Sent a vehicle in for a qoute and repair. Charged over R8000 just to qoute and wouldn't release the vehicle until qoute was paid for. Invoice said R850 for diagnosis but charged R8000 + to release vehicle while damaging it and doing 0 repairs.

My mother has always been a loyal client. The owner told her to take her car in for a quote on break repairs. The quote was extremely high and so she didn’t want to go through with it. He then wouldn’t give her, her car back until she paid him R1200 for doing nothing to the car.

A little heads up to anyone who wants to take there car to Technocar Auto Services

Please be careful they say you can bring your car in for a quote to do a service but then won't release it with out some sort of payment made if you decline the quote.

They also don't tell you this before you leave it there. Let me just add is not legal at all.

Great service and great advice , every customer treated with utmost importance, I am glad I didn't waste time going from auto repair shop to auto repair shop, that's not highly experienced in the braking systems as I feel ones life is very important. If Wingate cannot sort it out , nobody else can. We are gifted to still have such specialists in our country.

Fixed my car at quite a low price without even having to buy parts. After I had been told by another machenic that I need a new exhaust camshaft, I took my car to Precision Auto tuning and after observing my car I was told the timing is off. They fixed the timing on the car (which is quite a huge task on my Opel Astra J) the price was so low I could afford to add a induction upgrade. I'd like to give a big thank you to Precision Auto Tuning. There's really great car knowledge and experience I recommended you to try them. I'm very happy with my car and they work.

Amazing car rental. Easy and clear communication, and handling of the car pick-up and return outside of the working ours (my flight was landing and departing at midnight).

I'll add how it went. The car small was booked. But they gave me a bigger car. Toyota Corolla. Brandon met us at the airport at the main desk. We went to the parking lot. There was a car there. Carried out inspection of the car in the parking lot and completed the paperwork. I paid on the spot. The rent is in rands and the deposit is in dollars. After the end of the lease, we met Brandon at the BP gas station at the airport. Filled up the car to a full tank. We looked at the car. Everything is fine. Brandon returned the deposit. We hugged, said goodbye to each other and parted ways. Conclusion. Great company! Oriented to the needs of the client. The prices are great. The car is clean. There were no breakdowns in the car. I want to say thanks to Cathy Halley. I corresponded with her by mail. I will be back and will only rent a car from them. If they allow)

I’ve hired a car from Comet on a few occasions now and can not recommend them enough. If you’re like me and like the sentiment of having a telephone number where assistance is on the other end of the line instead of being pushed around a switchboard and left on hold then go with these guys.
The rental process was seamless and quick. Made the decision today that I wouldn’t ever use any other rental company in Cape Town again.

As international traveller without a credit card used comet as they took debit payments. Got a neat little Renault for a few days with them.Great customer sevice and deposit was received in 3 days! Thanks again guyz

Viven is the best in the business. He treated my car like it was his own and did not rest until all faults were resolved. He gives great advice, has all the diagnostic and dyno gadgets/equipment and always had my best interests (safety and reliability) in mind.
