at the event. I would definitely work with Madrigal Studio again and highly recommend them for any type of professional event.
Best photography. I had them by my wedding really loved them. Sam is the best photographer, he takes beautiful nice classic pictures with a kick. They will never go out of style. It might take some time to get your pictures about 3 to 8 weeks. I really enjoy looking my pictures its beautiful classy and original. Their customer service is also great
One of the greatest Harlem studios I've shot in. Very comfy and prepared with everything I needed to complete my shoot!! Hair station and makeup station had perfect lighting, Alien Bee lights, and so many backgrounds to choose from! Also the block it's located on is so nice and quiet. Love the area!!
A three star rating seems accurate to me. They achieved what they aspire to.

one guy was excellent – photographer #1; thank you for taking good pictures.
one guy was good – photographer assistant #2, he tried hard but he was new to photography
one guy was okay – photographer #2; he got a lot of okay pictures that we won’t use; all the good pictures came from the first photographer.
one photography assistant was kind of like homer Simpson. He would wander around and eat while he was supposed to be working; he also kicked cords out of the walls unplugging lights and was basically irrelevant to the photographer he was assisting.
One guy was a clown. The 4 guys above wore appropriate clothes. The clown wore a bright colored vest and put shining lights in his mouth when the professional photographers were taking pictures. The clown character also wandered into the background of shots, put furniture into the background of shots and spoke negatively about the bride and groom to each other.
It took about 12 months of waiting to get the albums and prints that we ordered. (I’m not included the time I spent deciding what to order). They never said how long the wait would take. One picture was printed wrong 3 times; but they did fix it, and we didn’t really need it right away. A six month turn around might be possible.
The office returns almost all phone calls within a day or two.
The bill was opaque. I got a hand written sheet of numbers on it. Not sure what the charges were and what the payments were but I think they billed me what they said they would. I could not understand how they charge for albums, but they seemed to follow their rules.

one guy was excellent – photographer #1; thank you for taking good pictures.
one guy was good – photographer assistant #2, he tried hard but he was new to photography
one guy was okay – photographer #2; he got a lot of okay pictures that we won’t use; all the good pictures came from the first photographer.
one photography assistant was kind of like homer Simpson. He would wander around and eat while he was supposed to be working; he also kicked cords out of the walls unplugging lights and was basically irrelevant to the photographer he was assisting.
One guy was a clown. The 4 guys above wore appropriate clothes. The clown wore a bright colored vest and put shining lights in his mouth when the professional photographers were taking pictures. The clown character also wandered into the background of shots, put furniture into the background of shots and spoke negatively about the bride and groom to each other.
It took about 12 months of waiting to get the albums and prints that we ordered. (I’m not included the time I spent deciding what to order). They never said how long the wait would take. One picture was printed wrong 3 times; but they did fix it, and we didn’t really need it right away. A six month turn around might be possible.
The office returns almost all phone calls within a day or two.
The bill was opaque. I got a hand written sheet of numbers on it. Not sure what the charges were and what the payments were but I think they billed me what they said they would. I could not understand how they charge for albums, but they seemed to follow their rules.
Bottom line. Three star was the worst part of the wedding, but they were still okay.
One of a kind and a true talent. Every photo shoot is original and creative. Terri is the absolute best photographer we have ever worked with.

raul and stephanie are super professional and easy to work with. the space was immaculate. great ammenities with a full kitchen and full bath with shower- even a full size clothes steamer and properly lit mirror for makeup and hair.

Keston is extremely knowledgeable. His direction and instruction on lighting setup enhanced my images tremendously. I feel like I went from hobbyist to professional! I'm excited and even more passionate about photography!
Extremely professional with top quality work! I had some executive head shots done. Jorge and his wife were an absolute pleasure to work with. They were extremely patient and detail oriented. I would highly recommend their services.
We have used Justine for the past 2 years to take family photos and Justine has been wonderful to work with. We have had her shoot at our apartment and also outside in Central Park. When we first hired Justine, she came to our apartment and was very patient about letting my 1 year old daughter warm up to her. She was very accommodating with any ideas or requests we had and was very patient working with my daughter. She is very easy-going and great with kids. All of our pictures have turned out great and we always get compliments on how beautiful the photos are. Justine is also very helpful when it comes to deciding what to order once we view the photos. We have been completely satisfied with all the products we have ordered through Justine. She was not pushy about the products and was respectful about what we wanted to do. I would highly recommend Justine and plan to keep using her in the future to document our family moments.
My husband and I both had professional head shots done at Madrigal Studio. We were both very happy with the photos. We felt they paid great attention to the details. We were so impressed that we brought our dog Tashi in for her portrait. Ellie and Jorge Madrigal were great with her, very patient. The photos turned out terrific. Will have to make it a yearly event!
The studio is a little pricey, but the service was five star. We did not have an appointment, but when we said we can not get the kids together for a family photo another time, they accommodated us. Very friendly and professional service. We really enjoyed our experience.
