This is the place to go if you like pickleball, a local pool, tennis, or if you are a fan of frisbee golf (9 holes). Westleigh may have the best pickleball group in the area - we have won our league for the last couple of years. There is lots of open play and men's and women's leagues. Right now, we have 4 full time pickleball courts - soon to be expanded to 6 and several mobile courts.
Good place to swim laps during the three summer months.
Iona has been my son’s swim teacher for the past several semesters. She has been great with him. We love Emler’s for swim lessons. We are very happy with how our son’s are swimming. I have already recommended Emler’s to several of our friends.
We love Elmer’s and we have been coming here since our oldest was 6 months and he’s Almost 5! The staff is great and we have love all of our teachers! We have miss Ashton right now on Thursday’s and she is the best! She’s super patient and kind to the kids. You can tell she enjoys it!
My oldest loves the big slide (not every location has one) and the instructors are all awesome and very friendly! Ms Jen is the very best but there’s no bad instructor there. Both my kids love the water, have been in classes since 6 months old. I give credit to their extremely positive experiences at Emler Swim School! Can’t say enough good things about it!
Our first has been at Emler since 6 months old and loves it! The instructors are amazing: they connect with your LO, explain what the purpose of class components, and give great feedback. The front desk staff is always helpful in answering questions in person, on the phone or email. The only issue we have had is with the app and its bugs.
We highly recommend Zoey as an instructor! She is patient, engages with her class and communicates well on our LO’s progress. We love her!

The staffs were very friendly and my kids loved it. Her instructor Ashton was really good and they made a great progress. She makes sure the kids have fun just by doing a simple round up after each round during the lessons which my kids thoroughly enjoyed. She never hesitated to do the round up even if my daughter asks for it after multiple times after each round. It was a fun experience for my kids. Thank you Ms. Ashton!
We really like Emler, Ms. Iona and the management team have been very accommodating to our needs. Ms. Iona really cares and makes effort to make the learning experience enjoyable for my kid. The facility is great as well.
All the instructors are wonderful!! My daughter went from not being able to put her face in the water to being swim team ready. We've been here a few years and will stay. We have Kelly this semester and she's really inspiring my daughter to excel!
Our little one loves water babies! Lots of different activities are done during class and she enjoys them all. Our teacher Iona is very nice and explains everything as we do it!

I have attended Rutgers football games here, just caught an amazing Bruce Springsteen concert, and not a bad seed in the house. The concession stands and food vendors are super easy to reach and there are a lot of them with lots and lots of choices. The indoor eating areas are wonderful, and the private suites and amenities on the VIP area is fabulous.
Only complaint was later flies everywhere. We were focused on killing rather enjoying the beach. Because they were landing and flying on us and our things.

Park has everything you need, fun , picnic , camping like experience, food and last but not least fun filled day for kids and adults. Staff is very friendly and fries were awesome

would not be back again. couldn’t even enjoy it because they kept closing the pools every 30 min for like 15 min or more and with a toddler it was very frustrating. not worth the money. you’re better off going somewhere else.
Great place. However they were supposed to re-open again as of June 1st and it has been at this point 2 months behind schedule and now they have given up giving an expected open date for the pools again which is very frustrating for those like me paying monthly to not even be able to use the pools for 2 months further than what was promised.
It's a great facility and run efficiently. An amazing place for both summers as well as winters.
However, it becomes terribly hot and humid in summers being short of ventilation and inadequate air-conditioning.

Had a nice spot on the beach..... the family had a blast parking was challenging but after circling for a while found a park very close will definitely be back....
This is a decent public pool. Even with some downsides, it is free to county residents last year and this year, so I can't really complain. There are a few baby/toddler sections and a larger L shaped pool, starting at 3 feet I think. There are 2 lanes open exclusively to people swimming laps and with exception of the really deep end, the rest is open. The really deep end looks so nice but you can only use it to swim to the ladder after using the slide which is such a bummer. It's a big part of the pool butbit goes relatively used. You can't even jump in at that section, it's only for the slide. I think it's nice to go at 4 when it opens for the afternoon, you can usually get a lounge chair. There is a grass section with picnic tables, some shady parts, and a water fountain with a water bottle refill space. The pool is clean and the locker rooms are a bit dated but totally fine.
These young kids manning the pool( the life guards and their manager) should be respectful, especially the MANAGER. He is very arrogant young boy with no sense yelling at adults all the time. He should be trained on how to handle issues. The young boy who manages the pool yells recklessly with no reason. I have observed him yell at different instances and all i can say, he thinks this is his home pool. Boy, get a life. It is SUMMER. Respect the residents!
Great place to learn how to swim in one their summer camps. Great instructors.

We had a fabulous time with our grandson enjoying lots of sun, water slides, lily pad challenge, pizza and Dippin dots!
Great for the kids, there's a target age here that's some where between 4 and 12 probably for the waterside to be fully enjoyed. The entire park is great, they allow pop up canopys and have separate sections for each age group and a splash pad that was unfortunately closed when we were there last weekend. They have fairly affordable food and a good safe family atmosphere although it does get busy after about 3pm, definitely after 4. Also the season pass is a good option if you plan to return and it will save you quite a bit.
Very nice water park. Kids enjoy a lot. They add too much bleach. They have too many different kind water slid. Mostly kids like sliding with round tubs. Mostly kids want double tube instead of single person. Regular ticket $8 person. Also they offer season pass for $92 per person. The have life safety jacket for small kids for free no any charge. No any big water park for adults.
Good value for the cost. The grassy area under the trees is perfect to set up a picnic blanket as a base for the day. They have chairs you can borrow. Probably recommend getting there earlier or renting one of their shades seats if you are getting there later.
Kids getting swimming lessons for summer!!
We came here on a holiday, so it was very busy. But we had a really good time because there was plenty of room on the beach, and it seems to be very well maintained.
The lifeguards were definitely paying attention to the swimmers, and we heard the whistles blow on multiple occasions because people had gone too far from the shore. At one point, one of the lifeguards even jumped into the water to help someone that look like they were struggling. Everyone was okay, and even though our family did not need the lifeguards it is very reassuring to know that they are there.
Other workers were regularly patrolling the beach, emptying trash, and doing other needed tasks. While it would be nice if beaches were free, I would rather pay a little bit and have a clean Beach then go to a free beach that was trashed. Plus, children 13 and under are free.
Parking is a little problematic, but if you don't mind a little walk it's not a big deal. They do have some spots for disabled parking.

It was good but the thing is the safety guard yelled at some siblings because he was carrying her in his arms under water. The guard said “you can’t touch her! Do at your own pool” and he said that he doesn’t care if there siblings or not I mean I didn’t see anything inappropriate so like…

Well organised competition pool with perfect temperature. Love the giant fan. Friendly life guards, good atmosphere. Other swimmers polite about lane sharing when busy. Great place. Decent gym facilities abd leisure pool for kids
love the pool one thing I don't like is you have to be over 16 to use the hot tub and there somewhat strict about that rule but it's a nice pool got a play area for children and an Olympic pool with lazy river and bigger water slide for bigger kids/adults there locker rooms are really nice
Clean and hot water
It was very crowded, and one pool was closed. Due to the heat, we had to get out of the water at 1 and 3 pm to give life guards breaks. It needs to be cleaned up and better staffed. I don't understand with these heat waves why it has to close for the season on Labor Day.
This is a great beach! Arrive before 11am and street parking is a plenty. The beach is clean and lifeguards are on point. Entry is $7 per adult. Kids are free. We come here multiple times a year!
I am a regular swimmer at Long Branch and appreciate the cheerful staff who are keeping the pool open for neighborhood kids despite great difficulty finding and keeping lifeguards and other employees.
Indoor swimming pool is so nice as it’s too hot out! Enjoyed lazy river, kids area, and diving board.
Private HOA run pool for the residents of Twin Creeks. Every time I there the pool, restrooms, and covered area are always clean and well maintained. Lifeguards are present at this pool, swim lessons are available, the is an associated swim team, and residents can reserve the Pavillion for private parties.
Away from the craziness, peaceful. Has beach shower and Restroom near by...$7 books for beach access and you can find off street parking.
The pool is huge and very clean. Has a nice big deep section too.
This place is a must if you live in the area. Our kids love hanging out at the pool. Great swim and dive program in the summer.

I love the pool it is close to where I live and it is also cheap it has a lot of parking and the lifeguard are very experienced it also has a very awesome swim team called The Long Branch Water Wizards or just Water Wizards which you can get into if you pass the tryouts which are every summer.
Love this pool! Has grassy lawn to relax in the sun. Only problem are the three hour time slots. Do not like this decision!!! Please change this!

WRC recently added Pickleball Memberships to its offerings. The courts are in really great condition, and the members are very friendly. If you live nearby, highly recommend joining this Rec Club!
We came before the Covid shutdown to a birthday party here and I don't remember it being so dirty.
I'm seriously shocked the city hasn't shut it down.
The lazy river is literally black from algae build up and all other areas are gross with algae build up starting or there already.
Considering the incident that just happened in Arlington you would think cleanliness, especially of a public pool, would be taken more seriously. We wanted to have a party here in a few months but definitely won't be back. This place needs a major clean up and probably testing of waters.

Great outing for a rainy/thunderstorm day. Kids 2 & under are free, so I just paid the $5 adult admission. For a 2 year old and 1 year old, this was a nice one hour outing (as we were swimming before dinner time since availability for free swim isn’t until 1pm/when my toddlers are napping). They have family restrooms and there’s a shower in them, which was helpful for changing into swim diapers before for the kids.
One star taken off for the one roach that fell from the air duct while we were in the lazy river (which actually had a decent current for us 3, as I’m navigating the toddlers in their puddle jumpers). I brought my own puddle jumpers, but noticed they have a bunch of life vests in various sizes near the kids area if your littles aren’t swimming yet.

It was uncrowded on a pleasant Thursday afternoon. Relaxing as long as you don't mind a few screaming toddlers (I don't). Staff was friendly and professional. This place is one of the best things about Antioch. Bring the family and enjoy.

My son learns to swim at Strongwater Swim. The instructors are mature, friendly and patient. I like the fact that you have the same instructor every week, so there is no confusion. Also the pool is big and not crowded, swimming groups are small.
I wasted money with other swimming schools before finding Strongwater. I would definitely recommend Strongwater for all ages if you really want to learn to swim.

Excellent place to take your kids Our son had the best time learning how to swim. The instructors made learning fun while doing different swimming techniques. He looked forward to every swim lesson.

This is the best swim school for your child, the instructors are great 👍 and Dania is the best manager, she will always accommodate your schedule so that your child never misses a class, her purpose is for your child to the best at swimming. Highly recommended.
It is nice place to swim but do not plan to take shower after. The shower only has very hot water and no option to mix with cold water. My son almost had 3rd degree burns from taking shower here. I have asked the manager to do something about it but he said he has no control of the plumbing. I am currently trying to contact the county to do something about this problem.
My 4 year daughter started classes about 7 months ago without any swimming skills and now she is able to swim half the pool. I don't have access to a pool at home, she only comes twice a week. Its amazing the progress that she has accomplished. The trainers are super nice and very respectful, they make it fun for the kids to learn with games and song.

GREAT school, with professional team
Big pool that gets as deep as 11 feet. A smaller foot deep pool that is covered for babies. We're residents and use it often. Covered areas with tables for eating. Life guards on duty. Attached to the big playground and volley ball courts. I'd say compared to other neighborhood pools it lacks that extra something to set it apart. It's just a little bland - not really a place I'd go to hang out and grill out with friends like I've done at other neighborhood public pools.
My family used to be a member and I had so many incredible memories here as a preteen to young adult. The swim team was so much fun and I have no doubt it still is. Everyone is kind. I miss Westleigh so much. Go Barracudas!!
Westleigh swim and tennis is not just for the neighborhood. Others can join. The swim team is great for kids, as is the dive team. Both instill good sportsmanship and both will help athletes improve. Everyone's friendly.

Westleigh is a swim-and-tennis North Potomac neighborhood club, with a nice, wooded open-air pool and courts. We practically raised our kids at this place: the atmosphere is great and very family-friendly. They have a well-run swim team and tennis clinic. The clubhouse is can be rented for special events and parties.
Crystal clear water and cleaned daily during the swim season. Twin Creeks grounds keeper knows what he is doing, whole community is beautiful.
Without a doubt the best club in the area! Wonderful people, great swim team and so much fun!!
