The Marine railway is amazing...like an old fashion rollercoaster in slow motion.
Staff and facility display little attention to detail: washrooms needed attention and were totally in darkness after sunset. How do you put a door code in complete darkness?

Friendly and very helpful staff. One stop shop when you’re up North. Really convenient, they offer water taxi, restaurant, gas, convenient store, boat launching. Bryan and Kelly are the most amazing people to work with.

Marina is old and tired. 2 tiolets for entire marina, resturant and ice cream shop. Staff left for night with no tiolet paper in washrooms and did not clean. Asked about showers and said the key would be available but No it was not. Do not stay here

Waiting a week for operators of lock 44 to show up to work...
Great restaurant. Had an amazing breakfast. One selection fed two with leftovers.
Marina is nice, gasoline, power on some slips, $75 pump out.. $50 if staying at the marina, no potable water. Marina is $2 per foot.
Shower and toilet available. Small store and ice cream shop.
Right next to lock 44

Amazing spot to get out and walk around a little. What an interesting method of transportation, something I have never seen before.

Big Chute Marina has a small restaurant on site. Their menu is basic, but everything that we had was delicious. It is a good offering, since there are no other restaurants around. They also serve breakfast.

They have inside and outside seating. Their outdoor patio has a beautiful view of the water. Both of the servers we had, the one for dinner, and the one for breakfast, were friendly and efficient.

We highly recommend the Big Chute beef sandwich. A hefty sandwich with beef that melts in your mouth and so juicy and tasty, served on nice bread and with au jus on the side

This is our second time visiting here in ten years, and the experience is about the same. Traveling by boat, we stayed on the transient docks, which cost $1.95 per foot, per night. That fee includes (for us) twin 30 amp shore power connections and fresh water.
There is a boaters' washroom and separate shower room. Both could best be described as 'rustic'. Not the highest in the quality scale, but I'm grateful that the shower is available for over night guests.
There is an on-site restaurant that offers very basic seating, with pub grub menu items. Nothing that one would consider as overly healthy or sensitive to those who deal with food allergies. Not for us, but that's not why we come here.
Pretty view of the water, and conveniently located immediately next to the Big Chute Marine Railway.
