Artistas que reconocí por mi origen hispano:
Dalí, Botero, Diego rivera, Siqueiros, Tamayo, Clemente Orozco. Y estoy seguro que los exponentes de otros países son como mínimo, de la misma importancia.
En la parte final se encuentra una obra de Van Gogh.
Cómo consejo: la pinacoteca cuenta con obras mucho más históricas y complejas, y casi todos la pasan por alto. !!!Vayan a visitarla también!!!

Sooooo busy, far too many people allowed in at the same time. Lots of big group tours and you are just unable to get through the crowds let alone actually look at things. The ceilings are absolutely beautiful but I wouldn't go again. Definitely book skip the line tickets as the queues are very long.
It was always my dream to visit the Vatican and I wasn't disappointed:)
There are a lot of tourists there so I would recommend buying tickets in advance (probably with the "Skip the Line" option).
It is a bit tricky inside to navigate, so I would also recommend taking a tour with the guide for a better experience...

Huge place, but incredible. You need almost a day if you want to see everything. It closes at around 6a.m. so it is better to visit early in the morning
Not just the Sistine Chapel. Many amazing works, sculptures, paintings, frescoes, tapestries, and mosaics. Glad we went on a tour but we’d like to go back again and pass through at a much slower pace to really appreciate everything there is to see.
Magnificent and so much history and beauty to take in. The skip-line-tickets are worth it! Go early before it gets too crowded. Audio guides for €8 are a wealth of information and makes sense of what you’re seeing and you can wander at your own pace.

2. Inside the museum, all the members are moving you to continue. Very hard to enjoy and get involve into the museum or even take photos.
3. I think 1 fully day dedicated to the museum could be sufficient or preferred to go and visit St. Pietro Basilica.
4. Entrance is 17€ per person without booking. It will be a lot of people asking if you want to buy a guide tour but prices will be very high.
5. For man dress code, it mentioned that shorts should be covering your knees, but it’s not true. A lot of man got in without following that rule. Honestly, today’s short are upper knees and are the normal ones. So, relief yourself and go with it.

This is a beautiful place. It will take you half day to go around the city. Book tickets in advance but it’s best to do a self guided tour as the English tour guides don’t have a clear English accent and the tours are difficult to follow. Better to book in advance if deciding to go.

A galeria abriga uma coleção de 10 tapeçarias flamengas do século XVI, baseadas em desenhos de alunos de Rafael. As tapeçarias foram encomendadas pelo Papa Urbano VIII em 1531 e retratam cenas da vida de Cristo.

If you just want to see the Sistine Chapel, I recommend skipping ahead and going straight to it. The museum is big and can be tiring, I went to the Sistine Chapel and I didn't regret it. The audio guide is very explanatory. You must wear appropriate clothing to enter the Chapel, covering your shoulders and knees. You cannot take photos and must remain silent.
Absolutely worth the visit, even if you are not religious. It was so beautiful. We loved everything about it but you really should spend the day there. On tour, we were so rushed and I’d recommend maybe not going with a tour, and maybe find an audio guide instead. The museum, Sistine chapel and St Peter’s basilica was so impressive to see.
Tickets were sold out when I went to visit, but noticed the guided tour tickets were still available. I recommend buying guided tour tickets as you get a history of the sculptured in the Museum, as well as the paintings in the Sistine Chapel.
Beautiful paintings, rug work, and sculptures all around the museum!
There are multiple gift shops throughout the buildings, and 2 cafés (one was closed on the day I was there). Upon completion of the tour, you’re able to walk through everything you visited previously, as long as you don’t exit the building!

Absolutely Amazing place. We bought advanced skip the line tickets which help us to enter museum in less than 10 min.

Incredible history and exhibits. There is so much to see, it has to be the most impressive museum next to the Louvre.
We went with a tour from Walks of Italy their Extraordinary Entry VIP Vatican Experience.

Bad thing: Its rly rly hot inside during summer be ready for it, getting ticket is hard and lines are long.
Good: You can spend a week in there if you are history or art geek. The amount of things you can see is astonishing.
I am giving it a 4 mainly because of non existing ventilation in there and how hard was focusing on beauty of this place with heat cranked to max.

We booked guided tour in advanced online and that was the best decision we ever made. We booked the earliest tour that also include American breakfast. It was hot and no AC inside the museum, so the earlier you go, the better. The breakfast was good. The quality is much better than what we had in US. Our tourguide was knowledgeable and very organized
You should see it at least once in a lifetime
I found the ceiling in the Hallway more interesting than the majority of Tapestries.
The tapestries are just beautiful and amazing to see how intricate and the time spent by the people who made them is just amazing. Make time to stop and take a look you will be amazed at the detail

Someone was farting the whole time during the ceremony. I didn't mind the first time but 5-6 times is way too much. The toilets are super clean really enjoyable.
ゴッホの『ピエタ』をはじめ、ルオー、モランディ、ダリ、シャガール、マティスなど、どれも魅入るほど素敵な作品が揃っていました。バチカン美術館があまりに広くてヘトヘトになり、事前に下調べしていなかった現代美術コレクションについては、正直飛ばしてしまおうかな…と迷いましたが、本当に入ってよかったです！
The Gallery of Tapestries is part of the Vatican Museums. This gallery consists of beautiful tapestries that cover the walls from ceiling to the floors. Absolutely stunning and very detailed. As with all the gallery it's simply elegant and mesmerizing to walk through the hall. Highly recommend stopping by and spending time to view the amazing artwork.
Face parte din Muzeele Vaticanului și este interesant. Turul complet muzeelor te va conduce și pe aici unde poți observa o serie de tapiserii cu o vechime de aproape 500 de ani. Abia în anul 1838 au fost expuse în galeria special dedicata lor.
Nasce dal desiderio di riaffermare il connubio tra religione e arte accogliendo anche l'arte moderna tra le rappresentazioni religiose. Inaugurata nel 1973 è frutto del desiderio di Paolo VI di riavvicinamento dei giovani ma il risultato, nonostante alcuni grandi nomi (Picasso, Matisse, tanto per citarne alcuni...), Il risultato è modesto e la gente passa senza neanche fermarsi, stanca del lungo percorso fatto e impaziente di visitare la cappella Sistina...come in preda a una overdose di classicità. Ambienti algidi, scarsamente illuminati e poche didascalie non aiutano. I grandi pannelli sono del pittore francese mentre il piatto coi pesci dell'artista spagnolo. Guardate le foto e i video che ho postato e anche le altre recensioni sui musei vaticani e su Roma e le sue meraviglie che ho fatto e se sono stato utile cliccate su utile.
A walk down the history class memories. It's a must visit place once in a lifetime. There is painting in every inch of this place. The paintings are so detailed and beautiful that one will be mesmerized. Since we visited the place during the weekend it was a bit crowded than usual. Would recommend booking a guided tour so that you don't miss out on important details.
Fra i luoghi interessanti presenti nei Musei Vaticani vi è la "Collezione d'Arte Religiosa Moderna", la quale fu inaugurata il 23 giugno del 1973 dal Papa Paolo VI, purtroppo come ho avuto modo di vedere direttamente, spesso non viene visitata con la sufficiente attenzione.
Nel discorso inaugurativo il Papa come incipit pronunciò la seguente significativa frase:
“pregando, cantando, noi varchiamo le soglie di questo ultimo reparto dei Musei Vaticani, or ora allestito per raccogliere opere d’arte, che il genio espressivo del nostro tempo ha prodotto non certo pensando alla loro presente collocazione, e nemmeno intendendo, per la maggior parte almeno di esse, di destinarle precisamente al culto religioso ufficiale.”
Molte delle opere esposte sono frutto della generosità degli artisti, dei famigliari o dei mecenati, che avevano aderito al messaggio lanciato da Paolo VI in occasione dell’incontro con il mondo dell’arte avvenuto nella Cappella Sistina il 7 maggio 1964.
La collezione si declina in molte Sale, le prime sono inserite nel suggestivo appartamento dei Borgia, vi sono esposti oltre 200 artisti per circa 8.000 importanti opere, non tutte esposte contemporaneamente.
Fra gli artisti italiani più importanti cito: Carlo Carrà (1881 – 1966) “Le figlie di Loth III” (1940), Giorgio de Chirico (1888 – 1978) Olio su tela una originale “Natività” (1945-1946) - olio, Cristo e la tempesta 1948 ed altre opere, Giacomo Manzù fra le sue opere, la bella scultura in bronzo “Ritratto di Francesca Blanc - Adolescenza” (1940 – 1941), Giorgio Morandi (1890 -1964) olio su tavola “Fiori” (1923), Giacomo Balla (1871 – 1958) il dipinto olio su tela “La madre” (1928), Renato Guttuso, (1911 – 1987) fra le sue opere: olio su tela “Il Colosseo” (1973).
Vi sono anche molti grandi artisti stranieri, fra i quali: Vincent van Gogh (1853 – 1890) "La Pietà" (1890), Henri Matisse (1869 – 1954) esiste una apposita Sala con pregevoli opere, Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989) da segnalare: l’opera che affronta in modo moderno il tema “L’Annuncio” (1960) e il “Crocifisso” (1954) dove il Cristo è rappresentato senza croce, Fernando Botero (1932) olio su tela “Viaggio verso il Concilio Vaticano II” (1972); olio su tela “Quattro generazioni” (1984), Marc Chagall (1887 – 1985) importanti tele fra le quali: “Pietà rossa” (1956), “Crocifisso - Tra Dio e il Diavolo” (1943), per concludere uno struggente “Cristo Crocifisso” (1951).
Consiglio quindi la visita, dedicandogli la dovuta curiosità e attenzione.
