A cosy and welcoming place to have a meal. Indoor fireplace wards off the winter morning chill, coffee is tasty, food is plentiful and feels like it was cooked at home. The traditional Eggs Benedict is an absolute winner!

Food was amazing, one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. The atmosphere, the wood fire place keeping the place warm. Definitely would recommend going there with friends or family. Oh did I tell you how awesome the staff is. Oooh their homemade jam. Definitely coming back.

The quality of the food was so poor served with absolutely nothing for over 100 rand.
No effort was put into the meal. Disappointing

Service is very friendly. There are plenty in seating inside and outside.

The scrambled eggs have a weird smell. Not sure if it's the cooking oil or using a pan that is used for other food. I used to order regularly but stopped because of that.

The Owner was super accommodating when I told him I am gluten and dairy intolerant. He had my pancakes mix made specially made for me, wich was already gluten free. I have not found any other restaurant in Somerset offering so many gluten free items on their menu and then be prepared to make something specially for me. My husbands omelet was also perfect.
Well done Farmhouse!! The staff is also super friendly.

You must try the chicken mayonnaise and crispy bacon footlong, thank me later.

After the previous horrendous experience with Sandton branch not getting my order, I decided to give them another try....same order different branch.
Suffice to say, payment once again went through and then the branch called me to enquire why I did not order through Sandton, then sharing that with the BRIC conference things are challenging with traffic and they will not be able to fulfill my order.
I would love to rate them better, however, this being my second let down - have not managed to experience their food or service any better.
For me,.as much I as I would love to give Sandwich Baron an opportunity, they have let me down twice - especially on days that I am really hungry and decided to order a meal....the lesson is simple - I won't order from Sandwich Baron anymore and will share my sad tale with those who opt to.
I hope you may have a better experience that you can share with the world, cos my experience thus far has been a let down.
Service rated at 3 - due to the manager calling me within minutes of the order to advise of the circumstance....and guess what they usually need to wait a week for your refund, so decide wisely on whether you can afford to do without your planned lunch money and be without a meal due to this.
*That being said, Thank you to the branch for expediting the refund to me - they did it within 20 minutes of the issue.

Order was of such a small portion One little piece of steak on one side of the sandwich. Really a rip off. Then I Rate them on the Uber Eats app, and they say thank you hope to see you soon! Really not happy, they obviously did not read my complaint. Or did not care. Very sad state of affairs. The prices are so high and then you get much less than you bargained for. I could have spent my money so much better at another restaurant.

Great menu, with an amazing selection of components for most items on the menu (eg: meat options such as wors, bacon, ham, pork sausage, etc). Most meals coming out of the kitchen looked good, however, I had scrambled egg which I wouldn't recommend as it was dry & rather tasteless. Lovely, quiet & cosy atmosphere.

Something I did appreciate, which not many restaurants do nowadays, was to show the VAT amount on the bill. So if you are adding 15% tip on your bill, this calculation is done for you. Also, your service tip is then based only on the food amount .... whereas if you calculate the tip on the total, are also tipping on the VAT. Just a small point.

We used to go often to the Farmhouse and always had a great all-round experience. Since New Management has taken over, we love it! Great food, service, friendly staff and the "new look" is much better. If you went there before, you won't regret visiting again and again and again.....

Dine in or take away you will always enjoy the meat.

Parents can bring their children to play while enjoying a delicious, affordable meal inside or outside of The Farmhouse. There is a swingset and one person can look after their children while the other can enjoy their date with the children. There is a variety of farmhouse items like jams, classic sweets and kitchen utensils. Frozen soups and meals can be purchased at a very affordable price and they are definitely worth it

If you,like me have wandered through the plethora of new shops that offer " delicious, homemade food." And if you, like me, have bought these frozen packs of gunk , masquerading as gourmet, homemade and fresh, you will, like me, by now be sorely unimpressed with the idea. However, this establishment is not one of those. My only problem is that the lasagna is so absolutely perfect. So utterly compelling. So beautifully made; that I keep ordering it. And I've ordered it over a dozen times. It is astonishingly good. The ingredients are top notch, and the flavour perfect. This is seriously good food. I haven't ordered anything else, but I can say this,; the attention to detail, quality of ingredients, the consistency and flavour convince me that everything else would be expert stuff. As for the Lasagna.... its world class. Proper stuff.

Authentic and delish convenience to take home and get bragging rights.
