2nd time here, so much more appreciation after visiting Brookgreen Gardens. Either way … Bug Spray. Love all of the deep rooted history the area offers.

Went here for a reception party. It’s located at the hill top with some amazing views around. The table mountain casino is just at 10 min drive.

While almost unassuming on the outside it's definitely worth the $2 to self guide a stroll with the marked rooms/map to easily imagine what the Huntingtons' lives were like. We especially appreciated the art studios.
This house is a dream !!!! Definitely is a 100% !! You don’t need to go to Disney !!! Everything is perfect !! It has a huge cinema , play rooms everywhere , all its a dream !!! The pool is Huge and amazing !! The kitchen and the barbacue area OMG !!!! We came with 5 families and all was perfect !!!! We are going to come again soon !!!!
The best house I have ever rented!!! It has everything you need. The swimming pool is beatiful!! Well maintained and clean. And it is jist 10 minutes away from Disney! Amazing

There was no HANDICAP places to park. No Ramps for all the stairs, the bathrooms were outside & Handicap people have a hard time going up & down the steps when there is no ramps. Also no rails to hold on to when going up & down the stairs.
I know this is against California State Law.
It is a beautiful place. Truly Amazing!
But you really need to check the laws.
This is such a special wedding venue! Our team loves capturing this venue on wedding days. The staff is very kind and we always enjoy working with them. We highly recommend this venue for your big day.

Located within Huntington Beach SP near the entrance to Brookgreen Botanical Gardens. There's a fee to enter the park and a $2/person charge to enter Atalaya. Since the outside is unappealing at first glance, it is highly suggested to go inside. Atalaya is the winter home of Archer and Anna Hyatt Huntington. Inside is surprisingly fascinating and will shed light on the Huntington's; her sculpting with live animals and using aluminum; he designing a sprawling Moorish-influenced compound as it was being built; and their unique eccentricities which made Atalaya impressive and far advanced for its time (1930s). It was used as an art studio and a place of rest & study. Built as an oceanfront property, the waves were literally lapping 10 to 15 feet from their front patio. Now the ocean cannot be seen as it's 100 ft or so from the house. Tours are self guided. Fortunately, we arrived at the start of an afternoon guided tour. A gift shop and restrooms are at the castle's entrance. Ample parking nearby.

Beautiful venue, and id give 5 stars but the lack of handicapped accessibility was a real pain, not sure exactly how this is even allowed but otherwise a great place.

This castle had been "calling my name" several times, on my visits to Huntington Beach State Park, before my family and I actually went to visit. The tickets are beyond reasonably priced, considering the fact that you are getting to tour a well preserved piece of local history. I found myself longing to have been Anna, or simply a worker, within this beautiful castle walls!! The staff must work tirelessly to keep this beautiful structure so well preserved. Their efforts have not been wasted or underappreciated on my part, as this castle was the highlight of my trip that day!!!

What a wonderful and beautiful place. I took my great niece and nephews ages 4-9 and we all enjoyed sightseeing. The kids treated the map they gave us as a treasure map and they enjoyedfinding a and identifying each room. It was a great day for our imaginations.

Atalaya Castle was a beautiful place, I've been wanting to take my kids here to look around for a while and we finally did. It's $2 per person over the age of 3 years old. They were working on some upkeep when we went and I can definitely justify $2 to walk through this structure. I would definitely love to ask next time if we can picnic on the lawn in the courtyard section as it would be a great spot to go for a date day or possibly evening. The boys definitely loved it and what it would be like to play hide and seek there!!! (Would be so much fun! But don't do it lol) I would definitely pay another 2 dollars in the summer to see if it's filled beautifully with flowers.
Amazing area to explore. One of my favorite. Attention to details is outstanding. You actually feel like you are stepping inside the movies. Just wonderful. One the most popular areas in the park so is always busy here. Well worth it. The ride inside the castle is pretty good and original as well.

Great spot in the park to visit. Going up the tower gives great views of the park. It's not much of a destination, you'll spend maybe 20mins here at most but a must if you're making your way through the park.

Very cool place, fascinating history. Nice place to tour. You can tell the grounds used to be spectacular. They are slowly working to restore the place. It is absolutely worth taking the time to tour this place and learn about this family and this unique home. Only $2.00 to tour..

Niche place to go and check out Central Park and surrounding buildings from an overview. Cool place. There are Central Park postcards if that interests you ($1). Entry is free but because the stairs are very tight, you can't have people going up and down at the same time. You need to wait for the guard to allow you.

Clovis castle is a scam. I forwarded a 5000 dollar deposit towards my daughters wedding scheduled around Sept 2024. The wedding was cancelled and I asked for my deposit . I was told my deposit would be mailed as of now a month later no deposit . I have communicated via text and phone numerous times and always assured my money would be returned. This business is a scam and now I will be forwarding a detailed complaint with copies of text messages from me and Clovis Castle. Again, if you’re planning a wedding don’t do business with Clovis Castle.

I have loved the Henderson Castle since 1986 when I was able to tour for the first time. I have since had the opportunity to go there for a haunted tour. So much fun! They have done such a wonderful job upgrading the home, but keeping the feel of a home built in the 1800's. The staff are wonderful and make you feel very welcome.

I took my daughters and my mother-in-law for the High Tea. We loved the atmosphere, so beautiful inside and out. The tea options were great and the menu was very tasty. I was grateful for how easily it lent itself to those with dietary restrictions (gluten-free in our case). The service was impeccable. We will be back at some point for an overnight stay!

We had a wonderful dinner here. The service was excellent and the tour was amazing. Next time, I hope we get to stay the night! The location is just a few miles from downtown Kalamazoo and we saw some sketchy behavior before walking up to the castle, but the castle and grounds itself felt safe and inviting. Can’t wait to visit again.

Amazing experience!! It was magical to watch the light show on the outside of the castle! As you walk through the inside, every twist and turn there is more interaction, which makes the line go by so fast! We really enjoyed this at the park!

Took my wife for a quick get away. Very well worth the trip. Staff super friendly and helpful rooms and castle absolutely beautiful and comfortable. Chef Chris cooked our dinner to perfection and Chef Francois made our breakfast and I have to say hands down best omelets and croissant. We arrived and from the start we were immediately beginning to relax. This is a must stay and enjoy. Can’t wait to go back.

My husband took me here as a surprise for my birthday. It was such a fun and unique experience!!!! We stayed in the tower room which was so cool! We had fun walking around the castle, our server for dinner was such a sweet girl and so amazing to talk to, and the bartender was very welcoming and made me feel extra special by giving me a birthday glass of champagne when we first arrived.

We absolutely loved our stay at Henderson Castle. Right across the street is a huge beautiful cemetery where the Hendersons are buried and was fascinating to explore. The castle itself is like stepping back into time. It was easy to imagine the long ago history that took place in the castle. The rooms were beautiful and clean. We were able to explore the castle at our leisure. We saw people dining there and it looked great but we chose to explore the plentiful nearby restaurants during our stay. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Henderson Castle and staff for a job well done!

We have been doing the couple’s packages for the spa treatments for 3 years and they are wonderful! My husband is obsessed with the tomato bisque! The dinners are delicious too! We did wine tasting last time and the bar tender (Mike…I think) was very knowledgeable on his wine! He even got my husband to try some! We now have a bottle of wine! We enjoy going for something special and different then the normal.

Great little island. Fantastic recommended views of the surrounding Hudson Valley, especially during the fall foliage of late October. Dress warm though, the wind is cold, especially on the shallow boat you take to get there.
Enjoy!
Interesting building with some history attached, sadly the lack of information available, with the exception of a couple of signs, makes it difficult to find out about the place.

The staff/volunteers in the shop, seem to be either uninterested or uneducated beyond what is written in the signs.

Great views of the park, from the vista points, especially from the top of the tower.

The local musician/busker playing the saxophone, really added to the atmosphere. A pleasant addition.

If you’re in Central Park, it’s worth a visit.

Everything was amazing!
Staff was so friendly and attentive, food was AMAZING, drinks were great, and the stories were awesome too!
We stayed in Cabin B (Carriage house) which has the 2 person whirlpool tub- added bonus, it has a backdoor to a little garden!
The other rooms inside of the mansion were beautiful! Next time we will definitely stay in one of the other rooms.
It is exactly what it is- a very old mansion with all of the quirks and beautifully decorated.
Owners- feel free to contact me for photos of the rooms we were able to see. I have almost all of them.

It was my goal to get here and I absolutely live it! The tour was fantastic, I learned so much and history of this place is very interesting. The only thing is - you have just 40 minutes to self explore after the tour is over. Island is tiny, so it’s enough time, but just keep that in mind, if you want to take pictures or something. You can grab some food there, but since you only have 40 minutes, I recommend to eat before or after and just explore while you in the island.
It’s a bit pricey, but it’s so worth it! I took ferry, but there is also kayak option to get to the island, or you can go on your own kayak.

Great experience definitely recommend to everyone of all ages. The views are spectacular and the tour is interesting. There are bathrooms on the island and a small coffee shop, but no restaurants on the island.

I have been a wizard from the first moment I read the first book, now 20 years or so ago. Coming to universal for the first time, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Overall I’m not impressed with universal I am however blown away by the recreation of hogwarts. They did hogwarts justice and they did Harry Potter justice. The experience was magic I’m so many ways. A must visit. A butter bear is also a must experience. It tastes sweet like butter scotch with a foam on top. Try the frosted version to balance the Florida heat.

The area where you have to store a back pack was a *~*~*madhouse*~*~. Also the ride stopped in the middle and I get trapped. It was scary. Those seats are claustrophobic. The speaker BLASTS right in your ear. Can’t hear for like 30 minutes. People that work the ride are rude. Too many choke points when trying to exit the building. Horrible ride

Fun boat ride to the island. The crew was great. Very entertaining. Once on the island your tour guide will guide you to the main house. Then you have some free time to wander the island. It was very interesting. They didn't know this place existed.

A historic castle located on an island on the Hudson River. To get there, a tour boat which departs from the harbor by the Beacon train station. The boat ride is about 15 - 20 minutes long but the cool breeze from the water plus wonderful views of the landscape all around you make it pleasing. Once there, you will be grouped with about 20 or more people and a tour guide will take your group around the island. Be prepared to walk on steep and rocky terrain so wear comfortable shoes. Towards the end of the tour, you will visit a spacious mansion which overlooks the Hudson River. Inside, you will find precious antiques and furniture. The castle itself is big and old but is still remarkably standing to this day. Finally, **do not miss the boat ride back or else you will be stuck on the island for quite some time! **

This is a can't miss experience. The boat crew was amazing and funny. The tour guides are top notch, informative, funny and you learn so much. The scenery and grounds are unique, well kept and simply a can't miss experience. There is nothing like it and it is a wonderful experience from the time you step on the boat until you step back off at the end of the tour.
This is one of the most stunning venues in the area! The views are beautiful any time of the year and since it's at a slightly higher elevation the weather is much cooler than the valley. It's also one of the few venues that has a large capacity.

We booked the venue for our June 10th wedding. We had 280 guests and the space was perfect for the amount of people. We booked the entire space including the house for an overnight stay. We also used the rehearsal and the day before for set-up. The cost overall was pretty high, but well worth it.

The venue itself doesn't provide a ton of extras. We had to handle all of our rentals including chairs and tables, but they were very clear about this upfront. We hired a full-service planner to help with organizing the vendors (16 in total). They worked with our planner and were able to help coordinate shuttle service for guests. They also provided bartending service with enough bartenders for our guest count. There is an onsite manager that helps to handle all of their own employees and vendors the day of, but they do not have a true event coordinator.

The whole experience was positive but there are a few things to consider. We obviously had to book everything ourselves which was pretty time-consuming. We booked the venue after it first opened and there were a few hiccups with the contract as they ironed out the details and established their business model. Early on we asked for a site map but ended up using a Google Map view to plan out our tables. There was a lot of back and forth about details and my planner and I had to get on a few calls to get clarity on things. It all worked out, but there was a lot of running around that I attribute to being one of the first events in this new space.

Ultimately, I would recommend this venue with the caveat that you treat it as a blank canvas. We had a big, very specific, vision for our wedding day and this venue gave us the opportunity to make it happen with no restrictions (or very few restrictions). The end result was absolutely perfect and our guests were blown away by the location!

If you want to really WOW your guests, this is the spot!
Very interesting and enjoyable ride,
Must see

This visit has been on my list for the past four years and I'm grateful for the opportunity to go on this tour. While there was a lot of information shared on the island itself on the guided tour, you get about 35 to 40 minutes to explore of your own. The boat ride was smooth and the historian named "Moose" was very knowledgeable about the river and surrounding history.

Our tour guide, Mary was exceptionally versed on the history of the castle and the Bannerman family. I would've loved to get a closer view or at least get to walk into parts of the castle; yet unfortunately the structure is deemed unsafe and not passable by anyone other than the Labor Union workers working on the restructuring.

Picturesque views from the boat as well as in the island. The 72-step walk up wasn't bad at all and there was rocky terrain, so hiking boots/shoes are best and some folks had hiking sticks. The trip was worth by time and money and I hope to bring my kids in the future so they, too, can experience the tour.

The views of the venue make it feel like we are international & not in the valley. Truly remarkable feeling getting married in the foothills. We originally wanted a destination wedding and this made it feel like exactly that. The photos of the hills and the views do not do the venue justice.

Welcome to the wizard world! We came straight here when the park was open and was rewarded with empty streets where we could take beautiful pictures of Hogwarts. The detailed snow on the roof alongside with Harry potter music made the experience surreal. Definitely the most beautiful set in our opinion compared to other parts of universal Hollywood
The best ride I’ve ever done. First time was in 2019 in LosAngeles, enjoyed it that time and this time in Orlando, truly enjoyed it again. Having said that, I’m not a Harry Potter fan or even interested in the story more than anything regular in my life but the reason I loved the ride was the quality of the animations, moves, reality of the pictures, 4th dimension effects and all those tricks which makes a ride as enjoyable as possible.

Also the design of the castle 🏰 itself is amazing both inside and outside, which the ride takes place. Everything was nicely designed depicting everything in Harry Potter books and movies with a great craftsmanship.
We spent a fantastic vacation at this Mansion. Small World Castle is close to all the parks, but it was also a great place to stay. The heated pool is huge. It has a Tree house inside. A Mickey Cinema with beds and armchairs. And some fantastics Star war games.
Amazing Castle!!!!
We enjoyed our visit at this unbelievable place. Vert fun common areas. Ideal for kids and adults that want something different.
Thank you for such an amazing place.

💫 Nothing Short of Magical 💫

While the inside is *even more* breath-taking than the outside, the Hogwarts Castle is an absolute must-see during any visit to the Orlando theme parks. A combination of scale and clever perception tricks make it look simply massive as it towers overhead and you enter through its iconic gates, guarded by winged boars.

At night, the castle transforms into a see-it-to-believe-it projection show display of lights and sounds. The show changes a bit, depending on the season (Christmas has its own spectacular), but all of them are worth seeing. All four Houses get represented on the castle, and the dark sky alights with lasers as the face of the castle transforms into flitting, familiar shapes.

Absolutely loved my stay at Small World Castle! It was the perfect place to bring over all our family and friends together at one location to celebrate memorial day weekend. I can't even begin to describe how incredibly well designed the house is. Not only are all the rooms spacious enough to fit multiple families but they are also set up to enjoy many activities together or individually. All the kids were delighted with all the the themed rooms especially the indoor tree house and movie room. The adults also enjoyed playing on the pool table, watching the NBA Western Conference Finals in the spacious living room, playing ping pong and so much more. It was a memorable weekend and I'm so glad we stayed here!
