Lovely place, lots of promise. Photos on website promised fantastic creative food and for the price we also expected it. Although the quality of the food was good, it was very ordinary, I cook better at home during the week. The steak tasted great but it was just a smallish slab of meat on a plate (with a few boiled potatoes) Nothing special about it at all, same for all other courses. Real disappointment so totally not worth the price.

My recent dining experience at Blanko was nothing short of a culinary delight. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was captivated by its modern and vibrant ambiance, which set the stage for an unforgettable evening.

Super great food and great selection of wines. In addition, the great service from the friendly staff is also always welcomed.

The atmosphere at Blanko is also worth mentioning. The stylish decor and chic surroundings create an inviting space that is perfect for any occasion, whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a celebratory gathering with friends.

Overall, my experience at Blanko was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of delicious food, impeccable service, and stylish ambiance make it a must-visit destination for anyone looking to indulge in a memorable dining experience.

I had lunch at this establishment yesterday I had oysters for starters and I was flabbergasted by the mignonette sauce they served me, it literally had two tiny pieces of shallots!! I was looking forward to having a lovely lunch before my flight to Johannesburg and to say I was disappointed would be a total understatement.
The best spot to wrap up the trip in capetown with beautiful sunset, live music, and kind people. BBQ Beef rib is the best among others. Colorful moktail made of berries is also nice.

better to book a few days earlier to get a nice seats near terrace.
Stunning views and atmosphere. The food here is actually pretty good as well, however the service is just shocking from arriving to us leaving. Waiters are disorganised, they will leave you sitting and waiting for long periods of times and don't be surprised when many items on the menu are out of stock....they however only come and tell you +-10 mins after having ordered the item.

Very nice restaurant, with nice staff and friendly service. Delicious meat, carpacho . Good assortment of alcohol and wines. Nice interior. A place I would like to come back to.
The food, atmosphere and service are a 10 out of 10. Can’t wait to return. I had the Lamb Chops and they were some of the best I've ever had. I had fries with a side of their delicious mushroom sauce on the side and mixed vegetables 😋

Another establishment that needs a 6 star function! Lloyd. Our waiter. What an absolute legend. Every person in this establishment is excellent and looks fit for a runway.

All the flattery aside. The chef is a show stopper himself. Food is well presented, proper portions and incredibly tasty. It’s not cheap but it’s great value for money all things considered. The surrounding area is nice for a meander too. Exquisite venue and surrounds. Must book. Will be back.
Lovely, innovative sushi that was fresh and delicious. Was a bit disappointed with my dessert - mango pavlova - it was soggy and didn't look appetizing at all (deconstructed and soggy).
Lovely setting and good service.
Large variety of food and beverages. Good quality and value.
The place is always very busy, we had to book a table a day prior to insure we got in.
But it is loud, very loud.
Life Grand Cafe boasts a stunning location with views that are hard to beat. However, the restaurant's culinary offerings sometimes fall short of its breathtaking surroundings. While the menu is ambitious, guests might find that the execution of some dishes lacks consistency. The presentation is usually spot on, but flavors don't always live up to the visual promise, and the prices can feel steep for the quality received. Service, while generally pleasant, can occasionally be inattentive, especially during peak hours. The cafe's decor and ambiance are its strongest points, offering a reprieve from the bustling city life. In summary, Life Grand Cafe is worth a visit for the views and atmosphere, but there's room for improvement in the realms of gastronomy and service. Especially when it comes to wines. There is a wide range of options, however tasting is not offered when ordering per bottle. This can be tricky when the vast majority of options are only offered by the bottle.

Excellent fine dining experience in a nice country-Style house restaurant. Great selection of regional wines, excellent food and attentive service.

Would certainly recommend this place
A lovely experience, and if you sit on top you get to enjoy beautiful views of the harbour. Food was delicious and not too expensive, I ordered the chicken platter which was not entirely what I expected but not in a bad way, the lavash was not lavash but the bread was tasty. The livers was super rich and tasty, and the chit Ken drummettes is a showstopper.
Not an everyday restaurant, but slightly cheaper than other up market restaurants but still delivers the something more special than mainstream feel.

We had a great birthday dinner celebration. It had all the potential to deliver the best ever. I think certain dishes are to die for (must try steak Florentine) but unfortunately the winter set menu that I tried wasn’t so great. Example, it’s beautiful artichoke season and it’s a shame that they used tinned artichoke as a starter dish. Their carpaccio is cured ham or similar. To be fair I think it’s tough to run a profitable restaurant at the moment and their service was impeccable. I just wish their menu isn’t a hit and miss.

Celebrated an anniversary with a dinner here recently and was left feeling very pleased with our experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout the evening and the slow evening meant we had no noise in the library area where we were seated.

The food is well priced and is made fresh. We ordered the calamari starter and the carbonara + lasagne for mains. All the food was amazing but we felt the carbonara could’ve been a little bit tastier.

We were treated to a surprise cake for dessert!

Overall we had a great time and would recommended this place to anyone else looking for an upmarket yet affordable meal out!
It was beautiful at Life Grand Cafe and the meal was absolutely amazing. I had the T-bone and some white wine on my first trail. It was so amazing that I had to get some more when I was in the axis again. And the customer service was stellar, this is regardless of the crowd they always attend to. Someone tries to make a table available at every minute and you get your order in prompt. You could choice to dine in the restaurant or in any extensions around the reception.
