Ultimately a 4 as it's crowded and slow, food's not too bad. Brunch became lunch when food arrived lol

Good service, friendly staff, good avocado on toast. Lunch prices were reasonable considering the area and a 3 $$$ sign restaurant.

The food was amazing and the staff and service were top notch. The taking away of one star was the lack of AC or fan in the section we were in. Tokyo was/is going through a heatwave and even though our group’s reservation was later in the evening the area we were seated in was still 30-31* C. There was one “movable cooler” but it was for one area instead of both areas. I will say that when the issue was brought up the staff were very receptive to help with the heat issue.

Amazing little gem for breakfast/ brunch. Service was excellent, as to be expected. Salmon Benedict, amazing and not slim on salmon. Ricotta Pancakes were a close second to the famous spot in Omotesando.
Coffees, very good and proper cappuccino . Must try for newbies and go to for patrons!

This was my second meal here in two weeks. Both times the food was excellent and the service was too. Elegant interior and guests seem to be having a wonderful time. Very very busy with people waiting outside in a line both times so I know that we must be a patient sometimes for such a nice experience. The ricotta pancakes are a dream come true! In all the cities I have travelled, the attention and care of the French woman marion is top top 😗😗🙏

Nice cafe in Ebisu.
We visited Gitane New York on a Saturday morning, after making our reservation a day before.
It has a nice interior and friendly staff. Customers seem to be mostly Japanese families and friend groups (It is Covid 19, and quasi state of emergency, so no foreigners in Japan in general ). It can also be a good place for a date.
We ordered both of the Egg Benedicts (salmon and pastrami) with coffee latte, and paid around 2700 yen per person.
I fully enjoyed my pastrami one, while salmon was just OK for my friend. Coffee was good. Portion size was not small at all (for Japanese people or foreigner ladies).
It might be ok for some foreigner guys as well, but big ones might want to go for meals that come with fries instead of salad.
I can definitely go back for pastrami egg Benedict or to try a new dish. Good atmosphere, good food.

Got the half size kale salad (700 yen) and americano (650 yen). Kale salad was delicious but the price and portion size did not match. Overall interior of the cafe is cozy and quiet in the morning and the staff members are very friendly.
