NOT A RECORDING STUDIO! They rent the space as a recording studio when it is not allowed to play any kind of live music in the space. You end up renting and bringing all your equipment here and the other tenants in the building will interrupt you continously as this is not meant to be a recording studio. It is not acoustically isolated, the rules of the building do not allow to make this kind of noise, and it is an activity which does not work with the rest of the buildings occupancy. You will be interrupted all the time and are wasting your money if you rent the space out to record any kind of music.

I’ve been coming here for over 2 years now for film development and scanning and I’m obsessed with everything about Pro Image!! They have given me my film back as quick as an hour, the longest I’ve ever waited was 6 hours. The scan quality is pretty HQ even if you don’t pay extra for high-res. I’m not a professional photographer, but have taken over 2k film pictures, been to countless places for film development and Pro Image is really best of the best!!
Called in last minute on Sunday to take passport photos, and Maria was so willingly to accommodate me even though the studio was closed on a Sunday. Pictures look fire! Definitely recommend!

The photos that my friend's and I took here came out excellent and were very fun to take. The customer service is awesome, and the options are endless for nice, fun high-quality glamour shoots.

We hired Maria for our daughters Sweet 16. We are so glad we did. Not only were our daughters photos amazing, but the entire experience on that day was incredible. Additionally, Maria helped us create the most unique thank you cards where we got the most positive feedback. Without hesitation would I reach out to her again.
First I went to Fedex. After many attempts they couldn't reduce a colored image from 8.5 x 11 to half that size. In desparation I went down Broadway to Pro Image. I encounter Eliana and Grace. Could not have been more helpful and charming. Every time I encountered a glitch, they were there in a nanosecond. The end product was fabulous. I told them they should put out a sign "We specialize in helping Seniors and computer novices at no extra charge". They said weren't allowed to and have to rely on word of mouth and GOOGLE REVIEWS. thank you, thank you, thank you Eliana and Grace.
If you’re looking for European (Greek) passport photos , don’t waste your time with the other photographers listed on the Greek Consulate’s recommendations page. Maria was super-responsive, accommodating with appointment times and clearly understands the standards & expectations for picture quality expectations/processing passports in Greece.
I’ve been coming here for around a year and I’ve always been super happy with their work. The staff is all very chill, patient, and helpful as I’ve been learning more about film photography, and I’m always very happy with the scans/prints. And they have a great selection of film, some cameras, frames, and accessories! Here’s a few shots they’ve developed for me just to show their nice work unedited, all shot on 35mm film either full or half-frame.

Visited Tolios Photography for my (Greek) passport photos and found it the best experience. Completely assured by Maria with her professionalism. For example, she took multiple photos and then went through each one to request my feedback. She also provided her consultation to the best one. I really appreciated her time and expertise and trust her implicitly for future photographic services. I would rate 5+ stars if possible.
The pictures were originally good but she facetunes all of them without the consent of those being photographed.
This company has been taking my photos for more than 10 years, and they are the best of the best, I live in Colombia, South America and I always come here for my photography studies. I recommend it, you will like it. I will show you some photos so that you have an idea of how good they are:
Damaged my film. Scans were subpar and required a lot of touching up to be useable. Even more disappointing is the staff. Across the board each staff made me feel as they were doing me a favor at every turn and I left each time with an icky feeling. Safe to say I won't be returning.
Maynard is the best! He makes you feel so comfortable and at ease. He knows what he’s doing. Affordable prices as well. It’s time to stop looking and go here! My headshots/photos turned out nicely!

Mr. Manzano is the best in town! I took both my undergraduate and graduate photos with him! He is always so welcoming and flexible! He also has a quick turn over time and you will receive your photos back quickly! I would highly recommend him for any kinds of pictures you need taken! Great customer service and great prices!!!
Got a large painting printed here to hang on my wall. Had to order from the stock sizes, but they were kind enough to cut it to the frame size for me. Perfect fit for the frame, and the colors look great! Would definitely recommend for large and high-quality jobs like this.
The team at The 9 Studios have been exceptionally helpful and responsive to every members needs and requests. The studios are bright, airy and clean and the other members have all been very warm and welcoming (and helpful with tips when needed). I would suggest anyone looking for a friendly and professional space for photo/video/event needs check out this place.
Beth is an amazing photographer. She is a true artist. I have always loved seeing her creativity and vision come to life. Her attention to detail is second to none. Beth has a great way of making everyone feel comfortable while taking photos. She knows the best techniques to make people look their best and relaxed. There is no one else I would recommend to take photos of kids - she is wonderful with them! I'm so glad that Beth has been there to photograph some of the biggest moments of my life: from my engagement, my maternity shoot, and now she takes adorable photos of my son! Beth has been photographing my children for almost 17 years, since my first child was born. She is the best! I have the most incredible pictures documenting my 3 children from birth though all of their milestones. Beth takes holiday pictures and creates our card and every year we get told that our card is by far the best, all thanks to Beth! Beth has such a calm and easy demeanor and has gotten my children from colicky infant to cranky teen to smile and take beautiful pictures. Your expectations will be far exceeded and you will have photos to cherish for a lifetime.
I rented DenBK a couple of times, and most recently for a last minute shoot, and they really made it happen for me. The studio is beautifully kept, has great character, clean, and the staff was super accommodating. This is my go to space for sure, even though I have moved out of the neighborhood, I still love working here.
Beth is talented and easy going - the studio's atmosphere allows you to relax and be yourself. She has captured beautiful moments for our family over the years and I could not be more grateful. Even my dog loves Beth :D

In one word- just wow! Such a big, beautiful and precious space. Had my first but not last photo shoot at double 6 studio last week, definitely coming back. Highly recommended!

That’s studio is pretty big and it has all the equipment that you need. Sometimes is nice to bring your own. The places is clean huge. They have speaker and good lighting for the shoot but adding more light is most recommended. Bathroom and room changing area is provided as well. We throw an event here that went very successfully. Beth Capuano Photography in West Nyack is an amazing business. Beth has photographed both of my daughters for milestone events such as Communions and Senior portraits and the end result is always perfection. I can't say enough about working with Beth! She took my daughter's senior pictures and they were just fantastic! My photography career has skyrocketed since joining The 9. The owners are super awesome to work with. The space is always clean and organized before every shoot. There are tons of options and multiple studios you could shoot from. The possibilities are endless. No matter what you’re shooting you’ll be covered. Every photographer should have a studio to call home. The 9 Studios is my home.
I've been a member at The 9 Studios for about 4 years now and would definitely recommend the space to any photographer looking to have access to spaces for personal projects/ client work on a budget.
Both Matt and Charlie are very responsive and fair when dealing with members. Matt is always available with anything concerning the Brooklyn location and I've been really satisfied with the way the studio has evolved from a single location in NoHo a few years ago.

Michael is a gifted photographer. He took several photographs of me ( portraits, some posed, a few candid); the photographs showcased his talents at not simply capturing his subjects ( as this case me) but also his keen sense of angles, framing, lighting and that extra knack for taking the shot at just the right moment when all these elements are present thereby showing his subjects at their very best. Highly recommended!
I had the most amazing experience shooting a boudoir photo session with Michael. He is professional and at the same time fun, friendly, and relaxed. He makes you feel at ease while handling every aspect of the process skillfully, constantly being inspired by the vibe of the shoot, so you end up with a set of images that look effortless yet polished and beautiful. Not sure what I loved more: the experience itself or the images that came out of it. :) I think everyone should increase their confidence and sense of their own beauty by doing a boudoir shoot... and Michael is the most wonderful person to do it with. 10 stars ;)
Using Images by Michael Mansfield has been a key component in our success in the startup world. With absolutely stunning, high resolution images, Michael has captured our events in a manner simply unmatched by the typical 'fresh out of Film School' contractors we have used in the past (lazy, tardy, expensive!). Michael was different, he brought these images to life and captured such a plethora of emotions in every photo. He has a rare gift in this industry, and we are grateful to have him in our corner. An ok space at a budget price. The 9 studios is a average studio space that is suffering from neglect and equipment maintenance issues. The studio space was in fair but dirty condition with "most" equipment to be functional. Expect EQ issues and bring your own lighting if you are doing paid work. In the end you get what you pay for with the 9 studios.
Continued to bill me for months after my membership ended, even after they said they would refund me. Studio was never in great shape, often smelled like rotting things or gas. Equipment was falling apart and barely usable. Regretted signing up pretty quickly.
Truly my favorite studio when shooting in Brooklyn! Jared and his team are super amazing and by far the best... Highly recommended!

I had the best experience with Beth who photographed my daughter, who is all of five months old. The time and care that Beth took really impressed me and my wife. Beth is the total professional and so easy to work with. She listens, understands what you want, and delivers pictures that exceed all expectations. Beth did a photo shoot at my daughter's dance school. She does do nice photography, but I am not impressed with her as a business woman. I found her to be very unprofressional. Anytime I would call or email her she would take several days, sometimes over a week to get back to me. I wanted to order a collage of photos and it took almost three months in dealing with her for my final layout. When she finally sent me a sample layout it didn't even have the correct pictures that I had chosen and then when it came time for pricing she was all over the place with it. She quoted me a price in the very beginning when I had discussed with her what I wanted to do and then tried to charge an additional $135 at the end, claiming that I added more than what she anticipated, when in fact I never added any additional photos to the collage. The number of photos we discussed was the same number in the final layout. So when I questioned her about the price increase she actually got very nasty with me. Unfortunately, I never purchased from her because as a business professional you should try to make your customer happy or at least be nice when they question you about something you have changed drastically. She never once apologized for the way she handled things and she never once tried to make the situation better. Needless to say, I have nothing positive to say about the women. I would never use her in the future, nor would I refer anyone to her.
