We are halfway through our massive kitchen renovation and I just had to write a review!

We spent over a year meeting with multiple designers and contractors before we decided to pull the trigger on our kitchen remodel/renovation. I heard from several friends about their nightmares dealing with certain companies and contractors for kitchen remodels, so we were really picky about who we ultimately went with. And I can’t say enough wonderful things about KBS from beginning to our current situation during the remodel!

This project was (and is) intense! We took down 3 walls and completely changed the entire layout of our home. We first met with Serena, the designer, who I would recommend to ANYONE! Not only is she incredibly easy to work with, but this girl knows her stuff! Her designs for our new kitchen were better than we could have imagined and she took the time to get to know us and help determine what would be best for us. Her vision of our new kitchen made it an exciting and fun project rather than a daunting task.

We also met with Marko, the owner, at least 10 times. He always listened intently and made us feel like he had our complete attention. He was (and is) very easy to talk to and we all worked out a plan within our budget. When you go to KBS… definitely meet with Marko!

Once we finalized the design, we were assigned a project manager, Mesto. Mesto is another superior person at KBS. He has been at our home nearly every day during the project to ensure things are going smoothly and we don’t have any questions or concerns. His is at the top of his game when it comes to project management. He is and has been fantastic to work with. He has been incredibly helpful throughout this project and genuinely cares about our satisfaction. He is always just a call or text away if we need anything.

The crew who has been doing the work has been incredible! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Bryan’s Team. I work from home and having workers in the house from sun up to sun down is not for the faint of heart. But every single employee of Bryan’s Team has been highly skilled, very friendly and I trust them completely with the work that needs to be done. Bryan (the team lead) is here every day as well to help and ensure we are happy with the progress. Definitely ask for Bryan’s Team when you get your work done!

I can go on and on about how wonderful it is to work with KBS… and I will when the project is over! But for now, I wanted to give the entire team a 5 star review because they deserve it! We are so thankful we decided to go with KBS!

Kitchen and Bath Shop did such a WONDERFUL job with our guest bathroom remodel. They’re a team of professional and specialized builders and designers. The staff was respectful, courteous and left our place impeccable. They were all very skilled.

Had Nelson and the guys come out and refinish our entire first floor (1100 square feet). They were some of the best contractors we have used since buying our house in 2001. We now have brand new floors! They were consistently on time and worked diligently throughout the project. Finished a day early by working over 12 hours on the first day! They were responsive and had good advice and solutions for all our questions. I would recommend Capitol Flooring without reservation.

So happy we found Nelson and his small, dedicated team! We have been doing a kitchen remodel that has stretched on for weeks. Capital Flooring was the last step before the finish, and they came on a Friday AM, working all day into the late evening. Came back again on Saturday and did the same, and had the floors finished by early Sunday morning. These guys work very diligently and long hours, with beautiful results. They are respectful of your home, and care well for the work area. Honest, family-run business, excellent pricing, and quality workmanship. Nelson takes great pride in his dedicated team's work. We have lots of little kids we had to shuttle in and out the work area throughout the weekend, and they are very responsive and accommodating. They are also very busy and already much in demand, so snag a spot with them while you still can! Would not hesitate to hire them again.

We had a fantastic experience working with Nelson and his team. Luis was our job site manager and arrived on time every day. He was easy to work with and had great communication. The team sanded our original yellowy-stained red oak hardwood floors in our new house and re-finished them with a whiter matte stain and water base sealant. We absolutely love them, and they are completed to perfection. I am attaching the “after” photos. Every detail was finished perfectly, and they left the job site in immaculate condition. Nelson was also very easy to work with and had great communication with pricing and billing. I would absolutely work with this contractor again. Thank you, Capitol Flooring!

Our vision realized. We remodeled our master bathroom with Kitchen and Bath Shop. The entire experience was wonderful. Working with designer Lydia Karaca was fantastic. She had great design options. And was always available if we had any questions. Project manager Ege Bulut was very helpful and kind. He always responded quickly with any questions we had. He kept us informed and on schedule. The crew were very knowledgeable and very respectful. We were very impressed with the quality of the work.

Nelson and his team were amazing to work with. I was hoping to refinish my floors but as it turns out they were not solid hard wood floors. Nelson took the time to go over my options and explain them in detail. They were able to get me scheduled quickly too! Very responsive and punctual! While on the job they were thorough and quick. They double checked their work and even took extra steps to fix a door issue where the floor and door met. The process was easy and seamless. I’m glad I contracted them and highly recommend! So now we will use them for our next round of fixes and improvements. No other company in NoVa we have worked with has done better. Not even close.

We are very happy with the bathroom remodel that Kitchen and Bath Shop of Alexandria finished today. Mesto did a wonderful job coming up with a design and working with us to find the right materials and aesthetics while also personalizing it to our needs. Simon was our project manager. He did a great job making sure everything moved on schedule, kept us informed along the way, and was responsible for on site suggestions and ideas. Both of them were very responsive to communications from us. The work crew was punctual, efficient, resourceful, clean, and respectful. They always made sure to ask for our input before final decisions were made even about the tiniest of details. If you're looking for quality work with a professional team then definitely consider Kitchen and Bath Shop.

Wish I could give this store better ratings. Asked 3 employees to send someone to the cutting t center to assist and stood at the back waiting for over 30 mi it’s and no one showed up. Went and asked again and they tried paging someone and said the one person qualified to make cuts went home. Should not be charging for boards by the foot if you don’t have anyone around who can make cuts. Ridiculous!

Top General Contractors Queens updated our main bath as well as painted our kitchen cabinets. Their work was high quality and completed on time. Their prices are competitive and they stayed with the job until completed as we wanted. We highly recommend them.

We decided to renovate our kitchen after purchasing our home. We called other kitchen remodeling companies and got quotes for as high as $80,000!!!! I did some research and found Top General Contractors Queens. The owner was a gem to work with. He was informative, kind, honest, and the type of person that you want to do business with. 5 Stars

Great service with design stage, demolition, and installation stage! Good crew with skill in every area of kitchen renovation, and also good eye for detail and troubleshooting skills that handled every issue that sprang up (in dealing with house from 1950s). Melissa (design), Adrian (project manager), and Javier (demo/install/plumbing/flooring/etc!) and crew were excellent. Things were communicated really well by all. Here are some before and after pics (99% complete, we just have a cabinet door and drawer covering to arrive)

It was very painful dealing with the CSR, not only did they lose my original order history, making it difficult to reorder the same product, but aren’t interested in carrying or ordering the product that I’ve visited several times to retrieve. Other than that they got what you need

My family has used Top General Contractors for several projects at our property. Each time I have had a great experience. Work is completed on time and on budget! I have requested minor changes during the process and each change was documented in a change order and the cost was accurate and changes done correctly. The team at KBS were very helpful during my small bathroom renovation. They helped me choose materials and managed the whole process. They were responsive and got the work done fairly quickly which I appreciated since I only have one bathroom! The process went smoothly with progress checks and they communicated well about when things were happening. They were also great about making a few changes that I requested along the way. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Always has coffee and a snack for a harried contractor to enjoy. The products they sell are top notch and returns are easy. I recommend this place highly if you need to tile for you home or business.

Paul has worked with us on 2 houses to find the perfect blinds and flooring for each. We have been very happy with both the products and the service we receive from Window Accents. I hope we don't have a 3rd house in our future, but if we do, we'll go back to Window Accents again!

Truly appreciate the great job that Paul did replacing my old window coverings with Hunter Douglas Duette shades. Window Accents and Flooring had previously replaced the coverings on my downstairs' windows and measured the windows upstairs at that time. They kept these records, I was able to order over the phone, and the shades were installed the day after they arrived--all in less than a week. These shades look beautiful, the service was great and I couldn't be happier!

So happy we found Window Accents and Flooring. The people there are so nice!!! Top notch service, friendly helpful advice, and a wonderful selection of quality products made our shopping experience a real pleasure! Very poorly-run as Home Depots go. Staff is usually rude, or acts like they have something better to do than to answer your question.

As well, the local contractors they work with are not held to a very high standard, apparently, as they overcharged us for a storm door that was so poorly installed it could easily be ripped out of the door frame. Multiple phone calls have not been returned and there has been no effort on their part to remedy this error. I don't expect anyone from HD would see this, but I hope others do and avoid this store.

We had a great experience working with Paul for new window treatments. He visited our house to work through the design process, and then personally handled the installation. We're really happy with the workmanship and quality of the installed products. Thanks, Paul!

I wish there was a negative stars! My experience with Home-depot roofing has been horrible, I don't even recommend them to my enemy!
Bunch of unprofessional, who are there to steal your money at all cost for terrible work they perform, I find out through few others, and their experience is been the same. Maybe is only in this area, but avoid them at all cost.

If I could give zero stars I would. Do not get your cabinets from this home depot. The kitchen design department is the worst. We worked with Carlos and it was an awful experience. It took him forever to order our cabinets and he could not send us a breakdown of what we ordered because "his email was down." He assured us everything was ordered correctly. 4 weeks later my cabinets came in and my top decorative molding and toe kicks were not in the order. I called Home Depot and he forgot to order them. He then replaced the order and I had to wait two and half more weeks to get the moldings. When the he moldings finally came in, it turned out he did not order enough. Once again I had to hunt down a manager and have her order more moldings (this is not the third order). My kitchen has now taken 5 weeks longer than it should have because their employees can't order anything correctly. My experience has been a complete nightmare. I advise you to drive out of your way to go to another Home Depot or go to Lowes for your cabinets.
