We had signed up our son for the semester but all classes were consistently either not happening or at an other location far from the original place. Cancelling the subscription is nearly impossible. This place is a scam.

Great coaches and guided my kids very well! highly recommended

Let's talk about the zumba instructor Carrisa. She is absolutely arrogant, aggressive, rude, and belittling to others. I was mortified for the person she was yelling at. She stopped her music to yell at a poor girl for having her phone out. The girl stated that she was sorry and she didn't know and quickly put her phone away.

Carrisa continued to belittle her and embarras her, telling her, she should have came to class on time to hear the rules. (my thought was okay, she said sorry and put her phone away, why continue to belittle her?)

Carrisa then threatened that if it happens again, she will not continue the class. I was beyond embarrassed for the girl being spoken to like a child, omgsh. When someone in the back nicely said calm down carrisa and breathe, probably in attempt to calm the situation, Carrisa yelled "NO".

This is beyond unprofessional of the instructor and this is not the first time. People let it slide, why because she's a instructor? No this is uncalled for. If I were that girl being talked that way I would be offended and pissed.

Disgusting behavior of carrisa and how long will her behavior be tolerated? How long will her employer think it is okay to speak to people who pay to come there? She is a bully and did I mention arrogant? I will not be returning to her zumba class.

Gym time is a time for me to prepare myself for the week or for the next day. If I were that lady, I probably would be wanting to go take boxing classes after.

Carrisa needs to find another profession that does not include people because she clearly has zero people skills.

They are constantly cleaning here. It’s a big gym, with an area for women only. It’s ALWAYS busy when I go, which makes sense because it’s a nice gym. I rarely see issues with the equipment not in working order, they have bottle filling stations, and a little cafe inside as well. The group fitness classes are free, and no sign up required in most cases. They also offer childcare for an additional expense. There’s a sauna and steam room included in the membership fees as well. I only wish there was one closer to me, was less busy, and that it also included tanning.

I have been going to this location for years and alot seem to have change and have gotten worse. The customers at this location are so rude and entiled where they feel they can speak to the young workers who are behind the front desk any type of way. Customers are not always right and furthermore why does Management tolerate that for their employees? I see why they have a high turnover. Always someone new working. I saw a lady scream at young girl behind the counter about her card. I don't get it. You were irresponsible and lost your card, yet it's the young ladies fault it isn't found? And the manager "Kay" just stood there letting that poor girl get disrespected. I was disgusted. "Kay" needs to be fired or relocated. The many times I've been in, she seems like a bully on a power trip. I grew up in this city and it's sad that people move here with their distasteful behaviors. This city was never filled with this much rudeness. If Management are saying it's okay for workers to be treated nasty by customers, then they need better management. It's gross coming from the older generation to think that is appropriate behavior. Grow up!

Garrett is a great instructor who made me feel very safe and comfortable in the class! All the staff are very friendly and the gym is so clean. I can’t wait to keep coming here.

Coach G is incredible! I highly recommend signing up for hoops academy if your child loves basketball and wants to improve. My 9 year old has been really inspired and has a lot of fun :-)

I love this gym. It's a perfect mix of down-to-earth and nice. There's always such an upbeat vibe here. Generally fixes my mood if I feel beat down 😹 it gets pretty busy in the early evenings, which can feel overwhelming....but I can always find some machine that's open. AND I love the awesome classes!!

I’ve had a great time at this gym so far. Love having access to an outdoor pool. The classes have been great. I have a weird schedule so they don’t always align. Again I go at weird times so it’s never super busy. For the price, it’s definitely worth it. Feels sooooooo much nicer than the LA Fitness I used to go to. Very clean and I’ve never had any sort of issues.

This gym is awesome! Indoor walking track is a must during the summer. I work with a trainer 2x a week at Eastern location. His name is Lou and would recommend him highly!

We signed our 13 year old son up for one on one basketball lessons. It has only been a few lessons with Coach G and my son has gotten so much better in basketball. Coach G takes his time to teach and he cares about the kids’ learning. He provided my son with confidence and a good foundation. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this place. I highly recommend Coach G and Hoops Academy NYC to anyone. Definitely worth it.

I'm a long time member and generally enjoy the gym . But I have an issue that I haven't been able to get resolved. A few months ago they cranked up the music so loud it's obtrusive. I have to blast my own headphones to even hear a podcast. I measured it and it's frequently over 80 decibels which is supposed to be unhealthy . I've tried speaking to team members who couldn't help, to managers who said they had no ability to help , I have tried to contact in corporate and I have tried reaching out several times on social media. This is ruining my experience and my ability to concentrate on my workout . Plus I worry that it's an unhealthy level of volume . I am frustrated with such a simple matter is so difficult to even find someone who I can address this to.

They lie to you about having NBA players coming to their camp. They never show up.

Some summer camp campers are "ghetto thrash" from the projects. Bad children with street attitude threatening my son.

I would highly recommend registering your child with Coach G if your child loves basketball and wants to do better. Coach G is very thorough and disciplined yet Kool. That's quite a package to entrust your child to. We saw great improvement within days of working with Coach....sign your child up today!

I have enjoyed my personal training sessions with Raul. He's knowledgeable, personable, and pushes me for greatness. I highly recommend without reservation.

Coach Gee is great at what he does. His coaching is well balanced in giving kids encouragement, motivating them to push through with endurance, and practicing the drills needed to help improve their form. Definitely recommend anyone looking for a safe, challenging, and rewarding place for kids to grow both in character and in the sport to check out Hoops Academy

This gym is clean and safe (door has a pass code for members only). Everyone is very friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been training with Raul for over three months and it’s definitely been life-changing. I’ve seen so many changes in my body since I started training with him. Combining his workout routine with the meal plan provided has made it so much easier to reach my goal. Raul is very motivating but can still challenge you! Very thankful for him and honestly the cleanliness of the gym.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience with club manager Anthony Reyes. He was unpleasant and rude. He just wanted to sell us a membership and not listen to our needs or why we wanted to come to the gym that day-to attend one of the dance classes they offer. We entered with a club vip pass with intentions to sign up for a membership after trying it out for a day. He rambled and made us late to the class, held onto our IDs without asking for our consent to do so. When questioned later why he did that, he told us that it was company policy. Fair. But they way he answered it was short and kinda fumbling over the reason why it was policy. When I told him that we would have appreciated if beforehand, he would have asked for permission to hold onto our IDs until we left. He blamed us for giving it to him and if we didn't want to do it we could have said something or left. I told him that in the doctor's office that I worked at, we would always ask for permission to get someones ID and then we would scan it and give it right back.He then said that I was attacking him and making it personal. I tried to tell him that understand the policy, I just wanted to know what he was doing with my ID and it would have been nice to be asked to keep it for the hour. He proceeded to be so rude & condescending to us and our mother. The other ladies we spoke to after were very understanding and apologetic. We are thankful for those girls, not sure their names but they were kind. I understand that working in customer service/sales is difficult but as manager I would expect more professionalism and patience with clients who have questions.

Best gym in the neighborhood. Always super clean and friendly staff. They do day passes and weekly passes for purchase if you want to try it out. It was super quick to sign up.

I love coaching style, of coach G & coach Leyla firm, but at the same time finds the way to deliver the information to the kids helps them gain confidence, discipline, perseverance, and strong character. We are lucky to find coaches who not only great as coaches also had good resumes as a former pro players. Keep the great work coach G we love your dedication.

Very clean facilities. Indoor pool is small. Roof pool is tiny. Both still nice features. Holiday hours are typically very short. Extending the holiday hours would be great.

Coach G’s basketball team is incredible. I have two kids, age 6 and 9 who have been enrolled for the past year and they cannot get enough! They are excited to go to practice and even more excited to play in the games. Coach G and Coach Leyla’s weekly practices are high energy, organized and challenging. My boys thrive on Coaches interactive drills and positive/patient energy. As a parent, it was important that my kids feel confident and proud regardless of their skill set and that is what Coach G teaches. Without a doubt my kids have grown as athletes but more importantly they are having fun by two terrific Coaches. We are HUGE FANS!

Best place for kids to grow and learn so much about themselves and basketball. Our son grew mentally so much through this year and became a basketball lover! The team, the coaches (especially coach G) are unbelievable. The main thing beyond being great players is to be ethical and great team members. Beyond recommending! 🙏❤️

It's a shame because this gym has the potential to be great but it falls far short.

Problem one is the staff. They are quite frankly standoffish at best and surly as worst. I recently had one staff member chase me around the shower and peer into my shower stall with me naked (yes really) because it was close to closing time and he apparently really wanted to go home.

The second issue is hours. The gym closes at 9pm on weekdays which is not standard practice for a big city gym. Every other gym in Lakeview pretty much is 24 hours or open until at least 10pm on weekdays. This gym shortened its hours during Covid and never went back to reasonable hours.

The facilities could truly be great with the two pools, etc., but unfortunately the short hours and frequently unpleasant staff make this gym subpar.

One of the best decisions I’ve made

Me and my wife were looking for a basketball program for our son he’s played basketball for a while but never found a good fit. Till we met Coach G and the Hoops Academy day one he made sure our son was learning how to improve his game.

One of the things we love about Hoops Academy is the coach’s just doesn’t throw the kids out on the court they teach them what they are doing wrong. And ways to play the right way. Each kid is treated equally and made to feel like they are a star. My son has also made some amazing friends in his team and outside of the team as well. The in house league games on weekends are great cause even when they playing the coach’s are teaching the kids and the parents all come together to cheer and chat. So if you’re looking for a friendly program for your child look no further than Hoops Academy.

An ok gym, small weight room, not a lot of selections.

The main complaint is the hours. Why are we closing at 9pm? There's absolutely no good explanation for this. When I signed up it was until 9:30. Those of us who workout in the evening have a small window of time after getting off work to get in. You need to extend your hours to at least 10pm.

Wow...I usually HATE hotel gyms. This place is the absolute exception. Free weights...Yep! Machines... yep! Cardio, basketball, pickleball (it's a thing!), pool, sauna... yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. Well maintained too. Very cool!

San Diego Pickleball has done more to build and promote the sport than almost any other organization.
Blake Fidler is the unofficial Godmother of Pickleball in San Diego. Her energy and efforts continue INSPITE of obstacles and push-back .
She runs a very efficient and successful operation..
We should all be more like Blake when we are playing and learning how to play Pickleball.

I cannot recommend this personal training gym enough! Lusas and Jose were amazing personal trainers who helped me achieve my fitness goals in a way that was both challenging and fun. I came to the gym wanting to gain 20 pounds of healthy weight and they were able to help me do just that, all while providing the support and guidance I needed to stay motivated and on track.

From the moment I walked through the doors, I was impressed with the level of professionalism and expertise demonstrated by the staff. Lusas and Jose took the time to get to know me and my fitness goals, and they created a personalized workout and nutrition plan that was tailored specifically to my needs. They were always there to answer my questions and offer support and encouragement when I needed it most.

Overall, I cannot recommend this personal training gym and the incredible trainers, Lusas and Jose, enough. They helped me achieve my fitness goals in a way that was both effective and enjoyable, and I am forever grateful for their guidance and support. Has the potential to be a good gym again. They need longer evening hours, and they need to clean more. There have been drain worms in the shower stalls off and on for a year or two.

They need to stop cutting corners and spend the extra little bit to get the details right.

We had a great lesson with Yael—she went through all of the basics and there was plenty of time to practice at the end of the lesson. She was really energetic and helpful! I would definitely recommend to anyone looking to pick up Pickleball.

This is a nice place to play tennis and pickleball. It would be alot nicer with some updates and a booster for better cell phone reception while in the facility. At times there is no cell phone reception at all. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

This gym is very well appointed with workout equipment in the weights area. Many different machines, multiple resistance types, and a good selection of free weights. They're also is a good lap pool along with some dry and wet saunas and a very large jacuzzi all in common areas. Very good value for the money and you can visit all locations with a single membership. They can improve in cleanliness in many of the common areas and some better maintenance of the machines. Overall, by far a decent gym.

Lovely place, friendly staff. This is a 1 on 1 training facility, it's expensive because you have a trainer dedicated entirely to you during your session, so it makes sense. Totally worth it

Terrible service the employees are rude.

We had Aleeyas Ytee Service remove a huge elm in our back yard. Prior to them starting I worried because almost all of the tree is over power and cable lines. THEY DID GREAT. They roped the limbs down and were super careful. I thought it would take atleast three to four days. They were cleaning up by 4 that same day. They were professional, respectful, and super great to work with. I recommend them to anybody considering tree services

My favorite gym to go to, the only reason for a less star is because shower areas are not the cleanest. I love their classes and women area. We also love that we can drop off our kids to the play area while working out. Staff are nice.

My experience at Sculpture fitness has been amazing . Jose is extremely knowledgeable and informative on how to train each individual to accommodate their needs . I always have a great time and share laughs w the trainers . Although training can be tough , i have seen results and will continue to. Highly recommend to those who will stay consistent! Sky is the limit :)

Amazing consistency with cleaning accompanied with immaculate attention to guest concerns. If towels are needed they are a phone call away. The members are also amazing and open to new interactions.

The quality of the trainers, particularly my trainer, Lucas, was what first reason that brought me to become a client of the gym. The environment is also excellent, the other trainers and the owner Jose are all committed to help you and to provide you with feedback when you need. There is also an up going atmosphere. Helps you during the lazy days.
The fitness program is individualized and designed for your own needs and goals.

Sculpture fitness allowed me to be persistent. They are flexible with my schedule. Going to the gym never felt so easy!

Couldn't ask for a better enrollment process or nicer staff which makes all the difference! Plus the staff doesnt not have a lot of turnover making for a more private/small town/exclusive feel. Super quite and clean. We love the country club feel without the big price tag or egos. Plus one can't go wrong with anything on the menu at the poolside cabana. The only downside is that the pool could use a more frequent vacuum.

In Oct. of 2019 I thought I'd come here to see what this sport was all about, and since then, I've been hooked! The introductory lesson by Blake was very thorough, easy to follow, and learned enough about the basics to begin playing right away. The people here are friendly and welcoming, and Wes does a great job organizing and keeping things flowing.

Very nice place to play tennis! Water is available and nice bathrooms. Nice courts. Great parking. Easy highway access.

Don't ever go swimming in the indoor pool it is very unsanitary i use to work there a few years ago. Okay management , semi racist if you ask me and I have never had to throw out the race card hardly ever. Lovely staff but a bit over priced needs to do better with how the towels are sanitized and washed or stop being cheap and order new towels more often. I cant count how many times they made me hurry and prepare half washed towels to the customers. But over all the place is decent.

It's a huge complex and if you like tennis, racquetball, pickleball or a place to swim, this is your place. The place is pretty expensive, the workout equipment is meager (for those who lift heavy... For normal workouts it's fine) and the indoor pool is tiny. But overall, it's worth the money and the staff is very friendly.

Best boutique club ever. They supply your towels, soap, lady items, hair dryers, lotion for free. The trainers and group instructors are top notch, the tennis facilities are stellar as well as the pool areas. High quality everything.
