Fantastic track short but challenging
Very lovely course and good for walking as well , tight fairways but great course all in all
I attended a 2-day training conference here. Everything from security entrance sign-in to snacks, lunch and incidentals were professionally handled. The dual adjacent large screens in the 25-ish seater conference room helped make for an impactful conference.
A tight course layout with a decent halfway house - rates are fair and the greens are decent for this time of year - definitely a must play in summer.
Really enjoyed playing here. Beautiful clubhouse and really welcoming members and staff. Favourite of our Joburg golf rounds

I love this place, always have. We played there yesterday, got told we need to grab-n-go at halfway because a golf day wanted to start. The whole first nine we were waiting for the group in front of us. Nothing to do with us.
Unacceptable, never going back. And the greens are in terrible condition at the moment. Avoid like the plague.

The course is in okay condition. It is winter, but some of the fairways and greens need tlc. Enjoyed our day out on the course!

Exceptional day out at the Jonsson Workwear Golf Day. The staff delivered excellent service and and the food and beverage was really well presented and delicious. It was a privilege to attend an event at this Golf Club. If I hear about future events I will definitely plan on attending.
This course is in terrible condition. Charge extra maintenance fee for bunkers and they don’t seem to have been raked in years. Hardly any sand and full of pebbles, more like playing out of a quarry. Unlike other courses don’t advise you on hollowtining which is really no use seeing most green are damaged. Staff don’t give a damn either when you raise your complaints. Overall unsatisfactory for what used to be a top course.
Golf course is great but the food service is abyssmal.Staff are friendly enough but to wait 45 mins for a breakfast is unacceptable.This is the third time I have experienced this.I knew that I was facing a long wait so decided to order first and then to go and have a shower. Came back from shower and waited for food to arrive.
Kudos to Investec for the planning and foresight to construct the new dam and install the massive irrigation enhancements on the course.
The course has been transformed under Dean Whitson's supervision and is again a jewel in Sandton.

Had a Sunday lunch at the Restaurant. Awesome place and the food was great.
It's really therapeutic and I love how short the holes are. You don't need a whole golf bag and can get your steps in as they don't offer golf carts because of how short the course is
Loved it so much though I was soaking wet for the love of golf😅
Great golf course and beautifully maintained. Wide open fairways and nice short rough so even you just miss the fairway you still have a great next shot
Refreshingly good. Under a new GM that is doing his best to make it a fun and friendly place to come play golf. We'll done Jeff. Pro Shop is well stocked and golf ops staff are engaging and polite. Great experience. Keep it up Team Wanderers GC.
At its best it is probably the best conditioned course in South Africa. Great design for pro's and amateurs. Great challenge. Great halfway house. Highly recommended.

Incredible views of the golf course from the outside bar.
Entrance to the club house looks very neglected and uninviting upon arrival. A dead water fountain becomes nothing else but dead rock blocks if it doesn't function. The food was acceptable and the bar over priced. Could do with some overseeing and maintenance.

Beautiful views and customer service is amazing. Food does take a little longer after ordered when you order inside after you have finished your course, but when you pre-order for breakfast at your halfway piont, it is ready on time and delicious.

Beautiful scenery, well manicured lawn and a nice club house.
Bad, slow service at the halfway house and a course so unforgiving that you will hear "fore" shouted more than on any other golf course coupled with the number of other, more enjoyable, courses in the vicinity makes the course easy to skip if you're looking for an enjoyable round.
When we played we were given the security guard's cart but were charged full price despite it being knackered.

Not only is the course amazing a testing to every level of golfer with the ability to change so dramatically with the variety of teeing grounds, the condition is always impeccable and the membership base are truly friendly and engaging. The vibe is amazing from the first time you walk in to when you leave. 10/10

The course was brutal, PGA rating. I had a longest day with my group. Overall the course is great n we had fun
Nice well maintained course, some challenging holes, friendly staff and members, makes one feel at home as I am from Cape Town, I was made to feel welcome, the half way serves delicious meals quick and efficient, facilities for functions is modern and neat, adequate parking and the green and cart fees are competitive.
Very nice course. Good food and value for money... Some of the older club members are a bit rude but it wont detract from the course. Challenging... Will visit again
Very nice golf club, my husband has been a member for many years but decided to take me for lunch there today. It was delicious. The menu had a wide variety of things to choose from. I'd highly recommend it.
And if you're a golfer it's a great club with friendly people..

Extremely challenging course and off my bucket list. Fairways run parallel to each other. Roughs are extremely rough and course is in need of serious maintenance. Make sure you take alot of spare balls unless your a scratch golfer or pro.
Beautiful course in stunning condition which is easy to see why it is a Top 10 course in SA. A true championship parkland course that will test even the best golfers. Friendly efficient service, and a warm welcome will ensure a good day out. Highly recommend any avid golfer takes on this challenging course.
Great golf course. Nice for a social and casual game. Festive bar above the club house. So don’t expect a quiet relaxing drink after your game. Toilet facilities need a little attention.
One of the most beautiful Golf course in S. A. if you are a golfer this is the place to be. Perhaps you want to eat out, the club has got one of the most amazing food Ever with the best chefs. For some of you who love nature, the river that runs across the golf course will give you an out of suburb experience along with so many different birds found there. Why wait go see for yourself.

Awesome course reasonably priced. Food was very good and well priced... Only reason for not giving a 5 star review is the spotter (Nicholas) that we had to pay (R270 in total) for was Pathetic. He added no value and stood with us on the tee. Wenfound all our own balls. Unfair that this should cost the course 1 star but would like to warn other players to not take this spotter

Greens are immaculate and pace of play is great. Just a few of the fairways were dry but hopefully once the rainy season starts they will get better. Awesome views of the lake while playing.

Enjoyed playing the Wanderers. Enjoyable course. Hope they finish soon with the installation of the irrigation system. Kinda disruptive
This course is kept in excellent condition, fairways are extremely narrow and tress give one something to think about. Would love to walk the 18 next time. Par 3s are amazing!
Felt amazing to finally hit par as an amature. A few month in and I'm hooked. As for this course is was rather exciting. Big thanks to the ground staff who located my sandwedge not once but twice and all the hard work they out inot making sure the course stays in great condition. Crossing the roads just added to the thrill.
Super chilled venue. Great value for money and a good selection of beers. Felt perfectly comfortable as a non-golfer, simply enjoying lunch on the terrace.
The course is in great condition and definitely worth a visit! It is not easy as you really need to think about where you need to be for a good approach. The staff were also friendly and helpful.

Could be 4.5 stars. Golf course is great, pro shop staff friendly. Unfortunately halfway house has no Plant based options. Not even a plate of chips. We are in 2021. Would be happy to pay R70 for a veggie burger or Veg stir fry. Even R40 for some chips. Luckily BK the waiter was so friendly the whole day, it made up for the lack of food. Thanks BK.
Amazing views. Breakfast was good, friendly service. Highlight for me was the mushrooms, very tasty compared to elsewhere. Will be back to taste the Belgium waffles.

Lovely, well maintained parkland course, conbeniently located 5 minutes from home for us. Awesome chipping and putting greens. Quaint small-town-vibe club house serving fantastic pizzas (the Wanderers HMS is a must) and with very friendly, on-the-ball staff.

Fantastic golf course. Most difficult greens in Johannesburg but a beautiful overall course design. Plus: best driving range in Johannesburg!

The golf course is well manicured. Clean and tidy
I was shocked at the driving range .R60 a bucket and as a non member you only allowed to use the mats.The grass tees are for members only.

Course is really nice, slightly more water and technical challenges than others in jhb. The lockdown halfway house menu is a bit disappointing I think orders could be better prepared to keep play speed up and maintain social distance etc the round with a cart was R595 which isn’t the cheapest but it’s a really well maintained nice course. Just that halfway house that doesn’t sit well with me or the golfers in our fourballs.

Challenging course, always in good shape. Conveniently located, with surprisingly adequate parking considering the location. Food at halfway is good and reasonably priced. Proshop staff are not very helpful, pity about the attitude since this is always one's first interaction with the facility. Would return more often but expect more convivial service at the proshop as it spoils the experience very early on.
One of my favourite courses. Narrow and challenging. This course is about playing smart. The greens are generally in good condition. Lightning fast in winter.

The food is average, and speed of play can be frustrating. Management of tee off times by the starters is generally not great and one often tees off 15min later than scheduled.
