Local restaurant with southern comfort food. Enormous portions. Succulent turkey breast. Loved the corn bread. Interesting place. Not a touristy place.

We usually love it here- but last time was a big bust. Service was incredibly slow. Although we waited a noticebly long time for food, we got no drink refills, and no yeast rolls. We never got rolls because they were "still in the oven" old standards on the food were as expected- but definitely some burned and overcooked items due to sitting under a warmer or on the stove too long. Hoping the next time will be back to Farmers Market Standard.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for decades. In recent years newer management has updated the building and the menu, with mixed results. The new decor is pleasant; the chairs are uncomfortable. The menu uses cute names for menu items, which I find off-putting; it’s childish.

Service was timely, professional, and polite. However there’s a constant turnover in the staff we didn’t see prior to the current management.

The kitchen still cranks out the old recipes and serves some tasty and filling meals. But less consistently than in past times. E.G. at breakfast, the scrambled eggs were runny. If I want to eat a raw egg, I’ll order it that way. One biscuit was soft and fresh; another hard and dry.

Overall this restaurant has moved down from a favorite we frequented weekly to an occasional check in to see how it fares.

Cute little restaurant. It was really busy for a random Wednesday afternoon which is a great sign.
The food was delicious the service was off. I’ve never been handed my ticket before my food comes out. The server wasn’t really friendly or personable. Wham! Bam thank you ma’am situation.
Definitely check it out if you’re in the area the shrimp and grits were good, needed some extra seasoning and kick.

Best place I've eaten in a very long time. I had the club and a side salad. The dressings are homemade n delicious.

This is the place for home cooking! We were in Ft. Meyers not sure what was around as far as restaurants go, found this little GEM. We live about an hour and a half away, this place is so good that we will go again and again just to eat here! Food, service,& cleanliness an all around wonderful place! Reasonable prices. Thank you so much for our experience here we have told everyone about it, just an amazing place for comfort food.

Featured in USA today and other magazines this historic restaurant ( one of oldest in Florida) lives up to the hype and is a must visit in the area!!! Fantastic country fried steak, mac/cheese, rolls, mashed potatoes and green beans. Only disappointment was the lack of quantity of chocolate cream pies! Peanut butter pie is good if you like peanut butter! I even bought a T shirt to wear in pride for the goodness of this restaurant! Several women working have been there for 56 years!
