Hyatt Regency Milwaukee

Old hotel but was reasonably clean. Multiple elevators broken, very annoying. Took very long to get checked in. They REFUSE to pick up the phone, attempted to call multiple times on multiple days. Parking very expensive and instructions not great - can’t call to ask either. Best to park in the 310 structure and cross the bridge.

Upon initial check-in I was greeted with hast and rudeness by Aaron. As the check-in process began he never explained anything about the hotel's activity and accommodations. As Aaron handed me my room card he called me sarcastically the wrong name. I corrected him, yet he continued with the rudeness. So I quickly moved on so nothing else would happen and later followed up with other host who were very welcoming, friendly, and polite.

This hotel should be closed and completely renovated. It is old and shows it. Some of the carpets are nasty and the paint/wall paper is chipped and faded. Everything is just old and worn down. Bathtub dripped and so did the bathroom facet. Irish Fest suggests it on their website and I am not sure why. The staff is nice and the location is good but there are other hotels nearby that are better kept. To make matters worse they charged me twice for everything. SMH.

second time staying here for an event taking place within the hotel. Its an okay hotel. Nothing special. Our room smelled kind of musty, and our blankets had stains on them which was a little off putting. Our bathtub drain was clogged & the hair drier was all caked up & sticky with hair & hairspray. All little things that could be resolved by more detailed housekeeping. Other than that, the lobby & bar is a really nice place to hang and chill. I like the location too as it’s in walking distance of a lot of great restaurants & bars. Also, the back door said it requires a room key to get inside, but it was unlocked for everyone. For safely reason, it’d be nice if that was more enforced.

Location is fabulous, downtown where there are plenty of things to do and a wide variety of places to eat. Starbucks on location. Rooms are big enough for our needs, cleaned and maintained daily. The only issue I have with the rooms is that the walls are very thin, and voices travel.

I arrived for classes/ conference & Aloha was the most helpful front desk clerk I've ever met. I'd had a rough flight & my luggage didn't come in with me. She made me laugh, temporarily forget I was kinda mad, & promised to leave a note for the next shift about my luggage. All of the staff here are very friendly as well as helpful, & the Monday night bartender had great suggestions on the wine. Try the bar food menu. It's clean, they're prompt with concerns, & courteous. 10 stars to this Hyatt Hotel.
