Not to be missed. Great museum on General Patton and the American troops. Also quite a bit of information on how the war effected Luxembourg and the people, from the invasion of a neutral country, occupation, liberation in Sept 44, the Battle of the Bulge and liberation again in Feb 45.
There is parking at the museum, just need to purchase your entry and you will be given a ticket for your dash.
Lovely lady at the counter who was a wealth of knowledge about Patton, the American troops, Luxembourg and what the citizens went through during the war.

Recently went on a trip to Europe with my father and was very impressed by the content of the museum but also the artifacts and the detailed story of how Luxembourg was impacted by Germany in WW2. Great museum and would thoroughly recommend to anyone with any interest in not just Pattons achievements but to gain a valued perspective by the Luxembourgers. Thanks!

Used the free public transport to get to Ettelbruck station and the museum was not far away or difficult to find. The lady on reception spoke excellent English and told us a lot about the history and reasons for the museum and also recommended other local places to visit connected to WW2 such as the Schumannseck trail (a trail around the woods where one of the major conflicts in the battle of the bulge took place).
The museum itself was very interesting and had descriptions in english to explain the exhibits. The 2 video presentations were well worth a visit despite one being quite long. We spent a good few hours there looking at the exhibits relating to the army and aircraft.

Quite ordinary museum - posters with info and a lot of objects behind glass. Nothing special and not so specialized on General Patton as I had expected. If already know a lot about WWII, then there will be little new.

Wonderful! We thought we would do a ‘quick’ tour, but the Museum is so interesting - The Liberation of Luxembourg, Christmas 1945, but also the stories of the inhabitants during the war - some heroic, some tragic, but all very moving. Great displays of WWII & US military memorabilia. Lovely helpful lady at Reception, & minimal entry fee. Highly Recommended for all ages.

Great museum full of important memorabilia. It tells the story of the occupation of Ettelbruck in Luxembourg. Your journey starts upstairs on the second floor (European first floor). Here you will find reception and purchase your tickets. A floor above that is where the story starts. There are numerous posters be other items that start from the German occupation and goes right through to the resistance and liberation by the US forces.

There is also a room devoted to General Patton.

There a few parking spots outside the museum. We arrived at 11am on a Wednesday and had no issues getting a space.

When you arrive there is a set of stairs up to the next floor or you can take the elevator.

Highly recommended if you want to really understand what Luxemburg was like during the war.

The lady at the front desk was wonderful! So kind and she spoke perfect English as well as French and German.
