Absolutely horrible. Expired products have stickers peeled off and new ones set on. Sometimes the old sticker isn't even off all the way!
Hot food prices have increased dramatically, and they now charge you 50 cents for a small pack of hot sauce. These prices are now literally rivaling Cheng Heng and other sit down restaurants. Guess I'm done coming here. Something happened in the last three years to make this go from one of my favorite places, to the least.
Outside of this store is filled with panhandlers, druggies, and beggars. And the staff does nothing to stop them. Stay away.

I believe they handle/butcher their own meat because it’s too affordable, cooks normally and tastes like real meat. I’m assuming no preservatives or forever chemicals! I used to go to butcher shops and buy “meat packs” but… they ain’t got nothing on Sun’s! And if you’re into Ramen Noodles… singles or by the case, you haven’t seen a double aisle variety that is stacked ladder high!
This is a great grocery store and I really hope my application impressed them enough to hire me, but it seems everybody there speaks Hmong so I am assuming my chances are very low.
Lot of Sea food varieties and fresh vegetables and fruits, if you are looking for some good asian grocers the they have a good choice Price food varieties are comparatively cheaper but keep an eye on freshness at times.. Shop Smells a bit more compared to Brooklyn park one..
The breakfast sausage here is excellent and they did an awesome job on my euro mount. Will definitely be using them again next season.
This place used to have THE best Chicken Parm Hero in the city by a long shot. Been twice in the last few months and honestly it’s been pretty sub par. Really miss my perfect comfort sandwich! Please bring it back to its original legendary status!
I love this place so much. Meat at good prices and they seem to have almost anything you could want. Better, the butchers are saints. I need something smaller than they normally put out (weight-wise) and the butcher went into the back room, found another piece and cut it to size. Great bunch. Worst part is parking (they have a pretty big parking lot but they are almost always very busy).

Great place. Newly renovated with excellent service and prices. Watch the cashier closely because sometimes they get the wrong meat which leads to the wrong price. Otherwise a wonderful experience.
I like Peoria packing ,but today I bought a whole tenderloin and ask the butcher to put it 5 bags ,well he didn't and handed me 1 big bag. You can't pick the butcher. Bcuz they have 4 or five .which I understand. At least he could have put it in 5 bags that's a lot of chops. So I did myself in the store. Smh
Peoria Meat Packing Store is always busy with great selections of fresh meat. It took me about 30 minutes to actually get into the store, bcuz of the holiday season shoppers. I always have a great experience every time I visit Peoria Meat Packing Store. You will not be disappointed with this store's excellent varieties of meats and other food products. I will be returning back there on Saturday to finish my holiday shopping!!
Great place to get quality meat at reasonable prices. Got a couple tomahawks steaks and it was way cheaper then going to a restaurant. It came out delicious!
Easy delivery for downtown Chicago. I290. Do not get off at Oakley exit. Exit Damen or Western and go north. Damen exit will set you for driver side back. Pictures are accurate. Unload is quick. Opened at 4:30. Out by 5am.
I'm relatively pleased with them lately. They've expanded the store, and have improved with making sure the advertised sale prices are put into the system so that they ring up correctly. That might seem obvious, but they've struggled with it in the past. Also their prices are a little better than their competitors. Removed 1 star as they still occasionally have items not in the system, and then the cashiers eyes light up at the opportunity to pick a random number.
A good place to get specialty cuts like pork head, pork feet, or pork skin at a bargain price.

Top Notch Service!!! Great store inside from their personal farm raised birds. The service they provide the local farm community cannot be replaced. We have taken our large orders of birds here for years amd have always had the best processing around.
Honestly, less than a 1 if I could. The service is terrible. I understand that it’s a butcher and they typically don’t have great customer service skills but if you have a moral conscience or any type of ethics code, don’t waste your time or money! There are plenty of other quality butchers in Chicago. The owner/manager here is VERY rude and disrespectful to his customers and employees, especially those who are black or brown. I’ve had two encounters with this man and based on the way I was treated… I am DONE. He will never see me or my money again. If I’m spending my hard earned money somewhere, I WILL NOT be disrespected in the process.✌🏾

This place is awesome. We were looking for a new Butcher when ours doubled their price. Pleasant Valley kept their prices reasonable, and it was a super clean facility.
Good place to deliver. Very quick. Best route I’ve found in: from 290 get off on Damen Ave, head north. Turn left on Walnut St. After 3 stop signs it will be on your left. This avoids trying to make any tight right turn. This also sets you up for a driver side back at their dock.
Chicken Parmigiana Panini was not toasted and inside chicken was cold. Bread was hard to chew (it is not your typical panini bread and is closer to a ciabatta). The menu doesn’t mention all of this. The ingredients tasted fine but I wasn’t expecting cold food when ordering a panini. So it’s not for me as I like my panini and ingredients to be hot and toasted.
Very disappointed, i spent almost 20$ (paid cash) for a “large” sandwich. The bread was hard like a rock, and the chicken tasted like rubber. Also, there was hardly any chicken on there, Still hungry after finishing the whole thing. Next time I’ll drive the distance for a real Italian deli. I would leave negative stars after this experience if I could.
Bought fresh chops thinking it was goat. Instead it turned out to be lamb. The meat is fresh and weighted with excessive fat. Overall pleased but next time will call in advance and have the chops fat removed then weight them.
Average Italian fast food, average taste, average cost. Small surcharge if paying by credit/debit card. Nothing to write home about. Meh.
The meat is always fresh. The food he prepares is also fresh. The cuts are great. There’s absolutely no beating this place. Wish I heard about it sooner 🙏.

VERY SMALL PLACE, UNCOMFORTABLE. HALLWAY TOO NARROW, NOT ENOUGH FOR TWO PEOPLE , ABUSIVE PRICES.
Have gone here during lunch for work as it is a quick grab and go. It was quite delicious, and the service was very fast. Small hole in the wall but nice overall and enough room to sit. Got the meatball sub (small) and was extremely filling. Overall, it did the trick and was very good!
We had them to process a deer and they were very nice and quick turn around. I highly recommend them and will be going back.

Stopped by this weekend while visiting family from out of state and purchased some things. I went to eat what I purchased the next day and noticed a weird taste, checked the label and it’s expired. That’s $20 in the trash. Check the expiration date before you purchase anything in this store. I purchased this on July 2 and it expired June 25 2022.

Genuinely one of the best mediterranean catering experiences I have ever had and ate. To start off, the food was phenomenal, we ordered the shish tawook, shish kabobs, pita, garlic sauce, and hummus. The presentation for the food was amazing and the portions for the food were very big, (over a foot size for the kabob), and they did not hold back on the vegetables (onions and tomatoes). The owner threw in the hummus and garlic sauce for free and everything else was very very well priced. We fed 30 people for less than $200 and had a good amount left over. Everyone loved the food and it was a huge hit. On top of that, the owner’s customer service was amazing. He was very patient, nice, and pleasant to work with, and catered to our needs specifically. All the meat was zabihah cut by the owner. Definitely gonna come back again and tell others about it!
Got two wold hogs processed here and they did a great job very good breakfast sausage.
They do not seem transparent. I have tried to get in touch with them about how they kill their birds. I buy birds that are controlled atmophere stunned and pheasent and quail are very hard to get stunned. So no reply and I guess they do not want my money. I do not like chickens killed by live shackling and bleeding, however many companies get away with this inhumane treatment of poultry because in the U.S there are no laws that mandatory stunning of birds. It just doesn't make sense to raise a free ranged supposide "humanely" raised, but kill it in such a archaic old fashioned way when we have better technology.

Watch this receiver i run 25 cont. On the temp. & they check pulp temp.inside the box On beef & wrote 34.1 degrees. But fast unloading.
Took family members from out of town to purchase the Italian sausage to take back home ,now they want to order more. Hopefully we can make it happen .
The only trusted Halal place in all of Houston. They will do Specialty cuts as well. Freshest meat I've had.

The old Sun Foods was across the street in a much smaller building. So this store definitely smells like a southeast Asian market (prefer Japanese or Korean tbh) and they have a huge variety of SE Asian style vegetables, seafood n meats (ok, animal parts). See my pics. Maybe too many items to keep track of, which may cause the general smell. They should get a HVAC tech in there to check the ventilation too.
Anyway, employees may appear like cute young ladies but didn’t seem particularly friendly or knowledgeable.

Excellent fresh organic halal meat. If you want purely hand slaughtered halal meat then Mina is 100% the zabiha halal meat place for you. Their menu includes premium items like bbq, wings, shawarma, pizza, burgers, fish that are all fresh and like home made tasting at a great price. Mina is a hidden gem in houston. They offer catering for large events if needed as well.

Very good butcher's counter, and nice selection of imported goods as well as basic groceries. Staff always helpful and friendly. Small parking area sometimes fills up, but I recommend checking this store out for great-tasting grilling ingredients. :d

You have to know what you’re getting here. It may be inconsistent and not always what you expect. But I love it. The chicken and meatball parmigiana are terrific. Lots to like about this place.
There one of the best poultry processors around. There helpful, lots of knowledge and a pleasure to work with. I personally take over 200 Broilers, 100 Layers, and now Turkey's yearly since 2013. Easy to fill out your order sheet, easy to unload, just a great place.
I have stopped there two times in the past week. Both times I was in the store, it was not very clean! The first time flies were all over the place and it was dirty. I thought maybe I was there on a bad day so I stopped back again today. My first impression is still the same....this place was dirty, flies all over, dead flies and filth inside the freezers. I would not buy from this place nor would I have them process anything of mine.
Local brazillian market for fruits, vegetables, and all the basics including eggs, milk, spices, etc.. and very nice butcher shop including some marinated. Hi Ken wings and short ribs ready to just throw on the grill. Reasonable prices wings about $3-4/pound and we got nice thick cuts of sirloin strip steak for about $7/pound. Great to have them in the community and very convenient.
It’s a bit smelly in the store, but they carry a huge variety of food items and other items as needed. The sun food in Brooklyn Park is definitely a lot bigger but for a central location this one is not too bad either. We at able to get lots of Asian vegetables that we were looking for. They specially carry the sweet tamarind which is absolutely delish as a snack and super healthy as well. It reminds me of home every time I get that box.
It's a Portuegese convenient store with a deli and produce section. The people are polite and friendly and the store is clean. They sell fresh loaves of white bread rolls every day.
